The height S J had reached is too far. beyond anyone else’s’ reach… no question about that… It is all before everyone eyes.. & ears…..Great, great personalities have accepted the fact. . The music pieces, the range, the varieties of tunes, the orchestration, the use of the violins & other instruments are mind-boggling. . They were the aadi & anth of a glorious height in music … . They brought the biggest orchestra to Indian scene ….how they managed it & how they recorded the magnificence with 4/ 5 mikes & limited facilities in recording technics is beyond imagination. The height of the popularity & the volume of adoration they earned, simply by merit, at a time when there were no boosting & bombarding media, is also unheard &unseen & beyond anyone’s grasp. They didn’t need any support from anyone, ..no big banners , no superstars were needed to take their music sky high ..Their merit was enough to take not only themselves to great heights but lift everyone who was associated with them to the same heights along with them . Sebastian & Dattaram were among those who zoomed high riding on the wings of S J. . When SJ started with Barsaat , which became a musical toofan , with all songs becoming super duper hits, competing with themselves, pushing one another to reach the sky . all of them, there was no Sebastian or Datta ram .. They had brought in their first movie only many new technics, setting a new trend.Thereafter raising & higher brought many variations, second track music, counters & fillers, showing India what is a true orchestra..At that period when there were only ‘sa re ga ma pa dha ni music in all the songs, they brought the new western music arrangement to India …They brought the chord arrangements, the counterparts, the backings, the fillers, obligatos & Overtures. The first, second music, overlapping alaaps, countermelodies arrived in their first movie only .. check with ‘Chodgaye Balam & other songs. No assistants & arrangers were needed… The macho music has landed in India! .There were no such backings in the orchestra,………till S J appeared in the music scene. People knew only simple straightforward music pieces, till S J entry. .

Seb & Dattaram came as arranger & assistant after S J had already reached the glorious heights in music arrangement… . Sebastian was lucky that Shankerji chose him to be his arranger & now he has got an important place in the music history of India… Any arranger would have got this place if Shankerji had chosen him… It is the S J music that took him to giddy heights & gave him the exclusive boon to shine… . As I had written earlier that Shankerji’s harmonium would bring out aaaal the new, modern pieces, the new patterns, the heart pulling pieces ..& what Seb had to do was just write them down in the music sheets & place them in the song….. . Slowly & gradually Seb grasped the S J style & became nr one arranger.

. When someone asked O P ji that how come Sebastian’s work is so great in only S J music, whereas he worked with many other M DS. I heard or read somewhere that O PJI had replied, that ‘ You have the answer in your question only… It is S J music that makes Sebastian come out great ..’ . What a wonderful reply! A great music director to say this about another great… Only a genius can give praise to another genius in this manner… . If Sebastian had any hand in the grandeur of S J music, how come he did not bring it out in other MDs music, with whom he worked ..?..He could have made those other MD s also give hundreds of hit songs & demand 5 lacs per movie .. right ..? How come he didn’t do that? .. Sebastian was an arranger, not music maker ..If he was capable of that, we would be having another S J in the name of Sebastian with another sack full of hit songs .. But, no, we are not having that, because Sebastian was no composer. He cannot create music & he had nothing to do with the creations of S J, other than just writing the music & arranging what was already composed.The magnificent pieces & the arrangement of the magical notes are all SJ creations, every bit, A to Z …… No one,s hands were there, no one,s hands could do anything & no one was needed.Actually, who could go near S J caliber? SJ themselves could give the whole world an ocean of music marvels & much much more to so many others..

. All the counters, the seconds, obligatos will come flooding out of Shankerji’s hands . Seb only had to pick those pieces & write them down in the same tempo as Shankerji’s hands. Gone piece will be gone piece .. it wont come again ….thousands of other pieces are coming out bursting ……….Seb will nowhere lag behind .. Quick in picking up the right piece, written down in a jiffy , he is ready to pick another piece …then to place them all in the song in the right place.

. If he had wanted, Sebastian could have become a music director himself.He had offers… But he knew his limits, he declined the offers he got, saying,’ that is not my job. If you have the talent of composing, you cannot leave the composing offer.You will jump up &definitely take it .. Means Sebastian did not have the creative instinct in him. He can do a great job in arranging the music which the M D had composed & that is it. He cannot go beyond that. That is why he could not do anything great in his job with other M D s & came out great with only S J. And he grew with the magic of S J. . Whereas Sebastian grew with S J music to greater heights, Dattaramji was zigzagging all thro .. . Dattaramji was just a rhythm player in S J orchestra .which you can see in this photograph in which Jai sab is conducting the rhythm section where Dattaramji is seen playing a rhythm instrument. . It is again Shankerji’s magnanimity that raised him from a rhythm player to rhythm conductor. Like always, like with so many other people he had lifted, Shankerji lifted Dattaramji also. Not only that, he gave him chance to give music in movies with Rajkapoor. So gracious & big hearted was Shankerji to give such a chance to an assistant … Couldn’t he have taken the movie himself?Have any other M D done like this anytime?

. .Many of the M D s of those times had Hindu assistants who were familiar with classical & light music. Some M Ds might have been telling their assistants to make the music for their songs.Arrangers were mostly Goan Christians & they wrote notations .. not make music . . But most of our great mds not only just composed all the music but worked for a long time making different pieces & checking, bringing out best music.I have read somewhere Naushad sab saying that he worked more hard in the music than the song. As for S J, sawaal hi nahi uthta hai .. .with the undrying ocean of music roaring within them, where is any chance for any arranger to get in? They had everything composed in excellence, the intro, interval, counters, seconds, fillers, all complete, each & every piece ready for the arranger to write & fix the chords.They had the most brilliant excellent magical music flowing from their hands & they built an ethereal heaven of music which will go on shining in the world forever. Who was needed to put char chand in their music? They have fixed pacheeson Chands in their hand…No arranger was invited to fix char chand in their compositions …Who could even come close to their melodies & music pieces? . Seb was required to control the sea of musicians in SJ orchestra, which was growing bigger & bigger all the time. Plus he had to write western notations for the musicians who read western notations.They all have to play at one time & since there were no track recording facilities at that time, conductors were needed to manage the huge orchestra.Seb, s job was to write all the music, place them in the right place as main music or counters, give the sheets to the musicians & lead them to play in unison . .

Dattaramji was also lucky that Shankerji gave him this chance .. Shankerji’s loyalty & steadfast sincerity made him stick to Dattaramji all thro ….though Dattaramji ‘s style slowly was lagging behind & not reaching to the level of the grandeur of S J music. . SJ brought new styles & variations in rhythm, but they all did not come out due to the lack of a proper rhythm arranger. Shankerji used to play & sing all the patterns while composing the song. The music pieces come out with Sebastian writing down most of them, but rhythm patterns which Shankerji would demonstrate with audiation sounds , by uttering the rhythm patterns by various sound combinations, went missing. You can watch in some interview videos how Shankerji demonstrate rhythm patterns. . While his tabla dholak arrangements were quite fantastic, Dattaramji was not as fantastic in the beats as to the most modern, rich, new wave music of S J in all those western style modern songs… With the passage of time & their hit parade raising higher & higher, S J music went on leaping to new heights But Shankerji, let Dattaram conduct the rhythm section in his style which was not rising to the level of the brilliance of S J music & lagged way behind S J magnetism.His tadipas & Dattu tekas were getting outdated & not suitable for the changing times & the latest, futurish music S J went on creating… The new crop of Disco Diggers mushrooming all over wanting to rock with the beats, the drums had to take over the reigns. If Shankerji had taken another new young rhythm arranger for his western style songs the rhythm would have been much more matching with their magnificent level . But Shankerji is Shankerji .. he will not hurt anyone .. he will take the hurt himself He cannot let his associate down ……….& he compromises… .

It would have been so much the merrier if Dattaramji was little more innovative & brought new variations matching those zinging zooming S J tunes instead of sticking to the tadipas… .There was a Himalayan scope in all those brilliant vibrant melodies of S J, for the rhythm arranger to come out with out of the world beats, variations, styles & patterns. But sadly Dattaramji stuck to his old style which made some S J lovers turn to other directions.. . Anyway, the power of the high volume magnetism & machoism in S J music is so enormous that it will not be affected by the lack of modern pattern beats. New wave rhythm or old wave rhythm S J dhuns will go swinging all over the world. No one notices or realizes the missing fireworkbeats in the songs. . Many new crops of rhythm players & conductors would have given the world to get to work with Shankerji.. but with Dattaramji around they would not dare coming close to Shankerji.

We all respect Sebastian & Dattaram.We respect them because they worked with the greats whom we love & respect…Shankerji,s & Jaikishenji.s association have given them this love & respect …who would bother about them if they did not work with SJ & worked with some other MD s? The love for S J is so enormous in all their chahnewale’s hearts that they will love anyone connected with them in any capacity. Does anyone bother about the arrangers & assistants of any other M D ? . I cannot go praising any persons unjustly ,unduely saying that someone had their hands in S J marvels & give credit to people saying they had inputs in S J music. I have a conscience, … for God’s sake! I have watched, the composing, the notation writings, the rehearsals & recordings…………and I can say with my head high before God that S J are the limit in creations & they did everything by themselves & no one did anything in their creations & none had any inputs in their creations …… Sure . the credit for doing a great job in arranging S J music in grand manner goes to Sebastianji .The understanding , the inner vibes& tuning he developed with S J made him dear to them ..That is all .. No credit for any creative job or having a hand in their music .if I did that to go along with the crowd I will be doing something wrong .

. I don’t know when, how & why Dattaramji left … But I knew when Sebastian left . Shankerji tells me, with a heavy heart that Sebastian is leaving. . I am shocked. I ask ‘ Why? What happened? . He says ‘ He is retiring .. Going to Goa ‘ . I could not believe it .. How can a professional retire? How will his talent take a bow? That too leaving Shankerji at this time .. after Jai sab left him? . ‘ Noooo.’ I say .. Don’t let him go ..’ . He says, ‘ I am telling him… He is not listening ‘ . I felt that Seb should not have left Shankerji at this crucial time… I could not forgive him…How did he have the heart ?… At least he could have waited until Shankerji found some suitable person. He was also like one of all those …who let Shankerji down ……..when he was going thro his dark time…This is not the best time for Shankerji to go & try new associations in his work. . True, it will not affect him, whichever arranger he worked with. But the longtime association, understanding & the rapport Seb shared with Shankerji are something which will not be easy to get from somewhere else, all of a sudden at a testing period of his career. . Shankerji takes this one & that one for arranging his music …with no proper result or full satisfaction … fighting his battles like a warrior without his chariot or weapon… . No doubt all those arrangers were brilliant in their jobs … but Shankerji,s extraordinary style is way beyond anyone to cope up with.Gradually all Shankerji’s new creations which were full of verve & vigor suffered without proper handling, accurate arranging & rhythm setting. ..Before he could get the new young talents get acquainted with his magic & come up to match his creativity .. he had to leave this world… . People say. ‘ Oh . some songs are loud, some songs are not so great ‘ Tell me have you seen anywhere in this whole world any MD who have given nearly 2000 songs . all great & all hits? If you compose thousands of songs, surely some of them will be little less sparkling… See the percentage of hits & the number of star-making songs… matchless! India is richer in music because of S J . If you imagine the music world without S J songs, you will see a bleak picture. . All artists, stars or singers, dancers or M D s, they all lose their charm after a particular period, though they cannot leave & retire because of their ego or greediness & they go on dragging forcing themselves upon the public with aged faces & voices. The public takes them because of the feelings it has developed for them during the past. . But Shankerji was not anyone. He was the specially created special genius, with an endless flow of divine music in his hands & brain. You have not seen the full real glory of his music! What you have seen is not even 1/10nth of his marvels. How can I tell you what I had witnessed during his composing & notation writing time? Which pen has the capacity to describe the glory ? Against all odds, handicapped with the lack of proper understanding assistants, he goes on with his marvelous creations. After Jaikishen, bearing his grief within himself , he comes out in his full charisma continuing the legacy of S J Janda . Left alone in disconcerting times with all sathis leaving him, his musical genius did not leave him. Being his lifeline , it lived with him as long as he lived. . Whatever, kami some feel, had come in his creations after Jai sab , is not in his creations, It is due to the grade of movies & work of the assistants. His work was as magnificent as ever . Many M D jodis finish off if one person leaves, K A, LP, Sonic Omi, Nadeem Shravan & as such. With Shankerji, it was as if Jaikishenji never left him. Shankerji’s music Ganga never stopped flowing…………until end came ………the hands stopped playing & the voice was silenced ……

Musical review of film Yahudi

Director: Bimal Roy; Producer: Savak B Vacha Artistes: Dilip Kumar, Meena Kumari, Sohrab Modi, Nigar Sultana, Nazir Hussain, Kamala Laxman, Helen, Cuckoo, Tiwari, Baby Naaz, Anwar Hussain, Minoo Mumtaz, Murad, Indira Bansal, Munshi, Bikram Kapoor, Romi, Adil

This is only film Shankar Jaikishan did for Producer Savak B Vacha, who died even before this film could complete. Also its SJ’s only film for Director Bimal Roy- a legend director, who happened to be producer also for many films- notable were Do Bigha Jamin, Parakh, Devdas, Madhumati etc. He normally worked with Bengali MDs like SDB and Salil Chaudhury, but I think, for Yahudi, Savak Vacha chose SJ.

This is based on historic theme of Romans and Jews (Yahudis) rivalary in Rome thousand of years ago. SJ, master of varieties as they are, blended their music perefectly with situation and time frame of story- lot of arabian touch in music. This movie is a masterpiece, not only for its music but also direction, acting,screenplay, sets, dialogues, acting and lyrics. Bimal Roy, as we know, was a master director. Film’s dialogues were very popular, eg. “Tumhara khun khun, hamara khun pani hai”. Two great actors of Hindi movies, Sohrab Modi and Dileep Kumar were at their best. The sets were very good and able to create scene of Rome hundreds of year ago. As usual SJ’s music was adding to magic- not only songs but background music too. On top of that simple but soulful lyrics by Shailendra- this film has 7 songs, in which 6 were written by Shailendra and he won first filmfare award for “Ye mera diwanapan hai”.

In the film title, Only Dattaram’s name appeared as Asst. Music Director, so I believe Sebastian was not assisting SJ in this particular movie. Movie start with instrumental music of song “ye duniya , ye duniya” alongwith titles. For a change, this movie doesn’t have any title song. Also there are only 7 songs and its pity, IMO it should have atleast 3 more songs because its romantic story in backdrop of roman-yahudi rivalry and there is only one song picturised on hero Dilip Kumar. Definitely hero deserved couple of more songs- IMO. Out of 7, only 4 songs are picturised on main stars, 3 went to supporting cast. But Bimal Roy used songs’ beautifully to support flow of story and nowhere they looked unnecessary or coming in the way of story.

Here are the songs and commentary on them:

1) ye duniyaa, ye duniyaa, haa_e hamaarii ye duniyaa. Singers: Muhammad Rafi, Chorus; Lyricist: Shailendra

Picturised on supporting actor, only Md. Rafi song of film- lyrics and music give voice to pain of yahudis due to excesses by Romans. Md. Rafi did justice in expressing deep sorrow and pain.

2) bechain dil kho_ii sii nazar, tanhaaiyo.n me.n. Singers: Lata Mangeshkar, Geeta Dutt; Lyricist: Shailendra

Dance song by Lata and Geeta Dutt- picturised on Helen and Cukoo (?). Its treat to see this for dance lovers. Energy of orchestra and of dancers competing to each other. Traditional orchastrisation of SJ and fast rhythem but still very melodious song. You may not impress with song in first go but after hearing few times, you will fall in love with this song. I feel SJ should have used Geeta Dutt for more songs in their films.

3) merii jaa.n merii jaa.n pyaar kisii se ho hii gayaa hai. Singers: Lata Mangeshkar, Chorus; Lyricist: Shailendra

SJ were not getting best only out of singers but from chorus too and this is one of example. This is picturised on main heroine Meena Kumari who looks very young and beautiful and supporting actresses. Its a sheer melody and more you hear this song, more you will like it. And what a simple way to express feelings by Shailendra- “jinki nigahon ne ghayal kiya, unhi se lenge dil ki dawa, na ham muskurate na wo pas aate, uski mili hai saja kya kare….”

4) aate jaate pahluu mein aayaa ko_ii, mere dil batlaa na chhupaa. Singers: Lata Mangeshkar, Chorus; Lyricist: Shailendra

Meena Kumari sings and dances while Dilip Kumar looks at hiding. Shankar Jaikishan actually known for variety and no other MD gave so many different kind of songs so you can not associate a single style with SJ but nevertheless by hearing some songs itself, especially their orchestra, you can identify them as SJ song and this is one of them. Use of violins, mendolin, congo, bongo and dattu ka thheka (dattaram’s rhythem)- a distinctive SJ song. The tune of mukhada is not so ‘catchy’ but antaras’ tunes are more attractive, especially when Lata take alaap aa, aa, aa…..and goes back to Mukhada. The continuously playing rhythem instruments are the main attraction of this song.

5) dil se tujhko bedilii hai…ye meraa diiwaanaapan hai. Singer: Mukesh; Lyricist: Shailendra

Most hit song of the film, Mukesh beautifully expresses romantic as well as sad feelings at same time! Only song picturised on Dilip Kumar, which is quite unusual given the stardom Dilip kumar was enjoying and looking into his fondness for songs. Mukesh used to be voice of Dilip Kumar in late 40s and early 50s when Rafi was not established- In Naushad’s 1949’s superhit Andaz, Mukesh sang 6 evergreen song for Dilip Kumar while Rafi gave playback to Raj Kapoor!!But then Rafi and Talat Mehmood became voice of him, and Mukesh started getting identified more as Raj Kapoor’s voice. In early 1950s, Mukesh volunteerly left playback to pursue Acting career but miserably failed commercially and was struggling literally to get back his foothold in playback singing. It is said that this song and same year’s “Suhana safar aur ye mausam hasin” again picturised on Dilip Kumar gave him fresh lease of life and after that he never looked back till his death. Ironically he never sang for Dilip Kumar again. It is well known fact that Dilip Kumar wanted Talat to sing this song but Shankar was putting his full weight behind Mukesh. It is said that few people associated with movie wanted Rafi for this song. Shankarji has confirmed on record that Mukesh’s name was finalised by toss but even then Dilip Kumar wanted his approval before song finally goes to film and when he heard recording in voice of Mukesh, he embraced Shankarji for his judgement- for Shankarji made this song keeping Mukesh’s vocal in mind. The moment mukesh starts with lines “dil se tujko bediili hai..” one get immersed in melody of song. Interludes of song are very good and no need to write about orchestra which is outstanding by default as per SJ standard. Two lines of song repeats at the end also.

6) aa.nsuu kii aag leke terii yaad aa_ii, jalte hu_e raag leke. Singer: Lata Mangeshkar; Lyricist: Hasrat Jaipuri

Only Hasrat song of film, a very beautiful sad song, sang perfectly by Lata Mangeshkar. There is arabian touch to orchestrisation and instruments supporting singer like ‘chorus’. This is also one of the great feature of SJ songs, where musical instruments play such prominent role in some of songs, to such extent that without them song loose its sheen. Absolute melody- classic- what to say more?

7)dil me.n pyaar kaa tuufaan na samjhe ko_ii naadaan. Singer: Lata Mangeshkar; Lyricist: Shailendra

Picturised on supporting actress, I could not recognise- may be Kamla Laxman. This is very good dance number with long prelude. SJ used big orchestra for this but still its nowhere become loud. Needless to say Lata’s rendition was very good.

In summary, this is a classic SJ album, definitely in best 15 of them. Everything in music department was great here- lyrics, orchastrisation, rhythem, background music, preludes and interludes of songs, rendition by singers and picturisation- absolutely fantastic!!! !!!!!

My sincere thanks to RajPrakashji Ratnam for providing me DVD of Yahudi twice, without which this review was not possible. Due to my limited knowledge of musical instuments and raags, I have not touched that part and that is lacking in review, but hopefully our learned members will add that in their comments to make review more meaningful.

NEW DELHI: Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik on Friday came down heavily on the Sports Ministry for leaving her name out of the final list of Arjuna awardees. The ministry decided against bestowing the Arjuna on Sakshi and weightlifter Mirabai Chanu as the two have already been conferred with the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award.

Speaking to IANS, Sakshi said she is disappointed with the government for ignoring her achievements. “I always wanted to be called as Arjuna awardee Sakshi Malik. The athletes do everything to win such accolades. He or she wants to win all the awards. That’s what motivates us. “I don’t know what I should do to win the Arjuna award. I am happy to be conferred with the Khel Ratna award in 2016. And I respect it too. But I always wanted Arjuna. That was my dream,” a fuming Sakshi said. Last week, the Justice (retd) Mukundakam Sharma-led selection committee had recommended 29 names for the Arjuna award to the Sports Ministry. The list also included Sakshi and 2017 weightlifting world champion Mirabai, but the decision of bestowing the Arjuna on them was left to the discretion of Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju. This was due to the fact that they had already won the Khel Ratna, the country’s highest sporting honour. Athletes who will receive Arjuna award this year are: Atanu Das (archery), Dutee Chand (athletics), Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy, Chirag Chandrasekhar Shetty (badminton), Vishesh Bhriguvanshi (basketball), Subedar Manish Kaushik, Lovlina Borgohain (boxing), Ishant Sharma, Deepti Sharma (cricket), Sawant Ajay Anant (equestrian), Sandesh Jhingan (football), Aditi Ashok (golf), Akashdeep Singh, Deepika (hockey), Deepak (kabaddi), Kale Sarika Sudhakar (Kho Kho), Dattu Baban Bhokanal (rowing), Manu Bhaker, Saurabh Chaudhary (shooting), Madhurika Suhas Patkar (table tennis), Divij Sharan (tennis), Shiva Keshavan (winter sports), Divya Kakran, Rahul Aware (wrestling), Suyash Narayan Jadhav (para swimming), Sandeep (para athletics) and Manish Narwal (para shooting).

NHRC Chief: Government needs to tell what it has done to end the menace of manual scavenging

Expressing serious concern over the continuance of manual scavenging in the country, Mr. Justice H.L. Dattu, Chairperson, NHRC said that the Government needs to tell what it has done to end this menace. Merely putting laws in place will not to be suffice; the ground realties need to change. He was inaugurating the NHRC’s ‘Open fourum discussion on the issues and challenges of manual scavenging and human rights at the Commission’s premisies in New Delhi on 24th May’19

Justice Dattu said that even after the intervention of the Supreme Court in the matter, it appears that the laws to eradicate manual scavenging are lying on the table and may remain so unless implemented proactively. It’s a curse on society that we continue to hear about the deaths of people while cleaning sewage without protective gear, which amounts to violation of human rights. We hear about such incidents happening in the National Capital, imagine what will be the situation in the other parts of the country. The Commission has taken suo motu cognizance of 34 such incidents in the recent past. The NHRC Chairperson said that this menace should have ended long back by adopting some system as in developed countries.

Ms. Nilam Sawhney, Secretary, Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment said that the eradication of manual scavenging remains very high on the priority of the Government. Several programmes, policies and welfare measures, including the legislative and programmitic interventions, have been introduced and are being implemented to achieve the desired results.

She said that as per 2018 survey, there are 173 districts in the country where the problem of manual scavenging still continues. 34,749 manual scavengers have been identified so far. Uttar Pradesh tops the list with 16663 followed by Maharashtra with 6387 manual scavengers. Efforts are on to identify the manual scavengers for their rehabilation through skill development and financial assistance. Identification of dry latrines and their replacement with proper toilets is an ongoing exercise. The Railways have upgraded more than 55 thousand coaches with bio toilets so that human excreta does not fall on the tracks. 464 workshops have been conducted in various Municipalties for awarness about the laws on eradication of the manual scavenging and welfare measures for the rehabilation of manual scavengers. The focus is on shifting hazardous cleaning to mechanized cleaning.

Mr. Jaideep Govind, Secretary General, NHRC said that no doubt work is being done to address the issue but a lot needs to be done to eradicate the manual scavenging and open defecation. Many open defecation free villages are returing to older ways; availability of water remains a concern. The Minsitires need to own up the lot of problems to help them find solutions thereof. He expected that they will proacticevely and timely send the requisite reports to the NHRC as well as the compliance reports.

Many important suggestions emerged during the discussions, some of which are as follows:

Ensure strict compliance of the legal provisons to eradicate manual scavenging;

Increase the amount of scholarship for the children of manul scavenger upto Rs 5000 per month;

Disclose data on the number of manual scavengers in every part of the country proactively;

Make it compulsory that only those will be engaged for the job for cleaning, who are trained for the job and registerd;

Conduct survey and an audit on the incidents of deaths while cleaning sewage/ drainage to know the causes and suggestions for remedial measures;

Release data on the people got scholarship and rehabilataed;

Prepare a safety gear a kit and provise it to the municipalities which can give it to to people involved inb the job of cleaning;

K. Jindal, Joint Secreraetry, Ministry of Urban Housing Affairs, Mr. Alok Kumar, Executive Director, Railway Board, represenataives of UN and other international bodies and civil society, including among others, Mr. Bejwada Wilson, National Convener, Safai Karamchari Andolan, Ms. Suman Chahar, Vice Presodent, Sulabh International, senior officers of the NHRC Mr. Prabhat Singh, D.G.(I), Mr. Dilip Kumar, Joint Secretary(T&R), Dr. Ranjit Singh, Joint Secretary(P&A), Dr Sanjay Dubey, Director.

Weekend: Spent Friday night and Saturday with G. I brought groceries so we made breakfast. We cuddled all night. Talked and had a really good night. He finally made me swallow, and I did and I was okay. It was a lot better than I expected and I kinda enjoyed it. We talked about it and he made sure I was okay. He also saw the look on my face when I was trying to get it all down and he said “you really don’t like that” I had to explain that what I expected was worse and that I was preparing for that. He was good with it though. We tried to have sex, but it didn’t really work. my discharge was weird and he wasn’t in the right head space. I told him its okay, we don’t always have to have good sex. Friday night I gave him a really nice massage before bed, then had him lay down with his head in my lap and I massaged his head and jaw and really got him to relax. He questioned my intentions. I told him that I have the power to help him relax and feel a little better and I really want to help. I enjoy giving massages when people appreciate them and enjoy them. He didn’t believe me, but I tried to reassure him, I also made sure I didn’t ask for anything. He fully asked me what I wanted. I said “nothing” because I don’t. I want friendship and appreciation, but I already know he enjoys being around me, most of the time at least.

Saturday night I had my Nonno’s birthday and when I got home later that night I looked at my work email...why...I really don’t know. There were emails from Chantal asking about files and saying I am not doing what she asking. I got really mad and fought back, told her how it was. The next day she texted me complaining about something else, so I called her. I just wanted to squash the issues, hear her say what she had to say and thats it. I also apologized for the email, because at this point I did feel bad.

Week: Monday I was really scared to go into work, because of how the weekend went. I did get ignored and brushed off for most of the morning. She eventually started making jokes and I showed her I was working hard and on top of things and everything was fine. She also asked me to clean and close and I asked if it was my redemption. She laughed, it totally was. Everyone helped me clean Monday night and it was really lovely. I really appreciated it. Monday morning G texted me saying he got let go, I didn’t believe him at first because it was April Fools, but then he quickly explained what happened. My face dropped. Jeff even noticed and asked, he also asked throughout the day if G was okay. Which was nice. Since I was off Tuesday I asked him if he wanted to do something, I really wanted to make sure he was okay, plus take his mind off things and keep him busy.

I went over and we hung out, he explained everything, cleaned up a bit. He showed me new jobs he was looking at and talking to me about opportunities that may arise. He seems okay, but I am worried. I told him that if he needs anything he can just message. I also told him if he continues to keep sleeping shit and really just needs a cuddle all night or company to let me know, because I can go to work straight from there in the morning and be okay. We decided to go for a walk. He hasn’t been to the lake since he has moved in so we went there. Sat and chatted by the water while the sun was setting. We walked back and he had drinks planned with a friend that used to work at the company he got fired from. While he went to get a drink I did some stuff for work and cooked us dinner. He was super grateful for that, I think he really needed someone to help him out and just cook for him. I also said I don’t want to overstay and he said that when he is alone he goes funny and he was more than happy to have me there. After dinner we just hung out and relaxed. He asked me about if I liked when he eats my ass and I said yes, and then we started talking about me riding is face and I said I have never done it. He asked me if I wanted to try and I asked to wash right before. He said yes. We experimented. Do I love being eaten out. No. Do I hate it. No. He focused on making me feel comfortable and we 69′d and he made me just ride his face for a bit. Made sure I knew he was enjoying it. It was nice. I love when we can learn one another’s bodies.

We were watching Cut videos and there was a question about best sex partners. He asked me if he was mine, and I agreed. Its the best sex I have ever had and the most emotionally safe sex I have ever had. He said that he would say the same. He asked me which time and I said that when we were on the couch and it felt different. Then he asked about the time my eyes were rolled back the whole time and I said, yes that one too. I asked him, he said he doesn’t think of it like that, he thinks of it as a whole. That is fair. It was super flattering. Im someone’s favourite person to have sex with. I thought I was shit.

There was also another point of conversation that excited me more than G will ever know. He said “would you go on Vacation with me? I know we aren’t dating or anything, but we both need someone to go away with” I said yes so fast and explained how badly I want to go away, but I have no one to go with. Only problem is he wants to go between now and him finding a job, we don’t know how log that will be. Could be a week, could be a month. The only time I can really take off is the first week in May. I need to ask how serious he is. I can put it on a temp hold while we see where things go. Its a convo we need to have, I just don’t know how to bring it up. I will find a way. It was a dream come true. I have been wishing for this opportunity. May be too good to be true.

Today, I went to go get Katrina’s dog from the airport. Took it to her house. Spent time with it. Then I went to pick up Rushi and we went to the Humber for the Gad showcases. I stayed at photography and he went to his, but it was nice to see him. All the teachers were happy to see me, they all talked to me. All of them wanted help with somethings, except Charles, but I offered to watch his house for him. I told him not to feel bad. He can go on longer vacations. I am here. Greg asked if I could take an intern, also he wanted help with skills. David asked me about Skills. I asked David if he could talk to Neil and ask about training. That would be awesome. I really want to work for the school at some point. It would be a dream. Teach kids, learn from them. Really speaks to me. I really want the teachers to know I am here and that I support the school and the program and the kids in it. Dattu was also really happy to see me and so proud of me, it was really nice. He said that Rob F did what I am doing and look where he is now. He really believes in me, they all do. I forgot that. It means a lot though. I needed a boost of confidence. I really miss them all. I miss being the star pupil haha.
