Man idk the argument about hvy being a Chinese company and so they're restricted on having characters with dark skin tones when dislyte is ALSO a Chinese company and they typically are really good at representing the culture they take from for their characters makes it somewhat mute

#Like ppl aren't even asking to make new body models literally just to slap on your darkest (which isn't even that dark mind you!) skin tone #On the characters that is inspired by mostly brown/black cultures #Also it a bad look when you can perfectly design enemies in those regions of having various cultures design such as dreadlocks but -#Not on your playable 'good guys' 😬#Natlan update is gonna be a mess with it characters I'm hoping it won't be as tone deaf like what happen w sumeru #The jeht world quest still fucks with me with how racist paimon became for that like jfc orz #Especially since with dislyte they got in trouble with the character design (half animal and death features) that they made alt costumes bu #Never touch the feature of any of their more ethic diverse characters like lmao? He executive produced the Netflix original reality series Deaf U and the Netflix short documentary film Audible. #song of the day #I'm at my grandfather's house now!#he's more than half deaf (partial hearing in only one ear) and the only thing more substantial than his record collection #is his sound system #CCR loud enough to feel in your bones. take a shower while the music plays and feel the water droplets vibrate as they fall. it's amazing #I missed the fuck out of this old man. had no idea the extent of it. I missed him so bad #old man with his La-Z-Boy perfectly molded to his body and his turntable collection and his novelty soda cozies and his model planes #it stormed like hell all day and none of us could hear each other speak over the wind and thunder and dogs howling and blessed CCR #so we've just been hanging out. played monopoly except again we couldn't hear so it was like monopoly + charades #sensory input through the /roof/ I forgot what it was like here. bliss for my brain #tomorrow if the weather stays calmed down I'm going to ask him what 'who'll stop the rain' is about #get those soothing background 'fuck vietnam' sounds going while I do my reports for work. missed this shouty old man like hell

Nyle DiMarco is an actor, model, and deaf activist. In 2015, DiMarco was the winner of The CW's reality television series America's Next Top Model in season 22, becoming the second male winner and the first deaf winner. In the following year, he and professional dance partner Peta Murgatroyd were the winners of the ABC televised dance competition Dancing with the Stars (2005-) in season 22.

In a 2015 article with Out, DiMarco talked about his sexuality. He uses the word fluid to describe his bisexuality. He's been open about his attraction to men and women ever since.

DiMarco's activism led to him founding The Nyle DiMarco Foundation in 2016, a nonprofit organization providing access to resources for deaf children and their families. In 2020, he delivered the keynote address at the closing general session of the Annual Convention and Expo of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. He has also appeared in television shows such as Station 19 (2018–) and Queer as Folk (2022). 😎
