one thing im very complexed about is what were baal and ayms rection to narinder after getting resurected. surely they would feel a lot of anger towards him because of what he did.
When Aym and Baal are revived they’re more concerned for Narinder than anything else. Like how can their master, their father go from agonizing for MONTHS over ways to spare the lamb, to in the span of a single week telling them he’s found a way but not elaborating, looking completely heartbroken the next few days after, then when the day of reckoning finally comes telling the lamb in this muted, emotionless tone to sacrifice themselves out of the blue? It didn’t make sense.
While Aym and Baal are 11 year old kids but they’re not stupid-they know this isn’t how their father usually acts, and something’s wrong. It's why they intentionally get hurt (and accidentally) die fighting Anthea, they're trying to snap him out of it since they didn't know what else to do since he didn't want to talk.
From there it takes 4 months to revive the twins-during that time their souls are trapped inside the gateway by the remains of Narinder's metaphysical chain. Not quite awake, but not quite asleep either-only able to tell they were alone until the voices of their parents wake them up before being yanked into the mortal realm. They’re scared, they’re shaken, they put brave faces on while dying yeah but they can feel the phantom of blade and mana caught in their flesh all over again, but their twin is beside them, and before they know it their Baba has them in their embrace wailing, yet their father is nowhere to be seen.
Cue them being seemingly ok-ish (read: in shock) while being fussed over by Anthea for the rest of the day (given warm meals, constant hugs and kisses to the head, warm bubbly baths then a long brushing, soft nightgowns that smell like lanolin, all while their comfort kitten plushies they'd given the lamb a day prior to the betrayal in preparation for the 'move' have been returned to their arms), and while they keep asking what happened, the Lamb doesn’t know how to answer them anymore. A month before they would've said Narinder betrayed them all, but they're no longer sure anymore.
(Narinder betrayed them. He betrayed them, but then why did he help them with the resurrection? Why did he stabilize them as they struggled to break the chain, why did he lose sleep the whole week leading up just to help? Following their every word, their every order perfectly, never getting upset when they got snappy? Why did he the leave the chapel without greeting the boys he mourned over. Why hasn't he tried to take back the crown since his arrival? Why isn’t he fighting them, angry, bitter, anything? Why is he making it so hard to hate and ignore him?)
Anthea eventually has to take the twins over to Narinder later that night since the nightmares are setting in now that the shock's worn off and they both wake up crying for him (they can’t remember the 4 months but that isolation left both with intense separation anxiety from both each other and their parents, and not having seen Narinder was really messing with them), and while that first reunion is them just launching themselves at him to cling to his nightshirt crying, followed by them then refusing to let Anthea leave either and thus both parents are stuck trying to get the boys to fall asleep in Narinder’s room, come morning they’ve calmed down enough that Anthea can leave to do cult things and they can question their father.
They just want to know what happened, and is he ok-he scared them by acting so strange and they're worried. Which kinda breaks Narinder a little because he left the chapel expecting that they hated him. That they wouldn’t want to see him since he betrayed Anthea, is the reason they died, and that their Baba deserved them more than him but here they are worried for him, and it’s the first time in months someone’s said they’re worried about him and he actually believes it. So he tells them everything.
He heard something he wasn't meant to hear, took it out of context, and in his fear over being betrayed again made a mistake. A mistake he thinks he can NEVER fix, and was a mistake he thinks he should NEVER be forgiven for.
(He didn't trust them. Why didn't he trust them? The Lamb was his friend why would they ever betray him he's terrible Shamura was right to 'hate' him why can't everyone just abandon him already he doesn't understand-)
He thinks that’ll do it, but rather than the twins getting mad, it just clears up what they had already assumed-that something went wrong, and their dad thought he had no choice. They're not angry because he made a mistake since why should they? That just means he has to apologize.
It's that childishly innocent idea that all mistakes can be fixed by talking things out, and while it's more complicated than that, it does hold weight. Aym and Baal are the breaking of the cycle of hiding your emotions, hiding your pain, assuming the worst and self-loathing and destroying yourself as a result. The cycle of not talking to the people in your life and just letting things boil over. Narinder may have held back in some ways when raising them by not telling them to call him ‘dad’, but he raised them as he wished he’d been-teaching the twins that it’s ok to be hurt, scared, to make mistakes, and that they can go to him for anything and he won’t get mad. Anthea’s presence reinforced that-that you gotta talk to people when something’s wrong or else they can’t help.
The boys are very empathetic and emotionally aware, and thus if they can make mistakes and fix things, why can’t the adults? So no they're not mad at Narinder, they just don't understand why he thinks it's not worth trying to make amends.
#breaking generational trauma and cycles babyyyyy#this is the miscommunication AU where people don't talk and if the children can figure out that's not good then maybe the adults can too#Anger and rage can be fun to write-but I kinda want to explore a kinder more people learning to heal side of things here#since anger isn't gonna fix this-it'll just continue the cycle and make things worse#cotl#cult of the lamb#cotl aym#cotl baal#crimson angel au#cult of the lamb narinder#ask#crimson angel au lore

Story request
Drifter and Eris' reaction to the recordings of Chioma Esi regarding the veil and Maya Sundaresh. They're listening to the whole "veil containment" in the destiny 2 story line. I want to see their rection regarding the relationship of Chioma and Maya and how it was destroyed because they discovered the veil and Maya's obsession with it.
Thank you so much for the story request! It was a blast to write, and I hope you love it! :))
"Chioma Esi, research log: the veil. She did it! Maya connected people to the veil. Our own scientist's. And they survived."
The recording of Chioma Esi's research log echoed throughout the room, bouncing off of the massive fish tanks teeming with life, and through the rows of plants which grew on the opposite wall, filling the silence of the large room within the H.E.L.M.
The Drifter leaned against a sturdy railing, the circular frame of the portal which led to Ahsa's quarters standing firm behind him as he absent-mindedly flipped a jade coin through the air, sending a high pitching ding! through the room every few seconds. Eris Morn stood opposite to the holoprojector between them, which the Drifter adjusted to have play the veil containment logs, her expression forlorn as she stared down at the small glowing screen.
"I should be happy, but… happy that all this horror wasn’t for nothing? But I’m not. I’m disgusted. In myself. In Maya. In all of us. This thing, the Veil. It’s… it’s some kind of web of consciousness. Just like the Vex network, but organic instead of artificial. It makes sense why the Vex want it. Paracausal simulations? There’d be no stopping them. I should be happy. To-to be a part of history, to solve a cosmic riddle. Happy for Maya; happy for all of us. But I’m not. I don’t feel anything. Maya is gone. The woman I knew… may as well have died when we landed on Neptune. But her ghost still haunts me… this place. I don’t know what to do. There’s a generation of children born here now. This is their home. [sighs] I don’t know what to do."
The recording clicked off. They still had four more messages to listen to, but instead of tapping the button that would continue them, Eris walked over to the circular glass tank that sat in the center of the room, stretching from the floor to the ceiling. She watched the strange fish as they leisurely swam about, unaware of the dangers that constantly surrounded all life.
The Drifter came up beside her a moment later.
"Somethin' on your mind?"
"As we have both ascertained, Maya Sundaresh was obsessive. Obsessive over the wish to gain knowledge." She watched a large frog hop through the water. "I have already heard these messages before, and I know how this ends. She could have been happy had she chosen to walk away from the veil. But she didn't... She is found dead sometime later, having allowed her obsession to drive her every thought and action, and in return it took her very life."
The Drifter watched her, remaining silent and listening.
"Some believe me to be obsessed with the Hive, Zavala has even called me such in the past." She turned toward the Drifter. "I wish for your thoughts on my tactics. Do I overpreocupy my time and energy on these vile creatures? Do you believe I stave myself my chances of happiness?" Her eyes locked on his, pleading for an answer. For his honesty. "You know how dire the outcome was for Dr. Sundaresh. She lost her life, refusing to be happy with what she had, with who she had... you know how important honesty is in this situation, and I urge you to be blatantly, even painfully honest if that is what is required." Eris watched him expectantly as he turned his face towards the glass, observing a school of little fish swim by, his eyes glazed over in deep thought.
Minutes went by like that, the only sound in the room being their soft breathing, the sounds of the rippling water, and the gentle hum of the portal behind them.
"Callin' you obsessed would be like callin' Zavala or Ikora obsessed with the Vanguard." He began, tapping his fingers along the flat surface in front of them. "All 'o you are real serious 'bout your work, you're work just happens to concern a crazy race of aliens that've killed hell of a lot of people. Now, maybe you're impassioned about the Hive, about your work... but obsessed? Nah." He turned to her. "The only thing that would be gettin' in the way of your chances of happiness is just you bein' too busy savin' the world. Heh."
"I would make time for you. I always have."
The Drifter smiled, arching an eyebrow. "I make you happy?"
"Do not pretend you did not already know that." Eris turned back to the fish.
"Heh..." The Drifter slid his hand along her arm. "But back to what we were talkin' about before. Chioma said Maya may as well of been dead when they got to Neptune... she lost herself. You ain't never done that, Moondust. You've never lost yourself, not even when you became a Hive god." He paused a moment before continuing. "Sundaresh had a chance to be happy... but in the end, she chose her work. You and her ain't the same... you're a hard worker, but you still choose to be happy, to focus on the people you got around you." He chuckled. "And in the end, that makes all the difference."
Eris watched the Drifter's expression in the reflection of the glass, noting the way he smiled warmly at her.
A few thoughtful minutes of silence passed before Eris finally spoke.
"Thank you." She smiled ever so slightly. "Your words have offered me comfort."
"Glad to hear it. You've always done the same for me." He reached out and grabbed her hand, squeezing it.
"Do you wish to continue our research?" Eris asked, watching a bioluminescent multi-colored fish swim past, it's long fins flapping behind it.
"Yeah, in a minute. I'd like to research somethin' else real quick," the Drifter replied.
Eris turned toward him. "Indeed? What?"
He smiled, reaching out with his free hand to touch her cheek, the dark tears flowing across his fingers. And in half a second, his face was to hers, his lips gingerly kissing her own.
"Heh! Just wanted to research what it was like to kiss a once Hive gods face." He replied when they pulled away, a triumphant smile across his lips.
He luaghed as Eris shook her head, failing to fight off her smile.
"You are insufferable. Come, we have more messages to listen to."
They returned to holoprojector and continued their work, hearts lighter with the comfort of one another's words.

Sirius leaned in and pressed his lips to Remus's. After a single heartbeat, Remus responded and Sirius felt like he'd pass out just from the relief.
He grabbed at Remus's hair, pulling him closer, determined to be as close as possible, terrified of letting Remus go, in case he lost him again. The last two years had easily been the loneliest of his life, and there was no way he was going back to that.
Yes, he'd had James, and to some extent, Lily. But neither of them had ever, truly been able to fill the void left by Remus Lupin. No one else had ever given him the sense of home, and comfort and belonging as Remus had when he'd wrapped Sirius in his arms and held him close. There was no way he was going to mess that up again.
Surging forward, Sirius poured every ounce of feeling into the kiss. He groaned as Remus's hands pressed against his chest, palms flattened against the hardening peaks of his nipples. Clearly as desperate to feel closer as Sirius was, Remus made quick work of slipping Sirius shirt over his head, barely breaking the kiss as he did so.
"I missed you," Remus panted against Sirius kiss swollen lips.
Sirius nodded frantically and began planting kisses across Remus's skin, as he deftly unbuttoned Remus's heavy shirt. Punctuating each sentence with a fresh kiss.
"I missed you too," he panted, his voice raspy and gravelly with lust. "I missed you so much. I missed your sleepy grumbling in the morning. I missed the way your kisses make me feel." Remus's hands continued to map the plains of his body, sliding down closer to Sirius's waistband. "I missed your hands on me. The feel of your palm against my cock."
Remus whimpered slightly, his hand dipping to cup Sirius through his trousers as his hips jerked just enough for Sirius to become aware of the growing rection in those ill-fitting jeans.
Sirius groaned lewdly, "How could you ever think someone like Fabian could compare to this. Compare to you,"
Before he even drew another breath, Sirius knew he'd made a mistake.
Remus stiffened, and not in the way Sirius had previously been enjoying. His hands pulled back from Sirius's body as if he'd been burned and his face twisted into something ugly. An angry, hurt, devestated look that Sirius had seen only once before.
"So you did sleep with him," Remus seethed. He was pulling further and further away. Sirius's heart began to race. Not again. He couldn't do this again.
"You swore to me. You swore on James and Lily that you hadn't."
"I didn't. Remus I swear to you. I told you the truth. I did not sleep with Fabian that night. I..." Sirius stammered. Remus was glaring at him. His whiskey coloured eyes dark, and stormy. Just tell him the truth. James's voice spoke in his mind. Firm and wise, and reassuring as ever. Sirius took a deep breath, nodded, and continued. "I didn't sleep with Fabian the night your father died. I would never have done that. I was stupid and I responded to our argument by going out and getting absolutely wasted but I did not sleep with him. I spent the night sleeping off the booze on his sofa, because he knew if I came home in the state I was in I'd only make the situation worse." Sirius took another breath and steadied himself. Just say it. James told him. Get it over with. Like ripping off a plaster.
Sirius swallowed, "But after you kicked me out. I went back there. We got drunk again and I thought... I thought if you were going to accuse me of shagging him regardless, I might as well get something from it. So I did. I regretted it the moment I sobered up. But you'd already left me by that point so I had nothing left to lose. It... It happened a few more times over the next few months before we both agreed it wasn't right. I was still hung up on you, Remus. I have been since we were sixteen years old. I love you. I've always loved you."
Sirius finally stopped for breath. His heart was racing. But he trusted James. Had always trusted him. If James said it was going to be alright, he had to believe it would be.
He stared at Remus. His Moony. He searched Remus's face for any sign of understanding. Any semblance of forgiveness. Of reciprocation of the love that he felt. For a second, he thought he saw the storm clouds in Remus's eye lighten, and he reached out a hand to steady and reassure them both. As soon as his palm made contact with Remus's thigh, the other man recoiled. The clouds returned and he snarled, "Get out."
"Remus, please," Sirius couldn't control the way his voice broke.
"Get out and don't come back. I don't want you here."
Just as it had two years ago, the room around them plunged into darkness. Everything Sirius had hoped and dreamed of shattered to a million pieces around them. This life, the life he'd always envisaged for them, of a home together, a family, it crumbled into nothing but dust and pain. Instinctively he reached for Remus again, desperate to ground himself, to stop Remus from pulling too far away. But he couldn't. Remus was already out of reach.
"What about Harry. The will..."
"Harry's better off without someone like you. Someone who'll do nothing but let him down. We'll both be better off. The lawyers will see that eventually."
The savegery of Remus's words and the raw pain in his eyes were a blow to Sirius's chest. And though he'd never thought it possible, it hurt more now than it had before. Remus stood up, breaking the spell and bringing the room back into focus. Cementing the reality they found themselves in.
"I'm going to bed. When I come down in the morning, I don't want to find you here. You understand?“
Tears pricked at the corners of Sirius's eyes. His throat burned with unspoken words and he longed to let everything burst out of him. To catch Remus in the tsunami of his feelings, promises and reassurances. But what was the point. They were broken. Sirius had broken them irreparably two years ago.
As if reading his mind, Remus muttered, "I was a gods damned fool to think anything had changed."
He didn't look back, but he didn't need to. Sirius knew the exact expression of his face because it likely mirrored his own. He held back the tears long enough for Remus to retreat to his bedroom and close the door.
The sun was starting to rise behind the living room curtains when Sirius finally ran out of tears. Everything ached, and every part of his body trembled as he moved around the room, collecting his things.
He'd done nothing but fuck up Remus's life and the life they could have had together for the last two years. If not longer. But he'd be damned if he continued to do so. By the time Harry stumbled, bleary eyed into the living room, Sirius was long gone.

DAY 18 - Self-worth Principle
When a person tries to make themselves seem more important because they feel inferior in some way, the opposite happens. The harder they try to emphasise their worth, the less significant they actually become and vice versa. When a person is not worried about their worth, their sense of worth is unconditional. Our sense of self-worth is a very cunning type of excess potential. Balancing forces will do anything they can to wobble you off your pedestal. When you let go of your own worth, you start to acquire it. At the same time, be careful never to bruise someone else’s sense of worth. Make it a personal taboo. If you do, you will save yourself a lot of problems that would seem to come out of nowhere.
Interpretation
The need to strengthen your position and emphasise your finer qualities is an illusion. It’s the same as chasing after the reflection in the vicious mirror circle. So how do you convince yourself that you are worthy and have no need to prove it? There is one feedback chain by which the effect removes the cause. You have to redirect your intention consciously. Rather than trying to put yourself forward in the most favourable light, stop making any attempt at all to increase your worth. When a person isn’t trying to make themselves appear more important (although almost everyone does it), people intuitively sense that their value goes without saying and that person is, as if by magic, treated with greater favour and respect. As a result, the heart and mind are gradually instilled with the conviction that, «I really am worth something.» At a certain point, the mirror circle stops and then turns in the opposite di-rection moving towards you. As a result, your self-esteem improves and it is as if you never had an inferiority complex at all.

I got a huge bomb with me should we bomb poseidon Dick ass?🥰🥰 WITH ADAMAS🥰 MY QUEEN NEEDS REVENGE AND JUSTICE.
No worries I caught up,but yeah jack slayed so hard💅😌💞
I don't mind jack winning the fignt but it was sad when hercules died...his loved ones rections was so sad.
Mabye it is just me I don't really think bruehilde cares that her sisters dies because how come she never shows any emtions ...,? Or mabye just hiding them away....
☆👓-anon.
HELL YEAH BOMB STUPID POSEIDON’S ASS, OUR BOY ADAMAS NEEDS THAT JUSTICE‼️‼️
Honestly Jack did slay in that fight, his British ass literally ran away for some tea at the beginning of the fight. He even offered some to Hercules, what a gentleman. AND JACK DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER, HIS MOM WAS A WHORE WHO LITERALLY SAID THAT SHE ONLY GAVE BIRTH TO HIM SO THATT HIS FATHER COULD MARRY HER. SHE’S SUCH A BITCH OMGOODNESS.
LIKE LOOK AT YOUNG JACK. HE DIDN’T DESERVE THIS TREATMENT😭😭😭 AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH. sorry about that. Lil bro did not have to go through this😭
And for Brunhilde, I think she doesn’t give a shit about her sisters. She literally CRIED when she was alone when Hercules died, but she didn’t do that for her sisters when they died. Not a single one. Why would she do that for Hercules and not her sisters? So I thinks she doesn’t care about them.
And sorry if it takes me long to respond to your next ask, I will be sleeping since it’s late..

Fort Ballads
1. Ballad of the Range
The whole country is in a duel and we want no part of it. They see us ride, they say :all you men going the wrong di-rection. :We're getting to California. We ain't got time to enlist. If some forts ready to be sawed to colt towns, others are abandoned since ricket-limbed Southies couldn't let their grudges aside and mauled each other to blood strops. All around us forts lie built and unbuilt, half- walled towns as men yoke themselves to state, but we brothers are heading through fields of blue rye and plains scullground to silt sand, afar, the boomtowns of precious ore.

Vendredi 12 Janvier 2024 ❤ 🙏 Le week-end approche bonne journée!

i actually just dropped the spleen thing on my friend recently and it did get a great rection, i am voting this one as the best, especially paired with "it's likely that the head of an assassin cult probably still has it"
the number of robins still confuses me and i had a hyper fixation on this for a month or two. i have to say the fact that adaptations keep mixing up costume and personality elements is not helping. was convinced at the start of young justice i was looking at tim drakes robin and it was actually dick. the time line makes me want to cry, and none of the kids age properly in relation to each other, 0/10 this house is a nightmare.
jason died and got better isn't super impressive just on a trope level, but he died and got worse before he got better, like duffle bag worse, certainly is. honestly dying isn't top ten in wildest thing jason todd has done.
"dick was the angry robin" doesn't really make sense unless you already knew who dick was, unfortunately
discowing suit is not nearly the craziest thing about the bats (though a quick photo does give you evidence this actually happened, which is a plus).
H. Hey what do you think is the funniest piece of no-context lore to drop to someone who knows absolutely nothing about DC.
So far I got:
- Tim’s spleen
- “How many Robins there are really depends on how you’re counting.”
- The Second Robin died but its fine he got better
- Dick was the angry Robin
- the Discowing suit

Things... continue?
I tried to help again; I posted a video as well as laying out prominent bullet points from it in case they did not want to watch it.
Dog wanted to start right away; landing in the Land of Dragons before Isopod had even launched their game.
Dog was also very... combative about Xaldin. Telling us in kinder words to shut up about it.
Also, Isopod did not switch to a controller.
"I hate her. I hate her. She held the sword wrong and ran like she was in heels"-Dog about Mulan
"he would have a fuckin' batwing blade..."-Isopod about ''Riku''
"What. Is that"-Isopod. "That is a Breath of the Wild enemy"-Dog upon seeing the Storm Rider.
Isopod reached the Palace first, with Dog lagging behind and wanting to get to the Bamboo Grove Save Point.
They died in the palace a few times before clearing it, with an unlucky Anti-form for Isopod.
"This is an interesting fight." "It's just got... fuckin.. Dark Souls' projectiles" -Dog against Storm Rider
It appeared that both Dog and Isopod liked this boss fight more than Xaldin; and I agree- Xaldin sucks.
"Bazel? what're you doing here? what the fuck is Bazel doing here? it IS just Monster hunter" -Dog when Storm Rider did its bomb attack (Bazel as in Bazelgeuse from Monster Hunter)
They both beat Storm-rider first try; I'm happy for them.
After the Land of the Dragons, they opted to do Port Royal. Isopod had some stipulations since it's lvl 37; but I resoned they could do it because "it doesn't have a Xaldin boss".
Dog did a bit where he kept jumping trying to 'get' a puzzle piece. Dog's game then hard-crashed when saving. Afterwards he had no issues.
The Grim Reaper was next, after Luxord's talk on the boat, which was promptly beaten.
"Pitbull??!!" -Dog upon seeing Luxord. "eughh!"-Isopod's rection. "He looks like he'd grab a couple glowsticks and rave it up at a gaybar."-Isopod about Luxord "He looks like the guy who'd KIDNAP you at the bar"-Dog's rebuttal
There was some confusion with the timed Nobody fights- but they appeared to grasp it quickly and get the cursed treasure medallions swiftly. The Last (10 sec) medallion proved difficult for both of them, as they just seemed to be shy of a single hit away from killing it. Dog managed to get it with a thunder build; spamming it with as many thunders as possible, making Zeus proud.
Isopod needed to do an errand, so Dog went to eat.
Then, it was time for the second Grim-Reaper boss fight. A simple gimmicky boss fight that appeared easy, though Isopod died; then hard crashed. I'm not sure what it is with this world crashing- but it's weird it's happened twice. Dog won first try. Isopod had more difficulty... trying three separate times before winning.
After that, they were finished. I was getting a migraine too- so we decided to stop for the week.
It has also been decided that Anti-form is now 'Silly Creature Mode'.
So me and two of my friends have started a Gaming Culture Exchange. It’s where we give one game that means a lot to us, or embodies us as a person for the other two to play. I, of course- picked Kingdom Hearts.
It took a bit of thought to whittle it down, but in the end, I chose to get my friends to play KHII. Because 1) it’s a fan favourite, 2) It has MUCH better combat and fluidity of controls than KHI, and 3) While yeah- you should play KHII and CoM, you can still glean the story; which is what I wanted them to play for. And if they don't understand anything- I'm here.
We meet up every Saturday night, and they play for 2-3 hours whilst I watch and act as a guide/tip-giver.
I wanted to document their experiences because they’re (mostly) fresh eyes in ‘24. This took so long to do because I kept forgetting to ask their permission to do this. How long? When we devised this, the KH series was announced that it was coming to steam during the VC call. I kind of laughed at the irony.
For now, let me introduce you to my friends! I’m not using any of their real names/what I call them due to identity.
Isopod: She/They: We get along really well and often watch shows together, play games or hang out. They’re more of a slow-paced gamer, liking farming sims and the less action-heavy Minecraft parts, but overall she loves genetic sims/ family tree games (wobbledogs, niece etc…). She’s seen little bits of KH, but doesn’t know a whole bunch. Their game for this exchange is Rainworld.
Dog: He/Him: We’re good friends that can get on each other's nerves and argue over pedantic stuff. He likes grimdark things and was the one who introduced me to Berserk. We, along with Isopod, watched Dungeon Meshi together, and I got him to watch Demon Slayer, which he’s enjoying. He actively dislikes/is uninterested in KH, not liking the style clash. His game for this exchange is Eldenring.
Due to the lag with getting permissions, each new entry will be each day until I've caught up, then every Sunday. Each day will be a reblog of this post with a Keep reading spoiler tag so that it doesn't clutter, but can be read in order.
Now that the stage is set, the journey starts below;
-
The game starts, and we jam out to Sanctuary. Isopod already kind of remembers who Roxas is and why he's here, but Dog doesn't- instead, he comments on the 'Gaming Rig' Roxas has got set up (the weird contraption with the light up star in his room) while Isopod laments that they'll never own a lamp as cool as his fish one.
'oh no, our ___ are gone!' "Your WHAT" -Dog
"I thought my audio glitched for a second" -Isopod
We then have to wait because Dog needed to eat dinner because his timing with that is impeccable, let me tell you. This let Isopod explore a bit and examine Roxas' outfit- which she concludes is a 'disaster'(lovingly).
It's then noted that Isopod is playing with Keyboard and mouse, and I m horrified. Dog is playing with an X-box controller and I lovingly refer to him as a heathen.
When Dog came back, the tutorial was completed, but I noticed that Dog... never really read the text. "I read it when Isopod has it up on her stream" he says. This'll bean important fact later.
During the Siefer fight, Isopod picks magic and Dog picks defence.
"woah whatda-" "Demon! actual demon!" Isopod and Dog during their first sighting of a Dusk. Quickly followed up with Isopod saying "why's he got cheeks though???"
The Dusk fight was quickly finished, and they both liked the reaction command (important for later).
"Why are they not calling for an adult. This (strange man) had pictures of children. That's VERY concerning" -Isopod "Yeah, the adults in this aren't very reliable" -Me, all knowing.
"COUNT DOOKU WHAT'RE YOU DOING HERE?!" -Dog upon hearing DiZ.
I then let the two do a few chores for munny. Dog does the Cargo Climb, and Isopod the Mail Delivery.
After a short while, I could hear them bemoan doing the same thing over and over; then I say 'yeah- you don't have to collect the full amount, you can go now', which fills the conversation with relief.
"Oh my god Roxas is hallucinating now" - Isopod "I think his friends are gaslighting him" -Dog upon the Pickpocket scene.
The Namine scenes had some interesting reactions:
"Why is there a GIRL braking into his room?!" -Isopod "Puberty is sometimes like that" -Dog
"That is a note an adult leaves when they want to kidnap children." -Dog upon reading Hayner's note "Yeah, I wouldn't trust it" -Isopod. "is she a Jojo???" -Isopod Dog then imitates Dio -during Namine's meeting with Roxas where she freezes time.
Then, in the Dive to the Heart, Isopod picks Attack, and Dog picks Defence. Isopod is able to beat Twilight Thorn straight away, but Dog takes two attempts.
The Fourth day is where everything fell apart. The tournament was easy, and neither struggled against Hayner or Vivi. Then came along Axel.
Isopod beat Axel fairly quickly. I thought they'd struggle, but they didn't. Dog, however struggled. I noticed that when he attacked Axel after parrying or blocking, Axel would retaliate- I told him what I saw, but Dog complained 'I can't attack him otherwise'. It took Dog going from Crit to Proud to beat Axel. "Wow Golden, you're cruel to put a new player on the hardest difficulty" you say, and you would be right, but Dog typically loves very hard games, and boasts that it took him 8 solid hours to beat a boss in Eldren Ring and that 'it was awesome', so I suggested Crit to him.
When Axel was beaten, Dog was VERY tired of Kingdom Hearts, and actively tried his best to dislike it, talking bad about the combat and how 'you're locked into an action'. Isopod did not share this, and was enjoying her time. I could tell that Dog wanted this done, but I urged them forward because they were nearing the finale of the prologue.
They did the wonders, made fun of Roxas' friends gaslighting him into thinking he didn't fall off the clocktower, and they both beat Axel fairly easily second go around. They then made fun of Sora's shoes for 5 minutes straight, and ended the session.
-
It was fun seeing people's first reactions to KHII. Dog's reaction was nothing new to me, as I knew this wouldn't be his favourite, and is only playing so me and Isopod play Eldenring. I'm hoping in the future, he'll warm up to it. Isopod is enjoying her time with the game, which is good to hear.

“My father’s job was complicated, and I have no memories of my mother or other relatives, I pretty much raised myself because of it. And since I started working early I can say proudly I’m a master at cleaning, I can probably cover up the grusomest of crime scenes.” She said, the last sentence being in a more joking tone, but it was true, and she’s been wanted for her crime cleaning services more than once. “For the most part I was just minding my own business, until he passed away.” The guilt that she was the cause to it, that it could have been avoided if he had let him inside her home, and the anger drove her to making reckless actions to find his killer. If only she had seen his killer’s face clearly that night all would have been prevented. Or maybe in that timeline she would have been killed for real. Given how the police swept her father’s case under the rug, younger her would have likely faced him herself while having little to none combat experience and skills. In that sence her naivety kind of pepared her for what was to come.
“Oh, I can tell you that I definitely didn’t know how to use them at the age where I was barely an adult, that’s for sure.” She laughed; too bad all the shit that happened as a chain rection after her father’s death was around that perioud of time. She took a seat once the lead her to one of the many bars around here. “Then what do you think is better to call them?”
'i do my job so well, you will not have to clean up after me,' san replied. he knew them well, there were entire organizations dedicated to fixing the sloppy work of others. of course, there also were jobs that required a little bit of mess here and then. it was simple, thinking of it, for every job needed there always would be one to take it and if you were smart then you made it your own success. some people built empires out of something nobody else wanted to have to do with.
'dwelling on why people died is never a good idea however, i was taught an act of good revenge takes time, and not always the death of the other the goal. rather, to haunt them for the rest of their lives so that they can enjoy it no more.' san stretched: 'doesn't sound like a good topic to relax tho. what do you do if oyu don't clean or deal with strange people?'
