A toon set to be a star, until she dropped out of the spotlight. Years later, Doris Doodle is looking to get back in the limelight.
Some of you know, I had to delete my other Webtoon account.  So I’m reposting some comics including Doris Doodle
I hope you’ll follow the story again. Once all the episodes are up, I’m thinking of revealing where the graphic novel is. It’s close and the art is looking great.
Also, sorry for being gone. Been in a very dark place recently, still working my way out of it. I’m hoping sharing work again will help, along with maybe helping anyone who needs an escape.
Also, I hope you’ll join the amazing people on the Discord! Seeing people enjoy these characters has been a great motivation for me to keep going. Thank you!

I deleted all my Twitter accounts. My Webtoon login was through Twitter so I had to delete that too.
I made a new account and I'm reposting things daily again if anyone cares to follow.

Still creating, Still working on books, Yes my post amount has been low.
I wanted to post more this October. Artwork, maybe some announcements on future stuff. Also wanted to answer more Doris and Dawn questions along with posting more lore from that story. I have been working on things. Still adding to the Doris Doodle graphic novel, about to get the Hundred Acre Kingdom out to print. I’m still going, but I haven’t been on social pages as much now.
I’m in the US and the stress of everything now has made it hard to get online and interact. Even going outside is difficult. I have a lot of anxiety and it has been very high most of the time recently. Going online right now really does help raise this up. I’m a person of color and I write a lot of stories that center on giving characters agency. Seeing people actively hate people like me and the people I create for has been extremely disheartening. I don’t like to talk about politics, absolutely not, but unlike when I was in high school and could work merrily away and look in on an election, now It’s an existential dread of possibly being in a dictatorship that sets everything back by decades.
I voted early, made sure my ballot reached its destination. I’m hoping that in a week I can start to relax, even slightly.
I’m sorry I haven’t been more active. Especially this month, Dawn’s favorite month. Very often while working I’ve had to take breaks once a great amount of dread sinks into my mind.
I greatly appreciate everyone who follows my work, and a special shoutout to the patrons and the people on the Doris Doodle Discord!! Seeing that kind of support for my work and characters really helps push me to keep making things and telling stories.
Hope to post more soon, and hope I can do it without feeling overwhelmed by the world.
Thank you,
Hasani

Well. Kickstarter was funded. Now what?
Now, I order a bulk of piglet dolls, which happened yesterday. Get all the official information for the book, which I submitted, just waiting on my library of Congress control number. Once I have that, I print and soon after start sending out rewards. And after that, I send copies to reviewers. There's much to do

Hey dawn you should join the Hot ones!
I'm all for it! So long as it's not in state. After a small, tiny, incident with a bit of wasabi where I maybe threatened people, damaged some property and other stuff I don't know because I guess I blacked out. I'm not allowed anything over mild around Burbank, most of the San Fernando area and a little beyond.
All I remember is it touched my tongue, and then I woke up on top of the observatory in Griffith with a court date.

Join the fight. Studios are making billions while stopping projects, haulting original ideas, and putting many artists on unemployment and fighting for survival in a field they trained their lives for. Creatives are being taken advantage of and it's only getting worse with studios looking to use a.i. to cheapen work and make things based only on algorithms.
It's bleak, but we're working to keep art in animation. Help get the word out and support creatives you like. Many of us are now working to get our own ideas off the ground without the blocks of studios, constant rejections from disappointments that we're pitching original ideas (A real complaint I've received from studios), and without the many notes to make our ideas fit into a generic format. Instead of looking to studio CEO's, were looking to you to help us. Show studios you stand with us!

Hi Doris and Dawn! I'm curious to hear how indie animation projects spring up. I would have thought the major studios would want to keep the formula for creating toons a secret - but apparently anyone can bring toons to life? Do you need a permit or special equipment or True Love's Kiss or something? How is that regulated?
Thank you for the question,
Not just anyone can make a Toon. Or at least not a living one. It's sort of like sculpting, molding and casting your own toys and figures from scratch versus using one of those printers. Except the printer is way more complicated and regulated. There's population to consider, the expense and housing. Studios like having a character that can walk around and promote a show, game, or product. They essentially make their own Brad Pitt, but they completely own Brad Pitt. control every aspect of his life and who he is. They even control where they live. Animation districts have been split up to sit next to studios (studios like to keep an eye on their assets).
So most indie and online projects are done by hand. But when something is bought out by a studio, Like Hazbin, Amazon adds the characters to their roster. Internet networks has made character creations more frequent, which is great. Unfortunately this also leads to a lot of cancelations, sometimes mid production. This could mean those new characters are completely erased. The studio gets a tax write off and a new Toon is gone forever.
Does this mean there are no rogue toons? There could be some. Like people brewing beer in their basements during prohibition. Little secret Toons.
Doris
