If Team 7 were DigiDestineds (Part 10)

(Legally adopted in his mid-teens by Hatake Kakashi) Hatake Sai's Crests would be Hope (Virtue) and Envy (Sin). His digivice is a black D-Ark/D-Power (which lacks the card slot and) which has a medium grey rim (around the screen) & matching buttons & a likewise strap with the clip for attaching the digivice to things being black. The digivice's dark grey square screen has 1 of Sai's Crests appear on it in black whenever he connects with his Digimon partner emotionally in ways that link to the either of the 2 Crests. He has a

Botamon (who he nicknames Ink) as his Digimon Partner. Initially seeing them (Ink is agender) solely as a tool due to his horrific childhood, Sai eventually learns to have a true (a.k.a. healthy) partnership/platonic friendship with Ink. This nearly comes at the cost of his Digimon partner's goofy personality, though; since Sai's unintentional abuse (he doesn't know what happened to him was wrong and child abuse, so it doesn't occur to Sai to treat Ink as a real friend 'til he starts overcoming his own trauma) breaks Ink little by little 'til there's nearly nothing left of their original cheerful personality.

When the duo manages to bond for the 2nd ever time despite all the toxicity, Ink digivolves into

Wanyamon then the next harmonious moment between human partner & Digimon partner results in Ink digivolving into either

Liollmon or

Drawmon or

Ekakimon.

Ink digivolves from both their Drawmon form & their Ekakimon form into

Effecmon then

Fumamon.

Whenever the duo's bond reaches its peak, Sai & Ink matrix digivolve with the latter being at the Rookie Level when doing so. If they's Drawmon or Ekakimon, the end result is

HeavyLeomon. If Ink is in their Liollmon form instead, the end result of them matrix digivolving with Sai is

BanchoLeomon.

Near the end of Team 7's adventures, BanchoLeomon sacrifices himself/themself. Fortunately, a hastily formed shield around them/him lessens the damage from impact then he's/they's magically healed (the medics using all their power to do so yet it still is) just barely enough for them/him to survive; Sai spends many months hospitalised immediately after him & his Digimon partner de-matrix-digivolving whilst Ink reverts into a DigiEgg with no memories of everything that had happened when they hatches. Both receive a lot of support from the others.

Nokia Shiramine Headcanons:

well I started with Arata so may as well keep on going! nokia next because i love her so so so much

Okay, I'm gonna get this one out the way first, but Nokia is absolutely a lesbian to me. One HUNDRED percent going through violent comphet, but a lesbian nonetheless. She's all "I think I might like women but I'm a bit too busy starting a tamer group to think about that right now." Especially if you choose Ami as the player character (she is v much my usual choice so hehe)

Like... Nokia would listen to good luck babe and have about fifty different realisations about it all at once. i like to think she'd call arata after that bcs as much as she goes on about how he's hardly as brother-like as he was in the chat, I think she still sees him as a bit of a brother figure anyway. No one is better than a sibling to help talk you through a sexuality crisis (especially someone who's willing to be blunt w/ you like Arata would be.

She might be naive (and even then, I'd argue that from about mid-way through the game she knows full well how dangerous a lot of the things she does in the hacker world are, but she does them anyway bcs she thinks they're right), but I'd say she's the most emotionally intelligent out of the cyber sleuth kids. That, and her inherent near-boundless empathy, is kinda why I think she connects with Digimon so well.

when everything is all over, she takes all her friends out with her to the egg and rice place she was desperate to go to

the sexualised outfit is sorta a defence mechanism, in a sense? don't get me wrong, she does love it and loves being pretty, but I think a part of it is because it almost give her a reason to freeze up in stressful situations. Because if she's "just a cute girl!!!!" then people won't bat an eye at her for being terrified of things, because it matches up with the persona she presents herself with. So in a way, it allows her to allow for her trauma response, which would otherwise stay unexplained (until they all get their memories back, that is).

i think she'd listens to a lot of (g)i-dle for some reason.

she also probably likes love live! she gets really into it i think and listens to the music a lot.

after finding out Arata is good at baking, she could be found hanging around his flat a lot more. She's a sucker for sweet treats, and though she's jealous at how good he is at it, it brought the two of them a lot closer.

she loves her family so so much. Her dad is an artist, and her mum is a fashion designer. She was surrounded by so much creativity and love as a kid, and even as she grew up her parents always encouraged her empathy and love for the people around her. They would always build her up, supporting her through her failures and encouraging her to always stand by what she thought was right. They're her biggest supporters :) Chitose really reminds her of her family in that regard.

Once everything's over, she's by FAR the most open about how much she cares about people. Even Arata's abandonment issues start to show some cracks.

all her bracelets and necklaces aren't just there for show; they all mean something to her. whether it's a gift she got from a friend or something she bought after a particularly hard time, each one of them has a story behind it.

Ugh, I thought we were over this

So, I posted a story yesterday and... oh boy, it made some people very angry. Or rather made them perform anger, because let's face it, this is just usual performative virtue testing.

This is one of the comment I got under it:

Now, you might ask what the horrible lesbophobic thing might have been, that I did in this story?

Are you ready for it? Yeah, I wrote one character who recently has been confirmed via word of god as a lesbian as bisexual. DUN DUN DUUUN.

For context: The character (and the sapphic ship I wrote her in) has been around forever. And I have been writing her in this ship for a good two years now. The shipping was never confirmed until this year's pride month. And neither was the character's sexuality. So, I - a bisexual, who also knows at least two bisexual women who are a lot like this character - headcanoned this character as bisexual.

And no, the word of god confirmation does not change anything about it. Just like a character getting confirmed as heterosexual will not stop me from writing a character as gay. I mean, my fandom origin story was centered around Digimon and...

But no, the reason why I am talking about this now - other than venting - is how much purity testing is happening with a ton of lesbian fiction and if we are totally honest also queer women in the real world.

As if a character in a lesbian relationship is less worthy of this, if she had been in a relationship with a guy before. Doesn't even matter if she was in that relationship because of comphet or becuase she is bisexual, pansexual or something along those lines. She is no longer a Gold Star Lesbian.

And yeah, this is a big thing folks worry about. Also in the real world. Gold Star Lesbians, a word they use unironically, to talk about women who only ever have been with other women and not a single man.

At times it goes even further. Before I have written fanfictions, I wrote quite a bit of original kinky smut fiction, where I once got a comment on a lesbian one going: "This is not actually lesbian sex, because they are using a dildo!"

Now, I am a trans dude, who lived as a woman for most of his life. I was also always bisexual and yes, I had very gay sex with women. And let me tell you: It often involved dildo's and other toys. Because... that's what a ton of lesbian sex looks like.

This usually is also the kind of people you get the narrative of "trans men are lost lesbians" and "you are not a true lesbian if you have sex with a trans woman with a dick" comes from. It is also the kind of people who will go to non-binary fems and say: "You cannot use lesbian for yourself, because you are not a true woman."

Mind you: These people are very much the minority within queer women spaces. Surveys have found they make up something between 3 and 10% of lesbian women hold this kind of thought. But boy howdy, they are a loud minority. Loud enough that I generally so far have felt a lot safer in queer men spaces, than in queer women spaces.

Do gay men have the same sorta issues going on? Yeah. I definitely have heard gay men argue that if another gay man enjoys fucking a trans man's pussy, he cannot truly be gay. But... well, at least I have not heard about them going on about Gold Star Gays.

But no, really, people. This purity testing needs to end. Because for the most part, you are only hurting other queer women and fems through it.

Okay I know this is hardly an AU because I see it happening in canon, and a friend is into Phantom Thieves and Detective series lately to the point I keep feeling this big urge to explore my favorite scenario-headcanon idea when I’m writing stuff.

What, you may ask?

Ichouji Ken and co. investigating digimon mysteries and cases in some vein for Cyber Sleuth, Hacker’s Memory and other stuff like Dekaranger :) 

But more like, a group of teens focused on solving misunderstandings and some supernatural phenomena which are actually Digimon-related cases.

“Wait Ni, this is just Ghost Game!!”

Well, I admit GG is also in my mind when it comes to that, but we had Ken as detective in the epilogue, and you must wonder if he never went sleuthing between 2002 and 2028 right? Something is making him… decide this was what he wanted to do for his life.

*Ahem* I bugged a friend to make those smol headcanons.

Ken and his friends have a website where they receive cases from people around Tokyo. Besides that, they gather cases from their own schools too.

Besides Ken looking smart, he’s a walking mess. When he’s not in a case, he’s just enjoying his obsessions and explaining everything about them to whoever asks him about them. Daisuke sometimes feels his technical knowledge of things is too much for his (Dai’s) brain so he completely starts feeling a little overwhelmed by the info.

Everyone has a favorite type of case, yeah. Daisuke likes simple and easy tasks. Takeru and Hikari like supernatural-like cases, Miyako likes most of the stuff she can be helpful in, Iori likes to observe and learn more about people/digi and their reasons for such actions, and Ken… He likes everything, and he cannot turn his back on anyone in trouble (he might have absorbed that behavior from Daisuke)

Daisuke is canonically afraid of ghosts. So he’s the kind to be nope-ing outta there whenever he learns the case involves ghosts or supernatural. Of course they manage to drag him over, especially using Hikari as an excuse (“Hikari is going too~”) or Hikari herself pushing his right buttons (“Oh I’d like someone strong and brave to protect me in case something terrible happens!”)

Besides that, Daisuke thinks his crush on Hikari is a secret to everyone else, except everyone – Hikari included – is aware of it.

Somewhere between 02 and Kizuna, Ken started to like Miyako a little more than a friend, but he does not let it be known. No one knows that. (yes, this is canon compliant here.)

Most of the cases they get are some misunderstanding between human and digimon, or digimon and digimon, quite like CS/HM’s cases. 

Since the digimon are known by the public and the number of digimon partnered to people are increasing quickly, this little group activities are important.

If they can’t solve something by themselves, they ask for Koushiro’s help, or the Chosen Children network on the web, or even Gennai (or a Gennai clone).

Got some ideas on table with the friend into Phantom Thief genre again

Their nemesis is Arsenemon, a digimon who steals stuff stolen from the Digital World by the selfish humans/”renegade” Chosen Children. He’s classy and sassy, which makes Daisuke lose his patience with him all the time.  Ken is also determined to stop Arsenemon, but not on a deep level as Daisuke.

Arsenemon can disguise as anyone, and since they don’t know what he looks like, they are clueless. One day someone claimed to have seen Yamato leaving a museum at night and then the kids had to clean Yamato’s name. Turns out Arsenemon’s hair is sorta like Yamato’s…

That said, Yamato hates the idea of some digimon having his haircut or uh… having his face…

Hikari works for her (and Daisuke-Takeru’s) school journal, so this digimon intrigues her as her editor keeps asking about him. She takes photos for Ken-and-the-group’s website.

Miyako helped Ken to build the website and the chatroom to gather cases. The entire group was kinda into it at this point. Students and children from their schools could come ask them for favors and even give them rewards for their assistance and counselor, but they don’t accept doing it for money or gifts. They do it because they want to help humans and digimons to get along now!

Arsenemon does have a point and they accept it, once it is revealed to them his real motives to steal stuff. And yeah, they kinda… side with him later.

By the way, Arsenemon has a human form, but since he can transform into anyone… Well, I’d post his design later (might be a bit of a spoiler for another thing I’m working on but… whatever? )

I’ve been thinking about it more and more… Sorry in advance.

The 02 group only started doing this because someone was having free time after school and decided to watch Dekaranger and fell in love with it, and since the series kinda felt very close to their reality… The idea was pitched to the rest of the group, which thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea. After all, they were already doing something like this for a while, right? 

When it comes to Arsenemon, the 02 group starts trying to guess who they are… By checking each person outside their circle of friends who’s close to them, especially because of the mysterious Calling Cards they receive. From the suspects they led to two Chosen Children in Daisuke-Hikari-Takeru’s school: Youta and Mizuki.

Youta is suspicious BECAUSE he tends to be all smug and a little aggressive on Daisuke, by making poor Daisuke have a new rival. Youta is also called “Soleil” around the school, and is smart. Partner digimon: Coronamon

Mizuki is suspicious because she’s strangely involved in some with one or two people related to the heists. She’s the pacifist and most calm person in the school – enough to be called “Lune” by the students. She’s also part of the school’s journal staff. Partner digimon: Lunamon.

Noel/Étoile is a kid involved with those two too, so he became another suspect. Besides that, he’s a shy boy who recently started attending the same school as Youta and Mizuki.

The digimon are permitted at the schools, but not at classes. The digimon spends most of the school hours outside the school, in the yard. Some school staff members make sure to feed them and keep watching their behavior, in order for none of them start picking fights against the others or damage the buildings.

Now about the digimon: Soleil’s Coronamon is a more noble and serious digimon with a better sense of justice than his partner, but he’s so loyal to Youta that he won’t argue with the boy. Meanwhile Lune’s Lunamon is a very sweet and gentle one, except she’s very very overprotective of Mizuki to the point this can become a nuisance. 

No one knows who Étoile’s partner digimon is, or if he has one. He tends to not talk about that at all. However he seems to get along with the digimon quite well?

Since Arsenemon can be anyone, and the 02 kids have no idea how to stop him, they lean into suspecting of everyone – except themselves Because… Well, you know, they know each other quite well to not be fooled that easily.

Soleil serves as Daisuke’s nemesis, Lune as Hikari’s rival, and no one has a beef with Étoile because he’s a good kid.

Étoile seems a little clueless about certain stuff, or being kinda weird when making food combos.

Arsenemon has many ways to send a calling card to the 02 group. Some are very creative and some are a little intrusive.

For the calling cards, Arsenemon likes to sometimes pick just one favorite victim because of their reactions. Yes, it is Daisuke. (Angry) Daisuke noises are his pleasure.

I'm not sure I can do full blown headcanons for this, since you seem to have a lot of it figured out already. But here's the skinny on how this would most likely play out:

First of all, because this just reminds me of OUAT too much, Hook defects to the hero side for reasons probably pertaining to wanting to adopt Cody (as everyone should)

He and Peter take a hot minute to even attempt to get along, but when they do, they probably take down Dr. Frankenstein, who is honestly the easiest target anyway, probably (even with the added caveat of his monster)

The Digimon Emperor already probably doesn't work well with any of the other villains (conflict of interest), so a divide and conquer approach as laid out in a previous post probably works best here

The only difference is the help of Peter and Hook and the OUAT-esque tones

There might be betrayal of the Rumpelstiltskin kind, there might be secrets of the Rumpelstiltskin kind; basically, Digimon just because Riverdale with Peter Pan, on steroids.

Hook and Peter Pan also provide some slightly easier transportation, what with the pirate ship and the pixie dust

A flying Greymon is a terrifying sight is all I can say (and I think Maleficent can agree)

Another thought hence why it's here and not on my fanfic based blog. Out of the Link Chain, Four is the only one who has a still living parent sorta in his life. I don't know if it's canon but I sorta headcanon Wind and his sister being adopted by Granny.

Considering we like having other Links, AU based or getting involved with the group... wonder how they react to another Link that has a very peculiar family. Like it's rare enough for an incarnation to have relatives in some shape or a peaceful childhood. Then there's the idea of taking this further when the members aren't what people used to. I'm not using the human term as mixed families whether it be by blood, through marriage or adoption, are a thing plus the various species that exist in LoZ.

An example I'll be using is Digimon inspired cause appearances vary a whole lot species wise. Good chunk being so monstrous that they really don't have be part of the Nightmare Soldiers classification (which is reserved for demons or demon adjacent) to scare someone shitless. Even temperament is another thing to be cautious of as some Digimon can be mellow while some will just maul ya on sight.

Why not up the pressure when this Link's parent is a Digimon with either a dangerous temperament, a demon lord that even the embodiments of the seven deadly sins or a living force of destruction. Some good examples being Lamortmon, GranDracmon, alongside Apocaylmon.

Lamortmon, a vicious berserker that won't stop until either their offender is dead or the one closest to them holds em back. An ancient demon lord that looms over the digital equivalent of Hell itself and lures angels to their downfall, GranDracmon. The living embodiment of the void, neither good or evil, and destruction bringer Apocaylmon.

Despite all this, a certain blonde child ends up happily in their care. Now take into consideration every adventure the members of the Chain been on. Very few had any positive or neutral experience with these type of people. Time, whose the defunct leader, isn't one of them. That means you have a powdered keg situation at hand.

First impressions aren't something that will go well especially if the Link in question is near said parent. The kind of sight that causes assumptions and when it comes to the Hylia's chosen... Those are dangerous if enacted.

Do you fault them for charging in? Not fully. Dawdling is tempting the balance between life or death situations for the group. None of them had the luxury to examine a scene fully without the worry that someone is going to die. Breaks can be rare at best to non-existent at worst.

Every single Link had the fate of the world placed on their shoulders without any major help. Hell, there were times where armed fighters just drop their current issues onto the Link of that time period. That ends up manifesting unhealthy trauma induced viewpoints which aren't addressed until they blow up.

Soon the harsh reality crashes when the Link they thought was in danger had been on a peaceful outing. That the heroes attacked someone who beared no threat to anyone. Want to break the camel's back even further?

Find out that the new Link in question bears power aligned to darkness. A power never wielded by the Goddess's Chosen unless it is cursed base. Light is always viewed positively in the LoZ series, Twilight being middle ground and darkness viewed as evil.

A mindset that has never been fully challenged nor explored upon. Especially when you look closer into the actions of the Sheikah and the Royal Family dark secrets. Just know that certain dungeons such as the OoT Shadow Temple to enemies like ReDeads, Darknuts, and the boss Bongo Bongo hold unsettling traces NOT connected to Ganon/Ganondorf in origin.

Even the Fierce Deity Mask is under suspicion as the detail for the item question asks 'Could the dark power inside be worse than Majora?' You can only imagine the potential disaster to occur when it isn't the case. The world isn't black or light. It's grey. Darkness can't exist without light and vice versa. Chaos will always be with order. Evil can be born of light as heroes can come from darkness.

The Chain will have to adjust, question what they know, and be forced to see that the paths they led could have gone differently. A thought to muse over when you place them in a situation like this.

Digimon Frontier Headcanons

Takuya, Kouji, Izumi, Tomoki, and Junpei go to the same elementary school (not Kouichi he lives too far away, but joins up with them later in Junior High)

Tomoki has the same class as Shinya and immediately recognizes the last name

Takuya, Izumi, and Junpei have the same lunch (Tomoki and Kouji share lunch)

Izumi's classmates are actually super jealous of the fact that Junpei and Takuya got to befriend her first

Guys, guys they're literally dumb(tm)- like alone they function like himans, put them together? They barely function

Everytime Takuya has a soccer game everyone shows up (like it's an unspoken rule)

They visit the digital world after a series of mishaps. This time it's different, this time they take their time, this time they're heroes and there's no big bad chasing them, this time they're just kids having fun

After school they meet up and walk home together

Kouji keeps his word, the only person he calls 'okaasan or kaasan' is his stepmom, but he calls his birth mom 'mama' instead

Kouichi does not like his dad (how would he? Kouichi at least had a faint idea of who his father was, but Kouji spent years mourning his birth mom for no reason and being belittled by his dad for doing so)

In contrast he's fond of his stepmom, she's sweet

Izumi's birthday is always a lowkey nightmare because she convinces the boys to go shopping with her, and they don't leave for hours (Kouji might enjoy it, and Tomoki might be having fun, but that's besides the point)

Izumi at one point learns to drive a motorcycle

Takuya picks up the guitar

Kouji is a decent singer, but like how often can they get him to sing?

The sheer amount of power that Bokomon (and Neemon) have as the adopted parents of the holy angel digimon?! I-

The doctors were confused as to what happened leading to Kouichi waking up from being essentially a goner, but they went with it

They ushered the kids out, made sure Kouichi was okay, and let them talk for about thirty minutes before sorta kicking them out (except for Kouji)

While outside waiting for Kouji, the others exchange numbers and hope Kouji has a way to keep in contact with Kouichi (he doesn't necessarily, but when he gets out and exchanges contact information with the others he remembers to get it the next day when he visits the hospital)

Takuya arrives home at around the same time his dad does, he is immediately hassled about his location (more like yelled at by his mom) and just has to wait until after Shinya's birthday party to explain to his parents in private that one of his friends is in the hospital and that the majority of his time missing was spent there.

Tomoki's return is whiplash, at first his parents think that he's angry with them because he no longer asks for much of anything, but they gradually get used to it.

Ok second neurodivergent digimon headcanon woo!!! With this it sorta ends soz for not putting other seasons but I'm not like super familiarized I guess or I just dont feel that qualified idk.....

So 2nd and 3rd are koushiro and mimi who I think are autistic

The mimi thing is based on this thing my sibling told me where some people tend to be very bossy, which she tends to be if we think about the princess episode and some stuff in tri respectfully

Also in tri, where she says that when she has an idea that she likes she tends to lose sight of what others are feeling or thinking

Also she is very blunt like dude isnt Crest of sincerity for nothing

Also also the fact that she's very very emotional, and a lot of thing seem to upset her (on the 1st season mainly)

Also unrelated but her and joe are definitely the type of little kids who cry at the 1st day of kindergarten (or elementary I guess)

Next is koushiro

We can think of this bc he isnt very social, he has that one scene in the 1st season where mimi is crying but he doesnt seem to care or see it as something very important and keeps doing things in his computer, the fact he's always doing his own thing, or how when they encounter any one he's like "cool mind telling me more about the digital world" which is evidently a big interest that he has bc even if he knows a lot about it he's always searching more about it and asking n stuff

On that same note he has some intense hyper focus, like on that scene on tri where they are all start talking about Joe's gf but he keeps telling them about this issue in the digital world without noticing, or in that other scene in tri where he spends like 3 days without sleeping trying to find solutions to this virus thing

Another character I think has autism is juri from tamers I also think she has chances of having bpd mainly pointing to that scene where they are inside the deliva in she's like wow I'm so selfish and grabs her neck with her dog puppet (the punishing yourself thing after an action you regret) also the negative self image she seems to have, and after Leomon dies she sorta becomes super dissociative

Also on the autistic thing that one scene where she asks takato dad where's takato but she like spells out every syllable

roleplay update / blog headcanon:

this blog kinda-sorta follows, or at least sometimes reacts, to real world timing and events. this means that, due to the current real world pandemic, I headcanon that Kouichi is working as a doctor on the front lines combating the c0r0nav1rus. at this time, Kouichi has been studying to become a doctor for a at least a year (since the digimon frontier blueray release last year, April 2019, confirmed Kouichi was interested in medicine) and is working as a nurse, studying critical care medicine, emergency medicine, first aid, and especially interested neurology (due to dealing with head trauma himself)

I headcanon his mother is immunocompromised, and Kouichi has made sure she is self-isolated away from him while he works rather relentlessly (as a continuation of his ‘I have to do some good in the world after all the evil I have caused’ mentality). I imagine Kouji completed his trip around the world, and is staying with their birth mother exchanging stories and keeping each other occupied. I also imagine Kouichi and Ken Ichijouji working together closely, as Ken studies psychology (@twistedstarlitspirits)

concerning psychology, I headcanon that Kouichi deals with a form of dissociative identity disorder (DID, formally known as multiple personality disorder, or MPD) and that Ken is kinda trying to help him along with it. I am not a psychologist, nor am I a doctor, but I have done extensive research and hope to portray these aspects of Kouichi fairly through role playing. if there are any questions or concerns, feel free to drop me an ask!

14. What's a fandom where you have oodles of femslash ships?

Digimon. I mean, no big surprise given it was my main fandom for like 15 years and such. But yeah, Digimon is just very, very gay to me in general.

There is Mimi/Miyako in Adventure/02, then there is my OC Rin with Ai in Digimon Tamers, Miki/Megumi in Digimon Savers, Akari/Nene in Digimon Xros Wars (especially the Manga where Nene is officially bisexual), Eri/Ai in Applimon and then of course Ami/Nokia in Cyber Sleuth.

Then of course the boring answer would be "PreCure", but I am a less active shipper there. xD

Also, Digimon Adventure has the Utena reference of course. So Miyako/Mimi is basically canon, if you ask me!

Also there would be League of Legends but... Uh. It's about the same amount, I think.

16. Are you there any characters that headcanon as being lesbian or otherwise wlw without having a ship in mind for them?

Uhm. Kinda. Sorta. I guess Carmilla does not really count, because she is canonically confirmed to be bisexual xD

There is of course Shanoa from Order of Ecclesia, who I absolutely have headcanoned as an ace-lesbian xD But I have not yet written about her that way. (Mostly because I barely dipped my toes into writing for the Castlevania games so far with my only fic so far being for Aria of Sorrow.)

I mean, look at her.

I also headcanoned Illaoi in LoL as bisexual, but am not shipping her with anyone currently. Same goes for Captain Fortune. I absolutely read her as bisexual, but she never gets confirmed and while I enjoy having her flirt with everyone available, I do not really ship her with anyone right now.

8. Any femslash poly ships?

I mean, kinda. In PreCure I do have two polyam shippings so far. One is basically the entire Cure Team from PreCure Splash Star: Mai/Saki/Michiru/Kaoru. And the other one is Doki Doki PreCure (or Yuri Yuri PreCure as the fandom tends to refer to it) with Mana/Regina/Rikka/Makoto. I mean, that series was just gay af. xD

I remember someone a long time ago asking about belly/fat/weight-gain/muscle/giant headcanons for Tai from Digimon. You said he was the only Digimon character you could do, and that you couldn’t do it at that moment in time and would in the future. So I’m curious if we’re in the future yet?

Well some of those were probably never really going to happen since I really don’t do fat/weight gain or giant stuff and it’s now been so long that there is Digimon Tri with updated Tai (who looks appealing) but I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet and to do it justice, I probably need to watch that to see how he’s grown. Plus I guess it also makes it going to have to be an alt universe of sorts since in that universe Season 02 only sorta happened(?) so then it’s like divergent realities on how things would go.

Hmmmmmmmm what a question. I guess, through life? This sounds like such a bullshit answer haha but yeah, I found that the best way to keep your inspiration going is to live life and experience new things. Most of the ideas behind what I draw come from things I did myself or saw or said or heard and so on - talking to my friends and family inspires me, books inspire me, music inspires me, going out and looking at people/places inspires me, other people’s fanworks inspire me a whole damn lot too! As far as I’m concerned, inspiration is sort of everywhere - there’s days in which I’m more receptive to it, and days in which it flies right over my head and I sit there wondering where the hell it went, but in general as long as I’m living and doing things ideas in the end will come my way haha

It’s why it’s called transformative work, after all!! If you want to keep as close to canon as you can then all the power to you, but once you start transforming the canon (shipping non-canon is included in it, of course), putting a limit on how much you can transform it would just be unfair! As long as we’re all on the same page about the fact that it’s not canon, and therefor no one can force the idea on anyone else, I don’t see a problem with it!

I JUST..... I JUST REALLY MISS MY OLD DIGIMON OC......

I don’t even know if anyone here would recognize her at all (other than maybe a certain Kari!) bUT..... well, this was actually my old Digimon OC, Hikaru! Many years back, I had one of those Digimon “FDD” (Fictional Digidestined & Digimon!) websites, and it was young me’s pride and joy, my first website that I made all on my own ;3;/ ;3;/ Complete with low quality graphics, comic sans ms, script based roleplays, and Digimon and anime midis galore! (A-ahaha.)

Although, back then I had pretty much zero ability when it came to actual art (I was always more of a writer, orz) and so her look ended up being basically “inspired” (read as: ripoff) of adult!Hikari but with a teenager look, and the story took a huuuge amount of “inspiration” (read as: tropes) from Sailor Moon too (also The Legend of Zelda), a-ahaha. OTL. Her Digimon (twin Digimon ala Wallace’s) were also obviously Chibimon/DemiVeemon recolors (DemiSilveemon and DemiGoldveemon, respectively. I didn’t even have to create an evolution for DemiGoldveemon because he’d basically become Goldveedramon, an actual Digimon!, while “Silveemon” became “Silveedramon”, a-ahaha. So original, I know.)

Regardless, they still have a very special place in my heart and I wish I had the energy to do a complete overhaul of her story nowadays (and actually finish it - I only ever managed to write through the second story arc out of like... eight-nine which was also to have a huge sprawling amount of story arcs after, which I had detailed in extremely lengthy “spoiler” summaries back then pffft - also, it was all to eventually tie into a story arc covering the epilogue and extending the story of that.) Unfortunately, my drive to do so has kind of dried up o-orz...

B-But now that I’m much older, I’m kinda sorta thinking about redesigning her at the least?? I’m super into Japanese fashion now (!!) and would really love to give her a redesign with like.... a very pretty classic styled one-piece, long A-line dress with a petticoat, maybe in a dusty pink color, with cute ruffles and embroidery, white sleeve cuffs?? and probably either neckties and/or (detachable, for look variety!) long sleeves. MAYBE SHE’D EVEN HAVE HER OWN HUGE WARDROBE OF VARIOUS ADORABLE DRESSES ALA CARDCAPTOR SAKURA/CLAMP it’s a nice thought anyway to at least redesign her main outfit in mind, even if I can’t create art for it, aha...!! ;3;/ (ALSO would change her hair color so it’d be less like Hikari’s [which was intended at the time for story purposes/tropes/etc.], though it was still a slightly darker brown - it’d probably be a bit more wavier/curlier too, and something like an even darker brown [deep brown?? nOT JUST BC OF MY OWN HAIR A-AHA....] (possibly also with bits of red through it!!)... at the time she was also created with no set eye color aside from (a darker) blue in mind; maaaybe she could have something like hazel eyes now? which could probably make up for that with the “color changing” hA ALSO SHE WAS MIXED/MULTIRACIAL/MULTIETHNIC ASIAN/JAPANESE-AMERICAN [+OTHERS] SO THERE WAS THAT YEAH!!)

Her Crest was actually the Crest of Faith, since I figured Jou’s Japanese crest’s name could also translate to “Honesty” (maybe even remain “Reliability” still, idek, which I thought was still perfect for Jou) and ‘Faith’ as a trait just held a very personal meaning to young me at the time ;3;/ (Basically never giving up, believing in yourself, etc.!! SHOUNEN/SHOUJO MOTIVATION) Though the image here didn’t quite portray the crest as I would have liked, I did want the imagery to involve a stylized crescent moon symbol and a star (probably now with it hanging outside of the moon somewhere though, not inside....), and the color to be dark pink (which would have also been the color of her D3) [it also had gold and silver buttons because of the two Digimon]. It’d be nice to try and re-design that too somehow ;3;/

All of the art here (sans #4, edited by young me a-aha) was made by request, and I’m to this day, forever grateful to the artists: Skye G. (#1 and the adorable emote!), Kari Avalon (#2), Tiara/Chiara (#3), Alana D. (#5-6), and Jennifer M. (#7)!! Anyhow, a lot more rambling under the cut!

So yes, her story did lift a HUGE amount of “inspiration”/tropes from Sailor Moon, complete with the typical “Digimon Princess” theme and everything o-OTL. HOWEVER the more lengthier, sprawling story also had story arcs and tropes I still would have loved to explore in more detail - the 02 kids each had their own story arc where they’d receive their own personalized Crest traits (Iori’s was Wisdom, I can’t quite remember Miyako’s atm orz but she had one too [EDIT: MIYAKO was Loyalty, Iori’s was Wisdom!! Loyalty would fit Iori too maybe though aha?]; and of course, Daisuke got Miracles!) and their Digimon would all get to evolve into their own evolutionary lines.

The Adventure Chosen would eventually have their own arcs too; involving “Negative Crests”, evil clones, and actually the main villain of the entire fic was Alphamon - who wasn’t even featured in the main canon materials much at the time! (SO YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW MUCH I FLIPPED OUT WHEN HE WAS REVEALED AS THE MAIN VILLAIN FOR TRI, A-AHAHAH) Aaaanyway that arc would have dealt with each kid encountering their evil clone, being attacked by them/fighting them against the real kids’ wills, learning about them and their backstories, and the real kids’ Digimon would all finally evolve to Mega/Ultimate forms; the clones would have then been defeated after their corrupted virus type Digimon were destroyed, and after the clone children and their crests no longer being corrupted; them all dying peacefully to rejoin their Digimon in the Digital World afterlife. ;A; (.....I STILL GET LOTS OF FEELINGS THINKING ABOUT THE STORIES I HAD PLANNED FOR THEM ALL, SOMETIMES, I ADMIT, ESPECIALLY MY FAV KOUSHIRO’S BECAUSE LIKE. /NO MY HEART/ ALSO, THE DIGIMON WERE ALL TO BE ESPECIALLY AMAZING, ESPECIALLY TENTOMON + HIS CLONE BECAUSE LIKE. YES. NO??? HUMONGOUS CORRUPTED VIRUS TYPE ARMORED GIANT BUG PROTECTING CORRUPTED TINY CHILD AND ALL. Also, if you saw my previous post on Koushiro AUs (AKA: MOSTLY SUFFERING), the AU idea there about “Koushiro fully losing his curiosity” would have been detailed in that storyline, too [just in the place of the clone Koushiro, with the real Koushiro trying to help/save him.... but alas.......] ;3;/) (also the clone Koushiro may have not understood his own feelings and that he was hopelessly in love with the clone Taichi who didn’t know this at all until he found out at the very end; and who also died; yeah there was lots of drama/angst to be had)

As for the “Negative Crests”, basically, each Chosen would have had to fight against the darkness attempting to corrupt them and the Crests they had “lost” (which they’d then “regain”), with each cloned Chosen having the Negative Crests, like so: Taichi -> Fear Yamato -> Loneliness Sora -> Hate Koushiro -> Ignorance Mimi -> Lies (Impurity??) Jou -> Betrayal Takeru -> Despair Hikari -> Darkness [/that feeling when I actually finished Hikari’s arc along w/a Ken + Daisuke miniarc cries] (THE CLONE/DARK!JOU WAS ALSO V. EPIC AND BASICALLY BETRAYED ALPHAMON BY FINDING OUT ALPHAMON’S PLANS AND DESTROYING HIMSELF BEFORE ALPHAMON COULD FULLY CORRUPT HIM AND WIN, DARK!JOU AND ALSO JOU HIMSELF WERE SO EPIC, YOU GO JOUs !!!)

Also, being a kid at the time, of course I paired my OC with my other favorite character, of course (.....DAISUKE AHAHAHA) though young me was also very into slashfic and also not-so-subtlely hinted at underlying Tai//shiro storylines as well as not-to-be (orz) Ken//suke (mainly from Ken’s side; it’d then lead to the Ken//yako kids). All of it would have tied into the post-02 epilogue that basically explained “how the heck did all this happen and what do they and the epilogue kids do next??” AAAAND YEAH. (EVEN YOUNG ME LOVED TAI//SHIRO AND KEN//SUKE / DAI//KEN TO DEATH, OK, OK, YOUNG ME KNEW WHAT WAS UP)

Soooo I’m sure you can imagine how I feel now watching AND (MOSTLY) ENJOYING Tri and seeing other new interesting character(s) (Meiko!!) instead, ahahaha. ...Though now I’m also missing my old OC(s) and reflecting on all these old storylines I had (AMONG OTHERS), WHY THIS...... ;A;/ Ah well, it’s still nice to reminisce....!

(BY THE WAY, YOUNG ME ALSO NEVER SAID SO AT THE TIME, BUT THIS OC [AND COINCIDENTALLY ALSO DAISUKE] WAS DEFINITELY HEADCANONED TO BE SOMETHING LIKE BI/PAN/DEMI??...!! Hikaru as a character would have felt to her personally, purely looks or physical attraction was secondary - she would have probably believed in soulmates; developing a very strong emotional bond only with a person who loved and accepted her for who she was, and who she was the same for them. For my character, at the time, that was Daisuke...! H-Hahaha, though - she was also to have a backstory involving another (boy) OC she loved dearly, one who had disappeared (or: died/taken by the digital world) and she had to move on from (nOT.... HELPED BY ONE OF HER OWN DIGIMON DYING PERMANENTLY [the gold one], I’M STILL SUPER SAD I HAD TO KILL HIM OFF BUT IT WAS NECESSARY FOR THE STORY it was also a huge part of her character development and flaws including how she reacted to death/grief and would basically withdraw heavily into herself ALA KOUSHIRO AT HIS WORST.....); she would have then learnt to move on and found her personal true happiness & also her true love. So, at the time, that was Daisuke (despite the major Ken//suke undertones because it was [very] sadly not to be in that fic, o-orz - also Daisuke was a huge underdog/underappreciated within the fandom at the time (and also within OC fic which was near exclusively dub based), who was constantly bashing him for the dumbest of reasons jUST. WHY WAS FANDOM LIKE THAT-)

-- but back to Hikaru now, NOW....?? idek, maybe she’d find someone different and Daisuke would end up together with Ken?! WHOOOO KNOOOOOWS (MAYBE EVEN POLYSHIPS, THAT’D DEFINITELY WORK TOO, YES)

(ADDING A BIT MORE ABOUT HER PERSONALITY!!:) -quite mature as well as modest -secretly a huge computer geek that would also be very experienced at coding. This, of course, made Koushiro something like a senpai to her, and they’d often excitedly discuss computers/coding (along with Ken chiming in at times) while the rest of the Chosen would blank stare (hhhhhA) -despite this however she’d definitely not be on Koushiro nor Ken’s levels but she’d be on course to fast improvement with their guidance!! (also keep in mind this fic was originally written when I was a very young kid when girls who coded were acknowledged even less o-orz) -(ALSO SECRETLY A VERY ENTHUSIASTIC GAMER) (eventually, she’d come to hang out with Daisuke [+Taichi, Koushiro and Ken when they visited] to play games!) (the outcomes would often be: defeat Daisuke [repeatedly], defeat or draw with Taichi [to his dismay as well], be beaten by Koushiro and Ken [to which she’d vow to challenge herself to become better!]) -typically very optimistic/positive, kind/friendly, warm, welcoming, helpful, respectful etc., unlikely to have a mean bone in her body and basically extremely loving and supportive towards everyone -this would often put her at odds, however, with more competitive people or ruder people who weren’t as warm or welcoming; though she’d accept that being the case, she’d often be troubled that she did “something wrong” -speaking of being respectful, though she also wasn’t near Koushiro (or Iori) levels of “-san” respectfulness, she did use proper honorifics for everyone and often hesitated to change honorifics, even when prompted. (The older Chosen were a mix of “-san” [Yamato, Sora, Mimi until Mimi demands the use of “-chan” as per typical] and “-senpai” [Koushiro, Jou, and even Taichi, to his bemusement] mainly due to her having been intimidated to be new at the start, which is.... qUITE A LOT LIKE MEIKO’S NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT...) -despite her typical personality though she would stand up for herself and her friends as needed, especially in the face of evil/darkness -though very friendly, much more of an introvert than an actual extrovert; she’d rather stay inside unless invited out by the others (who would often have to insist she join them) -had some initial regrets about moving from America, even though things were harder for her there (where it was even harder for her to fit in) and it was necessary for her parents’ jobs, it was still her original home, so she holds her childhood close. -becomes chosen to be a Chosen Child due to her initial involvement with Digimon involving the OC who was “taken” by the Digital World (though she wouldn’t learn this was the reason or understand how/why it happened until later) -her story arc would essentially revolve around her learning to pick herself back up after grief and helping to save everything

(ALSO A BIT MORE ABOUT THE DIGIMON): -DemiSilveemon/Silveemon was more like Hikaru herself; though with a more eternally optimistic/supportive personality; though also somewhat more naive and silly, also with a short temper when something (DemiGoldveemon) irritated her. But when things would get tough, she’d always know the right thing to do \o/ -DemiGoldveemon/Goldveemon was much more extroverted / hyper / exciteable and super energetic/even more supportive!! ...though he was also the troublemaker, often getting into mischief and causing headaches for Hikaru and DemiSilveemon. However, when he’d have to put playing aside and defend his friends, he’d become extremely cool and awesome...!! ;A;/ (Later on, he’d also reappear briefly in spirit form to remind Hikaru and Silveemon to not give up \o/)
