Gravity Falls Reverse AU/Relativity AU Ideas
Tumblr media
Where Dipper and Mabel are in Stan & Ford's places. Here's how I think some things would translate based on the art going around. Also I didn't create this AU, I just wanna toss my two cents in.
Dipper goes by Mason but is called his nickname by family. Mabel calls him by his real name when introducing him or under stress.
A tale of two Stans = A tale of two Pines (constellations?)
Stan might have a pet opposum (the one from the comic)...or maybe keep Waddles cuz he's cute? Maybe both. Mabel will give it a bow tie maybe.
Ford is the stinky twin this time. Stan uses his cuteness to get free stuff from folks.
Mabel is hard on Ford like Stan was to Dipper. But she teaches both twins "feminine" stuff like sewing, knitting, etc to bond even when they complain. It comes in handy, though. She makes Ford winter gloves each Christmas.
She's a scammer just like Stan was.
Maybe the twins were raised in NY parallel to NJ if folks want to be picky.
Mabel's glitter gun, grappling hook, or perhaps nachos are what ruined Dipper's chances of getting into his dream school. Or Mabel juice.
I saw someone questioning about the swap au how would the switch work with Dipper and Mabel but I had a thought that when the oracle/bill returns, Mabel pretends to have erased Dipper's mind and he's on the plan too. She "accidentally" let's it slip that she had a convo with Dipper about the equation to break the field or saw it in his journal from the invisible ink. And by using Mabel like they did with Stan, Dipper erases her memory.
That's all I can come up with at the moment, but lmk what yall think!

Heyo! Got a question or two. (Or six-)
- Do you ship Mabifica? Or Dipcifica for that matter? I personally like the former more but I'm just imagining Bill's reaction to having to deal with the fact the girl who insulted Mabel is now dating her/her brother.
Actually, even if you ship neither, I just want his reaction the the Pine twins now being friends(?) With Paz.
Would he try to scare her off? Would he warm up to her?
(If you couldn't already tell, Pacifica is one of my favorite characters, just below Mabel.)
- Does Stan and Ford ever get as close as they did at the end of the show? I mean, Ford must be reeling, sure. But.. Do they ever get on that boat?
- Does Bill make an effort to reconcile with Ford? Even just a show of apology?
- And does Ford bond with the twins? Would he just see them as another thing Bill has tainted?
- Also. Are you planning to make fanfiction of this? Or a comic? Or any media that tells the story? It's now become an integral part of my life.
- Last one! What other bonding moments does Bill have with Wendy? We've got the bets, yeah. But is that all?
(I found your au an hour and a half ago, and I'm already this invested. That is absolutely amazing, considering I don't really latch on to things. (Thanks a lot, autism) I love the art, and I love the tidbits. If it ever gets too overwhelming, don't be afraid to take a breather!! ><)
Hello! I shall do my best to answer!
— I’m personally a Dipcifica enjoyer myself! I don’t see them getting together this summer, so it’s less of a dating thing, but Bill would be decent at recognising the signs of a crush forming thanks to Mabel exposure all summer. He’d be completely against it. He’s listing every reason why the Northwests suck to Dipper, all the times Pacifica has done something to make Mabel feel awful! He’s maybe a little dramatic about it, in true Bill fashion, and is taken aback when Mabel insists it’s okay.
Pacifica’s changing, they both say! Mabel fully intends to be Dipper’s wingman!
Bill finds that idea ridiculous. People don’t just change. Humans are known for staying the same once they’ve settled into their body — that’s just how it is.
Pacifica has proven to be the opposite of everything Bill has taught the twins, and so he sees the blooming friendship as a threat and doesn’t like it. It doesn’t help that it’s around the time his fear of changing is at an all time high, so he’s maybe projecting a little onto Pacifica.
He definitely tries to scare her off initially, and when that doesn’t work, he settles with threatening her should she ever make Mabel upset against. His threats are… very intense and it’s clear the issue runs deeper than just Pacifica. He really goes for her insecurities. Honestly, this may be one of his worst moments in front of the twins? Stan ends up having to intervene and try to figure out what’s going on in Bill’s head beyond just being protective over Mabel.
(Pacifica girl I am so sorry)
He doesn’t warm to her per se, not yet, as much as he learns to tolerate her sometimes being around. She does her best to avoid him anyhow.
— Still working out the exact details so I don’t have much to say right now, but yes, he does. A verbal apology from Bill is also kind of a big deal. Like Stan struggles saying Please, and Ford struggles saying thank you, Bill struggles saying sorry.
— Ford does bond with the twins! I think I mentioned in a post a bit ago that Dungeons Dungeons and more Dungeons is like a gateway for their relationship, and it helps Ford become more comfortable around them and vice versa. Though the general unease still lingers at times, Dipper starts to get comfortable asking him more and more questions about Gravity Falls, and Mabel knits him a few sweaters and tries to catch him up on all the pop culture he’s missed etc. Sometimes he snaps at them when he needs space, and he tends to hide behind Stan some days, but they do get to know this new Ford, and begin to get closer to him bit by bit before Summer ends.
I think he does see them as something Bill has tainted, but not in an irreversible way. If anything, it motivates him to try and get to know them more once the initial fear has settled, to try and re-instate himself as Ford Pines, and be their Great Uncle.
— I don’t plan on making a fic or a comic, mainly because I am busy right now and juggling a lot. It just isn’t something feasible for me and I notoriously don’t do well managing long projects. But, I am hoping to do art and maybe mini comics for it, once I defeat my art block and style crisis, perhaps some one-shots too if I can also defeat my eternal writers block. I’m honoured you think that way of it though!!
— They generally have a very positive relationship! Bill is seen as the cooler Stan by her friends, mainly because of the fact he doesn’t really act his age, and happily enables anything they want to do, and so whenever she needs something, she tends to go to him. (“No hard feelings Stan!”) And If Stan taught her how to shoplift, Bill probably taught her how to get away with murder, not that she’d really need that, the thought still counts. They also share similar music tastes, so when Bill’s around the shack, he’ll ask Wendy to blast some AC/DC while they work. He’s also taught her all the ways to get under Stan’s skin, because he knows for a fact she’ll use them.
I think this AU too, he’s the one who showed her the rooftop spot. He encouraged any form of rebelling against the system, even if that means slacking and getting Stan to shout at both of them.
Thank you so much!? That means a lot to hear and I hope you continue to enjoy it!! And I appreciate it, I’m trying to take it slow and answer whatever asks I can and when I can, to avoid getting overwhelmed.

A/N: I once saw a post talking about how Mabel could be aromantic because she seems really in love with the idea of being in love and picks a lot of random people to have crushes on, and as an aro person that felt SCARILY familiar lol so here you go.
Ford is aro gay <3
“Ugh.” Mabel draped herself over the arm of the couch like a piece of laundry, stomach down, long hair flopping. “I can’t believe I’m 15 and still single! I’m never gonna get a long-term boyfriend!”
Ford, who had been preparing himself tea in the kitchen nearby, poked his head into the room, as though to ascertain whether his great niece was talking to him. They were the only two in the shack right now, aside from Waddles, so it was a 50-50 chance.
Well, maybe 25-75. In Waddles’s favor.
“Grunkle Ford,” she lifted herself a little and drew back the curtain of her hair so that her eyes peeked through, “when did you first get serious with someone?”
Despite being addressed directly, Ford still glanced over his shoulder to make sure there wasn’t anyone behind him, perhaps some alternate-dimension Stanford Pines who was better equipped to answer such a question. “Serious?” He tugged at the collar of his sweater as obscenely equilateral imagery flashed across the backs of his eyelids. “W-Well, I suppose it depends on what you define as serious.”
“I dunno, I guess it’s serious when you both agree it’s serious?” She frowned at the ceiling helplessly before slumping back over the arm of the couch. Her voice came out muffled. “I wouldn’t know. It’s not like I’ve ever been in a serious relationship.”
Tea in hand, Ford stepped more fully into the room, looking about as comfortable as he’d been at his first college party (he’d been dragged there against his will, obviously). Come on, Ford. A few sage words from her great uncle. That’s all she’s asking for. A few times, he opened his mouth to say something and then snapped it shut. Luckily, conversations with Mabel did not require much input from the second party.
“I mean, Dipper is dating Pacifica! For a whole year now! I can’t believe he beat me! How does that even happen?”
Ford chuckled a little to himself, remembering high school, when Stan had teased him for having a girlfriend before Ford did. “Well, Mabel, it’s nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone goes at their own pace.”
“Urgh! But I want a boyfriend now! I don’t wanna waaaaaait.” She kicked her feet in agitation. “Is it so much to ask? To have someone in my life who makes me feel special?”
Ford knit his brows and seated himself at the nearby table, setting his mug down. “I understand your frustration, but, Mabel, I…” The man rested his head on his hand for a few moments, contemplating how best to put it. “I fear you’re looking at this all the wrong way.”
She peered up at him, leery. “What do you mean?”
He stirred the metal spoon in his tea, lazily winding it around the ceramic rim. “If all you’re looking for is someone to make you feel special… I worry you might end up with someone who doesn’t have your best interests at heart.”
“Oh, Grunkle Ford, I’ll be fine.”
He had started talking before she even finished her last word. “I’m serious. You have to be careful who you give yourself to. You become so desperate not to feel alone that you-you rush into things blindly, without thinking, without stopping to consider the ulterior motives your partner might have, and before you know it—”
“Hey! I don’t do any of those things,” Mabel protested, even though she very much did do all of those things in that exact order, and also even though Ford had not been talking about her.
“My- My point is,” he went on, taking a steadying breath, “you shouldn’t settle for less. One way or another, you’ll find special people to be in your life. I know it’s not quite what you’re looking for, but you’ve already got a wonderful brother.”
Mabel flopped onto her back and stretched the skin beneath her eye in distress. “But what if he marries Pacifica and I barely see him anymore? I’ll have nobody!”
“Dipper cares for you very deeply, Mabel. I doubt the two of you will ever drift apart.”
“Mmmmm,” Mabel groaned.
“But let’s say hypothetically you did,” Ford proposed. “You’d still have me and Stanley. You’d have your friends, your parents. Waddles, of course. And any number of new friends that you’re going to make in the coming years. I of all people can’t guarantee that relationships won’t fall to pieces. What I do know is that there’s always someone waiting for you on the other side, if you’re willing to let them in.”
“Aww… I guess that is kind of sweet.” She finally rearranged herself so that she was sitting normally. “Say, Grunkle Ford, you never told me about your first serious relationship.”
“I- Oh, you don’t want to hear about that.”
“Yes I do! Come ooooon, I’m so bored! Storytime! Storytime!”
“W- I- Um.”
“Wait.” Mabel narrowed her eyes. “You’re getting all weird the way Dipper does when he has something embarrassing to hide!”
“Mabel, don’t be ridiculous. It’s just not that interesting.”
“What’s not that interesting?” asked a gruff voice from the next room over. A few seconds later, its owner popped in carrying what looked to be groceries in his arm, mostly snacks, fruits and drinks.
“Grunkle Stan! We were just talking about Grunkle Ford’s love life.” She clasped her hands together and batted her lashes.
“What?” Stan raised his brows as he set down his paper bag on the table. “You told her about Bill?”
Ford got up from his chair fully with the intent to commit fratricide.
“WHAT!” Mabel exploded. “GRUNKLE FORD?!” She glommed onto his leg and anchored him to the ground before he could give chase. Stan wisely moved over to the fridge to look for a few beers. “WHAAAAAT?!”
Ford tried to drag her along. “Mabel! Aren’t you getting a little old to be doing this?”
“No!” She looked up at him with wide, sparkling eyes. “Now tell me everything! Everything! EVERYTHING!” She shook his leg with violence.
Stan popped a couple of bottle caps and extended one of the bottles towards his brother in gesture. “Sixer, if I come over there to give you this, you gotta promise not to try to wring my neck.”
“I can make no such promise, Stanley.”
“Okaaaay then.” Stan, ever the innovator, set the drink on the table instead and slid it over to Ford, who caught it before it could slide off the edge. He eyed it for a moment and then took a few long gulps.
“Mabel,” he sighed, glancing down to find that she was still staring up at him with puppy-dog eyes. “There’s not much to tell! He manipulated me and lied to me and then we blasted him out of Stan’s brain. The end.”
“No, no, no!” Mabel cried. “Tell me when you first realized you were falling in love with him!”
“F- Falling in—” Ford cleared his throat.
The truth was, he’d been “in love” with Bill, in a sense, from that very first moment. But that all made it sound so much more… romantic than it was. It was difficult to explain exactly what he had felt. It was intense, and it was an attraction, and at one point he might’ve thought it was love, but… “I… didn’t,” he finished lamely, as if he were just now realizing it himself.
“Come on, Grunkle Ford, the cat’s out of the bag now! You can’t lie to me anymore!”
“No, I… I really didn’t,” he went on, looking down at his empty hand. “We had a connection. A deep and intimate connection to one another. But I… I don’t think it was anything like what you’re imagining, Mabel.”
“Huh?” she blinked a few times. Even Stan seemed confused as he leaned back against the fridge.
“Hang on a second. Back on the boat you told me you were romantically involved. Those were your exact words.”
“Well, we… were?” Ford himself sounded perplexed, as though he were working out a Rubik’s Cube in real time. Of course, if this were a Rubik’s Cube he would’ve figured it out a lot faster. “At least, that’s what the understanding was at the time…”
“Uh… okay, you lost me.”
“I’m sorry. I can’t really explain it.”
“I think I get it,” Mabel said thoughtfully, and the two grunkles turned to look at her. “You thought you were in love, so you got into a relationship, but you weren’t really in love. But you still loved him. Just not in a lovey-dovey way.”
“I, uh… Well, yes… I think so,” Ford affirmed.
“Yeah, I get it. I think I did that with this guy in freshman year. We really connected, you know! But I realized I wasn’t… in love…” she finished softly, as though she were now the one deep in thought. She snapped out of it with a shrug. “Womp womp.”
“Well, there you have it,” said Stan after taking a particularly long swig. “Hey, Sixer, now all you gotta do is tell Dipper and you’ll be three for three.”
“Stanley, don’t even joke about that. I’m absolutely done talking about this.”
“Awww,” said Mabel, who had really been looking forward to squealing to her twin about it. “Double womp womp.”
“Now will you please detach from my leg?”
“Nope! We’re bonding, baby! Learning each other’s backstories and stuff! Mabel-Ford bonding time!” She threw up her hands like she was on a roller coaster, although her legs stayed wrapped around his ankle. “Woohoo!”

Through The Poral: Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Series Masterlist
Chapter Summary: A mystery girl comes through the portal with Ford. Little did anyone know she has a bigger connection to the brothers than anyone thought.
Warnings: Angst, fluff, age gap, flash backs, mentions of hopelessness, age gap (reader looks 21)
Pairing(s): Stan x platonic!reader, Ford x platonic!reader
A/N: Retelling of a Tale of Two Stans. The events and ideas are based on a theory I have about the Nightmare Realm. This is in no way canonically true, just my theories based on what we canonically know about the Nightmare Realm.
40 long years of waiting. Waiting and wondering whether the time would come if I would ever be able to go home again. 40 years of hiding in plain sight from the one they call Bill Cipher, a dream demon who reigns over the nightmare realm, the place I have resided in for 40 years. Unaged and unchanged physically, but mentally I feel like I’ve lived for centuries.
When I first arrived in the nightmare realm, I had found refuge with a group of asteroid miners. I wasn't sure how much time had truly passed when an unknown man joined us, Stanford Pines. He told us stories of how he managed to get there as escapes Bill's grasp.
That was a long time ago. It seemed longer than what it actually was. Stanford had gone off and managed to hop between dimensions, and here we're I standing at the ready to take down Bill for good, his quantum destabilizer complete and in hand.
“We have one shot at this.” Stanford whispered to me.
I nodded in agreement, but as we went to strike, a rift opened up in front of us. Stanford, knowing the stakes of this mission knew that either we walked through, or Bill would and wreak havoc upon our home dimension, so with a heavy heart we walked through entering back into our home dimension.
It felt surreal. After being gone for so long, I was finally back home. Yet, where I stood was not familiar to me. I recognised nothing. A dark space that was placed, I assumed, underground. I could hear the whirring of the machine as it fizzled and died. Home, a place I'd long forgotten, yet this place felt nothing like that. I felt like I was an imposter entering a realm I did not belong in.
Stanford and I stood silent. Taking in our surroundings. Unmoved by anything the people standing in the room were saying or doing. That was, till a man in a fez spoke up amongst the group.
“Finally, after all these years long years of waiting, you're actually here! Brother!” The man opened his arms, a goofy grin spread across his face.
Then Stanford punched him square in the face before speaking, “this was an insanely risky move, restarting the portal. Didn't you read my warnings!?”
Never had I seen Stanford so angry. Usually he was calm and collected. Even still, he may have lashed out, but he wasn't yelling, he was calmly speaking down to this man that claimed to be his brother.
“Wranings, schmarnings. How's about maybe a thanks for saving you from what appears to be some sci-fi sideburn dimension.”
“Thank you? You think I'm going to thank you after what you did 30 years ago!?” Stanford raised his voice for the first time since I met him. He always was soft spoken, and kind. Never have I heard someone draw such anger out of him. Not even Bill himself.
Something didn't seem right. The physical confrontation, the yelling. It all screamed something more beyond the surface of what I knew.
Stanford had pinned his brother to the ground after dodging his punches. That's when I noticed the three of us weren't alone. There were three others that joined us in the dark, dingy underground.
“Hey, hi, Mabel here. Quick question, what the heck is going on here?” A girl in a pink hand knitted sweater spoke up.
“Stan, you didn't tell me there were children down here. And some sort of large, hairless gopher.” Stanford quickly gained his composure as he looked between the three people we didn't even notice. The larger man chuckled at Stanford's comment, seeking unphased. I took quick note of this.
“They're your family poindexter. Shermie's grandkids.” Stanford's brother, or Stan as he supposedly goes by, gestured to the two young kids, I'm guessing, were twins.
“I-I have a niece, a nephew?” Stanford's voice turned to one of fondness before he knelt down in front of the girl, Mabel, reaching out to shake her hand, “greetings. Do kids still say greetings? I haven't been in this dimension for a really long time.”
“Woah, a six fingered hand shake, that's one finger friendlier than usual.” Mabel beamed.
Mabel's twin brother, who had been absolutely silent up until now, finally spoke up, “I-I can believe it. You're the author of the journals.” The boy then began to hyperventilate and almost threw up.
This whole thing felt like a lucid dream. I let Stanford get used to the new information he had received. I, on the other hand, had nothing to take in. I again, was lost in the world of unknowns. Maybe I no longer had a home to look for anymore.
“There'll be time for introductions later. But first, tell me Stan, are there any security breaches? Does anyone else know about this portal?”
“No. Just us. Also, maybe the entire US Government.”
“The what!?” Stanford's face was fuming. I never saw him so angry.
They all looked through the window where the security footage showed the government outside searching for Stanford’s brother and the two young kids. Everything was so chaotic right now, which I hoped wouldn’t be the case when we entered our home dimension. I guess chaos followed us wherever we went.
“Okay, it’s alright. We’ve got a while before they find this room. We just need to lay low and think of a plan.” Stanford stated, the calmness returned to his voice as he pulled out the journal he had picked up off the floor, and began to write in it.
“It looks like we’re going to be stuck down here for a while. Who wants to tell us their entire mysterious back story, and also, who is she?” Mabel stated, finally pointing in my direction.
“This is Y/n. She is a friend I met on my travels. Yes, though, I have some questions about all of this myself, Stanley.” Stanford finally introduced me.
Stanley? I had not heard a name like that in 40 years…a name so familiar to me yet so foreign all at the same time. An old friend from home. A friend I left behind all those years ago. There was no way this was the same Stanley. Right?”
“Stanley?” Mabel’s brother asked.
“But your name is Stanford.” Mabel pointed out.
Stanford’s face and mine said it all. What the hell was happening here? What had happened in the time Stanford was gone? Why had his brother assumed his identity? I hoped we both got the answers we needed.
“Wait, you took my name? What have you been doing all these years you knucklehead?” Stanford turned angry again.
Whatever happened between Stanford and his brother, it still hit a nerve with him. Something about Stanley made Stanford’s normal demeanor turn angry. A side I never thought he had. He was cunning for sure, but downright hateful was not on the list of traits I had listed for Stanford.
“”Okay, okay, okay. I know I have a lot of explaining to do. It all started a lifetime ago…” Stanley began telling his version of his life growing up with Stanford to everyone.
As he spoke, things started to piece together slowly in my mind. There was a reason Stanford and I were brought together. The more they spoke the more I connected my life to the eldest Pines twins. I reached into my pocket, there I kept a picture of my dear friend that I left behind. The one person I wanted to get back to the most. Stanley Pine.
“The old me was dead, and I faked a car crash to prove it. By day, I was Stanford Pines, mr. Mystery. But by night, I was down in the basement trying to bring the real Stanford back. I couldn’t risk anyone learning the truth and sabotaging my mission. So, I lied to everyone. The town, my family, your parents. Even you, kids.” Stanley finished his story.
Everyone was so enthralled in the story that the brothers were telling, we all forgot about the government agents upstairs. Dipper, I learned was the name of Mabel’s brother, had a device in his bag that could erase people’s memories. Stanford hooked it up and changed the frequency to sync to radio headsets.
We all plugged our ears as Stanford set the device off. Soon enough the agents were dazed and confused about where they were and what was going on. Stanford greeted them and sent them away, pretending to be a government official.
“Nice work Stanford.” I smiled as I walked up to him.
He smiled and placed a hand on my shoulder, “thank you, Y/n. How are you holding up?”
“I’ve been better. It’ll take some time to adjust, but I feel like I know you better than I did before, and your brother as well.”
“It’ll take us both some time to adjust, but I promise, as soon as we get settled in, and things quiet down, I’ll get you back home where you belong.”
I shake my head, “no. You and I are a team. I’m not leaving your side. Plus,” I pull out the picture of Stanley, “I think my home is here now.”
Stanford took the picture from me, “i-is this?”
I nod, “I didn’t recognize him at first. He’s older now, and with that fez, I couldn’t see his hair, I always said that was his most defining feature.” I laughed softly.
Stanford smiled softly, “I think you should get some rest. You and Stan can discuss this in the morning. I know of a room you can stay in, if it’s still there that is.”
I nod as Stanford leads me inside and to the room that he said used to be his. It consisted of just a couch and wasn’t much, but it was a place to rest my head at night, and probably more comfortable than a cold gravel ground.
I was settling in as I heard the brothers talking. Stanford said that at the end of the summer he was to give him his house back, his name back, and the Mystery Shack business was over with. I could hear the pain in Stan’s voice, and I felt sorry for him, but after what he told us today, I didn’t blame Stanford for being the way he was. Stan hurt him badly, and I didn’t blame Stanford for holding it against his brother
I was finally settled in when Stan knocked on the door. I sat up and invited him in. He had a few more blankets in his hand that he was ready to offer up.
“Y-you settling in okay?” He asked softly.
I nodded and smiled, “as good as one can. It’s been so long since I laid on anything other than the ground in years.”
“Ford tells me you’re originally from this dimension too?”
I nod, “yeah, I’ve been away for I think 40 years…the world definitely seems different now than it did in the 70s.”
“Th-the 70s?”
“Yeah, I know, kind of a while to be away from home. No trace left of me. Nothing left except my failed experiment.”
“Y-you didn’t happen to grow up in New Jersey too, did you?”
“I actually did…” I hesitate whether I should tell him I’m exactly who he thinks I am, but I also didn’t want to assume that’s where he was going, and overwhelm his mind.
Stan just nods and goes to leave. Before he does, he says one final thing, “how is it you haven’t aged a single day, toots?” With that he walked away, closing the door behind him.

Story Summary: What would happen if the Crystal Gems had settled down in a place other than Beach City, a little backwoods town just west of weird…? What if, upon coming to Gravity Falls for the summer, Dipper and Mabel were to befriend Steven and Connie? What kind of magical, mysterious adventures would they have? And, how would they fare against the combined threats of merciless Homeworld Gems and a certain triangular demon?
Find out what happens when Magic and Mystery meet in Universe Falls...
Chapter Summary: Mabel, Dipper, and Steven contend with Gravity Falls' beloved phsycic, Lil' Gideon, who may not be as "charming" as he seems… Steven hummed to himself as he tuned his ukulele. It didn’t take him long to get it just right, and once he did, he launched into strumming a cheery tune off the top of his head. On the floor beside him, Dipper and Mabel tuned out the dull round of commercials playing on TV in favor of listening to the much more pleasant melody filling the shack’s den. It was a relaxing way to spend the afternoon, especially after their hectic search for the Light Cannons the previous day. As soon as Steven brought his song to an end, Mabel was the first to launch into bright applause over such an impressive performance.  “Wow, Steven! That was great! Where’d you learn how to play so good anyway?” “Well, my dad taught me the basics when I was little,” Steven explained as he continued plucking notes. “But I taught myself a lot of the songs I know. It’s really not that hard once you get the hang of it.” “It’s not, huh…?” Mabel mused as an idea struck her. “You know, I’ve always wanted to learn how to play something. Maybe you could teach me how to play the ukulele, Steven!” Steven gasped, more than ready to accept, before Dipper spoke up in his stead. “Wait, Mabel, you mean you’re actually going to commit to learning how to play an instrument?” he asked, smirking. “Like you did when you tried to learn to play the violin? Or the oboe? Or the xylophone?” “Oh, ha ha , Dipper,” Mabel chucked one of the balls of yarn she was knitting with at him. “We can’t all instantly ‘master’ the sousaphone, like some people…”

OUGH DAMIEN/MABEL??? that's so good oh my god. hes like this is some normal annoying teenage girl and then shes like do u want to see pictures of my pet waddles :) and its her with massive adult pig in matching hand knit sweaters. at some point she pulls out a grappling hook to get to the front of a line. she just keeps pulling totally baffling antics and hes unprepared and off guard. WAIT WHAT IF PACIFICA INTRODUCES THEM.
and then!
and then That Happens.
And maybe dipper says a few more things and he starts putting it together like okay Mabel was maybe kidnapped?? and she and dipper killed whoever did it? thats. fine probably. maybe bruce would be weird about it but that seems acceptable to damien. weird felon uncle maybe helped hide the body? likely.
and then he starts having Feelings about it
Honestly I like the idea of 'Damian has a crush and has no idea how the fuck to handle it assassin training did NOT prepare him for this.'

- Maybe
‘we both got kicked out of our rooms because our roommates are having sex so now we’re standing in the hallway avoiding each other’ AU Have a random and quickly written thing.
'What are you doing?'
Mabel raised her head from her position on the floor, currently seated in a cold dormitory hallway with her back against the wall and legs spread out across the floor. It wasn't like she was blocking the way or anything though - people could easily step over.
In her hands she had a ball of sparkly red yarn and two knitting needles. She smiled up at the stranger, holding up a partially finished sweater. 'Knitting! Also, hi!'
The young man frowned at her energetic response, no doubt wondering how she was so upbeat this late at night.
'Alright, but why in the middle of the corridor? And at midnight?'
'Ooh, well that's a long a story that starts with me, my roomate and this guy we met in a bar three weeks ago-'
'Bye.' He began to walk off and Mabel leaned forward.
'Wait, wait! Fine, I'll give the short version!!' It was nice having someone to talk to after being out here alone so far, she didn't want him to leave. She blew air out between her lips before sighing as the guy regarded her neutrally. 'My roomate's, how should I say this?' She paused, clasping her hands together in front of her as she considered for a moment. 'She's.... enjoying some adult naptime with her friend.'
An arched eyebrow. 'You mean they're bumpin' uglies?'
She flushed. 'Um.... yeah.'
The guy snorted, leaning against the wall opposite as he folded his arms with a wry grin. 'Ditto. My roommate likes to slime the banana with his girlfriend often.'
Mabel made a face. 'Gross, gross, gross! Do you have to phrase it like that?'
'I'm sorry, I wasn't aware I was speakin' to a grandma.' His gaze dropped down to the stuff in her lap. 'Though I guess the crochet kit should have been a guess.'
'This is knitting, not crochet. There's a difference!' Mabel huffed before forcing herself to calm down. Cm'on Mabel, be the bigger person. Maybe this was guy was just having a bad day and that's why he was being an ass - he'd been kicked out of his room too, after all. Let's try this again. 'I haven't seen you around before, who are you?'
'That's cuz I spend most of my time in the science lab,' he quipped back. 'And it's Bill.'
Mabel set her knitting stuff aside and pushed herself to her feet, smiling brightly as she offered a hand. 'Nice to meet you Bill, I'm Mabel.'
The fellow student eyed her hand warily. Mabel wiggled her fingers enticingly as she grinned. 'It's okay, I don't bite. Promise.'
He seemed reluctant but eventually took her hand, giving it a brief shake. 'Do you often find yourself kicked out at night?'
'Nope! Tonight's the first time so I don't mind. I was happy to stay in the bathroom whilst they went at it but apparently I was being distracting so they kicked me out.'
'Distracting, how?'
'Well, I was just making a few sound effects to lighten the mood y'know? And then I was shouting encouraging words at the guy 'cuz it seemed he was doing a real good job from what I could hear.'
'That's god damn hilarious,' Bill said, cackling. 'Can you come do that to my roommie? He'd love it!'
Mabel cocked her head. His words were nice but why did she feel like he was being sarcastic?
As he recovered, Bill flashed her a boyish smile that made her heart skip a beat. Oh, he actually looked quite handsome when he wasn't pulling a face. She hadn't been granted the chance to notice until now.
'Mabel, was it? I'll see ya around.' He turned and began walking away and the brunette stared after him.
'Wait!'
She rummaged in her pockets as he paused to turn back. Procuring a pink gel pen she chased after him, grabbing his arm and scribbling.
'....What are ya doin?'
She pulled back and flashed him a smile, capping her pen. 'Leaving my number.' Wink.
He stared.
She grinned back.
'Do you give your number to every guy you meet?' he asked pointedly.
'No!' Well, not anymore. A few years ago when she'd been boy-crazy she more or less had. This was the first time in five weeks she'd handed it out - that must be some kind of record!
'Hm. Well, I'll call ya if I need your services with Pine Tree.'
'Who?'
'My roommate,' he clarified as he swivelled around and continued walking away again.
'Oh. Well, yeah... that or, um, any other service!'
He stopped.
'Ah wait, oops, not like that!' she yelled, face turning red as she abruptly realised how that sounded and shook her hands in front of her frantically. 'I mean just like... a date or coffee or something. Ha ha.'
Bill glanced over his shoulder, blue eyes meeting hers in a scrutinising manner. She laughed nervously, rubbing the back of her head. Smooth Mabel, real smooth.
But then he surprised her with his response:
'Maybe,' he muttered before walking away once and for all. Mabel remained standing in the corridor alone, chest fluttering.
Maybe, huh?
Maybe was good. Maybe was promising. She could definitely work with "maybe"!
Ooh, she should tell Dipper about this! He'd been acting so crabby lately over his "new asshole roommate", maybe he'd feel better if she shared the good news about having a new crush.
(Probably not. Knowing Dipper he wouldn't care but hey she was using the lame excuse in her mind to boast to him about it anyway. Suck it.)

billtober fic day 1: bill statue
Ford stood next to the statue, his face as stoic as the granite in front of him. Despite his outward demeanor, he barely held himself together, his hands clenched to keep them shaking and his heart thundering in his chest, resonating throughout his body.
“Well, Cipher.” He cleared his throat. “Nobody really won this time, hm? A stalemate, you would have called it. Back when just the two of us played chess and drank tea.” Closing his eyes and leaning his head back, he let out a long-suffering  sigh, followed by a humorless, pained chuckle, although which did little to alleviate the weight upon his shoulders. Stanley had been showing little progress with restoring his memory after the first week. Ford knew this sort of thing should take time, but the guilt still threatened to drown him. At this point, three of the most important people in his life had been hurt by the memory gun - Fiddleford, Stan, and Bill.
He blinked away the physical manifestation of emotions blurring the corner of his eyes, refusing to give anyone the satisfaction of eliciting a reaction from him - be that the universe, Bill Cipher, or his own brain. Damn it all, he cursed, at the same almost time wishing he had the ability to go back in time, without the consequences. Leaning against the rough bark of a tree, he sank to the damp ground and closed his eyes.
His Muse laughed, and Ford blushed, wanting to both sit up straighter and slink into his chair.
“What? Is my Muse uncomfortable with a little show of affection?” He inquired, attempting to tease the being.
“Oh Fordsy! If anything, you’re the one who’s embarrassed,” He bantered, matching Ford on his level and making eye contact. The flush across the human’s face deepened, and he turned his face, trying to hide his crimson cheeks. By the time he shifted his attention back, his Muse had changed form.
In place of his usual triangle frame stood a tall man with copper-brown skin and golden hair, his face all sharp angles, comforting yet uncanny to Ford, like a porcelain doll crafted to be as human-like as possible. He smirked, flicking Ford’s nose.
“Great Uncle Ford? Great Uncle Ford? HelloooooooO?” Ford blinked in confusion, the words coming out of his Muse’s mouth not matching the way his mouth moved.
“P- Pardon?” Confusion overtook his tone. He blinked once more, and when he opened his eyes again, in place of Bill’s human form stood a statue of his Muse, all alone in the forest.
“DO YOU REGRET IT? I SUSPECT YOU DO,” His voice shook the Mindscape, cutting out as the question repeated. Ford screamed, falling, until someone shook him
awake.
“Great Uncle Ford! What happened? Was it Bill? Didn’ we defeat him? Did he hurt you? You didn’t make a deal with him, right?” The sweaty preteen had started pacing, chewing on (another) pen. He always carried at least one with him.
“Bro-bro, I love you, but I thiiink Grunkle Ford just woke up. Let him breathe,” Mabel replied. “Also, you’re running low on pens. And shirts that don’t have pen stains on them. Maybe you need a new fidget! Like knitting!” As she continued with her ramble, Ford willed his breaths to even and his heartbeat to slow.
“Anyways, Grunkle Ford! We came to get you because Grunkle Stan is remembering more things!!” Mabel finished her babble, and Ford nearly jumped up. His joints protested, and he nearly fell onto the tree, going lightheaded. The kids caught him, concern etched across their faces.
“Great Uncle Ford, are you ok?” His hands even sweatier than normal, a sheen making them glisten..
“Yes, Dipper. Everything is… fine.” He gave his niece and nephew a weak smile. “I’m merely burying the past.” He pivoted, his coat swirling as much as his mind as he turned away from his past, and moved on.

An Apartment of Our Own
My contribution to the genre of fics exploring the in-universe OMITB fandom, Theobel style. Any similarities to any actual Tumblr blogs or fanfics is purely coincidental, and of course, this is all in good fun. (In order to recreate Mabel's style of speaking and signing at the same time, as in the show, the signed parts of her dialogue are underlined. Because Tumblr doesn't allow for underlining, this fic will continue on AO3 here or below in the place I found it silliest and most fun.)
They never hid their friendship.
Sure, Mabel gave it a good six weeks before she casually let it slip to the guys that her and Theo hang out. Just so she could come up with a few solid rebuttals if they gave her pushback. (‘Charles, you dated a serial killer.’ ‘Theo’s actually pretty fun to be around.’ 'According to greater society, we shouldn't be friends either.' 'I don't let old men tell me what to do.')
(Okay, they were about as solid as Oliver’s dips.)
(When the conversation came, Oliver was weirdly supportive about it. Charles looked exactly how he did when she first mentioned dating Alice.)
And yeah, she gave it an additional few months before she mentioned it to her mom. The distance gave her time and she wanted extra confidence the good feeling she and Theo had around each other wasn't a haze that would soon lift. She wanted the shitty phone call to be worth it. And it was. He was worth it.
But they never hid it. Not really. Not in public. If, last autumn, a fan of the pod posted a blurry five second video of two people who might possibly, maybe, be them using ASL in the winding path of the basement of an antique shop in midtown, well, she didn’t let it concern her.
Superfans aside, as the months dragged on without her involvement in another stabbing incident and/or murder, not many people cared about Bloody Mabel. Equally, she cared less and less about strangers' opinions.
Then Ben Glenroy died twice.
It wasn't like with Bunny; Mabel wasn't so unbearably close to the story. Still, the internet talks, and Theo got a writing credit for that season 3 teaser trailer he wrote. Questions were raised they still hasn't answered.
“Have you seen this?” Theo holds up his phone, shakes it slightly. His lips twitch, amused... or nervous?
Mabel sets her knitting aside, leans forward on the couch, and recognizes the website.
And the blog.
She furrows her brow, and takes his phone.
The Tumblr is onlyarconicsinthebulldogging, and they've reblogged from frogfuckergirl555. She has no idea who frogfuckergirl555 is, or if they're a frequent poster. For the briefest second, she feels almost proud of herself for that.
The post is a simple sentence, followed by a link.
Idk what this is but they’re kinda cute together??? especially if the rumors are true???
There's an emoji sequence in the tags that only grows Mabel's wariness: 😭😭😭👌🏻👌🏻🔥🔥🔥
She gives Theo another long, long look.
He doesn’t blush, exactly. He squirms in his chair like he regrets bringing knowledge of this— what she swiftly imagines with a level of visual accuracy only possible through prolonged proximity— onto himself.
“Open— read it!” he signs quick and jerky, like Mabel wouldn’t understand at all without context. "Please," he adds, and crosses his legs.
The suspense might be killing him. She, however, could live very happily not knowing the details of what people imagine they get up to, what precisely those aforementioned rumors are. If she doesn’t do her research though, if she chooses to live in blissful ignorance, the universe will surely send Marv her way to clear it all up for her.
She clicks the link, opens up Archive of Our Own.

Maybe I'll finish this. Maybe I won't, especially considering that I have too many WIPs, including a Stanuary piece (and the month is already a week over wehhhh)
Still, I really like the concept and I wanna explore it some more!!
More details under cut!
The Fool
I think Mabel fits this one best considering that when upright, it's trying to tell you to not take life too seriously. Go out and touch grass have fun! Plus, the original included an animal companion so obviously, Waddles needed to be there!
The World
Supposed to have the same meaning no matter which side it's on, but you can decide that for every reading. Tarot is supposed to be read with your intuition! Anyways, I think the Axolotl fits it the most since it's essentially a god, more powerful than the Jhelsebraum (which is why she's not there. She's just a badass oracle)
The Magician
That one was tricky. I was going to use Fidds but the meaning of the card threw me off, so I decided to go for Stanley instead. All the elements need to be in the card so I think they'll be in the background in this case. He is using them, but not directly in this case. I think it'll work for both meanings!
The High Priestess
NOW I can use Jhelsebraum!! Hehehehe! Not much to say except it fits!
The Empress
I didn't wanna use Mabel again so soon but no other character fits it as well as her! She's nurturing, she's generous, she can be smothering at times. It just fits!! It did mention fertility which was pretty funny, but she already has her baby Waddles! (I so badly wanted her to wear the Huggy Wuvvy Tubby Bundle but it felt too on the nose. Plus, it's hard to draw that while also having her knit, which is not something I wanna comprimise on!)
The Emperor
Hehe cinematic parallels, let's goooo!! The card is all about fatherhood, being strict, and conservative with items. When reversed, it's saying you're being too reckless, or something like that. But it fits Stan! Especially as a boss. Plus, I love having him using the remote as a scepter. As for the orb, which represents the kingdom, I couldn't think of anything. So I went with a soda can. ...I mean, it could represent the fruits of his land which is his fridge soooooo????
The Hierophant
Oh this one was a little tricky, especially since when upright, the card is telling you to embrace tradition. Which is pretty weird for Ford. So I decided to callback a scene where he's passing on knowledge and methods to the kids. Since that's how tradition starts and why it keeps going. Plus, when reversed, it tells you to break tradition. So I think it works both ways!

Ngl I was kinda asking what your thoughts were on the au in a sleep deprived frenzy but I do have my own thoughts so here they are. sorry for confusion lol
I like the idea I wrote into the fic that Mabel knit a sweater with a design that can be felt for Ford. like knitting buttons into it and using raised stitches, stuff like that. I haven't yet had him wear it but I swear I'll figure out when to make him put it on.
Just... I was thinking of adding a scene in the near future where Dipper or Mabel or even both maybe begin to feel sad that Ford can't see them and doesn't know what they look like, but Ford hugging them and letting them know that he loves them regardless of his blindness, that he cares about them as who they are and not what they look like. potentially maybe just playfully describing them by what he can feel, like Mabel's sweater or Dipper's hat. just... bonding stuff.
And then... angsty stuff like Ford being taunted by Bill with the triangle using his blindness against him in cruel ways. once Weirdmageddon happens, I keep thinking about Bill torturing him by making his attacks complete surprises and leaving Ford without his assistive devices in the fearmid so he's scared and lost. just aaaaaaarggghh....
but anyway, three thoughts for you I guess lol. hope you like and I'm still wondering about what you think about the au haha.
oh my god I misunderstood you I misunderstood you I missed understood you I am going to exil tumblr and never return I’m so ashamed if someone did that to me I won’t be able to live this down there are so many things I won’t be able to live down ohhhhhhhhhh myyyyyyyyyyggggooooooooOODDDDDD—
THOUGHTS?!?!? ourgh ourgh orugh I love reading bullet points….hmmmmmmm here’s a few of mine, I think.
- ford’s relationship with braille. he must know it, right? unless you came up with another way to do that but I think he’d like to read in braille regardless. I imagine that he’d hoard books like that because he came across it so little in the multiverse that when he’d find it it was a treasure to behold. bro hoards knowledge
- the photooooo ik you’ve definitely talked about this but he’d keep it. despite how long it’s been he can still remember what it looks like. can feel the rough edges. the thing that’s bad about it is that he doesn’t know if the image is still there or fucked up or faded or Whatever, because of course he wouldn’t be able to tell. he keeps faith that it is clear, though, and when stan or someone else tells him that the photo is indeed in its pristine condition, he really appreciates it. like a lot. gives him stability to the fact that at least Something didn’t change.
- his clothes. it doesn’t matter what colors someone gives him as long as they feel the same, but yes he’d definitely appreciate a sweater he could feel. before that option was offered up to him, tho, he was chill without knowing. mabel could knit any color or pattern sweater and he wouldn’t give a shit because at least it’s a sweater. like she could put ‘world’s worst uncle’ and HE’D STILL WEAR IT PROUDLY. no shits given he actually doesn’t want anyone telling him what they look like he’d rather live in bliss thanks <3
- ford identifying people by things he’s felt….oh that. that. can’t even say anything
- ford wouldn’t have ever seen what old stan looks like. he has a deathly similar voice tho, so he can’t help but imagine stan as a younger version of himself. this helps to both assist and worsen certain situations.
- ik atla wasn’t around during his time but I’d think he’d try and learn to see Toph-Style, keyword being TRY. he of course isn’t successful, but does learn the valuable lesson of touching things to find their shapes, like rocks. he’s gotta learn how to just brave it and Touch
- and during weirdmageddon, one thing I could see bill doing is sort of returning ford’s sight sometimes? just like, little frames here or there? taunting him? making him see terrible things, what bill is doing to him and the town, and Other Things? just. returning the ability only to use it in the worst fucking possible. how the last thing ford will technically see in his life is bill, in the physical plane, hurting his family. just taking away precious things you didn’t even know you ahem y’know?
so. There’s that! not much. idk if this conflicts with any canon u got or smth of it’s what off the top of my head :) Ty for the rambling!!!!

If the mystery kids got wand what would they be ps they can also be things like a flower a pen or a quill aslong as they are straight like a stick the wands also have to be something significant to their personality or story
Alright so, turns out that I did not answer this correctly the first time. Here's V2! Dipper: The best thing I can think for him is a pen. Unfortunately it does need to be repaired a lot due to his chewing habit. Mabel: Definitely still her knitting needles. She be making sweaters with a little ✨sparkle!✨ Coraline: Her water witch stick except it isn't poison oak this time. That would suck if it still was lol. Wybie: Maybe a wrench due to his bike? Norman: So Norman plays Baseball right? He can have a Baseball bat. Neil: Hockey stick! I know I really hyperfixate on that line from the movie but I just think it works. Raz: A rolled up True Psychic Tales comic book. Lili: I think a rose or firewheel flower works for her. Both are symbolizing similar things in this case. Wirt: He probably can't wave it around like a wand or a staff but his clarinet is straight. Next best idea is a pencil. Greg: Silver spool of thread For those of you who don't know, hear me out. Crayons. It is shown in several of the comics that Greg loves drawing and even is good at it. ("Soulful Symphonies" and "Sisters of Charity.") Luz: She's easy. She's got her String Bean staff! Anne: Hoping this counts. Her Tennis racket! Marcy: Her pen. She seems to always be taking notes so it makes sense that her wand would also be a pen. Sasha: Most certainly her swords. They're always on her.
In conclusion? A lot of these kids are nerds. (Affectionate)

well, you asked for this! but don't say I didn't warn you !
so assuming the twins were 12 in 2012, they are about 24 in this
I imagine that dipper has graduated (possibly even from the dream collage ford wanted to go to? and made him super proud) and is now back in gravity falls doing his own research and documenting it all on his "modern day journal" - aka laptop
mabel is a multi talent artist, I wanted to say she'll be doing fashion design because of the sweaters thing but I think that's underestimating her overall arts and crafts abilities, so she's probably doing a bit of everything (maybe even animation ? 👀) I just hope that she got her ADHD diagnosis and medication so she can focus her energy and not crumble out of wanting to do too much!! (like yours truly)
things that I gave both of them: I gave them glasses, to resemble stan and ford - mabel's round glasses are like ford's (kinda) and dipper square ones are like stan i specifically made sure to have the less common pairing, because the other way around is the more prevalent (+ i did give dipper ford's chin dimple) and I wanted them to have a bit of each grunkle !
I also gave them shooting star/pine tree necklaces, I just imagine they are hand made by mabel as a gift on one of their birthdays
individual design: first we have mabel, as I said in the original tags I gave her puffy messy hair as a child because I feel like she has curly hair and doesn't know how to take care of it, and honestly it gives her so much personality
but a part of why i gave her this hair is because I wanted older mabel to have short curly hair inspired by kristen schaal (her voice actor)! i did make the hair a bit longer than hers just so it'll look nicer with the colorful highlights!
generally, I think adult mabel probably dyes her hair all the time in every possible color, but to keep her recognizable I made the rainbow hair only as ombre to keep the original brown visible
for her outfit I just assumed mabel is going to decorate everything she possibly can, so like super colorful makeup, piercings, tattoos, stuff like that
I gave her a cardigan because it felt like an elegant evolution from sweaters (still hand made of course) and heels (/boots with heels?) because it felt like the natural progression from her doll shoes
her wardrobe is probably super colorful and diverse! I feel like as an adult she has a lot more tools for self expression through clothes, like sewing ! technically she did use a sewing machine on the show, but I just imagine that because she was young she wasn't really allowed to use it much / had a pretty bad kids focused version, which is why she focused on knitting because it's safe and easy for a 12yo but as an adult she has a proper sewing machine and can make more serious outfits! so everything she wears is either fully hand made or thrifted and patched up and decorated with a bunch of embroidered stuff
I also feel very strongly about her tattoos, i just feel like she would LOVE them!! she probably say something like "tattoos are just permanent stickers for your body!" not to mention she has 0 impulse control so she gets so many you can take a closer look at all the tattoos i drew her, but my favorite idea was ducktective, just because a lot of people are getting gravity falls tattoos for being their favorite childhood show so i feel like she'd do the same!
I have slightly less things to say about dipper's design, mainly because I don't think he cares that much for his appearance, but mainly for practicality
so, like every other adult dipper design, he still has wendy's hat (which is hopefully surviving all these years), and a flannel unsurprisingly, the flannel is supposed to represent alex hirsch and I imagine him being equally attached to the idea of wearing it and probably has a similar story to alex of "a girl told him it was cute so he never took it off"
I gave him a blue shirt to play on the young dipper colors, and it has a little stain because of course it does
I also imagine him also having curly hair like mabel, just that he doesn't even bother with washing/brushing his hair as much so the curls aren't getting all puffy so they are visible, but it is greasy adult dippers hair is also a bit long, just because it's fun and again, because he couldn't bother with a haircut
he also has a bit of facial hair, something a bit like young alex hirsch or jason ritter (his voice actor), mainly because he can't be bothered with shaving it off most of the time (and he feels a bit proud of being able to grow it) i didn't give him much in the drawing though, but that's just because it was hard + i liked the way his face look
and both him and his young self has cargo pants, mainly for the functionality of having as many pockets as possible I am also not against the possibility of older dipper's pants being detachable into shorts, for extra functionality
and that's all i thought about when making this !! I hope it's what you were hoping for
bonus detail if you read everything: if you look closely at dippers laptop, the pie chart is supposed to look like a pacman
ok pause from bill art time for some mystery twins art !! specifically, 12yo selves meeting their current day selves!

Chocolates or roses: I can offer wild flowers or maybe baked goods

Would you cook for me: Of course although I only know a few things.
Would you let me cook for you: You would? That sounds fun
Where would you take me out on a date: The Japari Cafe is always lively and maybe I could find tickets to an Idol group’s concert if there’s a special one that day
Who’s paying: I’ll pay of course
What did you get me for Valentine’s Day: Homemade baked goods

Mabel clasps her hands together in delight after she's done reading the application. She has sent them out to her friends for fun, but she wasn't expecting to get any back. Especially good ones like Kaban's.

"I'd love to be your Palentine! You know, Valentine for pals!" She practically squeals, not even trying to hide her enthusiasm. "This are all such great ideas! I really want to see the Japari Cafe and if you can get those tickets, it would be even more amazing! Or maybe I can find a concert in my world, if there aren't any in yours."
She always makes sure to keep tracks of all the events her favourite bands organise, after all. Besides, it would be a great chance to share with Kaban what she likes.
"And I'd be honoured to be your first human cuddling partner."
The sentence is spoken with perhaps too much solemnity, but coming from Mabel you can be absolutely certain that she means it with all her heart. And she's totally going to knit her friend a present herself.

"So, here's the plan!" She exclaims, looking like someone who has everything figured out. "We could have lunch at the Cafe, go to the concert, then cook dinner together and have a pic-nic around the campfire, so we can swap romantic stories! We have a whole day, so why choose just one thing when we can do them all?"
