Ugh I’m so frustrated right now! So I’m watching Dangerous Liaisons (the show on starz) and I was really liking it, the costumes and hair (which often I have the most problems with in terms of accuracy) look really really great like you can tell the costume designers did their research, but then in episode 6 they went and put in not one but two corset lines!!! CORSETS WEREN’T A THING IN THE 18TH CENTURY!!! THE SUPPORTIVE GARMENTS WERE CALLED STAYS!!! One line was about tight lacing and the other was about how it makes it difficult to breathe 😭😭😭 I was like nooooo it was going so well! Do better and hire a historical consultant :(

Okay but real talk I kind of lowkey LOVED the Dangerous Liaisons (2022) show by Starz and I honestly have no idea what that says about me as a person (other than I love smutty fanfiction, for that show was absolutely and shamelessly an E-rated AU canon-divergence fanfiction of a beloved Indictment Of The French Aristocracy.)

I want to do a S1 Mortel gif set of Victor & Luisa. That’s such a great coupling and I want to complement my S2 gif set of them. 😊 I need to re-do the S1 gifs I have already, tho, as most are under 2MB. Wish we were getting a S3.

Dangerous Liaisons 2022 on Netflix is an entertaining distraction I discovered a few weeks ago. I mainly enjoyed it for the 🔥 chem between the leads who play Celene & Tristan but it’s pleasant enough overall. I’ve already done a few gif sets on here searchable by characters names and actors names.

I’m chuffed about DC Titans ep 4x05 as it’s supposed to be heavily Dickkory. 💖

Currently gif’ing Cassie-centric gifs from ABC’s Big Sky cause she deserves all the love. 👩🏾‍🦱 This season has been pretty good so far. Tighter writing and intriguing main arc.

I have to finish up Industry S2 on HBOMax. It’s a good show though I am side-eyeing them for fumbling Harper & Rob after that strong S1 relationship foundation laid out for them. 📈

I want to do a few The Midnight Club gif sets. 🛏  Hoping there will be a S2 as I thought S1 was interesting with its foray into grief, death, hope, and acceptance but Netflix is notorious for being slow with most of its renewal / cancelation updates.

I’m still doing occasional Days of Our Lives and General Hospital soap opera gif sets but my main ships are either split up or angsty in the last year. 💘

I also need to get back to my slow Hollyoaks’ McDean and Alles Was Zaehlt re-watches to make some gifs. 😘

I case you've been living under a rock, some Taylor Swift looks are on display at the Victoria & Albert Museum, and OF COURSE they have this yellow dress from the end of the Bejeweled video (I could not see the back, but I asume it is an English gown).

This dress seems to have been made for that video, and I couldn't find the costume designer credit, but I found a pair of dresses that could have been references for it (because OF COURSE I love yellow 18th century dresses): a robe à la française from the Kyoto Costume Institute and one designed by James Acheson for Dangerous Liaisons, and also seen in 1994 film Barcelona (see the full post about this dress from Recycled Movie Costumes here).
