Who is God?

Quran, verse 2:255, vividly defines God as a deity (a worshipable being). There is no God worthy of worship except Allah, the One and only Creator of what we see and what we cannot see, what we know and what we do not know. Established upon His Mighty Throne (Arshil Azim). He is the owner of the Al-Lawh al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet) where it is written whatever He has asked His Pen to write upon it. He is ever-living and gives life and death to others, self-sustaining and gives sustenance to His creations. He is neither born nor gives birth to anyone, He creates whatever He wills by His Hands or just by saying “Be”. He neither dozes off nor sleeps nor eats or drinks. He is the Supreme Judge who doesn’t need any intercession to judge on the Day of Judgement, but His Mercy will allow only the selected ones to intercede whose knowledge is known to Him only. His Kursi (The Chair) extends over the Heavens and the earth and fatigue never touches Him. He is the sustainer and maintainer of His creation without any flaw. There is no one above Him, The High & The Great. [ Verse 2:255 elaborated]

Facts about the Bridge of Sirat...

1. Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) will be the first to cross it. 2. It's thinner than a hair, and sharper than a sword. It's placed right above Jahanam 3. Not a single person will be able to escape it, every soul must cross it. Except the disbelievers, their destination is automatically Jahannam 4. True believers will pass it like lightning or wind, some will crawl, some will slip and fall, some will be snatched and thrown into the fire 5. Whoever was slow to obey and worship Allah will pass over it slowly with fear.

I just saw a video that said,

“are you in a haram relationship because you think the person’s hot?

well, Jahannam is hotter.”

and I honestly don’t know how to react - it’s so true, but it’s also easier said than done.

because yes, Jahannam is definitely hotter. but there’s also the hadith about those who will get Allah’s shade on the Day of Judgement and “someone who resists temptation from the opposite gender” is one of them.

so, my dear friends who aren’t married and who are resisting temptations - what is the better bargain, a broken heart at the end or The Lord of the Universe’s shade on a day where there is no shade?

what will it be? a broken heart or shade when there will be others drowning in their own sweat?
