Studios are making billions while stopping projects, haulting original ideas, and putting many artists on unemployment and fighting for survival in a field they trained their lives for. Creatives are being taken advantage of and it's only getting worse with studios looking to use a.i. to cheapen work and make things based only on algorithms.

It's bleak, but we're working to keep art in animation. Help get the word out and support creatives you like. Many of us are now working to get our own ideas off the ground without the blocks of studios, constant rejections from disappointments that we're pitching original ideas (A real complaint I've received from studios), and without the many notes to make our ideas fit into a generic format. Instead of looking to studio CEO's, were looking to you to help us. Show studios you stand with us!

Animator and Writer Looking For Your Help

This is extremely accurate. I have no idea how long I’ll be out of work currently and I meet with a lot of friends in the industry in the same place. The time between projects is becoming longer and I’m at a point where I do love animation and telling stories, but I want to stop being dependent on studios and networks for a living wage. It’s terrible to constantly not know how long you’ll be out of a job with no insurance.

I’m going to try to get more of my work out there (Not by pitching to studios, that rarely goes anywhere. Especially if it’s an original story). I want to try book publishing again. Novels and comics. In the past, my stories had great reviews, but I could never get the word out on them. I’m hoping you’ll help me drive my work to being my full time job. I want to focus only on my own characters and stories without needing to desperately look for the next studio project to get onto. My stuff doesn’t get a big reaction typically, though Doris went further than most with her fan made Discord (Which I really absolutely love!) To keep these ideas going and building more, I need your help.

So, this took root 1 day to write, me 100 hours to draw and you 10 seconds to read (spend a little longer plz?)

Really proud of this one! I wanted to practice action and experiment with different coloring styles and I thank root so much for being patient as I tried out different things. Root, I loved going back and forth with you over the pages at every stage. I adore how you captured both Talanah's and Aloy's voices as they casually converse while fighting an angry Thunderjaw. Hope you enjoyed the Sunhawk teasing her Thrush!!

Minnie better freaking appreciate this stupid clock tower I crafted for her stupid mission I swear the things I do for love...

I like to headcanon that Doris could get some advice on how to parent a rebellious teenager from Goofy. Maybe Max, Roxanne, and Dawn could be friends!

Speaking of Dawn, here's wat she looks like compared to the reference pics. She's got a sweet gaming setup in her bedroom!

Tried to remake her Tshirt from her first appearance in the webcomic. She's supposed to be posing in front of her flat screen tv but it just straight up looks like a painting 😭

I also tried to make Doris' ascot which was super hard given the tricky mechanics in the design editor but I think this is good enough until I unlock more motifs

Next time I'll share the bedroom designs I've made for Doris and Dawn and even a sneak peak at Doris' trophy room too!
