I’m wondering whether Fizz wears a clown hat all the time for protective reasons given that his horns must have gotten more fragile and sensitive after they broke or it’s because he doesn’t feel comfortable with exposing them (in contrast to his robotic limbs).

It could be both but I find it interesting that regardless of how unsettling it might sound Fizz made use of his robotic limbs given that they made him a truly unique performer in the Mammon Theatre whereas his broken horns are nothing but a reminder of his traumatic past.

Even when we get to see Fizz in casual clothes and in casual situations (The Full Moon for example, and it might be the best example given that Fizz had already quit Mammon by this time), he still wears his clown hat whereas his arms are clearly visible.

Fizz’s fan, a deaf imp, also has a broken horn, and unlike Fizzarolli he doesn’t hide it. There are so many little details in this show that turn out to be important later, and if in season 3 Fizz will have to learn how to accept his broken horns and not be ashamed of them, I’m all here for it.

Man idk the argument about hvy being a Chinese company and so they're restricted on having characters with dark skin tones when dislyte is ALSO a Chinese company and they typically are really good at representing the culture they take from for their characters makes it somewhat mute

Medical model - disabled people are impaired because their disability makes it harder for them to live/work/play, regardless of society

Some of the options lack nuance due to character limits.

Nyle DiMarco was born May 8, 1989 in Queens, New York. The 35-year-old model, actor and Deaf activist is best known for winning cycle 22 of the reality modeling competition television series America's Next Top Model and season 22 of the reality dancing competition television series Dancing with the Stars. In addition to modeling, Nyle has acted in Switched at Birth, Difficult People, Station 19 and Queer as Folk. He executive produced the Netflix original reality series Deaf U and the Netflix short documentary film Audible. He has appeared in the music videos for Alex Newell's "Basically Over You (B.O.Y.)", Dan + Shay's "Tequila" and Kelly Clarkson's "I Date You (ASL Version)". Nyle is 6 feet and 2 inches tall.

Nyle DiMarco is an actor, model, and deaf activist. In 2015, DiMarco was the winner of The CW's reality television series America's Next Top Model in season 22, becoming the second male winner and the first deaf winner. In the following year, he and professional dance partner Peta Murgatroyd were the winners of the ABC televised dance competition Dancing with the Stars (2005-) in season 22.

In a 2015 article with Out, DiMarco talked about his sexuality. He uses the word fluid to describe his bisexuality. He's been open about his attraction to men and women ever since.

DiMarco's activism led to him founding The Nyle DiMarco Foundation in 2016, a nonprofit organization providing access to resources for deaf children and their families. In 2020, he delivered the keynote address at the closing general session of the Annual Convention and Expo of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. He has also appeared in television shows such as Station 19 (2018–) and Queer as Folk (2022). 😎
