i love that it was established that clay slept around a lot before moving to tree hill cause of the whole dead wife promising to never fall in love again thing but when the writers decided to give him a kid they decided not to go with the cliche ex fling had my baby and i didn’t know about it trope and instead make him go into a dissociative state multiple times until he’s checked into a mental hospital where he bonds with a random kid and suddenly remembers that him and his wife had a baby and he just forgot after she died and the kid he’s been hanging out with is his son
