our deal | preview
pairing: choi beomgyu x you
summary: beomgyu has it all. like, he's popular, handsome, rich, smart, funny, cool, tall, well-connected, and charming, if he's being perfectly honest. so when he finally settles down with a girl named yeji, he's utterly humiliated when she dumps him out of nowhere for another guy. in his desperation, he realizes there is only one girl on campus who has the ability to make yeji see what she's missing out on—the campus's very own resident misandrist: you.
genre: MAYBE smut (mdni) (if i feel like it but it'll be suggestive at the very least), romance, fake dating, fluff (probably rily corny but idgaf), prob a tiny bit of angst (likeeee have u even met me...), enemies to lovers kinda
warnings: some allusions to reader's vague past trauma with men but nothing specific
word count: tbd
release date: tbd
notes: probably the corniest thing i'll ever post on here but idc the girls that get it get it
-
“you’re a natural at this, you know? it’s almost like you actually like me,” he teases, and there’s a hint of hope in his words that he doesn't even realize is there.
“don’t be gross,” you hiss, but your face remains strangely pleasant as you do it. beomgyu can only hold back his disappointment so as to maintain the illusion of the loving couple you two are supposed to be, all while yeji’s stare burns into the two of you.
“c’mon, let’s pretend we’re flirting or something. act like i just said something funny.” surprisingly, you giggle. it’s a sound he’s never heard before from you, and he inexplicably wants to hear it again and again, especially in a genuine context. you lean in even closer as you whisper back, your breath warm in his ear.
“god, this is so fucking boring.”
“cry about it. we’ve got yeji right where i want her,” he says with a forced chuckle as he fights to maintain the facade, despite his annoyance.
“pig,” you retort with faux sweetness as you equally struggle to appear as enamored with him as you're supposed to be.
“crybaby.”
you two break apart as your professor comes in. you turn your attention towards her, but beomgyu can’t help but spend the duration of the class stealing glances at you, even when you pay him so little attention, he’s seemingly out of your stratosphere. when the class ends, the damage is done, and the whole class, and eventually the entire campus, is abuzz with rumors about how beomgyu is recently involved with the previously unattainable man-hater.
notes pt. 2: if u think this is corny literally close ur eyes n scroll i'm sensitive... but lmk if u wanna be tagged! also this is prob coming out after freudian

ive always wondered if milsiril's overprotectiveness of kabru was less because of infantilisation (although she def like all elves has that problem) and more so out of guilt. she was a captain of the canaries during the Utaya incident I believe and she witnessed what happened and she couldn't stop it. and she left the canaries because of it and took in the kid who was the Only survivor, raised him in extreme comfort so he'd never see the horrors again and didn't want him anywhere near the dungeons! like i think learning self defense for defenses sake would have made her hesitant but she would have obliged but because it was specifically for the dungeons she was so against it. also like he must have had a rough few years dealing with that trauma as well which doubled her protectiveness
I believe it's a mixture of both, I don't think you can really take away the guilt (actually unsure if that's the best word to describe it) nor the race relations from how Milsiril sees Kabru.
I am the Milsiril apologist ™ but the fact she see's Kabru as a child even now is a big part of their relationship, she's a mother that can't grow up (both for being an elf and for her own issues) and that has to cope with her children outgrowing her fast
Putting a read more cause as usual when it's about Milsiril I talk too much
We can see in every way Milsiril acts that she sees Kabru at most as a toddler during his time with her, she's hand feeding him, has him in a room full of toys and talks about him like he's a cute baby.

I think people are too mean about this side of Milsiril tbh. I think it makes her interesting and it's clear (to me at least) that she does her best to provide for her children even if she doesn't truly understands them. Even in that first interaction with Kabru where she's trying to hand feed him they were *already* training with swords beforehand.
Milsiril also talks to Kabru in a way that kinda seems to expect him to understand more than what a small child would like we can see in the AB extra
So her infantilization doesn't extend to underestimating him at least, rather I think that's how she shows affection (which is still bad 😭)
Anyway, about her trauma with the dungeon and guilt (or maybe shame? Fear?), I do think that was one of the motivations for her to take Kabru in as I said in this post (beware I am a Milsiril apologist and I am VERY biased in seeing her in a more positive light, doesn't mean it's true) but I think that side of her manifests in her sudden switches from crybaby mom to ruthless master
Milsiril is very emotionally unstable from what we can see, she's really trying to convince Kabru not to go into dungeons and when tears don't work she switches into training him so hard he'll give up on his own. I've seen people call this her "true colors" or say she was using "crocodile tears" but in my opnion both the tears and the threat are genuine, I don't think it's a planned switch but rather the fact she's unstable to begin with, both the crybaby mom and the scary swords master are her true self.
Anyway! I think both guilt and infantilization are intertwined in her love towards Kabru, I've said this before but she's a flawed caretaker in a world where she does not have the resources to become a better one. She's traumatized she's depressed and she's an elf, but she's the only one (that we know) willing to at least *try* to treat the people she cares for the correct way. If it wasn't for Milsiril Kabru would have been raised by elves like Rin was (and we know that went very bad, they traumatized her), and Mithrun might not have received the proper rehab he needed to go back into the canaries (He might have managed but we see Milsiril put in the effort to help him cope besides being the one to tell him about Utaya)
That is all to say: Milsiril is still flawed!! It's part of what I love about her, and it's the reason so many people dislike her too. I'm saying this cause sometimes when I go on my Milsiril rants I get asks putting down Kabru to raise her up and that's like, very uncomfortable lmao. Even if she did her best he still was the one that to deal with all of her shortfallings while being raised and he's still the one responsible for getting to where he is, she just made is easier than it could have been.
Disclaimer as is usual for my Milsiril posts: I'm a Milsiril fan, my interpretations of her are very charitable because I often see people being way too uncharitable about her. Please read the original material and make up your own interpretation, this posts only contain what I think it's relevant for my point not an objective view of the whole. I've also already made several posts about her and I don't want to keep repeating myself so if you think I glossed over something important that's probably why.
Edit: thinking more about it, maybe rather than feeling guilty herself she might blame "elves" as a whole for the failure in Utaya, it does say she left it "in disgust". It's not that clear how she feels about it.
I still think it's shared trauma though, I don't think it's possible for Milsiril to not have been affected by what happened there and I think it's part of why she doesn't want Kabru to go to dungeons again. But her way to cope is to turn away from it (and blaming "elves" might be part of how she copes) while Kabru's is to face it so it doesn't happen again

Happy Fall/Halloween! for the prompt could you do any draco fic please!
Draco hadn't meant to become friends with Ronald Weasley. Obviously.
It's just that he was his age and there and what else was he supposed to do while he was stuck waiting for his dad at the ministry? He wasn't even allowed to play with anything. Also he felt sort of bad for him, because his older brothers made fun of him for being a crybaby, and sometimes people did that with Pansy. Put Pansy cried when she was mad and made them regret it and Ron just looks sort of pathetic.
It was pity, really. Ron claimed it was trauma. Their fathers were both appalled, but it's what they get for leaving them in the ministry without proper supervision.
If he and Ron managed to sneak away, how proper could the supervision be, really?
They're on the train, sharing a compartment because of course they are, and Harry Potter is looking between them like someone is playing a practical joke on him.
"My father will disown me if I'm sorted into Gryffindor," Draco complains. "I'm an only child. Can you imagine, the only son of a Malfoy and a Black in red and gold? The cousins will riot. You already have five brothers there, you might as well come to Slytherin."
Ron wrinkles his nose. "And have to deal with your lot all the time? You're bad enough as it is."
Draco kicks him. Ron kicks him back. They're about to descend to pinching when Harry says, "Uh, I thought you didn't get to choose?"
"If you want to go to a certain house, your values obviously align," Draco shrugs. "I mean, our families have been there for generations and they probably weren't all just the same."
Harry turns to Ron, who just echoes Draco's shrug. "I don't know, my brothers lie to me."
"If you come to Slytherin, you won't have to share a common room with any of your brothers," Draco points out.
Ron frowns. "That's your most compelling argument yet."

I got a fun one- how easily do each of the Boyds get brought to tears- who's a crybaby and who's a stone wall
Steve Murphy: He doesn’t cry for months and then *boom* - he’s on an express train, destination: waterworks city. There’s snot, lurching sobs, lots of inelegant whimpering. The whole thing is an event, and can be drawn out off-and-on for multiple days. I think he was pretty prone to tears as a kid, and tried to suppress it as he grew up, but sometimes it just comes bursting back out. He’s honestly so sweet and vulnerable when he’s like that though. He will never refuse a hug.
Donald Pierce: Pierce cries… semi-often, typically from stress, frustration, or humiliation. His typical crying sessions are fairly self-contained things though: not more than a few angry, prickling tears and a tight throat. His usual crying spot is the shower, after a hard day at work. He’s cried in front of Gabby a decent amount too, and he’ll angry-cry if they’re fighting. Once in a while he’ll break down and really start sobbing if he feels like his life or relationships are in the shitter, or if he’s dealing with a sudden influx of psychosexual trauma.
Cap Hatfield: He cries decently easily, but it’s rarely full-on sobbing or anything too intense. His eyes get misty and his lip wobbles adorably.
Clement Mansell: He cries a *lot*. He’s very prone to crying in the shower when he’s frustrated, and he’s also cried during fights with Sandy. He sometimes cries when he’s composing songs or singing said songs. He’s cried thinking about his dad. It’s very rarely full-on sobs though - like Pierce, he mostly gets kind of choked up and sheds a few solitary tears.
The Corinthian: Dream (or thinking about Dream too hard) can make him “cry”! Calliope has made him cry at least once before, and maybe a dreamer a very long time ago (Dream removed this memory to preserve the Corinthian’s structural integrity). That’s about it!
Eli Klaber: He actually doesn’t cry much! He wasn’t prone to it as a child, either. I don’t think he’s particularly stoic as much as more resilient than some of the other Boyd characters - and he’s more likely to channel his negative emotions into short bursts of being pissy and then forgets about them.
Danny Maguire: He threw so many temper tantrums as a kid! As an adult he doesn’t cry quite as much… but his dad berating him can absolutely make him cry so damn fast. Also, if he does get the urge to cry, he’s really bad at holding until he’s in private - it’s coming out right then and there.
Ty Shaw: He cries a decent amount! And for lots of different reasons! I think he might be the only Boyd character that cries when he’s happy - it’s so easy for his siblings to make him happy-cry, honestly! He’s cried watching SO many Pixar movies. The only times he tries not to cry are when his siblings are already crying - he doesn’t mind crying in front of his siblings generally, but if they’re crying too, he wants to stay strong for them! (Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.)
Quinn McKenna: Once in a very long while, if he’s upset enough, or grieving a loss. It usually ends up kind of taking him by surprise. If someone catches him crying there’s a 50/50 that he snaps at them to leave him alone or he grudgingly accepts a hug.

could you please do an agere crying child/evan afton regressor moodboard? with soft colors/items, please! the aesthetic can be sort of a soft space one? headcanons would be appreciated too but i dont mind anything— tysm!
Yep! I sure can :D
💧Regressor!Crying Child/Evan Afton Headcanons
⚠️TW! Child Death mentions, Bullying mentions.
Crying child, or Evan Afton, is a Trauma regressor. He started regressing without knowing before his death, due to the various stresses of his life. Michael and his friends teasing and bullying him, his father being so busy at work, the scary animatronics... It was all so stressful and scary! He was sensitive; or so he was told. He cried a lot, and that in of itself made him sad and anxious. So a lot of times, his mind would feel cloudy and he'd feel like a little kid again.
💧He wouldn't dare tell Michael, knowing the teasing and harsh words that would follow. Father was too busy working and stuff, Elizabeth was also dealing with father not being home a lot. He could technically tell mama, but... He was scared. What if she left him alone because she thought he was a crybaby, like what Michael said?
🧸So he kept it his own little secret. He got to the point where he was regressed most of the time, which only caused Michael's teasing to get worse. He'd regress between 1-5, usually 1-3 on worse days. During bedtime he'd regress, the comfy, soothing blanket and dim lights making him feel super small... He'd suck on his thumb, holding his Fredbear stuffie he got close.
💧He's a very sensitive and soft regressor, so if someone were to take care of regressed him, they'd have to be careful. Treat him nicely, please. Give him his bottle full of warm milk, some crackers and plenty of blankets, stuffed animals and pillows. He loves being comfy while regressed, and bright lights stress him out. So a blanket fort with plenty of comfy cozy stuff, some warm-colored fairy lights and maybe a childrens book would be like a dream come true for Evan.
🧸Loves affection of all sorts. Hugs, cuddles, forehead kisses, hand holding while walking across the street, he loves it as much as he loves kind words of encouragement, praise, soothing words to comfort him, and words of understanding. He likes presents, too, as most children do. Give him a new teddy bear and he'll be super happy! But you don't have to give him stuff for him to be happy, just you being there with him is enough.
💧He likes books a whole bunch! Especially bedtime stories. He struggles to read while regressed, but if you read him some stories then he'll listen happily. Though if he falls asleep as you're reading, don't take any offense to it. It's not boring or anything, he's just a sleepy little guy when regressed.
🧸He loves those footie pajamas for kids. Y'know what I'm talking about? Those onesies that cover the feet. He thinks that they're super duper comfy and they make him feel safe, like he's in a fuzzy, warm blanket that no one can steal from him.
💧He likes wearing diapers, but he doesn't like going in them. They feel comfy and safe; reminding him of a time where he felt safe and comforted, but he still doesn't like making a mess in them.
🧸Overall, Evan's a sensitive, very sweet kiddo when regressed!

I keep seeing Bad Kira Yamato Takes on Twitter and I keep asking myself why do I bother with the For You page except I’ve got it mostly trained to show me fan art of my favorite ships and such so I guess that’s the trade off.
Anyway, just venting because I happen to think Kira, for all the accusations the haters like to throw at him, is a very reasonable and human Gundam Protagonist. Also unlike Amuro Ray he never actually runs away from fighting … until Seed Freedom (but that’s more like “there’s multiple people to pick up where he left off and there’s plenty of reasons why he should just retire”).
I really don’t get the hate towards Kira in Seed. There is nothing he does that any previous Gundam protagonist hasn’t done. Survive improbable situations thanks to the power of Plot Armor? Heero Yuy’s done that at least three between Wing and Endless Waltz - the most egregious one in Wing when he self destructed his Gundam while standing on the cockpit hatch. I mean sure there was also the time he set his own broken leg but that’s also besides the point. Improbable speed at learning to pilot a Gundam? Amuro Ray did that and that was the original.
At the same time, people like to say Kira didn’t suffer and just coasted through Seed. As though he didn’t have to helpless watch as Tolle dies, nearly kills a childhood best friend over it, gets PTSD just from fighting a war, and then more PTSD from dealing with Durandal, and also general trauma of being in an abusive relationship with Flay (that has repercussions into his relationship with Lacus well into Seed Freedom). Kira might not have started Seed traumatized the way both Athrun (Junius Seven/Bloody Valentine) and Shinn (First Battle of Orb) were, but he still had personal trauma nonetheless. And even though it’s not explicitly shown on screen, I wouldn’t be surprised if Kira feels guilty about what happened to Shinn even if Kira himself wasn’t directly at fault for it.
And to say that Kira’s goal isn’t the same as Lacus’s (world peace) along with basically with everyone else he’s teamed up with is just terrible comprehension because everyone involved with Cagalli (and Athrun, by extension) and COMPASS wants world peace and the wars to just stop.
Honestly, I think the best damned thing that happened to Kira ever since he got drop kicked into the cockpit by Murrue (not her fault, it was either that or let the civilian kid die and she wasn’t about to do that either) is being able to just fuck off and fly to Akatsuki Island at the end of Seed Freedom and have victory sex on the beach with Lacus, because he really hasn’t had time to do what he wants for himself since then. Because every time there’s a chance of it happening, he was either getting manipulated by Flay, working (as a programmer), or recovering from trauma. Like he’s been at this for 4 years with hardly a break because (by Seed Freedom) he feels like he has to, both as the Ultimate Coordinator (as in, he has the ability to so he must), and as part of what he said to Durandal at the end of the Battle of Messiah. And because he is so busy and being part of COMPASS has actually meant he and Lacus spend more time apart, he can’t really lean on her the way he used to during the First and Second Earth Alliance-PLANT wars.
Really if I were being honest I’d actually say the only reason Kira’s been “okay” during both Seed and Seed Destiny is because Lacus has been there to be something of a therapist for him (especially during Seed Destiny with how he very obviously has PTSD from the first war). But the reason Lacus is willing to do this for him is because she’s got shades of philosopher-therapist to begin with, and she knows he’s actually very kind and caring underneath it all and isn’t a soldier at all, and doesn’t belong on the battlefield (from how he treated her during her time as a prisoner on the Archangel early on before he got really traumatized by the war).
And also Kira’s a crybaby? Okay so crying because a friend died is a bad thing? Crying because you’re suddenly thrown into a war you never wanted to be a part of and having to kill people because it’s kill or be killed even though you don’t want to kill anyone is a bad thing? Crying because you’re scared but you have to go out and fight anyway because if you don’t, you, your friends, a whole bunch of civilians, and other people (even if they’re military and they signed up for this, but some of them have been really nice and tried to be caring given the situation and aren’t actually bad people at all) will die is a bad thing? To me those are just reasonable, human responses to the situation he’s suddenly thrust in. Like yeah sure the Strike is a cool robot and all that, but to quote Athrun, it’s not like Kira can just “go fight a war with a smile” you know?
#Gundam seed#Kira Yamato#I am so tired of seeing all the hate towards him come back with seed freedom#he’s always struck me as a pretty reasonable main character#I just hate how it’s fine if someone else does it but if Kira does it it’s automatically bad#the haters say Kira has some crazy ass plot armor but tbh Athrun’s is just as thick#you can’t tell me Athrun doesn’t have Cagalli-shaped plot armor with the number of times she’s bailed him out#even Athrun’s big I Took An Arondight To The Cockpit And Lived moment was thanks to Kisaka (so Cagalli)#anyway I’m just venting with this because I just think the haters are being ridiculous

i need a some angst for just a moment
armin grieving for his family? and i dont mean in little ways, i mean like he has a full on breakdown because he was never in a situation where he could safely go through the grief and emotions fully
Ooouuughhh T^T
Tbh the topic of Armin and his parents is one that's very close to my heart, because it is just... so... terrible and painful to think about. Though Isayama never showed him grieving, I think he tried to deal with it as maturely as possible, given he may not have wanted to worry his grandfather more than necessary. Furthermore, I like to think he wasn't able to talk about it with Eren or Mikasa, since he might've felt it too insignificant, especially when those two's lives seemed more tumultuous and Armin was already highly conscious of appearing as a crybaby/weakling. He just held it all in.
Still, being left behind at that age by his very own (and I hc, loving) parents, because they chose to go on a dangerous adventure the outcome of which they weren't certain, leaving him in the end without parents must've been... a HUGE trauma. To me this is his primary source of the fear of abandonment. The reason I hc his parents were loving (even if undeniably a bit neglectful) is that it's so much harder to reconcile with the fact that that love can never be felt again. At such a young age, when love is an essential part of growth, to be "abandoned" the way he was because he "wasn't a priority enough", would've been incredibly damaging.
Armin grieving for his parents is a very very slow process - it takes years and years for him to understand what the loss really DID to him, even at his level of emotional intelligence. The effect of parental neglect is something even we as adults struggle to come to terms with.
And he's just 19.
It takes years, and it takes a great deal of painful tears. He misses them.
He doesn't even know what it's like to be a son.

Anonymous said: "Izuku cries about snakes not having arms."
Katsuki's expression grew heavy, feeling his chest twist into knots when he heard the remark. A year ago, he would have readily agreed with the greyface. He used to call Izuku a crybaby all the time when he bullied him, but now...
After seeing how closed off Izuku became to protect everyone close to him...
He honestly wished Izuku would stop holding his emotions back. He'd prefer crybaby Izuku any day after whatever bullshit the nerd was pulling now.
"...he doesn't," he corrected quietly. "Not anymore." He shook his head. "...he doesn't cry enough. He just walks around lying to everyone about how 'fine' he is." Crying over a morbid joke just showed Katsuki a glimpse of the type of trauma and depression Izuku was dealing with, and the helplessness he felt for not being able to do anything to help him.

Yandere! Uta Alphabet
Yandere! Uta x GN! Reader This was meant to be in the time where Uta was alone on Elegia with Gordon btw.
Affection : How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?
She mostly shows it in a physical way, but she'll show you verbal affection too.
She loves it when you're head is on her lap and she's playing with your hair, singing you to sleep.
And for the intensity, she can get pretty intense at times. It's Uta after all. It mostly happens when her possessiveness takes over. Luckily that's not all the time.
Blood : How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?
Oh she'll get her hands bloody for you, usually when she's jealous and needs to get rid of a threat to you and your relationship. Constantly reminds you that.
But there's just you, her and Gordon on Elegia. So she doesn't have to get her hands dirty.
But if you're even being too close friends with Gordon she'll punish you. She can't bring herself to kill him. As much as she wants to whenever she sees you being close with him, something inside her stops her from doing so.
Cruelty : How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?
She'd baby you a lot, forces affection on you and will get angry quickly if you push her away.
I do see Uta mocking you. Maybe she'll tease you for trusting her so easily, making it a piece of cake for her to keep you on the island (or trapping you in her room).
She'll call you dumb at times and make you feel like a complete fool at the start when she's got you in the palm of her hand.
E.g., "Aww, Y/N! You're such an idiot! But I guess you always have been! Gosh, you really are too trusting for your own good!"
But that's only at the start, luckily.
But what stays is when she mocks you when you cry.
E.g., "Don't be such a crybaby Y/N!"
She apologizes after and calls it teasing, she feels bad for mocking you still though.
Darling : Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?
She does what she wants. Like giving you affection, touching you, dress you up, etc... (I do see her making love with you, even if you don't want it.)
So if what she wants happens to be against your will, that's your problem, deal with it.
Exposed : How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?
She doesn't seem like the trauma-dumping type of yandere. Maybe she'll open up on her perspective of her past.
That's only if you gain her trust though. She's pretty closed off.
She'll be surprised if you comfort her but definitely pleased and grateful. She'll become emotionally dependent on you if you do comfort her.
Fight : How would they feel if their darling fought back?
I see her becoming EXTREMELY pissed. Like, how dare you?
The mood swings are so mentally draining.
If you fight verbally she'll tell you off and her temper shows.
If you fight physically you might be able to hurt her, but she'll fight back and sing so you go to the Uta world.
She'll feel especially betrayed if you fight physically and the punishments will be worse.
She's gonna punish you there, and you won't be able to hurt her again there.
Game : Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?
This is not at all a game to her. She'd be extremely upset seeing you try to escape. She LOVES you. Her feelings are not a joke.
Would lock you in a room to punish you.
Hell : What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?
The punishments, the mood swings, the emotional manipulation, the guilt-tripping and more.
Just Uta is NOT a fun yandere when you act out or don't act the way she wants you to.
Ideals : What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?
She wants to live peacefully with you in the Uta world. Giving her fans the untroubled lives they want while living a tranquil life with you is still her dream.
Maybe she wants you to become an idol with her to perform and everything. To let the whole world know you're dating her. But that's just her possessiveness talking, she doesn't want to burn you out with all the difficulties so that just stays a thought in her mind.
Kids aren't really a thought for her. But she doesn't mind having 1 or 2.
Jealousy : Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?
Uta is a very jealous yandere, but luckily for you, she never has the chance to be jealous since there's no one else on the island, except Gordon.
But she's the type who'd lash out at you and the other person, then storm off to be angry else where and cope by ignoring you and trying to convince herself she doesn't need you (and fails).
Then caves and clings onto you while threatening you to stop talking to that person.
Kisses : How do they act around or with their darling?
She's a mix of sweet, lovely with cruel and temperamental. When you don't act a general way, she's gonna be snappy. You have to think twice about everything you do or say to not get her angry.
She's a sweetheart when you don't push her away. She's fine if you begrudgingly let her be affectionate with you.
Love letters : How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?
She'll be very sweet. She'll try not to intimidate you with her being a popular idol and everything.
She'll bring you handpicked flowers and try to charm you while being herself.
But if you reject her she'll kidnap you.
Mask : Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?
Not really, but she's more temperamental and more sweet.
Naughty : How would they punish their darling?
I don't really see Uta as the punishing type. But if I had to say, there are a few things.
I mostly see her using isolation. She'd lock you in a room or something.
She'd ignore your pleas to get out for hours until she KNOWS you learned your lesson.
The second option is where she'll make you feel lonely, saying rude stuff, making you feel worthless and alone then leaving you alone for a while to drown in your sorrow.
She knows how mentally destroying loneliness is, she experienced it herself after all, so she knows it'll work.
But she'll come back and act like she didn't do anything.
Oppression : How many rights would they take away from their darling?
A lot at first, the right of privacy and personal space, those are gone forever. The right to go out and the right to dress sometimes.
She just likes to doll you up sometimes regardless of gender.
Patience : How patient are they with their darling?
It's a 50/50 with Uta. She's completely deranged for you and wants you badly. She's willing to do anything to get you.
She's just not sure if she can wait for you to love her back.
Quit : If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?
Move on? Haha, that's funny. She would not be able to move on.
If you somehow manage to escape, she'll hold a huge grudge. She won't try to chase you to the ends of the earth.
It only encourages her with her massive plan. She'll get to you and once she finds you in the Uta world- Oh she'll give you a time worse than an eternity in hell.
The only way you can die on the island is by suicide. She's absolutely miserable. She's falling deeper into the abyss of insanity.
First she was abandoned by Shanks, now she loses you? She'll assume it's cause you preferred to die than be with her (it probably is) and she'll be feel so guilty. She might as well kill herself too.
However! If you escape and die, she'll cope and convince herself it was your fault. You were perfectly safe with her. But you just had to expose yourself to the dangers of the world.
Doesn't change the fact she'll destroy the one who killed you though, even if she dies trying.
Regret : Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?
Lol no. Maybe she'll let you around the island for sight-seeing, fresh air since no one else is around but that's it.
Stigma : What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?
I feel like curiosity would be the main element in her obsession.
Let me set the scene with the 'washed to shore' route. She found you unconscious and took care of you. She was curious since it's been forever since she saw anyone else but Gordon in person.
You knew her since she was a pretty famous singer. You told her about the outside world and you became friends.
She featured you in some of her videos, seeing you happily interact with her fans made something bubble inside of her. She fell in love with you then.
The new emotion you brought her intrigued her, and she wanted to explore it, she started stalking you then. She labeled that what she felt was love and started courting you.
Tears : How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?
She'll feel so guilty. I know I've been mentioning her temper a lot but it doesn't change the face she's a sweetheart. She'll try her best to comfort you.
If you're screaming and crying out of anger she might get a bit irritated but will still try and be reasonable before losing it and using punishments.
Unique : Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?
I mean do you count allowing you to roam around the island as plenty of freedom? If that's plenty of freedom to you then yeah.
Vice : What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?
When she opens up to you about her past and what she did to Elegia. You could use it against her. Make her feel guilty about destroying Elegia
She'll be betrayed but she doesn't get angry and punish you, she'll distance herself from you to think about her emotions.
You could use that time of her isolation to escape.
But you need to gain enough trust so that she opens up
Wit’s end : Would they ever hurt their darling?
Mentally, yes. But physically? Only if you REALLY piss her off.
Xoanon : How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?
Oh she worships you sometimes but also doesn't?? She wants you a lot, treats you like a god/goddess but also wants a normal relationship?
Yearn : How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?
Let's be real, the girl is mentally unstable even without the wake-shrooms💀
Her mood swings would be CRAZYYY if you don't start showing signs of affection for certain amount of time.
I'd give you 2-6 months if stockholm syndrome doesn't kick in.
Forever if you play along with her.
Zenith : Would they ever break their darling?
No. I don't see that happening. Maybe on accident with all the emotion manipulation, guilt-tripping and over all mental torture is too much and the darling will just go boom💥 ================================================ Hi, hope you enjoyed this. Thanks for reading 'till the end, I had a lot of fun writing this, literally kicking my feet and shit.
Please feel free to request (begging actually) Rules are here - Character list here

Man, idk why I’m so insensitive sometimes
(Mini complaining rant below)
I get angry at people when they act like I did before I got tough. Even though I remember how much it hurt being told I was being a whiny crybaby, that I needed to suck it up... I still do it to other people. Now that I have a higher pain tolerance, now that I don’t cry whenever my feelings get hurt, I’m turning into the people who hurt me.
So what if I can fracture my arm or break my nose and not give a shit, that doesn’t mean I have the right to get bitchy when someone complains after I flick them too hard! So what if I’ve had worse experiences than someone else with something that traumatized them? That doesn’t make their trauma invalid! So fucking what if people go to therapy for things that I’ve gotten through on my own??? It’s my own fucking problem that I’ve never been to therapy! I am not better than people who want help just because I learned how to deal with my problems on my own!
What the fuck happened to my compassion? Why can’t I just feel sorry for people without thinking “they need to suck it up. I would be able to”? What is wrong with me?

Dear Meshi Master, is Marcille despite being much older, wiser, more experienced, more serious about studies and career (I mean this very kindly) less mature than the Toudens? In the sense that she needs hugs, praise and reassurance which she was not getting w/ Falin gone (Laios tries but he's not comfortable giving hugs). I think about this when she's crying her eyes out and/or hugging someone like a baby koala.
I think maturity level is something hard to quantify, people "mature" differently depending on their life experiences and especially in Marcille's case as a half-elf it's pretty inconsistent
There's also a difference between being someone smart/wise/responsible and having emotional maturity (or emotional intelligence idk). I'm not that knowledgeable in the subject and Marcille still has lots of growing to do in the emotional side but I don't think she's really that immature.
Needing hugs praise and reassurance and I'll even add the fact she keeps toys and is invested in fictional characters, I don't think those make her immature, tbh some people like Shiro who bottle up things instead of letting it out like Marcille could be considered more immature. Look at how Izu reacts to Marcille letting her emotions show.
Izu is still very young so she doesn't have the "emotional maturity" to deal with someone who wears their emotions so genuinely like Marcille (She's trying tho, very cute). In this situation I think Izu is the more immature even tho Marcille is crying out like a baby, cause Marcille is allowing herself to feel what she's feeling while Izu isn't equipped to deal with those feelings properly.
I think there's some aspect she's still working thru tho (which I don't think there's an specific age where you're supposed to be done working thru) and the others aspects to me seem more like parts of who she is, she cries and hugs and wants words of affirmations but it's not like that side of her impacts how she deals with important things. Marcille can be serious and calm when the situation asks for it, for example when Senshi is taken by the Griffin Marcille manages to calm down enough to think of something while Laios is in full panic, he relies on her when he can't deal with things himself.
And after that she fully takes lead of the situation. She's whiny and a crybaby but she's still "mature" (whatever that means) if you ask me. There's several other examples but it's easy to tell if you compare with how the younger characters like Izutsumi and Pattadol act.
Hopefully this makes some sense, I'll admit I don't really understand what is being "mature" or not, it's something that feels pretty arbitrary to me.
Edit: just to add, I do think Marcille has a childish side to her and that it is part of her character, her childhood had lots of inconsistency and trauma associated and she even gets the childish ear warmers in her dungeon lord outfit. That's the part I mean when I say she still has things to work thru due to past trauma and she's also just young in general.
#Take everything I say with a grain of salt idk what I'm saying#Marcille Donato#dunmeshi thoughts#ask#meta ask#dungeon meshi spoilers

One Piece Shipping War - Round 2 Side B
Propaganda under the cut.
Propaganda for Marco x Izou:
They just look so good together.
Shared trauma of losing loved ones just makes the bond stronger.
Propaganda for Shachi x Penguin:
They may be underrated characters with very little screen time, but you can see that they clearly are affectionate with each other (ex: hugging in the manga) and also speaking at the same time, sharing thoughts, and beyond that, they grew up together. They've clearly known each other for a long time and typically work together very well. They are a package deal, you cannot separate them <3
Two idiots with one braincell/ two bros sitting on each other laps because they're gay / it's not gay if it's the homie
Law officiated their marriage fr
They're overcompensating for how gay they are for each other and everyone can tell
(Headcanons included) Everyone who likes a cute younger brother aura X a serious Tsundere older brother aura would love this ship! Shachi and Penguin know each other before they even met Law. I think their parents are on good term since they went to the beach together. I like to think that they knew each other since birth. They are both very close, and inseparable since forever. And it would be cute to think that the both of them only has each other. A cute and shy Penguin being best friend with a fun and exciting Shachi ( ꈍᴗꈍ)♡ They both survived the tsunami together. And since Penguin was the oldest one. He would feel like he had the responsibility to protect Shachi. Big brother aura Penguin! He loves Shachi so much that he would do anything to protect him… They are very close for a long time because they knew each other's blood type and Shachi invited Penguin to stay at his uncle's house. ✨But of course, the uncle and aunt were abusive. Since Penguin thought that he had to protect Shachi at all cost. Penguin would always be the one to receive most of the physical abuse. Shachi would be a crybaby and cry everytime he sees Penguin in pain. But Penguin would always say that he was okay. (skipping to growing up) there's also that time where a bomb exploded. Instead of worrying about themselves, they cared about the other person more ✨I think it was Penguin would called out for Shachi? Then, there was the fighting scene on swallow island where ShachiPen fought the enemy together. I like to imagine the both of them already liking each other since their younger age. Especially Shachi. Shachi who had been protected during his childhood by Penguin decided to become stronger for him. Because of INK, my favorite artist, that drew a lot of ShachiPen, I have their version of ShachiPen stuck in my head. And it also became my headcanon. Shachi became a lot stronger than Penguin and it is now his turn to protect him. Hehehe. After Savaody I like to imagine that something bad happened to one of them. Then they finally confessed their love. ♡(ŐωŐ人)

Why I Don't Write Zell Dincht
On this mother's day, I find myself forced into thinking about motherhood and the impacts of motherhood on every human life.
Much more rambling beneath the cut.
I think about motherhood a lot. Mainly because I am indeed a mother myself. However, being a mother was only a catalyst for me in understanding why my own mother was the way she was, and how that affected me. The way I have unlearned and learned how to mother is only a by-product of this.
Today, of course, it's all highlighted. The obligation. The memories. The fucking balloons in the grocery store. It's all so much more complicated than I ever imagined, and I doubt I will ever stop processing it so directly on this specific day every year.
Luckily I’ve been processing it for long enough that it is no longer raw and painful and explosive. Now I can type coherent sentences and be genuinely okay with the amount of introspection the day still brings.
And though today I am moved enough to write about it here, this analysis is constantly brought into my fanfic writing. I could argue that the influence of one's parents (or lack of influence or lack of parents) is the root of everything I write. Often it's hidden below the surface of my words, and often I don't recognize it's there until afterwards, but it's a profound fundamental influence nonetheless.
Maybe that's why I've always been drawn to Final Fantasy VIII. The main cast are all orphans. Rinoa is the exception, but losing her mother at age five and having a terrible relationship with her father put her in a similar-enough category. So they're all ripe for that trauma of not having a sturdy parent-child relationship, especially in their early days.
I have headcanons for all of these poor babies, all based on their early separation from their parents and why they turned out the way they did in their late teen years. Why Seifer wants to be a knight, why Selphie enjoys explosives, why Irvine is a secret sweetheart behind his macho facade, and why Quistis has a thirst to prove herself. I plan to write all of these as their own fics.
Except for Zell!
Why? Well, Zell is the only one who wound up with a reasonable mother. He was orphaned just like the rest of them, but something happened when Ma Dincht picked that little blonde tornado from the line-up. Something clicked in that little heart of his, and it's my biggest headcanon that Zell “Crybaby Chickenwuss” Dincht is the most emotionally well-adjusted of the whole lot.
He's the one who's never been afraid to express himself. He's completely forthcoming with his intensity and his feelings. He's willing to let you see his true self.
And though it seems cringe (or at least it did for me as a teenager), this authenticity is something those of us with poor parenting often struggle with. We were taught from day one that our cries, our anger, our enthusiasm is too much and should be stifled in order to save others the energy from having to deal with it. Instead, children should be blindly obedient, seen and not heard.
Not so for our darling Zell! Ma Dincht saw a crybaby and thought, “I'll take him.”
Of course, not everyone struggles with writing Zell because of this. See @angelosearch’s beautiful take on this in her fic: The Ballad of Ma Dincht. And for further reading about Zell’s earliest years, see @gardengalwrites's Boardwalk Bratwurst.
So, on this complicated day, I find solace in the idea that there are Ma Dinchts out there. And if you struggle on this day, I hope you can take comfort in my ramblings and know that your authentic expression is valuable, and it's well worth the time to seek out those who are capable of receiving it with open arms. ❤️
#happy learning-how-to-raise-yourself day!#my ellone fic scratches the surface of this concept#just know that the influence of mothers is actually the driving force behind that fic (when it eventually gets published)#edea plays a huge role in all of their lives#and i can't wait to dive into that#yes i decided to write this instead of finish my ellone one-shot lol#writing#personal#zell dincht#final fantasy 8#ff8#ffviii#final fantasy viii fanfiction

The main idw sonic comic clearly wants to capitalize on the "epic drama" associated with Modern Sonic but refuses to ever have anything substantial happen.
In the games Sonic and company deal with global invasions, all of creation being in danger, existential dread and etc.
In the comic Sonic and company deal with a street thug who might cause a city size accident when he's lucky, and crybabies who are very annoying about their trauma.
The only substantial event in the entire comic is the metal virus. And even that wasn't anything crazy by usual Sonic standards.
The idw comic keeps presenting itself as the absolute extreme of how deep and insane the Sonic series can be but the actual subject matter it harps on about is trivial at most
(Btw I'm not saying the classic games didn't have depth or stakes but the idw comics seem to treat classic sonic stuff as nothing more than low level romps)
Not to mention that the entire games cast needs to be nerfed and turned into incompetent helpless idiots for the sake of propping up their street level villain OCs. Game!Sonic would have just said fuck up and flew up to Clutch's stupid airship and started spin dashing his way through it and blowing it apart from top to bottom, and if Clutch got in his patch he'd atomize him on the spot. I know this because GAME SONIC HAS FUCKING DONE THAT BEFORE
But no, the writers of this comic think that Sonic having the capabilities he does in the game is boring or whatever their stupid fucking bullshit excuse is that's really just them exposing why they SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO WRITE FOR A FUCKING SONIC THE HEDGEHOG COMIC. So instead Sonic couldn't possibly just raid the airship because.... Reasons. (Gotta love how Tails is little miss "guys, that won't work" in this fucking comic)
Even though that's a retarded excuse because why the fuck would any of them even care.
And Sonic is such a weak loser moron in this comic that he's put on the backfoot by this pukestain who is supposed to be pushing fucking 70 or something and has no feats.
The fact this panel shows Clutch sidestepping and dodging Sonic THREE TIMES is fucking offensive. This comic OFFENDS me with the way it portrays Sonic.
The only way this comic functions in the way it does, which is propping up its OCs, is by making the ACTUAL Sonic character look like clowns. And yet it expects us to take it seriously. Serious drama, when half the cast are clowns.
