I think you should know, when I saw things around Shadow start glitching out in the new Dark Beginnings episode, I thought of this comic.

Was also joking about this in my discord. FIRST they steal MY SHOT for their damn MOVIE and NOW they steal the very CONCEPT of beginning a story with a NIGHTMARE SEQUENCE? GRARRGH

okay wall of dark beginnings episode 2 thoughts incoming . spoiler alert obviously

one of my only complaints about the first episode is that there wasnt enough maria but i also said that under the assumption that she would Only be in the first episode so. glad to see her again. i no longer think that the first episode didnt have enough maria. also i know shadow wasnt particularly happy to learn that hes part black arms in shth but to hear him say out loud that the black arms are ugly and heartless and that hes no different than them is so. man. now im even more curious how hes gonna react to the doom powers thing . also maria telling shadow he'll find people he can trust one day as it cuts to rouge and omega showing up is sooooo . what if i died .

also i wasnt expecting the gun commander to be in this . they did that for me and the like 3 other people who remember him. not that i actually like him that much i just cant help but notice that people talk about shadow and marias life on the ark as if the gun commander wasnt there (like saying shadow and maria were the only kids on the ark or whatever). also its kinda funny they decided to use his name from archie sonic. i mean fair enough he never had a name in the games but any other time sega likes to ignore archie sonics existence

anyway. good episode. looking forward to the next one

He is not to be messed with. And yet even after being attacked with dozens of missiles and effectively getting rid of all of them, he lands on the craft of his attacker, who is frantically trying and failing to eject before he crashes.

Shadow smashes the glass and raises a fist as if to punch him, and the G.U.N. soldier flinches. And instead, Shadow hits the button to eject the soldier.

This is Shadow. He is brutal and he is formidable but he is not cruel.

It appears highly territorial, and will relentlessly chase down those who disturb its skywide patrols - of which it seems to be endlessly searching for either a long-time vassal or foe. Unfortunately, it seems the spirit within has long since forgotten exactly who it was looking for…"
