I see your “Arthur has reflective eyes” and I raise you “Arthur eyes look like slit lamp dilated eye exam photos” (that’s when they dilate your pupil and shine light in it to see the blood vessels behind your eye). It’s similar to the red eye effect in flash photography but I’m specifically talking about the blood vessels being visible.

I won’t share images here cause. Close up eyes. But if you look it up you’ll see exactly what I mean

Cause like. Arthur’s eyes being reflective is so cool BUT. That reflection that animals have is due to a tapetum lucidum, which would let John see in the dark. Which he can’t.

Of course, you don’t need to apply logic to something like a fragment of a god in someone eye balls, I just really like applying science to fantasy elements.

Anyway, slit lamp eyes would make his eyes look hollow, like literal windows that John can see out of.

Maybe if you look close enough, you see images in the veins, or maybe they���re all tangled. Like tentacles? Or just cause they’re al scrambled…

Maybe, at a certain angle, you could see a shadow of a figure. Blink and you miss it kind of a thing.

From a distance, these two ideas would look pretty similar, except his pupils would specifically be red.

IM SO GRATEFUL TO MY FRIENDS WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE TO FINALY GET TINTED PRESCRIPTION GLASSES FROM ZENNI YAYAYAYAY! For just under 50 dollars too! I have severe light senstivity from autism and chroniclay dilated pupils my neurologist thinks might be either severe autonomic dysfunction or mitochrondrial disease. I also get migraines! My reserch showed rose tint is best for light senstivity and migraines so that is what I got! My current prescription glasses are also from Zenni actualy they are this same frames but in pink! They have butterflies on the sides they are very cute they are kids frames :) I have a small face haha XD

Hi question, i have noticed that sometimes lestat’s eyes get really big and black. And this is not always. It happened during the killing in the church. Why is that?

Among other things dilating /dilated pupils are a sign of arousal, intense feelings and/or stress.

It’s a nice little detail the show included there.

So Lestat having big pupils in the church means he was…. powerfully motivated and very emotionally involved (and probably aroused^^) there.

It happens a lot on the show actually. I. e. here, full on emotional mess and angry:

STOP I WAS JUST SCROLLING THROUGH INSTAGRAM REELS AND I FOUND THIS VIDEO ON HOW APPARENTLY A SMALLER SYMPTOM OF AUTISM IS LIKE HAVING DILATED PUPILS. I'M NOT SURE HOW TRUE THAT IS BUT CAN YOU IMAGINE???? THOSE WATTPAD SCENES WHERE ITS LIKE "THEIR PUPILS DILATED WITH LUST" AND THE OTHER PERSON GOES "NO BITCH I'M JUST AUTISTIC" OH MY GOD
