I think Meiko deserves love and I want her to have love. I wanted her to interact with Rui and Ukkomon... And Meicoomon too.

I think they would get along, especially since they're sort of "outsiders" of the Adv'99-02 group and have a few things in common, like being completely isolated from other people with digimon and growing up with only their digimon and parents around...

She could be considered Rui's big sister at this point. I agree with my friend who pointed out that it would be kind of pointless for Rui's whole development if he gets attached to the 02 kids and doesn't make friends on his own. So... I think since Meiko is somehow another person like him... Maybe they could meet and become friends?

(Add Wallace to the mix, and you have the first Toxic Digimon-Human Group Therapy from the Advverse.)

Something something "Digimon Adventure Outsiders" idea.

A silly comic based on this one convo with a friend [pt1 • pt2] which ended up being like... putting Meiko, Rui and Wallace in the same chat group and watching how far it could go with those three.

I think the same, they wouldn't lie to us. I also... Nevermind. Rui: I know it's Ichijouji-kun because he told me before. But I can't believe it, it's... Wallace: And you REALLY believe that he said the truth tho? Rui: ... I do. Meiko: You doesn't seem to believe it, Rui-kun... Rui: ... Wallace: Look, if you can't accept it, then you also don't believe it either. Rui: Ok, I don't believe it. But I trust in Daisuke-kun and the others. Wallace: Trusting is different. Because I do trust them too, but an evil boy genius is too unrealistic, Rui. Meiko: But... It's true that Ichijouji-kun was a super genius boy one. Yet, he doesn't seem... evil. Wallace: Then, if we all agree here, this means the case is closed! Rui: But... shouldn't we take their word for it? Wallace: Nah, they are definitely testing us here. Meiko: ... [Ken and Daisuke watches them] Daisuke: Uh... Ken, shouldn't we-- Ken: No, this is fine. There's no solution for this whole mess.

Digimon screenshot redraw. WITH A TWIST

So,ething thats always bothers me is what would have it looked like if tri. Had stuck closer to the nakatsuru designs. So i traced the high school character screenshots for the adventure characters and middle school aged characters for the 02 kids from digimon adventure. I thought about kizuna too, but seeing as how Iori is the only 17 yr old in kizuna that would be a bit harder imo..

I call this lazy redraws since I didn’t bother to color them except one.

I’m very impressed though that I could draw Taichi’s dorito hair from that angle.

Daisuke with Lui is a special addition because I saw Lui’s rough sketch where he has this very 02 style character design. So i had to include him in that timeline <3

I also included Meiko, because of course I did. <3

Say what you wanna about Tri, but I did love when the cast had been split up with different Digidestined's partners. I love Digimon interaction with others who aren't their partners (i.e Sora and Gomamon) and wish we had more of it.

This magazine poster makes part 5 of tri seem so epic when it was anything but. Oh ophanimon falldown mode, kari, if only you got your time to shine.... meiko you and Raguelmon actually seem pretty cool and determined here.

If only this poster was reflective of the actual content of the movie. It could have been so interesting to see hikari fall into darkness and despair and meiko actually be supportive of her. Or hell if we actually got decent parallels and a real friendship between these two, since meiko's whole image and character was designed to be the opposite of hikari and meicoomon is just another gatomon/ tailmon variant, that would of elevated things to a new level
