Yeah so everybody knows this movie is an allegory for people with gender identities that aren't accepted in the greater society, and subsequent suffering those people experience when struggling with that environment. Nobody can look at that movie and say it was just about a monster, come on. There were so many golden lines that could be used word for word about a non-binary or trans person's struggles with their identity and place in the world. The world needs more representation like Nimona 🩷

hear me out:

Ragatha admitting to Pomni that she resented that she was raised her whole life to be a girly girl and sometimes doesn't even feel like a girl at all.

Ragatha using she/her or they/them interchangeably and while they don't really have a preference between the two, it makes them feel REALLY good when people remember to use they/them for them.

Ragatha having a second outfit that's more akin to Raggedy Andy that they wear when they don't feel as feminine that day. (sometimes they mix elements from both the dress and the "Andy" outfit)
