As a fan of Steven Universe, She-Ra, Utena and The Owl House, I am ready to call out her garbage hot-takes but at the same I am aware of her long, vile history of sexual abuse and I will fight her so that her victims get justice.
So yes, I can walk and chew gum at the same time.
You asked for a source on what Courtney said, here is the source: https://www.reddit.com/r/youtubedrama/comments/1glw2qf/courtney_peet_lily_orchards_sister_calls_out/
Why thank you very much!
Courtney sure has a point though
Lily is in a weird spot as most of the people cirtical of her DO acknowledge her allegations Sai has admonished her about her allegations multiple times in multiple videos Joons ENTIRE video exists
I guess people can have issues with people making #content but I also see this as one of those cases where its
Why can't people do both? In the way of saying "wow you just suck at everything, from ya job to your ability to not commit crimes"

not exactyl a fan how people spin things to say you should never call out abusers and bad actors online ever due to this and that fault with callouts. especially not a fan of people saying even if the accusations were true they shouldn't be called out for this and that reason. the "tumblr callout" as it stands is 9 times out of 10 an anon going "my coworkers cousin's brother in law heard that this person saw user @-" and only the remaining 1 is actually credible with well established evidence, documentation and testimony of victims.
transfems being falsely called out over things they havent done is horrible and inexcusable and directly benefits actual abusers and predators by making accusations of them less believable. its also blatantly a tactic to socially isolate them because a lot of people are just looking for a reason to inflict hate unto transfems. we have to work on fact checking accusations before spreading them, not believe anons without proof and make sure the information presented isnt distorted in some way. and maybe solve the rampant transmisogyny problem that causes people to lie about things like this in the first place
regardless. there is the 1/10 time the wolf actually shows up. some people, especially popular individuals, should be warned and informed of. toonimals comes to mind. without site moderations doing something about them, aside from warning people and deplatforming them there isnt another option besides letting them get off scot-free. this is especially damning if they have a habit of establishing contact with people to exploit and abuse them. doing nothing will just lead to more victims. but again, this cant happen via she says he says, these accusations have to have evidence and credibility. if you send an anon "hey this person you reblogged did xyz" there better be a link to some form of information included.
callout culture sucks. callouts are sometimes necessary. false callouts only help abusers and harm innocent people. think before you reblog stuff

warning: terf alert
saw a terf in the transandrophobia tag, doing the usual terf shit of trying to manipulate young trans people into hating each other and/or detransitioning. I am only posting the url so people can block and avoid this person. do not send any hate or give them engagement. deplatform terfs who try to use our own pain and culture against us.
screenshots below of terf shit. I wouldn't recommend scrolling for too long if you're going to confirm it's real. and again, don't engage with this person at all, even on anon. you're only giving them ammo. don't do anything beyond blocking and reporting.
and a reminder: trans women and transfems do not have a 'sexual predator identity'. this is 100% terf bullshit, trying to divide us so we're weaker targets to conquer one by one. I do not associate with this person, I don't know anyone in my circles who would want to associate with this person. do not listen to anything they say. avoid them.

So, Liz @lizcourserants and I are collecting receipts on F8 and his harassment mob to warn people about them. Too many people are unaware of how much damage they do. I also encourage others to report any behaviour that breaks TOS (there is a lot) to at least slightly further the attempt to mitigate their harm, beyond just compiling this record of their shitty behaviour. Deplatform toxic individuals. Report bigoted and harassing tweets so marginalised people don't have to see their hateful diatribes. They are actively making pro ship spaces hostile to the very people that made them in the first place. Any examples of harassment, bigotry (especially insinuating queer people are groomers or predators), etc would be appreciated.
If that group can kick me, an acc with 14k+ followers, off twitter based on false reports, they can essentially run wild and terrorise the pro ship community wherever they like. They already grift off our efforts to spread awareness about the damage censorship does and give us a bad name, and frankly I think we should say enough is enough and not let them get any more of a foothold in coopting our spaces. I think we should make a concerted effort to distance ourselves from these types of people (bigots, typically altright leaning) as much as possible and kick them out of any pro ship spaces. They clearly do serious damage, and as a community founded by queer fandomgoers, they're blatantly disrespecting the very people that previously have gone to bat for them. They bite the hand that feeds, so to speak, and they'll continue to do so until we separate ourselves as much as possible.
Imho we can do this by raising awareness about what they've done and reporting their harassment where we can. They get platforms by having their worst behaviour go under the radar, unreported and under-discussed, and we need to stop that. I'm aware the internet isn't a safe space, but pro shipping as a community is supposed to (and always has been previously) be by and for marginalised people who wish to express themselves through art in an accepting, welcoming environment.
I'd appreciate any boosts here. If you want to get this to twitter or anyone else outside of this website who's been a victim of that group of harassers, please feel free to screenshot and share as well.

This year’s Pride Month has rarely seemed so pointless. After all, only the truly shameless in the LGBT activist set could feel any pride in 2024 – a year in which the rainbow-flag fliers’ betrayal of gay youngsters in the name of gender ideology was laid bare.
The publication of the Cass Review in April exposed the scandal of the NHS’s treatment of ‘gender confused’ kids. It showed how the NHS’s Gender Identity Development Services (GIDS) subjected troubled, often gay youngsters to life-altering hormones, drugs and treatments. Yet when these same-sex-attracted young people needed a gay movement, it failed them. Stonewall, its principal representative, actively cheered on those encouraging gay youngsters to believe they were born in the wrong body. Former Stonewall CEO Ruth Hunt even warned parents that half their gender-distressed children would commit suicide without puberty blockers. At the same time, leading sections of the gay movement turned on anyone questioning the trans agenda.
You won’t see any reflection on this betrayal of gays and lesbians during Pride Month. There will be no recognition that by embracing gender ideology, the gay-rights movement of today has undermined the gay rights of tomorrow. Instead, an unholy alliance of corporates, trade unions and parading gendercrats will spend weeks celebrating their supposed virtue, while remaining oblivious to the absurdity and growing unpopularity of the movement they represent.
Don’t let the ubiquitous Pride flag fool you over the coming weeks into thinking this is a successful movement. How strong can a ‘gay rights’ movement be if it has allowed its next generation to be chemically castrated? How strong can a movement be that has allowed lesbians like Kathleen Stock or Julie Bindel to be deplatformed, harassed and sacked for standing up to gender ideology?
The new ‘Progress Pride’ flag tells the story of the movement’s corruption. A new trans chevron makes an ugly incursion from the left, with an ‘intersex-inclusive’ purple circle placed on top of it (despite some intersex activists asking not to be included). This is more of a logo now and less of a flag. It symbolises the hostile takeover of the gay-rights movement by gender-identity ideology.
Pride was once our answer to shame. The riposte to being kicked out of your home for coming out. The retort to everyday incidents of homophobia, which are now thankfully a thing of the past in the UK and the West.
Today’s Pride is different. It is not a response to a sense of shame. It is a false pride born of shamelessness. A pride fuelled by the self-righteous embrace of the cause of trans rights. Think of Stonewall CEO Nancy Kelley calling lesbians ‘sexual racists’ in 2021 for not wanting to have sex with biological males. Think of those happily suppressing moderate gay voices for warning that ‘conversion-therapy bans’ simply criminalise ordinary therapy for gender-confused youth. Or how Stonewall did everything in its power to hound gender-critical barrister Allison Bailey out of a job.
If one must take pride in anything during Pride Month, I prefer to find it in the spirited and steadfast work of women and gay people in the UK who, against all the odds, have taken on gender ideology and its champions within the gay movement. Organisations like LGB Alliance and the Gay Men’s Network, which I direct, have done sterling work in defending gay rights from the predations of gender ideology. It has been tough. We have had to battle against an elite consensus. It wasn’t that long ago that both Theresa May and, later, Sir Keir Starmer were promising Pink News that gender self-identification would become law. Now, in part thanks to the efforts of gay-rights activists and gender-critical feminists, the sitting and shadow secretaries of state for health and social care are committed to implementing the findings of the Cass Review.
Pride, the holy month of the rainbow, is now a thoroughly rudderless affair. Its foolish embrace of the specious cause of trans rights has cost it dear. This increasingly silly party now takes place against the backdrop of a generation-defining medical scandal that Pride and its backers endorsed. Even Stonewall seems cowed. It certainly seems less keen to pronounce that transing a two-year-old is a good idea than it was just a few years ago.
Pride should parade its way into irrelevance. The gay-rights activism of the future will need to look very different.

Crazy how Tumblr used to be known as the social justice, blue hair, and pronouns, screaming feminist website, but nowadays if you call someone a predator on here you'll get accused of trying to deplatform leftist blogs

The other day I was watching a stream segment about a Certain Internet-Infamous Alleged Abuser/Predator, known for, among other things, having written an Infamous Darkfic About Magic Horses. This person’s Sister/Alleged Abuse Victim was in chat, and I have mixed feelings about their sister. Overall, I support her coming forward and working to get her Abuser deplatformed and/or prosecuted, but personally, I disagree with her vehemently anti stance with regards to fiction. I can understand why she’s triggered by subjects like incest being portrayed in fiction, and how fucked up it is that her Abuser drew her like Leyley Graves, but she’s an anti in general and I just can’t get behind that part. But that’s not the point.
The POINT is that the sister said something in chat about how her Abusive Sister could totally be arrested for her Underage Magic Horse Darkfic because a person in Nova Scotia (where she and her Abuser are from/might still live) was convicted of “fictional CSEM.” And the first thing I want to say is… AAAAUUUUUUGH! This isn’t even the sister’s fault for misuse of the term CSEM (I only blame her for being an anti) but rather the Canadian government misusing the term CSEM. After all, wasn’t CSEM coined in part to DISTINGUISH between fiction and reality?
So yeah, the Canadian laws piss me off because that tells me an entire country’s laws are formulated on the wrong premise— the Bad that comes from CSEM is the CSA and the perpetuation of the market for it, NOT from the thoughts in the creator or viewer’s brain vis-a-vis said media. And if there’s one thing that pisses me off, it’s an incorrect understanding of why Bad Things Such as CSA are Bad. And this Sister and the Canadian government are both demonstrating that misunderstanding.
I still want the Abusive One to be prosecuted, but I’d rather it be for ACTUAL CRIMES AGAINST REAL PEOPLE (or animals, if that turns out to be true) and not for a technically-good outcome of a poorly-formulated law because she’s allegedly done a lot worse than write cartoon horse incest.
Something also tells me that this 'fictional csem' was not the sole conviction.

Lily: “They've turned to harassing my friends and filling their inbox with garbage, and trying very hard to destroy my financial security. I’m always under constant threat by stalkers and they are only out for my blood. I would probably unalive myself in an instant if I didn’t have people that loved me in my life. RIGHT Mikaila??”
Literally Everybody Else: “We’re literally just fucking documenting all of the horrific shit that you do and say publicly on REGULAR. FUCKING. BASIS. And WHAT the FUCK did you just openly say that you would do if you didn’t have Mikaila, Ginger, Lolo, etc, in your life??!!!!!!”
alright. that. that right there is emotional abuse. textbook manipulation. "honey, if you ever leave me then i'm going to kill myself. you're the only thing that it's keeping me alive, my life depends on you"... that's absolutely an abhorrent thing to say, in private just as much as in public. yanderedev used similar tactics to stop developers from creating competition to his games and to silence his victims. literally no one here even talked about "destroying financial security". we talk about LO being deplatformed because she has already shown that she can't be trusted with a platform full of minors and vulnerable people. she already had her chance to prove that she was a good influence and failed, so now we want her to stop being an influence. she'll be fine regardless of that. maybe not with as much money to keep buying Gardevour plushies, but daddy will take care of her like he already offered to her during stream. even if we didn't had the words of Courtney testifying how LO has always been daddy's girl, we still would know that she has that safety net because she already told us. i don't want LO dead. there's no accountability or redemption in death. i just want her to stop hurting people and deal with the consequences of her actions. but for someone that never had to do that all through out her life and always had daddy coming right along to help her out, i guess that might as well be as terrifying as death itself. i don't even hate LO either. i think she's too dull of a person and if it wasn't for the possibility of her abusing even more people, i'd have gotten bored of talking about her a long time ago. her takes are boring. her videos are not even funny. there's nothing especial or noteworthy about LO than the fact that she's a predator and a abuser.

Like it's absolutely important to call out and use your platform to deplatform known predators and abusers, but what impact is that going to have when you've platformed abusers and predators before? What integrity does your word hold?

Oz has raised more than 30k to avoid illuminaughtii wrongfully foreclosing his house.
We did it, but there's so much more to be done. Blair is still posting on Youtube, despite committing a white-collar crime and abusing Oz.
So, my dear followers, I have a task for you. Advise Youtube and Patreon that they're harboring a criminal, deplatform her. Do not let her get away with the stunt she tried to pull.
Oh, and Blair, didn't you harbor child p*rn and p*dophiles on your discord? Isn't that a bit hypocritical considering you tried to blame The Click for having a p*do that had been instantly banned off his own discord? Not to mention you're so butthurt that you're buying subs and comments because you know no one will touch your abusive ass with a 50 foot pole.
You're done, Blair Zoń. You're done. I'll make sure of it.

anyways its been on my mind and yeah im just gonna spit out my thoughts here due to the vague ffxiv connection
i think its dumb as fuck that a literal harmless pop song parody about attractive fictional women, thats over 2 years old by this point, generated so much actual hate that people felt the need to?? send death threats and doxx?
like maybe its just me, and i know Cringe Culture has always been an issue online, but im getting reaaally tired of this ironyposting shit. like theres no arguement its bullying at best and literal harassment at worst. jo didnt do anything wrong but people are so caught up in "BUT ITS CRINGE" that it gets to the extreme of people actually wanting him gone or dead like its fucking crazy. you have literal predators that deserve to be run off the internet and deplatformed but no lets all harass the guy who made a slightly corny animation i guess? hes a good guy and makes genuinely good guide videos but i guess people dont care about that if it means finding something to point and laugh at in a qrt.
all the shit he got is unjustified and rooted in cringe culture and toxic masculinity/homophobia. its 2007-tier type "joking" of unironically using gay as an insult again and associating it with "beta male soy cuck" shit.
and yeah i dont think its a coincidence that this uptick in cringe culture is heavily targeting lgbtqa+ people and very vocal allies like him.
idk call me terminally online too but you know im right

I do think call outs are generally bad but I also think that there's nuance because if I was in a community of reptile keepers and one of them turned out to, oh I don't know, be a predator, I would want others to know to deplatform them from the community and ostracize them for said predatory behavior. this is a real thing that happened.
I think call outs over kindrama, RPs, general disagreements, is stupid.

unfortunately i think the fact that this went public at all was because there was an intent to deplatform george/dteam as a whole. caiti refers to george as her abuser and implies sexual assault, something we now know is untrue given georges retelling, though caiti may reflect on the events differently. this was of course spurred on by shelbys own story, where many female ccs were coming out with stories of abuse by large male ccs. i can see caiti believing the version of events where george is a predator and must be deplatformed, and how he is a danger to others. its not unlikely to me that her friends may have influenced her in how she thinks about it, and im almost certain that her friends responses are fueled purely because they hate the dteam and want them gone. frankly, i find it vile that they would use the good that shelby has done for their own biased agenda. theyre only hurting other victims by doing this.

Hi so when are you going to report all the people you accuse of being pedophiles and zoophiles to the cops? When are you going to rescue the animals and children in their lives from these supposed dangerous predators? Or are you just a fucking pussy who doesn't really believe the bullshit you spout?
This is such a funny and misguided critique of me because I have in fact reported people for drawings of children in sexual situations and a few have gotten arrested and the rest have at least been deplatformed. I don’t make it my life’s mission to seek out pedophiles and lock them up because I don’t really want to look at their gross content at all and this isn’t really my job.
Bestiality is also not illegal federally, it’s considered a state issue in the US. There are states that consider sex with a dog or horse or any animal that can do such with a human without getting physically harmed completely legal as long as it’s not done publicly. There are videos of people having sex with dogs and horses that are openly posted online and I can’t report them because it’s not illegal where they are.
To that end, most examples of real footage of bestiality is not illegal meaning of course that drawings of it aren’t either. So in short it isn’t really something I could act on outside of calling their place of work or any college they go to. I could do that to Agro but doxxing is in most cases illegal and would fall under harassment and cyberstalking, which if I’m being honest is probably the reason you want me to lol.
I’m not falling for it, anon. You’re just looking for a loophole to let Agro sue me because you’re either bitter or hungry for drama but either way I’m not doing it. I’m also not going to just post his address, come on. I only do that to people like Steven Crowder and Ben Shapiro.

how is one supposed to let people know about legitimate predators (ex. toonimal, squimpus) though. because those were both people with large following, many followers of whom who minors. how do you protect those people from being preyed on when they don't know they follow a creep?
See, you're probably not gonna like the answer.
You talk to them.
One on one. On an individual basis, leveraging your personal connection with them and putting your name and face to what you're saying. That way you will only speak about it to people you know and trust, and you will only speak up about things you know for a fact.
That's the thing about callouts, yeah? They don't work. They're ostensibly there to deplatform abusers and terrible people, but in practice they're just vectors of harassment.
Here's what people do when they see a callout in my experience having been online more than 25 years in one way or another:
Nothing. Because they're desensitized by the overuse of horrific things for shock value and the watering down of terms for the sake of internet drama, and therefore they just assume it's another round of nonsense. Or because they don't know anyone involved, so it's meaningless to them.
They harass the accuser, because they know the abuser or are fans of them, and they know nothing about the accuser, and there's no personal connection with anyone platforming the callout so they assume it's in bad faith (which is not unfounded, considering a not insignificant number of callouts are made in bad faith).
They harass the abuser, because they firmly believe there's no other avenue for justice or for them to face any kind of consequences for what they did, which is, by the nature of internet harassment, virtually indistinguishable from any other campaign of internet harassment and therefore laughably easy to reframe as prosecution, which in turn only allows the abuser to expand their platform and further launder the public image.
They turn the whole situation into a fucking football rivalry. Each side is seen as ambiguous and unreliable and then people take turns yelling at each other and using adherence to one or the other as a signifier of group belonging which encourages unnuanced, knee-jerk escalation that focuses on scrutinizing all parts and trying to find any kind of morally questionable or unpolished aspect of them, as a person to justify a deluge of vitriol so they can reroute into either 2 or 3, depending on their findings.
None of those materially protects marginalized people or deter abusers from continuing their bad behavior.
So called-whisper networks/campaigns have a long history protecting marginalized people in a hostile world that seeks to hurt them.
That's what believing the victims means, btw.
If someone tells you they've been victimized, you focus on them. What they need and how you can best support them. Help them fund raise, buy them groceries, offer a place of privacy and support to unload their burden. And because you believe them, you reach out to people you know personally and leverage that personal connection to say "hey, someone I trust has shared this with me, and so I'm asking you to step away/put some distance for your own safety."
It's a gross conversation to have. It's uncomfortable and inconvenient. But it's supposed to be. You put yourself at risk of people turning around and deciding they don't believe you, or demanding that you provide proof, which you might not have because what you were told was told in confidence. It will ruin friendships because it turns out you do not share the same principles as people you thought you did.
That's good. That's intended.
I don't want people who don't believe victims in my circles. That's how support networks are formed. That's how railroads work.
You wanna stop abusers with big platforms? Go small. Granular. Weave a web to catch survivors. Because you will find survivors. You will find people who were brutalized and kept silent because they didn't know how to trust. They didn't know what was happening and they didn't know they could speak up. It is grueling, tiresome, dangerous work.
But it actually works, and it centers on the victims and potential victims, instead of clout-chasing and grandstanding and performative gestures to let the world know you care, but not enough to actually put your name and your face behind it.
