Super awesome thing about derma is how it’ll take you way longer to get ready bc every time you look in the mirror you can’t stop yourself from popping one or more of your acne spots and then you have to hold a bit of paper towel to it for like 5-10 minutes to stop the bleeding, and if you didn’t get them all at once, once you’re done dealing with one round, you go back to the mirror to try getting ready again, and the cycle repeats 🥲

Dermadventures ✨

So I changed my dermatologist, again. Cuz the last one I went to the past 2 months was not working good at all.

Anyways, I thought that the Dr's tone was a bit aggressive. Turns out it was just the shock reaction. Cuz she's like : what's your problem, and I took out my last blood test results and all the prescriptions the other Dr gave me. And she's started to explain what's going on and she was talking with a hard tone Bec the stiff the other Dr prescriped were horrible, according to her he gave me 4x the dosage of a certain med and the creams he prescribed were all wrong for my skin. and she explained the steps I should take and stuff, I feel like she's gonna be great. I have high hopes for this one :3

honestly i think that internet lingo falls into a couple of really major pitfalls that i feel like people tend to just completely uncritically parrot bc they saw it used in what they saw as a funny way once. like for one AAVE is just sort of. constantly appropriated and turned into a joke in a way that causes AAVE to be seen as a non serious/real dialect of english which is so unspeakably racist i really don't what to even tell you if you haven't picked up how much that happens by now.

and also i think the other part is that it tends towards being incredibly ableist (shizoposting, delusional, trauma bonding, infodumping, narcissist) in a way that not only demeans the target of the ableism it also creates a false understanding of what words mean and make it all that much harder for people to recognize and take these things seriously.

like, suddenly, delusional becomes something that's just being in denial about reality, and narcissist becomes some kind of subhuman monster label, and gaslighting becomes indistinguishable from someone lying sometimes
