Tips for handling a daydream block
It happens to all of us at some point, and it sucks. here are some tips on how to deal with it from my experience.
There can be different or causes to it. First, you have too many thoughts. Whether it's because you have a lot on your mind, because you're stressed, or whatever other reason, if your brain is too full, it can be hard to daydream. Second possibility: your brain feels exhausted, empty. You're tired and it's hard to think, period. Third, you're just out of ideas!
✦ If you can and like to meditate, meditation is one of the best ways to calm down your thoughts and give your brain some respite.
✦ Napping can help rest too! Depending on the person, this might not help if you're in the first case though - I know it doesn't for me for example.
✦ If you lack ideas, look up some prompts, or maybe get into a new series or book! You need to feed your creativity, along with letting it rest.
✦ Do something else! Go for a walk, do some coloring, try a new art form, change up your habits! This can both help you get inspired and rest your creative muscles.
✦ Chat with other daydreamers! Whether it's gushing or venting, not feeling alone is a great help in feeling better
Now, while those are great to help getting out of a slump, sometimes only time will truly get rid of the block. In the meantime, there are ways you can stay connected to your paras and paracosms!
✦Make playlists your paras would listen to ✦Make moodboards ✦If you've written or drawn things related to your daydreamns, look at those ✦Make your paras a list of books they've read, would like to read, would dislike, etc! This can work with hobbies, movies, cartoons, food,… ✦Create a timetable of a typical work/school day of your para if it applies ✦Make jewelry for your paras; you can wear it to feel like they are with you or to think of them. ✦Make collages or art inspired by your paras, paracosms and daydreams! It can be super abstract! ✦Create outfit boards for your paras ✦Make memes about your paracosm ✦Try a meal or snack your paras would like! ✦Fill in personality quizzes as if you were your paras
Rest well, and happy daydreaming friends! 🪁🌟🫧

My verse's miscevese!
Magic creates dynamics. Those dynamics are instinct-based and social.
The three main dynamics are sola, luna and stella, but fluidity exists, just like with gender.
Here's an example: an intruder situation. Once realising what's happening, a sola will usually confront, or at least be ready to fight if needed. They want to be the only ones the intruder notices. A luna will make sure everyone not able to fight or not willing to hides safely and isn't discovered. A stella would try to locate and stalk the intruder, and if needed/possible call for help.
Solas are radiant. They usually wear their feeling on their face and have visible magic traits. They're stubborn and ambitious. They tend to preen. they like to perform for those they love, whether in sport, art, or anything they're good at. They also put a lot of effort into their appearance.
Lunas are more discreet. They don't wear their feelings as loudly, but their auras*, once you feel it, speaks more than their face ever could. They're calm and collected. They love gifts, both giving and receiving. They're also usually very tactile.
Stellas are stategists. The solas may be the one barking the orders, but stellas are the ones coming up with them. They're analytical, great at pattern recognition and great mediators. They can see all sides of a problem. They're pros at acts of service. Whether it's making food or helping you find a solution for a random problem, they got you.
Subvocals depends on species. There is a learning curve to be expected in multi-species packs, but the process feels more intuitive for mates (whether platonic or romantic).
No sexual heats/ruts are caused by these dynamics. However, each dynamic goes through laskes. A laske is a period of time during which the individual'sd instincts are the strongest. They are more territorial, stick around their pack more often/more closely, and need more bonding moments with them. Laskes are cyclical and usually come about when the individual enters their deep-night season.
The body goes through 4 seasons in a year: the dawn, the high-day, the dusk, and the deep-night.
The dawn is the beginning of the cycle. The body is waking up after the last resting period, new projects are afoot, and an air of freshness goes through you. The high-day is the period following during which you are the most active. The dusk is when projects are coming to a close. You're finishing things, harvesting, and preparing to rest. The deep-night is the moment of the year during which you're the least active. You don't have anything big going on and take that time to rest. On a smaller scale, days follow this pattern too.
*(note: auras communicate everyone's "vibe")

Day 13: vivid imaginations
(Gonna catch up with the recent days I missed)
A lot of autistic people have extremely vivid imaginations, and can come up with wild and creative stories, concepts, and ideas.
I kinda live in my own head, way more than in the real world. I can spend hours upon hours doing nothing but pacing around my room, or even just sitting there staring into space, and imagine things, daydream, and come up with insane ideas.
When real life gets too much, or not enough, I retreat into my own mind to cope with it. Overwhelmed in a loud and crowded area that I can't leave cause I'm out with family? Gonna make things up in my mind that feel more real than everything around me. Bored in class? Gonna daydream the sickest fight scene you've never seen.

What is a para? I have seen the term a lot in madd circles and suspect is has to do with paracosms yet people use the term to refer to what seem to be like character/ ocs like an entity? What does it mean. Could u break down the common used terms in the madd community and perhaps some other kin things or give links or find where I might find information? -from someone who also has madd
Sure, with pleasure!
In short, a para is a character in your daydream. If I recall correctly, the term was created because "oc" didn't feel fitting, as madders often spend a lot of time daydreaming, and therefore most have a special bond with their characters.
As for some other madd terms, well! (in very simple terms once again)
A paracosm is a world/storyline you daydream about!
You might also find the terms immersive daydreamer and neuronarrator around. Those are terms for vivid daydreamers who's daydreams aren't maladaptive.
A parame is the "main character" of your daydream, the one you "fol.low" during.
A paraself is a version of you in your daydream.
For more about all this (more terms, resources,...), i'd like to redirect you to @acircusfullofdemons 's Ultimate Daydreamer's Guide , it's a great resource!
For kin vocab, it's quite large but I can give a few words of info ^^
Fictionkin, fictionfolk and isofic are terms for people who kin a character or pop culture creature.
Objectkin is similarly built: it is a term for people who kin objects.
Conceptkin follows the same pattern: term for people who kin concepts (like chaos, life, death, fear,...)
Otherkin is a word for the comm unity, a bit like alterhuman. It's an umbrella term.
Therians typically refers to people who kin animals existing on this Earth.
Kinsidering is a term reffering to discovering a new kin, thinking about it.
A mental shift refers to when you have a period of time during which you think like your kintype (more so than usual)
A phantom shift refers to a period of time during which you feel your phantom limbs, aka the limbs and body parts your kintype has, but your current form doesn't.

anyone else with madd & autism find themselves repeating the same daydreams over and over again, especially when stressed? i think it's because i like to have a sense of consistency when things seem uncertain, but maybe it's just a me thing, idk 🤷🏼

Just started watching dream productions (just finished episode one) and I already have thoughts, particularly about Xeni!
Headcanons:
They use they/them (if the show confirms otherwise I'll throw this HC away)
They were inspired to make daydreams by cult classics like What Would the World Be Like If I Was a Boy?, I Wanna Be a Pirate When I Grow Up, and I Wish I Was Home Playing Video Games Right Now.

alrighty maladaptive daydreaming community, I have news (who—
so apparently I have mixed personality disorders, I have traits of both schizoid AND schizotypal so!!!! yes sir I have a hard time keeping up with reality how did you guess!!!
but in all seriousness, if daydreams are affecting your life, especially if it's causing you some kind of paranoia, ideas of reference or like magical thinking etc, do consider seeing a professional about it!! you might be in the schizo spectrum!!!
again, take care and never forget that you are so brave and cool!!!

hate how people can't fucking differentiate between ADD and ADHD and don't understand that it has different degrees of severity like autism does. don't know if it's just a my country/language thing but here we call it either ADHD or attention deficit disorder kind of just interchangeably, which is a big fucking problem because it doesn't acknowledge the hyperactivity and everyone with ADD just gets lumped in as ADHD because I guess we forgot what the damn H stands for. nowadays every kid is getting diagnosed with it (often self diagnosed or by their parents just because they daydream in class and fidget sometimes) so I get situations where I explain to people how I need to pace around and I need constant stimulation and I can't retain information well and all of my ADHD traits aren't things I can just change and they go "well I/my kid/whoever else has attention deficit disorder and they don't need to do all those things, stop using it as an excuse" do you understand my hell.
