BKDK Rant

I cannot express how much bkdk has actually just stolen my heart. No matter how you look at it, platonic or romantic, it's such a good relationship build up and they are truly so close. I cannot see Katsuki with anyone but Izuku at this point because I genuinely believe Izuku is Katsuki's 'only exception' like 'if I cannot love anyone else you will always be the one I ever did.'

As well as IzuOcha, love them, but her whole character arc is realizing her crush on Izuku was only just admiration rather than actual like or love.

BkDk had better build up and time put into it and so did TogaOcha. Both these pairs had more build up than IzuOcha and it shows that each one has a strong bond, even if one is dead. Izuku will kill for Katsuki so matter how much he gets hurt and Ochako will always think about Toga for the rest of her life, there's no saying either of Katsuki or Toga didn't love those two either. Katsuki definitely fully realized he love Izuku especially during the time skip or even before.

Chpt 341 honestly doesn't make sense to me and I know it's basically an alternative ending or something for the reader to base an ending to their liking off of but Izuku is NAWT like that bsffr rn. I genuinely think we would've jumped at the chance to be with Katsuki and fight to become top heros together.

Katsuki basically purposed with that because what do you mean 'I wanted to fight on our heels to the top for the rest of our lives' ok so you want to marry him 🤨. Genuinely it's so gut wrenching AGHH.

The way Izuku looks at Katsuki as well, his eyes don't shine brighter with anyone else and this is shown. He not only admires Katuski but he loves him with his full heart, especially with the panel where he screams to 'give him back' in which the orginal japanese character is possessive like 'give my Kacchan back'. He does not play about is Kacchan bro 🙏

anyways I just think it's such a good ship and relationship whether you want to see it as platonic or romantic (I see it as romantic but you do you) I love the whole build of it and how Katsukis character develops into such a more calm individual. You can see it from the way his eyes soften and it's so cool with that detail.

i've been absolutely CRAVING to write a tension filled fic where they both want each other but don't know how to have each other. oh my god,,, did this concept absolutely scratch my brain.

i personally had to think for a hot minute abt their banter cos,,, yes, banter is 60% of their chem,,, but the stillness??? between them??? the way they react to each comeback??? how they look at each other or stand or sit too close??? how thick the air feels and how easy it would be to just have them kiss??? oh !!!! i really had to sit in their moment and intensify their feelings

the tension between them was slow with a sense of pressure... ugh. i really wanted to emphasize that their situation was easy. no one was stopping them from being together... but instead,, it was the pure fun of it that complicated things for each other. their dynamic is established since part 1. it's too easy to show the sudden change and honestly? unrealistic.

real tension,, real friends to lovers,,, is slow. awkward. it's this weird sense of uncertainty but also knowing and believing in them.

further, subtle things were so purposeful in each chapter imo. when i write fics,, i take a moment to think abut what each character has to offer the other/their specific traits. for bed chem,, jk as a chem major was like a lightbulb moment for me because 1) it fit the title 2) it made it easier for me to write him as a grumpy nerd 3) it practically paints the picture of what kind of guy he is by all by itself... like, all i really needed to do was be specific with word choice and body language. being a part of the marine conservation club was like a hehe haha thing but also showcased his softer side (caring for the world and wanting to make change,,, etc).

meanwhile, oc majors in psych and she's kind of reckless. she's constantly tripping over her own feet and is unhinged for most for their banter... but she's intentful. she's good at talking around her feelings and her actions,, but she's even better at sticking to what she wants.

because at this point,, they're together but not together,, jungkook tests the boundaries. they have a lot of unspoken rules so he does all he can to break them. oc,, doesn't really do much to stop him and i found it really important to decrease/limit her doubts because 1) the tutor thing wasn't really meant to be this whole trust issue thing 2) they have a lot of security in each other 3) the scenes where he skips the gala,, shows up when she has food poisoning,, when she had a hard day and he comes over to check on her ... it all shows the kind of friend he is and oc feels safe and secure in the man he is and how good he is to her

smut

ok i was realy nervous about this because 1) i was sick as a fucking dog writing the scene 2) i didn't want to disappoint 3) it had to live up to thefic title.

sometimes, i think i have to write these really wild scenes with position switching and insane dirty talk,, but because oc is a virgin... i thought it would be more fun to show her increasing interest to be intimate with him. the dry humping scene was HILIARIOUS to me. i thought it was a funny way of her exploring how fast jungkook would fold and the glasses part... yeah. i really like the way it led to their moment lol.

the actual sex scene i think turned out really cute. they have this... intense yet intimate energy between them. jk taking the lead but oc also knowing what she wants? the way they fuck and kind of just get lost in holding each other... the kissing narration?? learning her?? yeah. that tickled my brain. love the way oc has this playfulness during the entire thing,, meanwhile jungkook was losing his mind seeing her tits.

what's a kimi fic without her collateral damage hottie of the month ? first it was eunwoo/dex for c2u, mingyu for aao, and now it's dohwan for bed chem LOL. i think adding this and specifically my choice in who is coming in to play brings this relevancy into my fics that readers are able to laugh and relate to. brings connection yk!!

dohwan was so harmless ahahhaa. ngl, i think oc hearing jk fuck someone was like a "uh... omg. yikes.. i think i'm kinda jealous rn lol" moment but jk seeing a hickey on oc + being in a complicated state with her was a very "i want to die and i want you in the front row so you can see how much u hurt me and then i want u to cry over me,, only for me to beg god in the afterlife for another chance to live so i can comfort you" moment for him.

their communication/banter was such a big part of this fic. i think the plainness of their words held so much significance that after each line,, it felt like their tension would shift. again, specific word choice was really important. their banter and ongoing walking around their feelings was essential in keeping them (and readers) on their toes. their original ending was supposed to be this vague realization that they wanted to be together and the irony was that i wasn't supposed to write their smut scene and leave it as this tension filled open-ended fic,, but i'm glad i did what i did and gave them a definite ending.

some key lines i put into oc's dialogue was

"think i can do it? get you to want me?" to "i don't know how to have you" and finally; "i want you" was veryyyyyyy... premeditated. it gave this storyline through 3 lines and i really liked thatttt

Guys I freaking love ayano... She's been on my mind for so long and I finally got out of an art block and the first thing i decided to do was draw her because do NAWT get me started on how terrible the actual promo art is..

Let me break down the redesign I had for ayano and also I kinda just did what I liked because Lol?? I can.??

NUMBER 1: I HATE that fuck ass short skirt,, in game I can ignore it cause I'm too busy worrying about the characters more than the actual designs but holy shit in the promo art?? (May all the deities out there bless my eyes from this)

The chronic blush kills me because my pookie bear doesn't even do that unless it's around taro

And holy shit these thigh highs are so ?? I wish I could bleach my eyes rn (nothing wrong with thigh highs honestly it's just how it's drawn here)

Now in my redesign the tie is short and there are some pieces missing from the shirt but honestly my main priority is covering her up.

On another note I literally get COLD from seeing her promo art cause hello.?? I feel like ayano would be a really cold person just in general so I gave her some under sleeves because why not besides they look cute!

Her skirt is long because 1. most schools need skirts alteast touching their knees from what ive seen in the almsot 2 decades I've been alive and 2. I felt like it

Her hair I kept relatively similar cause I feel like if I took it away I'd be taking ayano away but that's just me NOW her lips I feel like she would really wear lipstick to keep a 'natural' look I KNOW ryoba suggest to wear some but they're like a muted pink naturally so she just keeps it like that

The miniskirt, thigh highs and GLOVES is really killing me

The shirts find and honestly so is the miniskirt by ITSELF but I wanted to change it so I did. Her thigh highs are just..?? Unnecessary here I fear. Don't get me wrong I'm sure if it was a better outfit (and a better creator) she could've pulled it off but because of multiple things it just doesn't work. The clash of that green with the miniskirt jean isn't really complementing the black thigh highs

Also the gloves?? I get that like ayano buys yk rat poison and sedatives and blah blah blah but gloves... In the middle of the day/night... In THAT outfit.... It just doesn't work for me

Ryoba didn't wear gloves and she still got her man so I don't get why ayano has to.. if anything have y'all ever seen were germaphobes get a plastic bag and use it to pick up stuff? I feel like that could be used in a situation like this instead of just gloves out in the open,, honestly thats just highkey suspicious (coming from someone who wore various kinds of gloves when going out before)

For me redesign I just wanted something a bit more cuter I feel,, I think the green top couldve been good by itself but once again i get cold looking at her so boom sleeves but then i realized it looks a lil plain (which probably was the point but executed in the worst way possible) so I gave her one of those tops with another shirt connected to it in a lighter minty color. Besides I think it served a purpose to let her JORTS not clash terribly with the darker green,, and I actually like the idea that she wears tights so I gave her black tights (which yk is like the thigh highs but yk not)

is cropping dogs' ears basically always animal cruelty? only because humans think it looks better?

simple answer: no, not necessarily! let’s talk about it!

also i know i might ruffle some feathers here but please look at this w an open mind (adding a read more i know most people prob don’t care) this is long sorry lol <3

i used to be super against cropping (ears) and docking (tails) (will abbreviate as c/d) too until i learned more about it. i also used to be super against the breeding of dogs in general and was very adopt don't shop, i have since educated myself a lot more on the topic (i support ethical preservation breeders of purebred dogs ONLY i do NAWT support backyard breeders or puppy mills who breed mixed breeds, designer dogs or poodle mixes/doodles for profit, people who mass produce dogs, or breeding outside of the standard) now that we have that clarified let's get into it

in the case of livestock guardian dogs (lgd), farm dogs, or working dogs, it actually prevents injury! in the case of a lgd who protects livestock from predators (think coyote, wolf, bear, etc) something like an ear or a tail would be a great spot for a predator to grab onto in the case of an altercation. the ears have a lot of blood vessels and would bleed a lot, having an ear ripped off in a fight with a wolf wouldn’t be very good. with farm dogs similarly, as well as docking tails so something as heavy as a cow doesn’t step on it. working dogs used for personal protection same thing, nobody could grab onto their ears/tail during a fight. also, for the work that they do the ears would hit their face and can split or a hematoma can form, when this happens once it is likely to keep happening/be a reoccurring issue. this is very very painful. as well as cropping ears it’s meant to give them a look of alertness instead of approachability, that’s the part people confuse with “just to look scarier”. while it did help them to “look scarier” it also helped deter potential attackers which in turn keeps the dog & person safer. the dog in the pic that i rb'd that ur referring to is a lgd

so ear cropping non working dogs of cropped breeds for aesthetics is a thing yes and is obviously highly controversial. i’m not gonna sit here and say it isn’t for aesthetics. some people argue it prevents ear infections which might be true but that doesn’t negate that it’s primarily for aesthetic purposes. plus basset hounds and spaniels get a lot of ear infections and are not cropped. but as long as it is done by a licensed vet under anesthesia with multiple ways to control pain (nsaid, nerve block, injectables, etc) in a sterile environment by someone experienced who knows how to do it properly while being closely monitored by professionals before, during, and after the procedure, followed up with proper aftercare, pain management, ointment, antibiotics, cleaned regularly and taped/posted (this is so the ears sit up straight, cropping is done when the puppy is weeks old so the cartilage hasn’t hardened yet) it is perfectly okay, the dogs do not notice, play like normal, it heals nicely and the dogs have little to no pain (this can be clearly observed w people who have c/d puppies) the puppies are back playing with littermates nearly as soon as they wake up. also, dogs CAN communicate when c/d. dogs like huskies have upright ears and communicate just fine, regardless, the ears/tail aren’t only way dogs communicate with one another. the issue is when people diy this procedure with no anesthesia or pain management in an unsterile environment, with no experience or knowledge on how to do it properly, and end up with a botched crop that gets infected and causes the dog a lot of pain. THIS is the issue and what so many people (myself included) should be against. when it’s done properly it is perfectly safe. dog ears heal very very quickly, and when done properly it takes around two weeks to fully heal, after that is just posting so the ears stand up. crops not done by vets are the horrific crops u might see pics of online, super botched inflamed, infected, red and swollen, very painful. that’s why it’s not ideal that a lot of countries ban the procedure in hopes of stopping it. people are going to do it regardless. banning it just prevents professionals from being able to do it safely and encourages people to do it at home with scissors thus causing puppies a lot of pain.

why crop? well, in a lot of cases it IS done to look more intimidating (i mean if u get a big scary dog for protection purposes, that’s kinda the idea, no?). also show dogs of c/d breeds are obviously c/d as showing dogs is about preserving the breed’s original purpose & breed standard. in the case of ethical breeders of cropped breeds (like a doberman) the puppies are almost always c/d BEFORE they go to their homes. breeders have a specific vet they trust (often traveling quite far) and would never make their buyers have to seek out a good vet on their own. the average person doesn’t know what to look for when it comes to finding a good vet for such a procedure nor would they pick up on an red flags, so the breeders get it done at their preferred vet before the puppies go home and kickstart the healing/taping process before pups go home. these breeds are cropped because ethical, reputable, and responsible breeders breed towards the breed standard, which for dobermans includes c/d. the breed standard is there to serve the breeds original purpose and is what ethical breeders breed towards. even in personal protection breeds who are not doing protection work, the ears are cropped in an effort of preservation. dobermans specifically were c/d because they were the first breed bred for personal protection. they were originally created to protect tax collectors many years ago as this was a dangerous job at the time. and being c/d makes it harder for people to grab onto them in the event of an altercation. so in an effort of preservation they are still cropped.

there are cases where it’s medically necessary as well, like a dog keeps getting happy tail but i figured you were talking about cropping for non medical reasons so i didn't include that here

I'm not writing anything new for here, but I want everyone to know that in the Hungry Hearts-verse, after Joel and Cherry combine their respective family units, they go to Austin pride every year (I am Aware that official Austin pride is in August, let me live my lordt).

It's the mid-to-late 2000s, and Cherry has a little case of trigger finger when it comes to Etsy (what she does when she's supposed to be editing and doesn't want to), and as a result, Joel has about a dozen t-shirts whose sole purpose is to be worn at pride. He's got the "I <3 my lesbian daughter" shirt, the "proud dad of a lesbian" one, a couple rainbow-lettered "ally" ones. At first, it's all in support of Ellie, but then Sarah comes out as bi a few years in (do nawt challenge me on this, did you see all that purple? pls) and the t-shirt collection expands with the addition of a new flag.

He had to warm up to the idea of, you know, actually wearing them out in public at first, uncharted territory and all. That wasn't too difficult though, not with Cherry playing with his hair and whispering in his ear like they were teens again about what a good dad and how hot it made him, so hot, being all supportive, baby. What was the other thing? Oh yeah, in touch with your emotions, very sexy of you. Uh-huh, that's him, sign him up for this ally thing, he's good to go.

So last night (amidst some mild stomach pain which I did in fact survive) I watch the original Hunger Games for the first time with my older sister who hasn’t seen the movies since they first came out and I want to yap about it.

(Obvs spoilers if you haven’t seen it which is totally real and valid and don’t let anyone tell you different babes!! We all move at our own pace!!)

“How have you not seen them before?” I was like 9 or 10 when the first movie came out and my parents did NAWT play about movie ratings

To start off with, I did very much enjoy the movie. If I were to rate it I’d say 4.2/5 or 8.6/10. I like that you can feel the 2012 of it all once you turn it on. I like the old CG and will defend old CG with my life. I do have some (incredibly limited) knowledge about the films but no real clue what it means. (For example I knew Peeta was a character in the movie and part of the love triangle but had no clue he was played by Josh Hutcherson). I had not clue about the televised aspect on the games and HOO BOY IS IT INSANE (Squid Games's Mother 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️). The amount of times I said the propa is gandaing, that something was interesting, or tried to call Panem Panema Beach is downright silly.

As for my character thoughts!!

Katniss - Kind of the quintessential teen YA novel girl protagonist but I do like her. I always assumed the “I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE” scene had more buildup but sis went straight to it and I respect that. Almost all her scene post Reaping but pre HG she’s like an animal first realizing they’ve been put in a zoo. She’s very impulsive and one track minded which is ever so mildly frustrating by more in a Girl, come on now way. 9.8/10 love her and her fuckass braid.

Prim - Change her name immediately. She is not Prim as in Primrose, she is Prem as in Premonition CAUSE SHE SAW THAT SHIT COMING A MILE AWAY MY GOD. Little miss playing her was acting her ass off, every one of her screams made me jump. 9.8/10 has currently done nothing wrong.

Gale: All the way I do not give a fuck about this man. He lowkey pisses me off. “But he didn’t do anything” EXACTLY MY PROBLEM BABY!! Nothing wrong with being an idealistic dreamer but babe you sitting out in a field while your bestie/crush is actively fighting for her life has no real impact. Still baffled by the idea his name was put in 42 times and he didn’t get picked. If he was really bout it, he would have volunteered right alongside Katniss. 4.5/10 do better.

Peeta: NOW THIS IS MY BESTIE‼️ If Katniss came there to win the fight, Peeta came here to play the game. He’s very charming and sweet and saurrr childhood-friends-to-lovers-boy-next-door. He’s also an idealist like G*le but unlike him, Peeta actively puts in the work to make something happen. I am not immune to my fav's flaws though and will point out while he always had Katniss's best interests at heart and tried very hard to get her some sponsors, he kinda just does things without telling her ie holding her hand during the parade and announcing his crush during that interview. Still 9.8/10 the only real option in the love triangle currently.

(Mother of Peeta you are so loathed. How are you gonna tell your presumably one and only son that there’s finally gonna be a winner from your district and it’s absolutely not him??? Girl WTF! -15/10 choke fr.)

Haymitch: Mentor I'd Like to FUCK! Tortured alcoholic surrogate father figures you will always be loved 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️! I’m 95% sure the next movie is about his Hunger Games so that’s very exciting. The way he rides so hard for Katniss is adorable, girl dad!! His wig is so wiggy (affectionate). 9.9/10 what is your story king??

Effie: Alice in Wonderland called babe, they want their set back. I really don’t understand why she was on the District 12 team?? Is she also from District 12?? Also you cannot convince me she didn’t pick Prim on purpose she was so picky for the girl side and barely even looked picking the boys. 7.5/10 girl so confusing

Cinna: NOW THIS IS MY BESTIE REMIX‼️‼️ Cinna you are so loved and kind. He said itd drip or drop on the capital and imma make y’all DROWN THE COMPETITION!! Created looks so fierce no one was the same again. Another bug Katniss sweetheart, I love the moment just before the game they share. 10/10 that’s MY GOAT!

Rue: Ok so going into this I knew two things about Rue: 1. She’s a little black girl. 2. People were mad she was a little black girl (emphasis on black). So imagine my surprise when miss girl was barely in the movie and then died. Y’all (you know who you are) just loud and racist my lord. Anger at the fandom aside MY SHAYLAAAAAAAAAA 😭😭😭😭! Was amazing and perfect and I wished she lived just to spite y’all. 10/10 rest in peace queen.

Caesar Flickerman: Bro is the result of a fusion dance between James Corden and Foop. His wig is so wiggy (derogatory). 3.2/10 I want him jumped.

The other guy: I don’t remember his name but he was like the game master or smth?? I called him Mephisto Diablo in my head the whole film. Don’t like his ass either. His facial hair was ridiculous and not in a fun way. Wore red and black everything and then white pants which pissed me off. 3.1/10 stick to a colour scheme.

President Snow: First and foremost, incredible casting. He looks so horrible to exist around as he should. The scene of him crowing Katniss and their brief conversation was SOOO GOOD! One of the best scenes in the entire film (TO ME) is his speech about hope and fear as he’s trimming that flower. Can’t wait to see him in the sequels but especially Ballad. 7.8/10 I love a good villain.

I just saw the most uninformed take ever since Anyone Who Didn't Watch Pili Opened Their Mouth About Ilip, and considering it's Pili related I thought I'd idk. come yap at your askbox about it or something lmfao hope u don't mind — delete it if u do, I just needed to get it out of my system..............

So yeah, there's this anon somewhere saying that Ace was pushing his beliefs onto Zam in The Realm and then I'm over here in my piliner corner like.... Bro. What?? Did we even watch the same fucking server????? He did NAWT do that shit — did he clarify to Zam that their beliefs and desires inherently clash? Yes, he did, because they do. The Cat Isn't Delusional, no matter how much He Looks Like It. He was very clear that he's chasing his happiness regarless of the cost it may bring for him to pay, understanding he'll have to pay it someday and being okay with it, while also being very clear that he doesn't expect Zam to mindlessly follow after his every action just because they're teammates.

He also told Zam that just because they're teammates it doesn't mean that anything Ace does suddenly becomes representative of Zam's own views, values and/or actions — they're still separate people even if they're gladly sharing spaces and resources and whatever else, and Ace understands this. They literally had a conversation allllll about it yesterday that sounded like a fucking breakup for crying out loud, quite literally because their beliefs in regards to The Realm are complete opposites, and Ace respects this; in the same way Ace expects for Zam to not push her beliefs onto him, he won't push his own beliefs onto her.

Not just that, but towards the latter half of the conversation Ace even brought up how all of Zam's self imposed purposes didn't seem to ever revolve around herself — it was always helping someone, saving someone, being assistance to someone else, etc etc. He even pointed out how she seemed fucking. distressed over these goals! How she allows them to affect her psyche and emotions negatively, and how y'know, that's not fucking good oh my god. He told her she should find some form of purpose that was entirely self serving and wholly about herself, and when prompted about what it should be, Ace didn't let her turn it into being about him — "it'd be Ace for PrinceZam then" (paraphrased)

Like c'mon, what is it about literally any of that at all that can ever make someone go "hm. yeah. ace is such a meanie poo poo head who is forcing poor poor zam into being someone he isn't :(((((" and of course, they were putting pilizam down literally unjustifiably for — and drum rolls please! — .... devotions. a dynamic that self identified by the anon themselves follows the general rule pilizam has followed this whole time: the person who's bloodthirsty (Ace, Mapicc) respecting Zam's decision to not kill!
