So you know how lots of kids get dumped into foster care when their parents are either not around or deemed unfit? And you know how lots of religious groups and religious get approved as foster homes despite being cruel? And you know how the Midwest of America is/was super not great for anyone queer in the 80s? And how sometimes if people couldn’t get store bought conversion therapy, homemade was fine?
Before Wayne finds out that his brother and sister in law have lost custody of their kid, before he raises hell and rips up the system to find him, Eddie goes into the system for a few years.
After Wayne finds him, he immediately rebels against all the things they insisted he do. He listens to satanic music and he finds dungeons and dragons and becomes as much of a freak as possible. Because those are the pieces he feels safe reaching for. That’s the stuff they lectured about and reminded all the kids not to touch. That’s what’s safe.
The stuff they really wanted to crush down and smother is too broken for Eddie to rebel against. Not right away. Not a few years later when he starts to think about it more. Not when he tries to like girls his junior year and fails at it.
The things they did to him when he was a kid and gave them the slightest indication he might be queer are too deep in his bones.
Even when Steve comes out, and Robin and Will. Even when they’re supported and loved, even then, he can’t break that hold. He doesn’t repeat the words that echo in his memories, he knows it would hurt his friends. He isn’t unsupportive, but he can’t even think about himself that way without feeling sick.
And maybe Robin and Steve aren’t paragons of queer inclusion and are actually sharp about. Because it’s so obvious to them that Eddie is gay. He flirts with Steve constantly and he has never stared at women or girls, no matter how hot they’re considered or how topless they are. They’re confident. So confident they kinda pressure him. It’s with the best of intentions, since they both felt so much better about themselves after coming out and finding allies.
They know Eddie was in the foster system for a little while, and that Eddie hated them, but to Eddie, they didn’t do anything beyond the normal scale of shitty guardians. He doesn’t think of it as conversion therapy. To be honest, it wasn’t. It was Aversion therapy. He never really got a chance to recognize anything about himself before they started grinding that identity into dust.
It comes to a head when they’re all a little crossfaded and hanging out at Steve’s. Nancy, Jon and Argyle are there too, everyone laughing teasing each other.
Eddie always sits next to Steve and he always leans close when he teases, when he jokes, when he flirts. It’s so so obvious to everyone, and Steve knows everybody in the room is some kind of queer. It’s safe. He knows it’s safe.
Steve closes the distance, kisses Eddie. It’s a question and an invitation. Do you want this too? Do you like me? Can I kiss you again? Longer? Harder? It lasts a short few seconds.
Eddie shoves him away, hesitates, and then breaks Steve’s nose. He’s out the door and gone before the others have gotten past their initial wtf reaction.
The only reason Eddie is still in town the next morning is because Wayne was home when Eddie got there. He got a fragment of an explanation, and stole the keys to Eddie’s van when he passed out after a panic attack and breakdown.

What your favorite SU character says about you but it's just mean as fuck
Steven — How is being a mentally ill, people-pleasing queer going for you? Did your mommy issues and anxiety resolve themselves yet or are you still avoiding therapy?
You either disliked or were neutral about him until he got a neck. You think Future is peak cinema (correct) and can't understand why everyone else hates it. You have a better grasp on this show's characters and themes than most of the people who watched it.
Connie — You were likely the gifted kid in school but a total burn-out now. You either see a lot of yourself in this character (How are those helicopter parents of yours doing? Have you gone no-contact yet?) or you're a normie and boring to sandbox with. Probably both.
You've got a lot of Feelings™️about her and if people don't agree it causes Problems™️. In case no one has told you yet, stop caring what other people think. Your constant virtue signaling to appeal to other normies is a crutch that's just holding you back. It's okay to have fun!!
Stevonnie — You want to fuck this character, though you'd never say that out loud. You like Steven and Connie; maybe you like one more than the other, but you like both at least a little. If you're using them for shipping you're the only person in the entire fandom doing whatever hyper-specific ship you've latched onto.
Rose and or Pink — You really suck as a person! Or you used to suck but you've gotten a lot better and we stan! If you're the former you almost certainly have terrible takes on this show (but not in the way people might think), sorry, I don’t make the rules. Either way, you gotta stop finding ways to bring her back, dawg. She's gone.
Greg — You're a man (positive) and gay as hell. Gentleman on the streets and a fucking freak in the sheets. We stan. Pop off king <3
Garnet — If you headcanon her as acespec she is not actually your favorite, Ruby and Sapphire are your favorite, but you like them both equally so you just say you like Garnet. If you headcanon her as anything else you're definitely shipping her with one of the other gems, probably Pearl or Jasper.
Amethyst — Super chill person. Would be in most people's dream blunt rotation. You're a live and let live kinda guy and I respect that, but you also have no hills you'd die on so you're not the first person anyone goes to if they need serious support. You can get away with misinterpreting this character (on purpose or accidentally) because it's hard to say things about her that most people won't just shrug at and go "yeah that sounds right I guess"
Pearl — You're annoying as hell. You see yourself in this character and that's not a good thing. Your social media presence gives off the same energy as every white woman's Instagram profile. If being a victim was a contest you'd take home the gold.
You think everyone is out to get you. They're not.
You think you're being persecuted. You're not.
Most people who see you from a distance and don't know better think you're alright, so you're probably pretty well-liked in public. The only people you will get along with in close quarters are all walking mean lesbian stereotypes.
Peridot — You're annoying as hell for a different reason. You see yourself in this character too and that is a terrible, terrible thing.
She's your pfp on every website and app that will allow it. Your lifeblood is this fucking character and e v e r y o n e will know it. You're weirdly possessive of her and the hyper specific headcanons you made for her (even if you don't say that) despite every grass-fearing autistic person on the internet projecting onto her, so ironically you don't like other Peridot fans, which always ends up with you sitting alone even on websites with millions of people on them.
90% chance you're a furry, otherkin, therian or think you have DID. You think you're misunderstood, and in some ways you are, but the reality is most people don't speak dog and don't have the time or energy to learn. You need to go outside and learn to speak cat whether you want to or not
Lapis — You don't like Peridot fans or kinnies, which is weirdly in-character. You're the biggest hater but you don't hide it and I can respect that. You think Lapis is a victim, but you're only half right. You would probably fall for propaganda if it was dressed up fancy enough.
Jasper — You want to fuck this character, full stop. There's a 50/50 chance you're chill af or the most insufferable person on the planet. If you're the former you're friends with a lot of people. You float easily from one group to another, but a jack of all trades is a master of none, and you're no one's first pick if they're looking for someone close. You probably hate Lapis and her fans but you should really just let that shit go ngl
Spinel — You need therapy (derogatory) and you're making that everyone else's problem. Despite the clown aesthetic you're not very funny to be around and you should get a better sense of humor. You project onto this character way too hard and it shows in your fandom habits and headcanons, but most of the time that's fine
Like Spinel, you're a little two-faced. Some people pick up on that right away and some don't. The people who do hold you at arms length until you make it clear which clown you'd rather be. You hate it when people ship Spinel with any character besides your favorite pairing, but you'll never say that out loud unless it's a ship the people you're talking to don't like.
Blue Diamond — You're a man (derogatory) or a minor who doesn't actually understand anything about this character yet, and would immediately fall for any and all forms of propaganda
Yellow Diamond — If you think she is wearing a helmet you're a man (derogatory) and you expected things out of SU that were never gonna happen. If you think it's just hair you have a much better grasp on this character than 90% percent of SU's fandom and I'm platonically kissing you on the mouth.
White Diamond — You're a man (derogatory) or an incredibly based and sexy queer.
The Zircons — You like Ace Attorney, or would like it if you haven't played it yet. You're making them kiss sloppy style. UwU
Lars — You probably didn't like him until after he died. You will defend this boy with your fucking life. Also you should just…. go watch Star Trek if you haven't. Seriously what are you doing—
Sadie — You're an oddball. Very lax though. You have complicated feelings about Shep
Peedee — You're a little quirky, a little freaky, but you're too scared to just say that. You desperately need some fun in your life, but the people around you make that difficult. Eventually you'll find the folks that are worth hanging around. See you on the flip side :)
Ronaldo — You're the type of person this character is based on and you take it in stride. If you're shipping him with Lars, you're the only person who's opinion on this character matters.
Kevin — I dunno who hurt you but you have a terrible taste in men. You only have fun in bed if it involves a damn near human rights violation
Mayor Dewey — You're normalbirb
Any other townie — This is a trick question! No one has these as their favorite lmao
#hi this post is not serious#i am. putting myself and my friends on blast mostly LMAO#if u come in here talkin about 'oh no i like that townie' im stealing your left sock#steven universe#nugget rambles#text.txt#long post

My parents are just like Mike and El, and that's why I'm anti-Mileven.
My mom grew up in an extremely religious, extremely conservative, cult-like household where she wasn't allowed to leave the house except to go to church and the grocery store. My dad grew up with parents who hated each other and argued constantly but never got divorced. His household was also extremely religious.
They started dating when my mom was 17 and my dad was 25. It was the first relationship for both of them and it was good for neither of them. My dad was depressed, emotionally unavailable, repressing his homosexuality, and didn't know how to show affection toward my mom. My mom was traumatized and didn't know anything about relationships because she was so extremely sheltered and was told that marriage isn't for love but just to have kids. She tried to make their marriage work but they never truly loved each other. Despite that, they were forced to get married when my mom was 20 and my dad was 28 because of their families' beliefs that not marrying the first person you date is sinful.
Their marriage lasted 17 years and was tragic. They considered each other family, but neither of them loved each other. My mom was naive and my dad was repressed. They argued constantly, and it was Hell for me and my brothers.
When my parents got divorced 6 years ago, everything almost instantly improved. My dad didn't have to try to put work into the relationship he didn't even want to be a part of, and my mom, who was basically trapped in a relationship at a young age and never got to heal from her childhood trauma, was able to start being free and learn how to grow. Both of them are 100% happier now, and it's been better for me and my brothers, who no longer have to deal with the anger and resentment for the false feelings they both had.
El is like my mom. She was raised in a lab, just like my mom was raised in a Christian cult, and she was forced into a relationship before she even understood what it meant, just like my mom was.
Mike is like my dad. He was a depressed and repressed queer man who took up a relationship with a woman for the sake of society and his family and who never truly understood what it would be like to love someone.
This is a huge part of the reason that I'm anti-Mileven. I've seen first hand the results of emotionally repressed gay people trying to maintain straight relationships. I've seen first hand the results of people who had serious childhood trauma that they never got over. And I've seen how when they were able to separate from their over-dependent, false loving relationship they were so much happier.
Even if you don't think Mike is gay, the point still stands. El deserves to find herself and get over her trauma. Mike deserves to find himself and get over his own trauma. They can both only grow apart.
(tldr: my gay dad and my traumatized mom had a failed relationship just like mileven's)
#so no byler is not the only reason i don't ship mileven#mike wheeler#el hopper#eleven stranger things#mike stranger things#byler#anti mileven#mileven is bones#mike wheeler is gay

Please, elaborate more on these Hazbin Hotel headcanons. I’m very interested in hearing about them.
I would like to preface all my posts on headcanons related to psychology and mental illness with a disclaimer: diagnosing mental conditions, especially personality disorders, can be extremely challenging. It's a complicated process that relies heavily on a psychologist's interpretation of facts, making it susceptible to biases. Personality disorders cannot be diagnosed based on surface-level observations and are not just labels that we can assign to people like in the case of MBTI. Additionally, I am not a clinician with any expertise in diagnosing people. Therefore, the following post should not be taken as a reliable professional opinion. It's simply my interpretation of the internal mechanisms that may be responsible for the behavior of certain characters in my fan fiction. Furthermore, I want to make it clear that I have no intention of stigmatizing people with personality disorders by associating them with villains. A personality disorder does not determine someone's character or make them a bad person. Some characters may be evil because of the choices they make, not as a result of their mental conditions.
Since you didn't ask about anything specific, I'll just give some headcanons on Vs since I think about them the most.
> Vs are not a polycule, it's VoxVal + Velvette because she would never touch any of these losers. What's more, Vox and Val are extremely sexist (I mean it's kinda canon, we heard how they speak about women) so if she had sex with any (or both) of them, she would no longer be one of the boys and become one of the bitches.
> Vox has NPD, Val has BPD, Vel has APD.
> Vox is continuously overstimulated because he's constantly connected to his web. That's why snaps so easily and sometimes goes through 5 stages of grief in 5 seconds. He could disconnect (and sometimes he does) but he's too much of a control freak to not lurk constantly.
> During his life on earth, Valentino had a terrible, toxic father. Very much machismo who abused him relentlessly for being queer. (Not that I want to make him sympathetic, I just think that evil people are often miserable before they become evil.) Because Val is very queer, not just "man occasionally fucking other men", he's always been loud and proud pansexual and gender non-conforming. He wasn't some kind of activist, very concerned about queer issues, he just refused to stay in the closet out of spite, and because it made men around him uncomfortable. He just enjoyed being perceived as a deviant. It was one of the things that eventually got him killed.
> Vox is like a hardcore sadist. He cuts people open just to feel powerful.
> During his life on Earth, Vox used to be extremely homophobic because his bisexuality was threatening to his masculinity. He's also the embodiment of toxic white masculinity from the 50's. He actually did some personal growth in Hell, eg. He gave up racism, homophobia, transphobia, and most other -phobias, and now he despites everyone rather equally. He just bullies women more because misogynistic violence is a low-hanging fruit.
> So with Velvette I had some fun because she manifested in Hell not so long ago and happened to be as powerful as other Vs, who had much more experience and souls collected. So I assumed she must be completely deranged. I came up with the idea that she used to be a toxic influencer who built a cult-like following around her. She weaponized it against multiple people, ruining lives, and manipulating kids into committing crimes or even suicides. Her methods are very fine, Vox and Val have nothing on her when it comes to cruelty.
> Velvette is not misogynistic per se but she despises weak women who can't fight for themselves. That's why other Vs behavior don't bother her, she doesn't feel threatened by their aggression.
> Angel Dust has BPD and an eating disorder. That's why he fell for Valentino so terribly, to trust him with his soul. He used to think that Valentino is the only person fucked up enough to truly love him as damaged as he'd been. (More hc about Val and Angel here). Actually Val has a very similar backstory to him - a queer, gender non-conforming man in a very masculine environment (I'm not sure how canonic is Angel working for the Italian Mafia at this point but I stick to it until proven otherwise).
Other headcanos about Vox and Val ❤️🩵

cw: sexual discussions, gender dysphoria (trans Eddie Munson pov), virgin Eddie, mentions of period typical transphobia and homophobia
It comes as a bit of a surprise, when Steve comes out to Eddie as gay. Even more of a surprise when Steve follows it up with and I’m attracted to you. Eddie has to remind him, with clenched teeth, bracing for the impact of rejection, that he doesn’t have the parts Steve wants.
“You think I care what’s in your pants, man? You’re hot, either way. I’m just saying, like, I’d fuck you,” Steve says, blowing smoke into the air in front of him. He’s sitting against the side of Eddie’s bed, hogging the joint Eddie rolled for them both. “I’m also, like, really fucking high. So forget I said all that.”
Eddie reaches over the edge of his bed and snatches the joint back before Steve can bring it to his mouth again.
He takes a hit, letting the smoke fill his lungs while he ruminates on, well, all of that.
“You sure you’re gay?” Eddie asks, settling on that question first. He winces as he says it, his own internal hangups taking hold of him. He knows he’s a man, there’s no doubt about that. He’s been validated to hell and back by Wayne, a bunch of older queers Wayne is friends with, and the one doctor in the state of Indiana that has shown him any kind of compassion.
He just knows how other people are. How, despite him knowing who he is, a lot of people just see him for his cunt and his tits. Well, not like he has much of his tits left, not after the demobats performed a botched mastectomy on him and left him with one and a half breasts. The doctors that put him back together wouldn’t remove the rest. He knows that Steve could just be getting some wires crossed — yes, he could be attracted to Eddie, but Eddie has to ask if it’s really because he’s into men and sees Eddie as a man, or if… If it’s the alternative.
“Pretty sure, man,” Steve answers. He tilts his head back over the edge of the bed and looks at Eddie, where he’s lying against his pillows. “Like, I don’t think about,” he waves vaguely at Eddie’s body, and Eddie knows he’s being careful, like he can’t just talk about him without overthinking each word. “I think about, like, how you pinned me to a wall with a bottle to my throat and I think about how you hotwired that RV. I was definitely into you during both of those things, and I had no idea about, you know.”
And that’s true. Eddie’s been hiding it pretty good since he moved to town. Buzzed his head in his bathroom the day his dad got arrested. Had a pretty good feeling his pops wasn’t coming back from this one before he even left. Usually he took Eddie along with him, but that final time he left him with a pile of change and a phone number and told him to call Wayne if he wasn’t back by the next afternoon.
Wayne took one look at him when he showed up, asked him about the buzzcut, asked him what name he was going by these days, and then took him to meet some friends. Didn’t even have time to meet any other kids before he started getting tips from an older trans man that Wayne met years back. Since then, Eddie kept his head down, his chest bound, and never uttered a sound until he got on testosterone and his voice started to deepen and crack along with all the other boys.
“Okay, well now you do know, so,” Eddie points out. He shrugs, takes another hit and then passes the joint back down to Steve. “You’d really fuck me? Pussy and all?”
“I mean, I’ve got experience with it,” Steve says. “I just don’t like women, is all. You’re not a woman.”
Eddie doesn’t really get it. How Steve can go from Hawkins’ biggest lady killer to lounging on Eddie the freak Munson’s dingy bedroom floor saying he doesn’t like ladies at all. Steve Harrington, who, and it’s no secret, called Jonathan Byers a queer a few years ago and laughed when his slimy friends called other boys fags. Yet here he is, saying that Eddie’s a man. So much of a man that Steve says he’s gay and wants to fuck him in the same breath.
It doesn’t make any fucking sense.
“What about you?” Steve asks. “Would you?”
“Would I what?”
“Fuck me,” Steve clarifies. “Want to get fucked by me. I mean, hey if you’ve got a dick laying around, I’d let you put it in me, too. I don’t think I’m picky.”
Eddie sighs, dropping his head down to his pillow. This is where it gets tricky. Yeah, he’d have sex with Steve Harrington. Who wouldn’t? But as much experience as Steve has with pussy, Eddie’s a pussy with no experience. Other than a few drunken kisses in dark clubs eighty miles from home, he’s completely terrified of putting himself out there, and honestly for good reason too.
Being gay in this town is hard enough, but if anyone finds out he’s trans, he’s fucking done for. It was scary enough realizing Steve knows, and he didn’t even have a choice in Steve finding out. Next time he tries to die, he’s gonna make sure he gets to a hospital instead of getting his clothes cut off on Steve’s parents’ bathroom floor.
But yeah, Steve knows, and there’s no more risk of him finding out, and that’s pretty much the main reason Eddie hasn’t had sex with anyone, so.
“Yeah, I guess,” he answers.
“Cool,” Steve whispers.
And that’s it. That’s all the conversation is.
Steve crawls into Eddie’s bed and curls up beside him like they always do when he sleeps over, and he takes the joint from Eddie to take one last hit. He reaches over Eddie to put it in the ashtray and then lays back down.
“So, um,” Eddie says. Because he’s confused. He thought Steve was coming onto him. He thought this was a precursor for Steve coming in him.
“What’s up?” Steve asks lazily, voice catching on a yawn.
“Well, I’m glad we established all that, but, like… Are we not going to…?”
“What? Oh, no. I’m way too high,” Steve whispers, turning his face into Eddie’s shoulder. “Another time?”
Eddie laughs because he has no idea how his life became this.
“Sure,” Eddie agrees. “Another time.”
Steve sits up, presses a loud, smacking kiss to Eddie’s temple, and then drops his head back down. He turns his face in toward Eddie’s neck, arm finding its place around Eddie’s waist. Eddie can’t see his face, but he thinks Steve’s pleased smile might just match his own.

✨ My BSD hot takes/unpopular opinions ✨:
1. Identifying BSD characters as Queer, is not problematic. STOP being so Heteronormative. Gay characters are not gonna kill you.
If I see another "BuT tHe ChArAcTeRs nEvEr SaId tHeY aRe GaY" I would bomb you 💣/j
2. Skk/SSKK/Fyolai/other popular ships, exist because people like it. If you don't ship them, don't engage with their content. Not all shippers act crazy and toxic. Stop blaming everything on shippers.
3. Atsushi/Kyouka is problematic, stop justifying it with "only 4 year age gap". Kyouka is a CHILD, ship her with Kenji if you want. Atsushi, like a normal 18 year old would never look at a highschool freshman and date her. Even if they date in the future, he knew her when she was younger and they had a sibling like dynamic. Lucy is a way better love interest to Atsushi (Don't know if this is an unpopular opinion tho, but I saw some people justifying it 😐😐😐)
4. DAZAI IS NOT EVIL. HE IS FAR FROM EVIL. He is, despite being super popular and the face of BSD, the most mischaracterized and villified character. Morally grey characters exist??!!!
5. Mori is a way worse person than Dazai ever was.
6. PM members get a free pass for any heinous crime they commit by being hot or babygirl-ified (still love them tho, we do not often discuss how bad their actions have been, you can like criminals and acknowledge they are criminals in fiction. I would add DoA to this too, but it's worse with the PM)
7. Akutagawa's abuse of Kyouka shouldn't be forgotten just because Dazai abused Akutagawa.
8. Mori emotionally manipulated and abused Dazai when he was a teen. Just because it wasn't physical, doesn't mean it was nothing.
9. Atsushi is NOT a soft boy, he is way bitter, salty and sarcastic than we give him credit
10. Poe is important to Ranpo and their friendship/relationship is wholesome as hell
11. Ranpo and Yosano's friendship is way better than them being in a relationship in the future
12. FukuFuku is better than Fukumori (imo!!!!)
13. Buying real authors work after watching BSD is actually a really good thing, since more Gen z kids (or other people) will read classics
14. There are layers to Atsushi and Akutagawa relationship/rivalry, and they have the MOST important relationship (not meaning romantic, just in general) in the entire canon.
15. Kunikida and Yosano could be a power couple
16. Fyodor is not a great villain (yet)
17. Nikolai CARRIES the DoA
18. Sigma shouldn't be in the ADA, he needs a happy home, family and some time to adjust to normal life
19. Q and Elise are both underused characters and could become a great dynamic
20. Ango deserves more love, the amount of pressure and stress he deals with is INSANE
21. It's OKAY if everyone joins the fandom for Dazai or skk (I did at first too!!)
22. Higuchi is annoying as hell. I do not get her hype, I like her but not as much as most people (just personal opinion, do not flame me 😭)
23. Everyone in The Guild is forgettable or boring (except Fitzgerald, Poe and Lucy. I like Louisa, but I forget her all the time)
24. Hetero ships are just not that great/interesting in BSD to me 🤷🏻♀️ (except maybe AtsuLucy or rare pairs) and female characters are not best utilised, I wish they play more major roles (can't wait for Agatha to arrive!!)
25. Some fan theories/arts get the story better than "canon" stuff at times. Fanon is NOT always the worst (sometimes enjoyable when the canon gets too dark or sad)
26. Toxic ships are okay in fiction as long as they are legal. Humans like toxic things, we consume it like junk food 💅🏻
(These are all personal opinions of mine and do not matter. Feel free to disagree. But, do not hate or be toxic!!!! 😇😇😇😇)
(PS: I compiled all these because of posts I have seen in, Reddit, Pinterest, Twitter and sometimes Tiktok. These aren't really abt you Tumblr folks. I meant to post this on reddit but did not have the courage or mental strength lol)

Eddie Diaz, Queerness, and Faith
So I've had this idea floating around in my head all day following the most recent episode and with Buddie canon seemingly closer than ever, I thought I'd share it with y'all.
An interesting storyline I would absolutely LOVE for them to explore with Eddie is his relationship with Catholacism/Christianity as a whole and his sexuality, both in childhood and as an adult. I think it's inevitable that his relationship with religion would be brought up if they decide to go the route of Eddie being a repressed gay man. It's kind of unavoidable given his family history and his resurfaced Catholic guilt. I mean, growing up in Texas in the Catholic church as a gay kid??? As a queer atheist, it sounds like my own personal hell.
That being said, I think it would be really cool to see Eddie's journey to self-acceptance coincide with a restored faith in God and the church. It's not a storyline I've personally seen very often with gay characters (the only example I can think of atm is Eric from Sex Education), and I think it could be a really valuable form of representation for both progressive forms of Christianity and queer BIPOC Christians.
I don't think it's realistic given Eddie's decades-long repression for him to have this realization of feelings for Buck and just be okay with it without taking the time to interrogate all of his past relationships (romantic, familial, and religious) and how they have contributed to his repression. I would love to see him come back to LA post-feelings realization and for him to have more conversations with Father Brian about all of this. I want there to be a conversation between them about how Father Brian can reconcile being a gay man (because let's face it, he likely is, despite being celibate) and his faith in God, as well as being an active participant in the church who is guiding other people in their faith. I want to see the juxtaposition of Eddie growing up with a faith that is, at it's core, based in guilt and shame, to stepping into a faith based in love, acceptance, and affirmation (as, imo, Christianity SHOULD BE but all too often is not). I want more bonding and one-on-one conversations between Eddie and Bobby about faith, too. It would be really nice to see them bond more over something they have in common outside of their profession, especially with Bobby being a father figure to Buck.
I think his relationship with Buck could also be a way to explore inter-faith relationships. Now, I could be completely off-base with this, but Buck strikes me as a character that, while superstitious, is not religious. There hasn't been anything I've seen up to this point, that I can remember anyway, that suggests Buck believes in God. If it is the case that he is an atheist or agnostic, I would love to see how they navigate their relationship surrounding the topic, especially given the long and difficult history surrounding homophobia in the church. I don't even necessarily mind the topic becoming quite contentious (between them or brought on by external circumstances), but at the end of it all I want to see them get to a point where they approach this potential difference with love and mutual respect.
Idk I think it would just be really cool if they made this decision with Eddie's character. I know I've seen a few clips of Ryan in interviews talking about his own faith journey: growing up in the church, becoming distant from it as he got older, and then later coming back to God and religion. It would be awesome to see him being able to pour some of his own personal experiences with religion into this character, especially with how their journeys with faith would be kind of paralleled (though not entirely the same).
Anyways, if anyone wants to send me pre-existing fics or even write some based on this premise, I would love to read them 😊

bitching about landlord shit below
We finally found an apartment that fits our needs but when we did our pre-move in walk through we discovered there were dead and living bugs all over the place, the tub drain is chipped and rusted in a way that could absolutely injure you if you aren't careful, there are HUGE gaps between the baseboards and floor which is clearly how the bugs are getting in, and the dishwasher, which was our ONE priority is not only set in the wall wrong, but the rubber covering the racks is peeling away and the metal underneath is rusted all to hell, it's ALSO full of bugs!! So time to see if they agree to replace it and fix all this other shit or if we break the lease and find somewhere else to live because I am immunocompromised and this shit is extremely unsanitary and the dishwasher is essentially unusable even if it turns on.
The place is also way dirtier than it was when we first looked at it (we did notice some of these issues prior to signing the lease but the manager kept saying how the apartment wasn't ready yet and she needed to do her walk through to make sure everything was up to standard and kept saying there was a lot more work to be done so we assumed it would all be fixed upon us taking possession of it, we didn't move in without looking at the place we're not THAT ignorant) and it doesn't look like it's been cleaned at all since they upgraded the place. There's literally paint stains on everything like they didn't bother to put tape or a tarp down and the floors are also all scratched up?? Somehow?? Despite it being new??? And AGAIN there are dead bugs everywhere and some live ones, plus the counters are dirty and dusty, the dryer was full of dirt, and whoever installed the floor did a shit job and there are parts where it's cracked and you can see the floor underneath and if you walked on it you would get splinters.
It just sucks because otherwise we really like the place and the location, and tbh all of these issues are easily fixable and outside of them it's pretty nice and the AC works great, I love the windows and the walls are thick enough so my fiancé wont hear anything in the rest of the unit if his door is closed, we've just VERY CLEARLY been misled about the issues being fixed before we moved it and that sucks. We were really excited and now we might not only be out $400 in fees and move-in costs, but potentially pay to break the lease which we do not have the funds for, and need to hope we can find another place that meets our needs. Fingers crossed because the only other place we found has big metal gates blocking every entrance and ngl that just reeks of a fire safety issue.
I dont have high hopes about any other landlord being anymore forthcoming or honest tbh but we can hope this current one puts her money where her mouth is and fixes this shit so we can stay for the year we need to save up to move to a state that will be much better for my physical health and safety for us both as a queer couple.
We just really, really want to have a kid and we have the means and I'm turning 30 and my fiancé is turning 37 so like. We want to get on this already and we cannot do it where we currently live. Also this is a terrible place to live if you have a sun allergy.

We Are EP 4 Unhinged Tangent Thoughts
Finally! some good shits. this week Vibes the show finally let go of some of its dumb BL tropes. and let the boys being their extreamly cute and chaotic selfs with each other.
Ok i'm still not 100% or even 60% vibing with Phum and Peem but this ep made them much more tolerable. i think my biggest gripe with Phum as a character is that in the show full of earnest loveable dorks his tsundereness and assholedary (is this a real word???) was sticking out liked a sore thumb. so i'm happy that we learnt this ep that he and Toey knew each other and that he and Fang used to take care and protect Toey from bullying when they were kids (i called it! Toey mannerism and the way he talks definitely made him prime target for bullying.) its still not excuse Phum's behavior toward Peem but that + all the apologies he gave this ep soften him for me.
Tan is my new number one blorbo. throwing a party to just tell your friends that you're in love is very Mwah! and that VOICE! he did for toey at the party, crack the hell out of me. ok, how to explain this. so that voice both the deepness of it and the way the audio played gave a very specific old C dramas Thai dubbed feels. that it, thats was the joke. i really loved its but its probably don't translated fully to non thai speakers.
We only got crumbs for Pun and Chain this ep. but ahhhhhhh! baby pun is so cute i can't, he too god damn cute. as a dumb boy myself your brain leaking from reading too much books is so relatable. Chain and Pun relationship being more like a mother and her son than friends is kinda weird but i'm rolling with it. idk what thats say about me but idc, i loved this two too dang much.
And now for the stars of this ep Toey and Q🌟 blam blam blam!! 🌟so i was kinda not into this two as much as other people on here who go bananas for them. but this ep sold me, i'm now 100% a QToey boyie. the way Satang portray him with such earnestly and those forking puppy eyes finally broke me. look, look. i'm not gonna say that i didn't cringe at the way toey talks, and i felt bad for it after we learnt that he definitely got bullied as a kid. the scene in the park where Q asked Toey if being his nong rahat make him felt under any pressure. Fuck thats so sweet, my heart! Q care so much despite being a grumpy bitch and he god damn shows it. i loved this so much. cause not a lot of grumpy BL characters were balanced well with thier grumpiness and tenderness. most of the times relationships like this in other BLs felt very one sided, but not this one. i hope the show will explore more of what happened to Toey, but i'm not gonna get my hope up cause thats kinda don't fit the vibes of this show.
This ep gave me the Friendships and the cutenest and i'm full! now we only need the brothers to get rope into this queer friends group, hell Phum can bring his two hot friends and Toey can bring cute little JJ, and Ciize can be the token lesbian. make them all friends!!

Do you... Have any Flynn Rider headcannons..? From NIWL?
HI THERE YOU LOVELY PERSON OF COURSE I HAVE HCS FOR FLYNN I FUCKING LOVE FLYNN-
Flynn Rider (NIWL) Headcanons -
Flynn is queer and transmasc (according to Plu in their discord, Flynn actually had a late husband who used to work for Fazbear, though I'm unsure if this is still canon, but I personally like to think it is)
After he quit working at Wonderheart, Flynn actively refused to enter the Wonderheart building anymore, and any time he ever has to go there, it's just to talk to Zero or pick up Sova.
Flynn is the kind of guy to put his boots on your dash in your car.
He is actually really gentle and patient with kids despite seeming super intimidating.
Flynn doesn't like physical touch.
His love language is gift giving.
He’s a dog person.
He dresses mainly in a 80s rock aesthetic in his free time, and actively listens to punk rock, mullet rock, and classic rock. (The way I draw Flynn is directly inspired by my dad, so I'll admit, it is a bit self indulgent, but idk I love it)
Flynn has tons of piercings, namely an eyebrow piercing, a nose bridge piercing, and four ear piercings. They used to have gages too, but they stopped wearing them and let them close up and heal.
Flynn is the only Wonderheart worker that's taller than King. (King is 6'2")
Because of Hatter stabbing him in the arm so badly, Flynn hasn't been able to use the injured arm very much and had to get a fuck ton of stitches. He can barely carry stuff with that arm and it constantly hurts like hell.
Before Pluto realized how bad their injury was and after noticing Flynn hadn’t been at work in a bit, Pluto tried to get Flynn back into work only to immediately get a prompt "fuck you" from Flynn.
He is left handed, so when his arm was stabbed, he had to learn how to write with the other hand.
King and Flynn actually get along super well, with them being the grumpy + sunshine duo. Even though Flynn doesn't work with King anymore, they still see each other from time and frequently text and send each other voice memos.
King and Flynn once ran into each other at the mall when they both happened to be getting groceries. Flynn offered to help King find stuff and read their grocery list. In return, King held his groceries to take the strain off Flynn's arm.
King and Flynn have matching blue heart clips that King bought them.
Flynn does not like Iris too much because of his connection to Fazbear but tolerated working with him.
Flynn loves horror movies, with his favorite being Nightmare on Elm Street.
They can play the bass guitar, and are a decent singer.
Flynn was a guitarist in a band in highschool in the 90s.
Flynn has a shepherd dog named Max. Zero often dog sits him.
His main interests are DC Comics, horror movies, and psychology.
Brian and Flynn are neighbors and live in the same apartment building.
Before Flynn quit, he actually considered White Rabbit his favorite among the animatronics, which was saying a lot because he practically hated everyone else.
Zero, Flynn, and Sova all hang out as a trio a lot, and have a found family dynamic, with Sova and Zero seeing Flynn as a dad.
Flynn, even though he's not actually working at Wonderheart anymore, is always invited by Zero, Sova, and King to out-of-work hangouts.
Flynn would punch a transphobe in the face, especially if they messed with Zero or Sova.
Flynn is very intimidating and oftentimes Zero and Sova will hide behind him for scary dog privileges.
Flynn sometimes picks Sova up from work on his motorcycle. He always gives Sova his helmet, and constantly double-checks that they're comfortable.
Flynn lends Zero clothing sometimes, such as jackets after Cheshire ate most of his.
Zero asks Flynn for advice a lot since Flynn has "old man wisdom". Zero also genuinely looks up to Flynn and cares a lot about what Flynn has to say.
Zero and Flynn are both transmasc, with Flynn being an older trans man and Zero being a much younger, newly out trans guy. Zero got his top surgery very recently and even got a couple months off work to recover while Flynn got his surgery YEARS ago. They bond over it a lot. (I DID WRITE A ONESHOT ABOUT THIS ON AO3 IF YOU'RE INTERESTED: "Same Scars")
Flynn has a motorcycle that he named Joan.
Flynn has been trying to get Zero to get drumming lessons because Zero has a drumroll stim and he genuinely thinks he'd enjoy it.

Neopets/Skyrim Tarot: XX. Judgment
Judgment is a card depicting the Last Judgment aka Judgment Day, further emphasizing the fact that tarot came from Italy because come on, man. And people alternate naming it Judgment or Judgement, because both are correct; Judgment just happens to be the more common one. Typically, this is depicted as an angel blowing a trumpet over a family who are obviously dead and about to get yoinked up to Heaven.
This is also one of the most commonly changed cards in the tarot. One of my decks, the Gay Tarot, changes it into "Beyond Judgment" to portray the same feelings in queer men as the usual card does in Christians.
In these two decks, the card is not renamed, but the characters portray the same type of Judgment - the Judgment of someone who will bring villains or criminals to the court of law, a more powerful version of Justice focused on legal and mortal justice rather than cosmic justice. The difference between them is clear once we dive in, so let's take a closer look at our judges, shall we?

Judge Hog is a Blue Moehog who was born in 25 BN (aka 1974, meaning that he turns 51 years old this year, even though he will forever look and be 32 years old in the Neopedia because Neopets doesn't believe in linear time for character designs) and is the head of the Defenders of Neopia. The Defenders of Neopia are a worldwide organization of superheroes who protect Neopia from villains such as the Pant Devil and Iron Skeith, as seen in the card. It's unknown if Judge Hog founded the Defenders of Neopia or is just the current boss.
Judge Hog serves as a superhero bringing down villains, the chief logistical officer and mission control for when other superheroes get sent out, and also as their PR person doing public announcements and appearances for kids. He also lives in a gingerbread house. What a fantastically whimsical motherfucker despite being serious about his job. Truly evidence that you don't have to stop having fun even when you're doing important work.

Mjoll the Lioness is a Nord warrior and ex-adventurer currently living in Riften who is single-handedly trying to tackle the pervasive corruption in its streets and all the way up to the Jarl. She retired from adventuring after Aerin saved her life outside of a Dwemer ruin, but she will follow you if you recover her lost sword Grimsever.
Like Judge Hog, she is dedicated to the protection of others and the clearing of corruption from the streets. Unlike him, she's a one-woman show in a city where the Thieves Guild operate in broad daylight and the real ruler in the city doesn't need to work that hard to puppet the current Jarl (or to take her place if the Imperial Legion takes Riften at any point) and have the city's guards in her pocket (or pay a visit to the Dark Brotherhood). She doesn't have much in the way of outside help, considering the first thing that happens when someone new comes to the city is a shakedown from the guards outside.
Honestly, considering she's literally a Skyrim character, she makes perfect sense for the Judgment card here. Her whole schtick is that she passes judgment on whether or not people are corrupt and strikes against that corruption when and where she can. (However, this isn't reflected in her in-game morality, which allows her to tolerate the player doing any crime...of course, that could be a fascinating look into her internal hypocrisy and justification. More than likely, though, it's a programming oversight because this is Bethesda we're talking about.)
If I were assigning an Elder Scrolls character for a broader deck, I...have no idea who I would pick. Honestly, any Daedra, Aedra, or other divine being could fit this card, as they all represent Judgment in their own way with their own distinct flavor. For some reason my brain keeps throwing Malacath at me though, so what the hell, sure.

i've seen some blogs i follow say that misandry isn't real and men aren't opressed for being men and honestly the former doesn't sit right with me. misandry is not systemic like misogyny but your answers about your experiences prove that it does indeed happen in queer spaces. masculine queer men have to prove that they aren't a threat by making themselves a walking gay caricature.
Hell men aren't just oppressed in female-dominant "cultures" (like queer spaces) but they're also oppressed by patriarchy and, in some ways, legally. They're just not oppressed in the same way women are.
Men are considered inherently stronger/better, which means women can't compete with us, which means any time a man is a victim of a woman it's automatically his fault for ALLOWING himself to be. How are you, a man, gonna let a woman hit you? (It's because even if you defend yourself, and you make the call the police, YOU'LL be arrested as the aggressor. It's your word against hers, and in domestic violence they will always favour hers.)
We are simultaneously shit on for defending ourselves, because how dare a man ever put his hands on a woman even in self defence, but at the same time if we DON'T do that, it's our fault for being abused because we didn't "resist" our abuser. This is the male version of being asked about what you were wearing when you were victimised. The only way men are ALLOWED to be recognised as victims is if you're a child and your abuser is an adult man. If it's an adult woman? Hell, kid, you're lucky.
A lot of people think men can't be raped—either because we "always want sex", or because we're expected to physically resist our rapist and win. Contrast this to women, who are told to piss themselves or scream, or just take it because maybe if you do your rapist won't kill you. (If you ask me a firearm makes a helluva equaliser, but that's a conversation for another day.) Legislation even reflects this—in the UK, for example, according to UK law, it isn't possible for a women to rape a man unless she penetrates him with an object. A woman violently raping a man, even a child, by restraining him or otherwise and forcing him into penetrating her, is merely considered sexual assault and carries a much lighter sentence than rape.
And that really sucks for someone like me, who was raped by two women while I was drunk. Who didn't even realise I was raped until a mate explained it to me, because it's normalised that women can have sex with a drunk man and that's not considered rape—not even if he blacks out and asks them to stop when he wakes up, and they keep going while he blacks out again. Like what happened to me. An even bigger kicker—a man is always considered responsible in sex. So if a drunk man and a drunk woman both agree to sex while both are intoxicated, legally HE is raping HER despite both being unable to actually consent.
This in addition to men being expected to be sole providers for a home by society—look at the current rise of women looking for a sugar daddy or red-flagging a man because he only has one car instead of two, or of men never being favoured in family court even when the mother is unable to care for the children or is abusive, or how women will weaponise visitation against fathers for spite because they know the court will side with her regardless of how good of a father he is, or the lack of men's shelters, or how DV shelters won't take women with minor children who are boys older than 12 so a woman has to either go back to her abuser with her children or leave her sons behind alone with an abusive father, of people laughing at the male loneliness epidemic and treating it like a good thing/deserved reckoning instead of recognising it as a warning sign for a flood of lost teens and young men drifting down the Andrew Tate or rapist incel misogyny pipeline, of people laughing at men's mental health month posts and outright encouraging men to commit suicide under them while men already statistically commit suicide at a higher rate than women...
Men are oppressed in some ways, I'd argue some of those ways are systemic, but no one talks or cares about it. There was a feminism wave in the 90s of "patriarchy harms everyone", which is true, but now we're on a different wave of "men are biologically evil", which is absolutely batshit fucking insane and helps no one. Bioessentialism helps no one. (Plus it's transphobic and intersexist.)
Anyway I'm gonna go back to working on my ute now.

23.5 Ep 11 Stray Thoughts
Last week, the girls had problems. Aylin isolated after repeated negative social encounters with others and bullying, and it took the entire cast to bring her back into the fold. Sun and Ongsa are also having problems. Sun is unhappy with Ongsa trying to keep them closeted, and also struggling with her desire to go on this study abroad program because it will keep them apart for a year.
I’m glad Sun is finally getting mad about all of this, because she hasn’t exactly felt like a grounded person for most of the show.
Yes, Sun! Read her! She has never asked for your input and it’s a bad look!
Oh hell yeah give her that bracelet back! It’s over! First breakup in a really beautiful park on a nice day. Crushing.
Despite how awkward it was to get here, I’m glad Alpha was able to comfort her sister.
Back to the dorky boys and their crushes.
Luna is so unabashed in her affection for Aylin. I like that there’s no doubt about how Luna feels. Also love that Chaoren is also direct in telling Ton no.
My boy Mawin finally said it! It’s a good thing Ford is good with his eyes, because he’s making up for weeks of frustration with Tinh.
AJ is clearly having a good time in this role. I’m having fun with Chaoren steadily crushing Ton.
I’m suddenly into this version of Sun that is demanding Ongsa respect her personhood.
“You love me but you don’t understand or respect me,” is actually a really solid conflict. Why did it take us so long to arrive here? I can see the build to this but damn it took us a long time to get here.
I love the parents being clear they love and support Ongsa, but I do wish we'd stop pretending like queer kids don't have valid reasons to closet themselves. I appreciate mom saying she doesn't want Ongsa to lie or hide, and dad for saying to stop worrying about other people.
Ongsa, where is your boombox? Sun also told you to stop acting like a character in a movie or drama.
Oh good, Ongsa went to the Lito Rodriguez school of queer apology.
Chatting with @ginnymoonbeam about how this conflict would have been best right after the Earth reveal, and then they could have tackled the other problems.
I love Luna teasing Aylin in front of the family, and then bonding with the uncle. Great stuff.
I like Aylin giving the first kiss after making sure Luna didn't kiss her when she was faking sleep.
This is a good episode for both sets of parents. Big fan of Sun's parents urging her to work through conflicts and not deprioritize herself.
Leaving them to sort what their future looks like is not a terrible place to stop.
Wow, I wish some of this stuff had come sooner. This is the most that Sun has felt like a person in almost three months. Aylin and Luna have been solid and easy to follow the whole time, and I like how they reinforced how chill the parents are about the girls being queer. The current conflict for Sun and Ongsa works, but damn was it a mess to get here.

Angel Dust time!

Spider man, but ya know not that Spider-man.
So there have been several controversies with Angel and I’ll talk about the ones I’ve seen. Most of them boil down to being pretty nonsensical if you think for 10 seconds in all honesty.
And a general warning that this will get into triggering topics because Angel’s character revolves around some heavy stuff.

Trans Angel Dust Controversy
So first things first Angel is not trans as far anything been stated. If you want headcannon him as such go for it! And second if he was trans I don’t really see a problem with it. People’s biggest issue that I’ve seen is because of his chest fluff making him look busty, and it’s really a non-issue. No matter if you where the ‘Angel is a trans man’ or ‘Angel is a trans woman’ side of this argument.
Trans people are allowed to not look visibly cis, to say Angel is transphobic while thinking he’s trans because he’s got a ‘bust’ is more transphobic than anything else. People don’t need to pass or they can just be happy with that feature. Looking Cis shouldn’t be everyone’s goals.
He’s Feminine so he’a a gay stereotype.
Yes/no, if anything I see him as more androgynous personally. the most feminine thing about him is that he wears pink, but also being a feminine man isn’t a bad thing. It’s not bad to shine light on the more feminine men in our community, femme men exist.
I also think him being pink and more femme leaning has directly to do with his story don’t forget he died in the 1940s an era not to long ago where simply being gay could instantly be a death sentence. On top of that he’s the child of the Mafia who are also notoriously homophobic.
I think him being more femme in hell, and physically being pink is for to reasons. It’s A something he was probably deeply insecure about when he was alive and B in hell most people don’t care about that so he’s now gotten a chance to embrace his queerness.
I think that will end up tying into why the deal with Valentino even happened in the first place, the tough guy mafia kid embrace his sexuality he’s always had to suppress and thinks he can handle anything since he was mafia when alive. But I think he was fresh in in hell when it happened he didn’t understand yet how binding demon deals are.
The Poison controversy
So this one is complicated and people’s very varied response to it speaks volume. There is a bit where it’s just people not understanding how this sort of thing develops and other are just victims reactions to the same thing can be very different.
So I’m speaking on this in a weird tone I am not a direct victim of SA however my dad is a rapist and mother was his victim so I have trauma relating to SA and have seen an SA victim at her worst and getting better. Just to explain that I am not just pulling stuff out of my ass here. I have different but complex related trauma.
So do I think poison is bad SA rep, no I don’t. Do I think the song can be triggering absolutely, but the episode does come with a warning which is all someone should have to ask for when dealing with these topics.
The scenes actually showing SA in the song are very brief and they all cutoff before you can really see much happening and then switch to Angel dancing in his stage. The song itself despite the pop sound is very depressing if you really listen to it. Kind of in a way similar to “pumped up kicks” which if you don’t know is a popular very cheery sounding song about school shootings.
How I see the song the song and I think is the intended way for the song to be interrupted is that Angel is both spiraling and dissociating. Remember that night Valentino was being extra hard on Angel more than usual and I think that broke him. Dissociating is something the brain does to try and protect itself. Where your brain basically goes hey you’re in a bad situation let’s completely ignore that at any cost. I also think it’s directly referencing Angels mask because he does pretend to enjoy it all as for himself to not get hurt more than he already is. Which is a very realistic depiction.

There is also another disturbing way to interpret it, that I think is horrific and that is up until the end of the song where we see Angel really break down, what if the song isn’t just a song for the audience but one actually physically being performed as a in universe music video. What if Valentino as punishment to Angel is making him sing this song about how much this is hurting Angel to sell to his hungry fans. I wouldn’t put it past Valentino.
That also another thing at the end of the song Angel is going into a panic attack and you can hear his voice breaking and the music becoming more somber. The dissociation is broken the mask is falling and Angel is breaking down. Angel is honestly one of the best depictions of an SA victim I’ve ever seen. And yes some scenes with him made me uncomfortable, but that’s the point, that’s the horror of his situation that he can’t escape. And that’s also why he’s become such a comfort to so many people.
Which leads me to the next part.
Angel Dust’s flirty comment problem
A lot of people think Angel is bad rep because of his constant flirty comments, sex jokes, and literally throwing himself at people like Husk, but again this is a realistic depiction of how some people react to being SA’d especially in a long term situation.
Angel is Hypersexual his brain has been rewired where to protect itself it now has normalized that behavior. Does that mean it’s alright when he pushes peoples buttons in that way, absolutely not but it does make sense.
And it’s shown in show how uncomfortable it makes Husk, but Husk also recognizes that it is a mask something Angel is to afraid to admit. It also makes sense how Angel throws himself at people it’s a mix of trying to take back his power his sexuality and that ‘If he consents no matter what he can’t be hurt again’ mindset. He is a very realistic depiction of an SA victim.
Why do people think Angel is bad rep?
So for one everyone’s situation in what trauma does to the brain is different, someepeople become hypersexual, some people shut down, some people become violent to scare people off, some people become so scared that can’t leave there house. Trauma varies and I think part of why some victims see him as being bad rep is simply because that’s not how their trauma manifested, but I think he’s important we rarely see a victim shown like this and so many people who responded to their trauma in a similar way to him now have a character that they take comfort in.
There is also this thing in media that’s called ‘the perfect victim’ where in a lot of writing victims are written in a very specific very structured way that anything outside of that is considered a bad victim. This directly parallels real life where if you aren’t in tears every second, if you wore something that could be seen as provocative people will say you aren’t a real victim. And I’ve seen people say that exact thing with Angel, I’ve seen people say he’s not a victim because he signed the contract. It’s a mirror on how victims are treated.
There is also something to be said about Angel being a male victim. Male victims are rarely represented and rarely taken seriously. I think that’s also reflecting in how people are viewing Angel. I do think if Angel’s character was a woman he would be treated differently by people that are both fans and haters of the show.
What do I want to see from Angel in the future
This section is just stuff I really want to see from Angel in the future.
-I want more screen time of Angel and his pet pig, we barely see his pet until the end of the series and I think that’s a little weird.
-Now that Angels mask is falling a bit with Husk I want to see Angel open up more in a calmer less sexualized way
-I want to see Angels trauma get in the way of his relationship with Husk. I think a great way they could take this with Angel being scared of hurting Husk the same way he has been hurt. That’s personally something I struggle with and I think that would be amazing to see. Trauma does weird stuff to peoples brain.
-I want to a flashback where we get to see a human Angel and how he interacts with his mob family due to his sexuality being rejected.
In conclusion, does Angel’s representation make you feel uncomfortable does it make you feel gross? Good. That’s the point.
