hello :) I don't know how frequently you still play dao, but I'm trying to get into it and was wondering if you have any favorite cosmetic mods? or any mods really that you'd recommend?

gameplay wise id say just batter thru i cant rly think of any mods that would be needed on a first run tbh 🤔 i havent used any faster combat mods but that might be something to look into if youre not used to older games and finding it slow?? but the story is so worth it either way rly game of all time to me i hope u enjoy it if u manage to get into it🥺♡

I’m so curious if during Wei Wuxian’s Yiling Patriarch era the people of Yiling could recognize him.

We know he went into town and was treated pretty normally. It could be that people didn’t know who he was, or they knew did and didn’t care, either of which would be incredibly funny:

Yiling citizen: Oh look there’s the radish guy! He’s quite nice, always sweet to the kids and his radishes are surprisingly good!

Congrats, Jin Ling! You have 3 different poses, showing three different levels of irritation, making you the most complex character so far.

His sprites were traced off of Cody Hackins from 1-2. His little puffed-cheek sprite screamed Jin Ling.

(NASA announcer voice) Aaaand we have soundtrack. I thought Luke Atmey's and Furio Tigre's themes both suited Jin Ling pretty well. Other contenders before I decided on Moderato 2004 were Allegro 2002 and Investigation - Middle 2002.

(I always feel hesitant when drawing fanart on paper, but I've been feeling such a strong pull towards traditional art lately (as you can guess, I tried and couldn't bring myself to work on this comic digitally), so I want to see if a switch from digital fanart to traditional is possible and worth if for me).

The same events evoke completely different emotions in them. Feng Xin and Xie Lian talking about the luxurious feasts in the royal palace feel nostalgic and Mu Qing thinks about the greasy looks that some noble guests would throw at the pretty servant, sleepless nights spent washing the magnificent clothes on which the prince accidentally spilled a drink or dripped sauce and how after barely resting he will prepare the morning outfit for the prince as a day of grueling training awaits them. He remembers the cold tone of the guoshi, tryings to slip away from a group of bullies and work work again.

He recalls waiting for the week to end so he can return to his poor little house and feel the warmth he's been dreaming of as he hugs his mum tight.
