The world if people stopped applying their understanding of "conservatism" and "religion/christianity" through a very modern, deeply American view onto Death Note (a manga from the Early-mid 2000s which is very much set in the cultural and societal context of early-mid 2000s Japan and all that entails):

People assuming that Light Yagami can't ever be relatable because someone like Light looks to them like a teacher's wet dream of a #perfect student who is always working hard and studying #when the truth is that while Light is the top student in Japan at one point‚ everything he is doing is within the realm of expectation for #'good' Japanese students. Not exceptional or supernatural or beyond dedicated. Even though I have no debt, I’ve pretty much accepted that by next decade (if I’m still alive), I will be jobless, homeless, and penniless. The government refuses to act on climate change or institute any sort of safety nets such as UBI on the basis that it’s “communism.” So I’ve pretty much sworn off getting married or having kids.

Sorry, white supremacists, but no amount of abortion banning or forced white people breeding programs are going to make people want to have kids. You played yourselves like a damn fiddle.

There were like five or six Death Wish movies, in which Charles Bronson shoots POC r*pists with guns, after the movie takes lots of time to show light-skinned women being r*ped by those men.

They are of varying quality, but all of them are stupid and gross and embarrassing artifacts of 20 years of cheap garbage American cinema.

My point is, the kinds of people who think those movies are great and realistic are now in charge of like 70% of America.

Don't be surprised by anything these people say or do. They think a white man with a giant gun killing black men who r*pe everything is what comes after the universal equals sign.

Go watch one of those shit movies. You will understand everything the contemporary GOP is and does. They vote on the basis of Death Wish. They think America is Death Wish, and the solution is more Death Wish.

After they get to watch all the r*pes, of course.
