it's just really funny to me to imagine Fabian actually being a great big brother honorable nemesis.

like, putting a nemesis ward on the nursery with aelwyn's help since "it won't do if they die before their eighteenth birthday, will it?" (aelwyn, deeply sarcastic: "well of course, that is exactly why I put the ward on adaine's room." fabian, too deep in denial for sarcasm: "see? you get it")

gifting them a battle sheet baby blanket since they should start preparing for their battle early on (and yes it's extra fluffy, it's for a baby stop laughing everybody)

generally trying to teach them everything he knows "so their battle to the death will be a fair one"

giving their adventuring party the same lecture on tactics that the bad kids got from his papa

hunting down chungledown bim and any other nemesis so his sibling is the only one who could get a piece of his fund (he just wants it to stay in the family, shut up)

just. fabian being an amazing big brother but also if you call him that to his face he will cut you

As someone who often cites combat as my least favorite part of D&D, I am in love with how Titan Takedown plays to the strengths of its players by making combat the star of the show. Like, you have pro wrestlers whose irl jobs are literally to make combat fun and story-driven. Of *course* they're good at it! I love them bringing in their out of game knowledge of very niche things like how the ropes on a ring work or broader things like knowing you can't treat a Baby Face (good guy) wrestler the same way you treat a Heel (bad guy) without getting the wrong kind of energy from the audience.

Speaking of, I don't watch wrestling so I'm not an expert by any means, but I did research on it for a writing project once and I think it's so clever that they turned shine into a game mechanic. In wrestling terminology, "shine" are the moments in the match where the Face gets to look strong and heroic and cool. The opposite is "heat" where the Heel gets to look villainous and powerful. We've seen shine in action and we'll probably see heat as well because, in the latest episode, Xavier reads out an ability that mentions spending shine OR heat. I bet if they decide to turn Heel, they'll earn that negative, heat energy instead of shine. And that's probably what the gods like Zeus are getting with their aggro, intimidating energy.

Anyway, absolutely baller move from the Righteous Wrestlers to handle the crowd and preserve their image by turning the fight into a dance battle. This is turning into one of my fave mini campaigns.

me figurin' out gorgug's tats for that thistlecaster fic i wrote lol. i spent so long thinking about this fic by myself that there's going to be more art from it. i brain rotted so bad from writing it lmao. 🥲

the back tat and the lil X are from timeskip things in the fic, but the arm ones incl the one on his forearm are the ones he got in sophomore year. :) the triangle shapes were my take on the geometric shapes that are actually a language, and what they translate to is there too. ✨️

i hope i REALLY hope we get to see kristens brothers again this season... i worry about them........................ that very brief moment in sophomore year where kristen gives her brothers a cut of the dragon hoard that was EVERYTHING 2 me. she CARES SO BAD. imagine having to leave your home because it was unsafe but then having to grapple with the guilt of leaving your siblings behind the angst could go crazy. it could go insane

my fantasy high fandom pet peeve is everyone thinking fabian is/should be gay. obviously not to say there’s anything wrong if he were! but there is something telling about people thinking a flamboyant and artsy character HAS to be secretly gay and that a straight high school boy couldn’t just be really into dance just because he loves it
