Trump basically declared disabled people ‘unfit to work’ as he put it by revoking the Equal Employment Opportunity Law of 1965. It means employers no longer have to legally give accommodations to disabled employees. This will render so many Americans jobless and barely anyone is talking about it because disabled people like me are treated as expendable.

Listening to Dan and Phil on Shut Up I’m Talking and man, I love how grown up they are. Like actually, literally, behaving like mature adults who talk about business and marketing and gatekeepers and long-term career choices. It feels good that they are real functioning adults and they make the content that they do, because it makes space for me/us to be real functioning adults and enjoy the content that they make.

Because they’re right; there IS a sense in society that “Dan and Phil” and “YouTube” and being “chronically online” and participating in fandom is juvenile. But guess what? Being fun and silly and weird and gay and hopeful aren’t juvenile qualities, they’re just things capitalism society doesn’t want grown-ups to express. Because being an adult is antithetical to joy, apparently.

But Dan and Phil have created a safe environment for being both grown-up and indulging in joy. Hearing them talk like mentors to younger internet folks like Tom and Jack, and hearing them speak so professionally about their careers really brings out the maturity of their content and I really appreciate that.

am i the biggest fan of daniel ricciardo ? no . but as a logan fan , seeing how logan was dropped mid season , seeing how his team treated him , i have to say the way vcarb is doing the same thing is absolutely insane to me . and the fact that they're not verbally saying that , "yes , he's being dropped ," instead hinting at it with everything they're doing .

daniel sitting in his car for a while after the race ended to savour the moment , because this is likely the last time he'll be in formula 1 . his team applauding him as he returns to hospitality , lined up to the entrance like some final hurrah . him crying during the post-race interviews , and his goodbye practically being a tv pen interview ? it's all just so ... reminiscent of what happened to logan , in a way . and i hate that this is happening another driver .

like , again , am i a fan of daniel ? no , and my opinion of him changed to mostly indifference after the start of this year with horner . but is this entire thing sad and really messed up ? yes , absolutely !

human to human i have sympathy for this man and i empathize with him . no driver should have to reach for the end of a season , just 8 more races left , hoping to get through it and keep their seat at least to the end of the season , only to have that completely crushed and get dropped . like i said before , as a logan fan , it's really upsetting . seeing my driver dropped in that way was awful . seeing how he was treated by his team and the whole lead up to his being dropped was a feeling i wish no other driver's fan would feel . and yet , here we are , with another driver being treated the same way . and again , you don't have to be a fan of daniel to realize that this is fucked up . and it's such a deja-vu moment of what happened with logan that i honestly feel sick .

truly , it's sad , and i do hope the rumours aren't true for the sake of the dreams of the little boy wanting to get into f1 . the dreams of a kid who did so much in the sport during his early years , coming to such a devastating end . for the sake of the dreams and health , especially mental , of another human being .

please remember to be kind and respectful to the driver and his fans . you may not like him , but he's a human and we can be the bigger people and show empathy . we as logan fans know what it's like for our driver to be dropped mid-season . the least we can do is show support for the fans who have to see the same thing happen to their driver in such a cruel way .

I think the thing about Max and Daniel is the fact that Daniel is the exact opposite of what Max was used to in life. Max grew up with Jos, a man who would constantly belittle him and make him seem less than what he actually is. Then comes Daniel Ricciardo, a man who's confident in himself and always laughing. A man who did so many things to make Max laugh. Daniel never really thinks about what other people think of him, he's like a bird that just spreads his wings and let's the wind direct him.

And that's what Max needed at that point in his life. Max was like a parrot locked in a cage, repeating the insults his father said, to himself. People would constantly say Max couldn't achieve anything and redbull was making a mistake, but Daniel didn't. He saw what Max was and what Max will be. He made Max happier and free. Imagine if Max and Daniel never met bro.

um hi, since i have mentioned things about Eric Bogosian being perfectly capable of portraying a seductive predator (which made some of you seek out and watch Special Effects, I AM VERY SORRY), i feel like adding a tiny bonus

in Special Effects, he's around 30; in Wonderland (yes, the GIF is from there, but for the love of all that is holy, this is also not a particularly good movie, be forewarned!) he's around 50; in IWTV he's around 70. usually one can tell something about an actor reaching their prime, or limiting their abilities, or something like that

Eric, for lack of a better word, is not just consistent; he is always WHOLE

if you've seen him in his 30s, you know he is capable of the same movement patterns and weird verbal shit and quirky facial expressions in his 70s. the only difference is maybe that he kinda runs slower and is less willing to get naked

honestly, to me watching his works isn't like perceiving different stages of development of the same picture; it's like looking at a stereo image with all the added layers from different angles

p.s.: i know this explanation hardly makes any sense but my morning is lacking coffee, so i needed to speak of anything that gives me the energy boost to get through the day

p.p.s.: honestly, speaking of Wonderland - the most memorable part of this movie is him enthusiastically telling a story about the actual wounds the handcuffs left after filming, and the way it took a year to fully heal...
