Another Dream Thing--Daniel version this time.

Ophelia Miranda Character

Ophelia Miranda is a OC from @melancholypancakes on tumblr.

Ophelia is not a Canon character to the sandman comics or show, she was not created by Neil Gaiman.

[Comics]

Franchise wise, Ophelia is portrayed as a normal teenage girl in the sandman comics.

Ophelia is a lucid dreamer who has been in a coma after a car wreck accident.

Ophelia has the ability to astro-project in the realms while she is in her coma.

Ophelia purpose is to help Morpheus in the dreaming realm and preventing the realms from colliding creating chaos.

Ophelia appears as a teenage girl with blonde hair, blue eyes and wearing red.

Ophelia and Morpheus relationship in the comics are platonic and treated as a father and daughter relationship.

Ophelia dresses emo while Morpheus is Gothic, Ophelia emo in the way of her colorful clothes from back 70s/ 80s fashion.

When Ophelia death comes in her 40s, she reincarnates as her daughter’s new born child.

Ophelia’s granddaughter Anastasia who looks like a younger version of her.

This is around the time when Morpheus died and was reincarnated as Daniel Hall.

Anastasia has abilities of a seer and the spiritual realm especially the dreaming.

When Daniel Hall and Anastasia meet it was like meeting each other all over again yet it wasn’t the first time.

Daniel had his former memories but Anastasia didn’t but she felt as she known him for a long time…

"It's you..." he whispers.

"It's me..." she responds smiling warmly...

Should they hug?

Should they….

To Daniel and Anastasia’s surprise she was the first to hug Daniel and cried, “I missed you so much!” She exclaims.

Daniel was shocked to say the least but her warmth and sunshine behavior was still the same.

Daniel slowly and surely hugged her back, whispering “I…missed you too.”

However, in the show Ophelia is seen as as a young witch woman in her mid-20s.

Ophelia poses both Gray and hereditary witch magic.

Much like in the comics Ophelia is in a coma cause by a car wreck accident.

Ophelia can astro-project and has powerful witch abilities much like her family members.

Like in the comics, Ophelia purpose is to help Morpheus prevent the realms clashing together that would create chaos and to save all.

Unlike comic Ophelia, she is Hispanic and has golden flame eyes in the TV show.

Ophelia relationship with Morpheus is Platonic for a short time before developing chemistry romance.

However, many things stand in the way of the love birds.

Nightmares, monsters, demons, lucifer, gods, endless including Despair and Desire.

Ophelia is in a love triangle between Morpheus and Desire.

Desire as a love interest is disastrous for Ophelia since all it would be was lust instead of love along with communication.

It would also ruined her relationship with Morpheus who she deeply cares about.

Ophelia also knows Desire doesn't love her but the idea of her.

She knows she reminds Desire of his lost love Aphordite.

Ophelia and Aphrodite share the same kindness and love but as well a darkness they can relate.

Because of these flaws in Ophelia and Desire relationship she refuses him.

No matter the lust she force herself not to give in knowing it wasn't real ad Desire wad only using her to get to Morpheus.

Ophelia wasn't in love with Desire either so the feeling was mutual.

Ophelia was in love with Morpheus, in the beginning they were acquaintances.

Slowly over time they've developed a friendship despite how cold Morpheus could be and how much of a sunshine Ophelia was he opened up to her.

Ophelia is understanding, apologetic, kind and sweet the complete opposite of Morpheus.

Ophelia and Morpheus understood each other with darkness and the loneliness inside them especially their each other's past.

Morpheus knew Ophelia past before she even told him but he was an endless it was obvious he already knew and as for Ophelia she waiting til Morpheus was comfortable enough to tell her his past no matter how bad it was.

Ophelia and Morpheus were like a grumpy x sunshine.

So in the end, Ophelia chose Morpheus and they both confess their love for one another.

Author note: I honestly would ship Daniel Hall x Anastasia as I ship Morpheus x Ophelia :)

Comic-wise Morpheus and Ophelia never had a romantic relationship but more a a friendship/family bond since that all it came to be (Ophelia was a teenager that was in a coma)

But reincarnated Daniel and Anastasia could have a romantic relationship if it develops in their reunited friendship

Ooooooh I love how his face is reminiscent of Tom Sturridge’s OG Dream, most art of Daniel makes him look very different, but I think the similarity in looks is kinda poetic in a sweet, sad, nostalgic way. And tHE COLORS OOUUUGGHH THE PASTEL AURORA-BOREALIS COLORS!!!! His little star earring 🥹🥰
