Player x Team Chef au

an idea that I don't think I've seen before that I've been thinking about for a while. Let me know what you guys think and if I should continue something like this.

-Went to a culinary school to learn how to cook, as well as she has a degree in food science and nutrition

-Had a job at a fancy restaurant before she was let go, because the management didn't think she had the guts to a good chef at their restaurant. She hasn't been able to get a job since, but after scouring the web for a job, she comes across the posting for player's team looking for a head chef for the team, she applies and gets it

And then either

(A) Player's team was her favorite team growing up and Player is her current favorite player on said team. Player sees her and falls in love with her and her food.

or

(B) She and Player have had a run in before (whether he was someone who complained about her food at the fancy restaurant or they're friends of a friend or maybe even they've had a run in at a bar or something) either way she thinks he's kind of a jerk (this would be more of an enemy to lovers)

or

(C ) Mash the two together somehow?

idk am I crazy? is it terrible? no potential?

(A Blurb)

"That's the chef? She's she's-" His eyes bugged out. Weren't chefs and cooks supposed to be ugly or something? This girl was something else, and she could cook, she must be perfect.

"Hot? I know." Teammate finished player's sentence. He reached over and pushed up on Player's chin, closing it. He had an idea that was even better than just asking for a written copy. "You're staring, go talk to her, ask her out maybe she can make you the good stuff"

"No I couldn't do that. I don't want to use her like that." He didn't think he could be that selfish. It wasn't nice, but then again just think of all the good things she could make.

(B Blurb)

"This food is so bland it's disgusting" He threw his fork on the table, unable to eat any more of the food that had been provided to him by the team chef.

"Dude you are literally the only one who thinks that, this shit is the best." Teammate A shovel another spoonful of vegetable fried rice. He scrunched his nose up in disgust at his friend's sloppy eating.

"If you really want to complain about it, I think that's Chef right over there." Teammate B pointed to the girl with a white chef's coat on and a team ball cap.

"I think I just might." He stood with his plate, walking over to the girl who was just coming out to check on the food that was already out.

"Hey." He tapped on her shoulder, she turned around smiling at the person in back of her. He squinted at her when he realized it was her. "Oh my god, it's you. I should have known by how gross this is"

Hi it's just to let you know that the official romanization of Revaan's name is Raverne ! Also they have romanized Baul's name to Baur !

I do like Raverne though, I think it's got a nice fancy sound to it! (I had kinda suspected it was going to be an R instead of an L, so the fact that it's SO close to Laverne except for that is hilarious to me personally.) and Dragoneye Duke is honestly probably the best translation for his title, I wasn't envying the localizers that one. :') Baur instead of Baul I was NOT expecting, but in retrospect I think his name's supposed to be a reference to the Bauru crocodile, so that actually makes way more sense!

someone else also said Meleanor has become Maleanor, which is the REALLY weird one to me, because I was so surprised it was written as Mel instead of Mal in the first place?! oh god no I can't decide which one I like better. 😭 (I wonder if they might change it to Mal...they have made romanization changes before) (like I remember House of Distraction being corrected to House of Destruction in Playful Land) (I did check and she's still Mel for now, but I dunno, they might Mal her up and some point and save me from having to make a decision about which one to use) (HECK I CAN'T DECIDE)

I’m going to phrase this delicately because I’m so deeply grateful and awed by the support I’ve received.

But I will say it is a little anxiety inducing how many people feel they can talk about coming home whatever way they want openly and publicly because it has “numbers” or whatever (referring to my own work like this makes me want to claw my eyes out because they baffle me and I don’t necessarily feel I deserve them but it’s important for context).

This is Especially true for the way people speak under things I very much see. Art of the fic. My Twitter mutuals posts. Things I will very obviously interact with. It feels like someone is walking into my back yard and talking shit as if I'm literally not standing in said yard like this 🧍

You make something for a community for free as an act of passion and then the community in turn becomes something that isn’t quite accessible to you anymore. I’ve seen this happen to a lot of fic writers in my previous fandoms and idk man it’s just kind of a bummer.

Like. Fanfic and fanart is made by people in the fandom for the fandom. It’s not work being produced by some distant people in Hollywood who shouldn’t be in the fandom space in the first place.

Idk, it’s actually pretty rare that this happens to me but I wanted to mention I am a human who can very much read the things you say guys 😭 like if you reblog art related to my work and call it a bunch of petty names and say you had to dnf I can see that. It’s totally ok to feel whatever way you want. But maybe don't feel that way in my back yard.

⚠️ TW: Unwanted Pregnancy, and Child Death

• Yui's pregnancy came as a result of an accident, a moment of misplaced affection and exploitation. Shu had no interest in becoming a father, and Yui was initially overwhelmed by the idea of bringing a child into such a broken world.

• Despite the initial shock, she made a choice to carry the baby, believing it could give her a reason to live beyond the endless torment.

• The pregnancy was never celebrated. The Sakamaki brothers didn’t care. They mocked and ignored her every step of the way.

• Shu’s indifference was clear from the start. He barely acknowledged the pregnancy, treating Yui as if it were just another inconvenience.

• Ayato, as usual, expressed possessiveness, making claims like "If the kid’s mine, I’ll raise it my way." Yui couldn’t even get a moment of peace from him.

• Laito was more detached, mocking her condition by calling her "a breeder" and making jokes about the baby’s future.

• Subaru, though silent, was visibly affected by the news, but never expressed it. He avoided Yui more than ever, retreating into himself.

• Kanato, on the other hand, showed a rare moment of discomfort, questioning the existence of the baby as if it were a threat to his position in the family.

• Yui was determined to keep the child, even when the world around her was a constant reminder of her suffering. The pregnancy gave her a sliver of hope, something to live for amidst the chaos.

• There were nights when Yui would talk to her unborn child, promising it that she would protect it no matter the cost. She imagined a life where she could be a real mother—one who could show her child love and care, despite everything.

• She believed, deep down, that the baby would be different, that it could somehow escape the darkness of the Sakamaki mansion.

• When Adam was born, the brothers remained indifferent as ever. There was no celebration, no joy—just the same cold atmosphere that filled the mansion.

• Yui was alone in the delivery room, and the only sound that echoed through the space was Adam’s first cry. It was a sound Yui would cherish forever.

• Even though the mansion didn’t feel like a home, in that moment, Yui believed she had created something beautiful, something innocent.

• Adam was an unusually calm child, even in such a hostile environment. He rarely cried and seemed to seek comfort in Yui’s presence.

• His big, innocent eyes would follow her movements, and he would reach for her hand whenever she was near. Yui loved those moments, when she could feel his warmth and touch, even though her life remained harsh and unyielding.

• At times, Adam would try to reach for the other brothers, but none of them ever truly reciprocated the affection. He would eventually return to Yui, finding solace in her arms.

• Adam’s death was a horrific accident.

• One day, while exploring the mansion’s grounds, Adam wandered off and accidentally tripped down a flight of stairs. The fall was enough to cause severe trauma to his tiny body.

• Yui found him almost immediately, her heart shattering at the sight of her son’s limp body. She screamed, but Shu’s only response was a cold, detached glance.

• Ayato acted annoyed by the inconvenience, and Laito treated it as a mere spectacle. Subaru was lost in silent guilt, unable to process the devastation.

• Adam’s death was the breaking point for Yui, and her hope for a better future died with him.

• Yui’s grief was quiet but all-consuming. She couldn’t understand why the child she had fought so hard to protect had been taken away.

• She often found herself staring at his empty crib, unable to comprehend the loss. Shu showed no empathy, and the others didn’t seem to care.

• In the silence of the mansion, Yui carried her grief in solitude. Her only solace came in the form of dreams, where she saw Adam running through a field, laughing as if nothing had ever hurt him...

I think more media should work with the concept that you can still love someone you never forgave. You can still rebuild and create a new relationship with someone but also be "what you did to me was wrong and I trust you to not be like that again and want you in my life but I can't won't forgive that, won't forget the hurt you caused. I love you but there will be days I won't be able to see you because the trauma you gave me is back and I'm just so angry and sad and at least you never asked for forgiviness just to be here, just for friendship, because you know that this are things I can give you."

Omega! Logan who was born in the 1800s when secondary gender roles were very prevalent but it actually really suited him and he wanted to be a home maker and have a bunch of pups but he was always too big and hairy and and not seen as a good Omega. Alphas would sleep with him but never treat him the way they would a “proper” omega and they didn’t ever want anything serious because it’s like almost shameful to have a big hairy omega.

Then times change and Omegas start breaking out of the cookie cutter roles and they go into the work force and what not (feminism but it’s omegas) and Logan is very happy for them he thinks they all deserve the right to choose, but still no one wants him. And everyone expects him being an omega with the way he looks to be at the forefront of the movement to want the change for himself, but he doesn’t.

And over the years he toughened up and stops looking to start a family and put his dreams on the back burner to become what everyone expected of him.

And then everything happens and all the sudden Logan finds himself in a universe without secondary genders, where he isn’t a too big and hairy omega, he’s just some guy.

And unintentionally he finds his way into the role he’s always craved, where he takes care of the home and the dog while Wade makes the money, and it’s the closest he’s ever been to the life he wanted. He mostly retires from fighting and heroing, but now he’s ready for a new challenge. And being near Laura has only served to dig up that old desire and instinct he tried to bury so long ago

And I mean, even if the mutant hate wasn’t as bad as it is in Logan’s old world there was still a time here not to long ago when mutants were ran out and scattered around the world. And now with the people at Xavier’s working on getting the Mutants back into the city trying to re group with their still dwindling numbers. I mean Logan and Wade should help with the mutant re population efforts, who better to do that then two very eager immortals who can heal from anything and with a whole gang of friends around them for free child care.
