Nazis, openly waving Swastikas and doing the Sieg Heil salute in Orlando, Florida
Tumblr media
Not a single uniformed police officer in sight. I say “uniformed” because the odds are that some of the people doing the Nazi salute are probably in law enforcement.
Now, contrast that to how overly militarized police have routinely shown up at peaceful Black Lives Matter protests
Tumblr media
Or how the police treat peaceful college students protesting for free higher education
Tumblr media
Or how the authorities treated Black people simply walking in our own communities, after the murder of Mike Brown
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh, and how about six months before the January 6, 2021 white supremacist riots, when National Guard troops were deployed to the Lincoln Memorial on June 2, 2020, during George Floyd protests held in Washington, DC? Where was this overwhelming presence on January 6, 2021??
Tumblr media
And finally, Ron DeSantis, a leading Republican candidate for President of The United States(!), has a large following of Neo-Nazis, but he has yet to explicitly denounce them. I guess maybe he’s too busy banning books, or making sure drag queens aren’t reading books to children, or making sure that accurate Black history—aka American history—isn’t being taught in schools.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I could go on and on and on, but the police never seem to have that same energy for actual fucking Nazis, or the Proud Boys, or Oath Keepers, etc etc etc
Domestic terrorism by white nationalists is the biggest threat to social stability, justice, democracy and to America itself.

Evidence shows that better training doesn't lead to better officers. It is a persistent myth and narrative that prevents real, necessary reform when it comes to policing and public safety.

Black Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson, switches from being a lifetime Democrat to a Republican. I don't blame him and he’s not the only non-politician one to say this
youtube
He makes a lot of good points... truly. I’m not specifically talking about his commentary on the police so much about how he was treated by people aligned with each party.
Some will think he changed only because he got threats, but it's more than that. It seems he didn't feel safe and felt unwelcome into a party he felt was not on the side of safety... Those Left memes that say things like "commit crimes" or showing murder are not funny and do not help at all. They show an alignment with canceling people, threatening people, death threats, not standing up for what’s right, etc as I’ve seen myself. Some people who say they fight for women’s rights harassed and sexually harassed me.
My own experience is similar to his. I was receiving threats and was harassed by a man and his girlfriend (for merely calling him out for sexually harassing me). In the community we were a part of, the ONLY people who took real action to STAND UP for me directly against my attackers were my two *Republican* friends and my Jewish friend who lived in a red state!
All the Democrats/Left people cowered in a corner, ignored me, or acted like they simply "didn't know all the details". No social justice at all from so-called feminists. The friends specifically from California, the most blue state there is right now, literally got downright upset at me for asking them to take action to help me report them to a convention and stopped talking to me!
Democrats who claim to be for women's rights and safety, feminism, were silent when a woman was being sexually harassed, slandered/libeled, harassed, and threatened by a man... No.
*This* is why people, especially many people in the working classes, people of color, and even women, believe that the Democratic party doesn't care about them anymore. I hear of it more and more... They want the party that has people in it who have their backs and speak up for their safety, not people who will threaten to harm them if they don't follow the exact ideas that the people think they should have.
Do better. If you say you actually care about people who are somehow suffering in the world, if you care about disenfranchised black neighborhoods or women's safety, then *help* the people around you who need it and stop making threats to strangers who you *assume* hate you and want to harm you. Instead, spend that energy trying to see if you can meet in the middle. Otherwise, leave it alone unless you are literally receiving legitimate unlawful behavior toward you (which includes death threats, real harasssment, libel/slander [which only counts if done in a place to literally damage your reputation and cause you losses], etc.)
If you don't try to help others around you who need it and continue to assume people hate you, you're just virtue signaling and it means nothing. It's like being a hypocritical Christian. You know... Those people you hate.

On July 1, 1965, a white sheriff in Camden, Alabama, forced people to leave and then padlocked the doors of the Antioch Baptist Church—a Black church where leaders were discussing civil rights—even though he did not have the authority to do so. Community members from the Summer Community Organization and Political Education (SCOPE) group had been meeting at the church for several months, working to promote Black voter registration in Alabama and the rest of the South. According to the 1960 census, Black residents made up over 75% of the population of Wilcox County. However, because of established practices and laws passed with the intent of suppressing the Black vote—which were enforced in discriminatory ways—no Black people in Wilcox County were registered to vote during the 1964 election. When people at the Antioch Baptist Church began registering Black voters, they were quickly targeted by the white community. Two days before Sheriff P.C. Jenkins evicted people from the church, a group of white men had broken into the building and beaten two Black teenagers, inflicting injuries so severe that they were both hospitalized. Rather than providing protection from this violence, on July 1, Sheriff Jenkins announced that the church had been the cause of “too much disturbance,” and gave people only a few hours to clear out their belongings before putting a padlock on the door.  Though Sheriff Jenkins claimed that at least one church leader had expressed opposition to having the church involved in civil rights activism, the following day the chairman of the Board of Deacons denied that claim, and two weeks later the congregation and board of the church unanimously voted to support the church’s involvement in registering Black voters.   Read EJI’s report, Segregation in America, to learn more about how local white officials targeted civil rights activists and the Black church in their quest to uphold segregation.

This is a wip for now, but I’m pretty happy about what I have produced in the time I did. The quality of my pictures are kinda garbage but I can’t figure out why. I have been on a fallout kick recently and wanted to draw Nick Valentine, one of my favorites and someone who despite his brain coming from a cop has a decent character build. Which obviously all cops are bastards, even the original Nick Valentine. They uphold the interests of the capital owners with violence against the workers and lower class. And we are starting to see the late stages of it already with cop cities being built so they can better use war tactics on citizens. This is what late stage capitalism has wet dreams about. I don’t know what options we have left some days and the further things progress the more worried I get.

All cops are bastards? A bastard is defined as "a person born of unmarried parents." It's literally impossible that all cops were born out of wedlock.

This is a joke. I hate both cops and Ben Shapiro.

The phrase “defund the police” has become a lasting reminder of Congress’s colossal failure to address criminal justice reform. Even though the majority of Americans agreed that George Floyd’s death was a symptom of “an underlying racial injustice problem,” Congress failed to pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, which would enact structural changes to policing, introduce a method for transparency, and accountability.
So, why did “defund the police” get so much bad press when conservatives have been defunding public schools for years without so much as a peep from the other side of the aisle? Because Democrats have a horrible habit of responding to the right’s positions rather than taking on bad-faith talking points. But, letting conservatives’ hypocrisy dominate the narrative is dangerous. The debate over “defund the police” was never about public safety; it was about police controlling Black people in their communities.
Likewise, defunding public schools isn’t about providing parents with “choice.”
White students are not short on options for pursuing their education. America’s first school was whites-only, and only through Black parents’ advocacy over generations did that dynamic change. Attacking public school funding is a blatant attempt to deny Black, Latino, and other marginalized students equal opportunities as White students.
Approximately 64% of Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck and can’t possibly afford to send their children to private schools. Conservatives are trying to find a way around Brown v Board of Education, where they can still provide separate and unequal opportunities for Black students.

can i say something. the republican culture war is obviously very bad and dangerous. but also unbelievably embarrassing. idk how many more times I can listen to grown men talk about the "woke mind virus" before i keel over and die. WHAT are you talking about. Real people don't care about this stuff. Even the average republican doesn't actually care about most of this culture war bullshit. you got too deep in the online ragebait and you've let that distort your image of reality, likely because you very rarely interact with real people.
