So. Today I got another refund (from Etsy) and my boss offered to pay my lunch at a reasonably posh place my work colleagues and I went to. She also took me there. So either the Deneb Algedi oil is considerably picking up steam or all the Jupiter/Sun magic I did years ago is still in effect.

Venus and Saturn
The fair maiden (very bright Venus) and the old man (dimmer Saturn to the right) walking into the sunset together- along with a day-old Moon. The star to the left of Venus is Delta Capricorni, also known as Deneb Algedi- "the tail of the goat". I took these from the second story of a friend's home, and the second pic showed a lot of the room behind me, but also you could see the Earthshine on the Moon's disk easily.

Many people talk about...
...how nobody in the Inner Sphere seems to have fun these days. This is probably true, but only because all the fun humanly possible to be had already was had, during the Jihad, on the sparsely inhabited world of Deneb Algedi III (less popular sibling to tourist trap Deneb Algedi II). The planet was nowhere especially important but was on the way to a lot of places that were very important; thus, before the Jihad began in earnest, ComStar established an innocuous outpost there, the better to serve as a supply depot.
The garrisoned Com Guard had nowhere to run, once they began receiving orders in the name of blessed Blake and hearing reports of wholesale slaughters. The war was on every front. Two weeks after the Jihad began, the commander gathered them all in the mess hall and drew the proverbial line in the sand. The vote was unanimous.
For the next few years, they faithfully dispatched loads and loads of ammunition and supplies to the warriors of Blake...after, for every six crates that came in, taking one down to the firing range and unloading it, whether small arms or 'mech guns. Then they re-sealed the boxes to look un-tampered-with and put them back on the palette to ship out. On a record day, more shells were fired for 'target practice' than had been in Kerensky's liberation of Terra.

Stop motion animated card stock puppets on glass multiplane stand.
Music by @musicah0lic
The brightest star Delta Capricorn is in the goat's tail. Also known as Deneb Algedi it is a four-star system with an eclipse that can be seen with the naked eye.
Capricorn represents a creature that is a blend of fish and goat. The Greeks associate the constellation with Pan, the god of nature. Some associate Capricorn with Amalthaea, the mythical goat that acted as a foster mother to Zeus as an infant.
Capricorn is the 10th sign of the zodiac

My Current Eclipse Remediation Plan:
The whole toaster thing feels like the warning shot for me so I’m going to remediate this one pretty heavily.
So this evening we will be:
- Sweeping the whole apartment
- Using a cooling herbal incense to smoke cleanse the apartment while praying
- Filling a spray bottle with water and talismanic materia (Deneb Algedi and possibly Asclepius from Sphere + Sundry for those who are familiar), spraying it on the floor and Swiffer mopping it in.
- Taking some of the materia to the corners of the house and the property line and sprinkling it while praying
- Eating a quick meal so we can fast from food for the duration of the eclipse
- Take a ritual shower; sound cleansing + energy scraping before I get in, then Asclepius materia in a pitcher and prayed over to to fortify, and Deneb Algedi in a pitcher and prayed over to protect. Will probably do a foot bath too somewhere in there.
- Giving a offering to ancestors and asking for their continued protection
During the eclipse itself I will:
- Abstain from food
- Abstain from sleep
- Abstain from sex
- Abstain from anything activating (Reddit, discourse Tumblr)
- Drink lots of water
- Stay inside (less important since the sun will be down then but out of habit mostly)
- Listen to chants I like or other music meant for calming
During eclipse season (the time between the eclipses) I will:
- Give something pleasurable up (for me this time it’s chocolate)
- Take fewer risks
- Meditate more
- Use Asclepius oil daily
To be very very clear - you do not need to do all of this. I like sharing what I’m doing in case it helps other people get ideas.
My recommendations for if you can only do a little bit:
- Clean your floors as much as you can before it starts, bless them if you’re able
- Cleanse yourself in some way, even if that’s just a mundane shower
- Close the blinds, stay out of the sun if you’re able
- Fast from something for the duration of the eclipse or eclipse season

CAPRICORN (December22- January 19)
smart ~ hardworking ~ ambitious
Capricorn, (from Latin: “Goat-Horned”) also called Capricornus and the Goat, in astrology, the 10th sign of the zodiac, considered as governing the period from about December 22 to about January 19. One explanation of the fishtail with which the goat is often represented is found in the Greek myth of Pan, who, to avoid the monster Typhon, jumped into the water just as he was changing into animal shape. The half above water assumed the shape of a goat while the lower half, the tail, assumed the shape of a fish.
Tumblr media
In astronomy, Capricornus is a zodiacal constellation lying in the southern sky between Aquarius and Sagittarius, at about 21 hours right ascension and 20° south declination. Its stars are faint; Deneb Algedi (Arabic for “kid’s tail”) is the brightest star, with a magnitude of 2.9. Capricornus usually refers to the constellation, and Capricorn usually refers to the astrological sign.
Astrological signs and it’s traits

Tumblr media
Capricorn, you are standing at a crossroads, and it looks as though you might be making this much more complicated than it needs to be. If you find yourself wishing for a certain outcome in this coin toss that is life, you'll benefit from taking steps (big or small) in the direction you are hoping for.
Planet- Saturn
Tumblr media
Saturn transiting through the sign of Capricorn is a time to ground yourself and focus on your long-term goals. You will have to work hard to achieve your goals during this period. Saturn teaches you that success comes from perseverance and consistency, not luck or quick fixes.
“Capricorns are the ultimate worker bees: ambitious organized. practical. goal-oriented. and they don t mind the hustle. They re ready to give up a lot in order to achieve that goal.”
Ambitious, hardworking, and enterprising is one side of the sign. The Capricorn natives are extremely driven, enthusiastic about life, and capable of setting lofty but attainable objectives. The Capricorn natives on the other hand are lost in a world of actual or perceived barriers to achievement.

Tonight I zoomed the camera in a bit to emphasize Jupiter and Saturn in the frame and was able, for the first time, to get the full outline of Capricornus. Jupiter is close to the tail of the sea goat and brightest star Deneb Algedi. Saturn is closer to the multiple and second brightest system Dabih. The rising moon and adjacency to the horizon contributed to the colorful background
