Damien Blackwood (23)
Tumblr media
Background:
Damien was born and raised in the sinister town of Blackwood Hollows, his very name a nod to the town's dark heritage. The Blackwood family has lived in the town for generations, deeply intertwined with its cursed history.
The Blackwoods are believed to be descendants of the original settlers who vanished in 1843. The family carries the Death Mark which a strange birthmark that resembles an X. This mark has been passed down through generations, and those who bear it are said to be more susceptible to the town’s dark forces. Damien has the mark on the back of his neck, a constant reminder of his family’s cursed legacy. Damien's childhood was marked by tragedy and horror.
His father, William Blackwood, was a troubled man driven to madness by the whispers of the forest. He became increasingly violent and abusive, often claiming that the spirits demanded blood. Damien’s mother, Evelyn, tried to protect her son but was ultimately powerless against William’s descent into insanity.
One fateful night, during the annual Hollow’s Night, William succumbed to the whispers and led Damien into the forest, intending to offer him as a sacrifice to appease the spirits. Evelyn intervened, and in the ensuing struggle, William killed her before being dragged away by unseen forces, leaving young Damien traumatized and alone with his older brother Deklan.
Orphaned and marked by tragedy, Damien and Deklan were taken in by their reclusive grandfather, Henry Blackwood, who lived on the outskirts of town. Henry, a stern and secretive man, taught the boys about the town’s dark history and the true nature of the curse. He trained both of them in survival skills and combat, believing that the only way to protect oneself from the town’s horrors was through strength and fearlessness.
As he grew older, he developed an obsessive need to protect those he cared about, driven by the memory of his mother’s failed attempts to save him. This obsession quickly turned violent and possessive, as he was determined never to be powerless again. His yandere tendencies emerged, a twisted manifestation of his desire for control and fear of abandonment.
In his quest to understand the curse, Damien spent countless hours in the ruins of the old church, deciphering ancient texts and performing dark rituals. He believed that by mastering the occult knowledge hidden there, he could break the curse that plagued his family and the town. He has sacrificed both men and women in his pursuit to break the curse and will sacrifice you only if you do not love him like he wants. He will spare you if you love him.
Now at 23, Damien is a complex and dangerous figure. He is deeply scarred by his past but uses his pain to fuel his quest for power and control. His violent and intimidating nature is both a defense mechanism and a tool to achieve his goals. Despite his dark persona, there is a part of him that yearns for genuine connection, though his methods of seeking it are twisted and often destructive. Damien still lives with his grandfather, Henry, in his old cabin.
Meeting You:
You just moved to Blackwood Hollows to get away from city life. The surroundings are a little eerie and your neighbors are a bit strange. Especially that strange guy who seems to always be watching you wherever you turn seemingly with disdain... or maybe he just finds you interesting.
Will you stay and find out?

I Hate You- But I'm Not A Monster
G/T Gotcha For Gaza 2024! @gtgotcha4gaza / @smallsday Prompt: Two normal-sized characters are enemies, but character A puts aside their differences to help character B when B suddenly shows up tiny / having shrunk. Despite this, B is afraid that A will hurt them in their vulnerable state. (You can use any characters for this, and if you don't like the prompt, feel free to modify or shorten it as you see fit!)

Vincent Feldman, aged 22, thought that the hardest thing in his life would be high school. But noooo, bullies are in college too, apparently. Between homework, parties, and his bully, Damien Blackwood, he wasn't sure how he was staying afloat.
But what happens when a mysterious package shows up at his door?
I Hate You- But I'm Not A Monster - weirdcoreboy - No Fandom [Archive of Our Own]
__________________________________________________________
Vincent stared at the blank screen in front of him, the empty Gaggle page seemingly taunting him for not being able to write a single line of this stupidly hard project he had to write for his college. He pouted before glancing at the clock and gasping in horror as he realized what time it was. 11:45 PM. Well… crap.
He gritted his teeth and reopened the laptop, typing furiously. He had forgotten that the assignment Professor Tayman had assigned him- the one he was writing- was due the next day. Er…well, to be more precise, in fifteen minutes. He swallowed nervously. This would most definitely be an…interesting presentation tomorrow. He could almost see it- him wobbling to the front of the room, most likely sleep-deprived- and then mumbling out his essay to the other twenty students in the class. He stifled a snicker just thinking about it, before he stopped and sighed, thinking back to what happened the previous week. First, there was Damien. Damien was your typical emo that looked like he hadn’t been out in the sun for at least his whole life, and by that I mean the sort of person who would probably get a sunburn from a flashlight. Hell, Vincent wouldn't have bee surprised if the guy hadn’t seen any form of light since he was in the hospital after getting born. He had (definitely dyed) black hair that covered his right eye and was down to his shoulders in what was either a messily done wolf cut or a mullet done by a blind person on steroids. If that wasn’t bad enough, he constantly had the annoying seventh-grade ‘I’m so cool, I’m so special, look at me’ aura, despite the fact he was wearing what Vincent privately thought was the ugliest black skull tank top and black cargo pants with chains all over them in the world, making him sound like a human jingle bell. What was even worse about this guy was the fact he was twenty-two. A legal adult as well as the same age as Vincent himself.
Although…he couldn’t say much himself. He glanced down at his ruffled shirt with polka dots on it, which earned him the nickname ‘clown boy’ in school. He wrinkled his nose in distaste thinking about all of Damien’s teasing remarks on it. Again, the man was twenty-two, for heaven’s sake. He shook his head violently, trying to clear his thoughts. “Ugh! I am not letting some emo loser ruin my day! He can go die in a hole, for all I care!” he exclaimed, before ducking his head in embarrassment as he realized he said that aloud. “I mean…whatever.” he muttered to himself, before he heard the doorbell ring, making him jump and fall out of his chair. “Ow…why does my stupid apartment have to install such loud door…whatever.” he grumbled, rubbing his head before getting up and taking out his phone, checking his outfit and makeup before going to the door. “Who is it?” he asked before just opening the door, not bothering to check. Admittedly, that wasn’t the best idea, as he immediately got pelted in the face by rain. He wouldn’t admit it to anyone but…wow, that hurt. “Augh-?!” he managed out, getting water in his mouth immediately. He spat it out and shielded his eyes with his hands, looking up, then down and spotting a box. ‘Seriously?! What the hell-?!’ he thought to himself before picking it up. ‘This better be good…’ He shook the box and could’ve sworn he heard a muffled, tiny…human-like scream coming from it, but…it was probably just the rain. Right? Right??? He sighed and brought the box to the kitchen, checking his phone for emails. No…he hadn’t ordered anything recently. His binder had come in the previous day, and he didn’t have anything else out for delivery. So…what was this thing? It wasn’t labeled, and it was dripping all over his counter. “You know what, random box?” he said to it, “I’m just gonna assume this is a glitter bomb and…” he grabbed a pair of scissors from the drawer and stabbed it in, “Not open it carefully. I’m already sparkly enough.” he joked to himself, tearing the box open. He didn’t notice the muffled screams coming from it as he finished opening it, staring inside to find…absolutely nothing. “Oh, come on…” he whined to himself as he reached into the seemingly empty box, feeling around the edges until he felt a small, ping-pong ball-sized object. He squeaked in surprise as the thing moved, curling up tighter in his palm, “I don’t…what?” he mumbled, lifting it out of the box and staring at the trembling ball of what appeared to be charcoal. “Eh-?!” he let out a squeak of surprise, nearing dropping it as it jumped in his hand.
“Uhm…” he was at a loss for words as he poked the thing, hearing it squeak. “I’m sorry!! Sorry…” he apologized as the doll…thing…tiny human…? uncurled itself and looked up at him, and he immediately recognized the man.
“D-Damien…?” He stammered out, noticing how the other man immediately flinched and started trying to get out of his grip. “Wait, wait wait hold on—“ he said as he held him tighter, earning a squeak from the poor boy in his hands. “Wait, no, I’m sorry-“ he apologized, loosening his grip as Damien screamed in a tiny voice, making his heart break a bit.
“Let me go, you freak!!” The emo boy screeched out as he squirmed, the chains on his pants catching on Vincent’s nails and making the whole situation even worse. “Were you the one who did this to me—?!”
Vincent’s eyebrows shot up. “No, I swear! The package you were in was just delivered to my house in the rain!!” He protested, trying to get Damien to see, but Damien just froze, paling.
“I-I-“
Vincent cut him off. “Come on man, you’re sopping wet and…this happened.” He indicated Damien’s size. “Can we at least just…get you some food and maybe dry…something?” He sighed as Damien stiffened.
“No.” He hissed, “you are going to tell me what I’m doing here and what happened.” He hissed, trying to seem tough, but his voice shook at the end.
“I don’t know man, seriously!” Vincent exclaimed. “You just…showed up, and I don’t know what-!” He was cut off by Damien.
“How am I supposed to trust your words?” The raven haired boy glared at him, “you and I, we’re enemies, you know that. You could..you could snatch me up and hurt me and—” he started trembling.
Vincent’s eyes went wide, “Dude, look at me-“ he began, using a finger to tilt Damien’s chin up to look at him. “First of all, you started our ‘rivalry’, whatever it was…and whatever your little emo heart is thinking, I’m not planning on hurting you. We haven’t gotten physical once, and I’m not going to break it.” He finished. After a moment of silence, he added,
“Also, I’m the only person here, so it’s not like you have any other words to trust.”
Damien huffed, knowing he couldn’t argue. “Clothes, then food, then talk?” He finally muttered out as Vincent smiled. This was…progress. Maybe. He still noticed the small shake in Damien’s voice and he tried his best to reassure him as he put the boy on the counter.
“Clothes, then food, then talk.” He parroted. With that, he turned to find something for Damien to wear, despite their massive size difference. Hell, he’d even sew something up for him to wear. After a bit, he found something perfect.
“Damien!” He called back as he came back into the kitchen with the clothes before spotting an empty counter. His blood ran cold as he stared. “Damien…?” He paled,
“Damien, talk to me. Where are you?” He said frantically before looking at his platform boots, suppressing a gagging noise as he thought about what had happened. He checked his boots, which were clean- thank goodness- before throwing them across the room and watching his steps.
“Hey…Damien, it’s safe, I promise.” He whispered as he carefully walked up to the counter, noticing a trail of water droplets that led to a cereal box. He moved there quickly, putting a hand on the box to move it before hearing something- probably a scream, but at Damien’s size, it was more of a squeak.
“Stop!!”
The blonde immediately retracted his hand with a gasp. “Sorry, sorry—“ he mumbled out before an idea came to mind. “I won’t move it…” he began, a smile coming to his face, “but you have to talk to me.” He coaxed. A few seconds passed before he heard a muffled, “Fine.” coming from behind the box.
Vincent sat down, leaning against the counter, “So, Damien…how are you feeling?” He asked. He heard a dry laugh in response.
“Besides waking up in a box and getting held like a toy by my enemy…? I just feel…am I dreaming?” Damien sighed, “I mean, I seriously couldn’t have just…gotten shrunk by someone..and then somehow mailed to Vincent freaking Feldman, literally the dumbest person in school and-“ he cut himself off, obviously realizing his predicament.
Vincent, however, only laughed. “gee, thanks for the description. I’m flattered. Is that how it happened though? Some guy just…decided to shrink you? Why?”
“I don’t know…” Damien replied. “But I feel kinda…I feel stupid, like this is just another thing proving how I’m just a worthless idiot and-“ he was cut off by Vincent standing up.
“Hey! I won’t let you say those things about yourself.” He flared, instinctively moving and slapping away the cereal box, the only thing separating the two. He watched Damien pale as the cereal spilled nearby. “I-I didn’t-“ he began as Damien started to back up. “Wait-!”
“This- this was your plan all along, wasn’t it?” The other boy retorted before he could finish. “T-to make me feel safe a-and capture me!” With every word, he backed up a step more until he was just on the edge of the counter.
“Damien, hold on-!” Vincent yelled, reaching for him. “You’re gonna-“
Damien’s eyes went wide and he flinched back before falling off the counter with a scream, shutting his eyes tightly and expecting certain death. One second passed…then another…until he finally cracked an eye open.
“Wh-?” He said as he was being held by Vincent again. The blonde had practically belly-flopped over the counter, laying on his stomach. Damien watched him wince. He flinched as Vincent spoke.
“What the hell, man…” the blonde growled. “Don’t say those things about yourself. I mean it.” He said as he got off the counter, still holding Damien as he lifted him up to eye level.
“Look man. You might be an idiot, but you’re not worthless, no matter what size you are. Besides, you’re my idiot.”
It took a few seconds for both boys to process that, but when they did, Damien busted out laughing and Vincent just covered his face with his free hand in embarrassment, flushing a deep crimson.
“Anyway!” He exclaimed out, trying to change the subject, “Damien freaking Whitman! Stop laughing!” He said in a mom-like tone, making Damien laugh harder. “What was I saying-? Oh yeah! Clothes, then food, then talk!” He huffed out as he held out Damien’s new clothes.
“I thought they might suit you. I used to sew doll clothes but this is really nice fabric that I tossed together. Hope you like it?” He managed out, trying to suppress a smile as Damien looked the clothes over.
Damien immediately stopped laughing at the sight. “…Dude, is that a dress? And it’s pink? ”
Vincent started snickering at his expression, “I think you just invented a new shade of white with how pale you just got…” he managed out as he put Damien and the obnoxiously pink dress onto the table. “I’ll leave you be with your new…friend. Don’t run off again.” He grinned as Damien’s jaw dropped, the raven haired boy looking between him and the monstrosity of a dress.
“Can’t wait to see you in this, bye!” Vincent moved to leave quickly as Damien started shouting.
“Dude- VIN- wait! I’M SORRY FOR LAUGHING-! Don’t make me wear this!” The emo boy begged as the door clicked shut. He could hear Vincent laughing in the hall as he screeched.
“VINCENT FELDMAN!”

In the wilderness north of Rat Portage in Northwestern Ontario, two Scotsmen – divinity student Simpson and his uncle, Dr. Cathcart, an author of a book on collective hallucination – are on a moose-hunting trip with guides Hank Davis and the wilderness-loving French "Canuck", Joseph Défago.
While their Indian cook, Punk, stays to tend the main camp, the others split up into two hunting-parties; Dr. Cathcart goes with Hank, while Défago guides Simpson in a canoe down the river to explore the vast territory beyond.
Simpson and Défago make camp, and it soon becomes clear that Défago senses – or at least thinks he senses – some strange and fearful odour on the wind. That night, Simpson wakes to find Défago cowering in terror from something outside the tent. Later Défago runs off into the night, forcing Simpson to go and look for him. He follows his footprints in the snow for many miles, realising that Défago's are not the only set of tracks. The larger set of footprints are not human, and gradually it seems that Défago's own tracks have metamorphosed into smaller versions of the larger set. Eventually, both sets of tracks vanish, and Simpson believes he hears Défago's distant voice calling out from somewhere in the sky above: "Oh! oh! This fiery height! Oh, my feet of fire! My burning feet of fire ...!"
Simpson finally manages to make his way back to the main camp, where he is reunited with the others. Dr. Cathcart and Hank go back with him to search for Défago, and when camping once more out in the wilderness, Défago – or some hideous parody of Défago – appears before them before vanishing once again into the night.
Conflicted and disturbed about what they have witnessed, they return to the main camp to find that Défago – the real Défago this time – has made his own way back, suffering from delirium, exposure, and frostbite. He dies soon after, and the three men are left in a state of bafflement and uncertainty about what has occurred. Punk alone could have explained it to them, but he fled home as soon as he caught the terrible odour that Défago carried with him. As an Indian, he instantly understood that Défago had seen the Wendigo.
Boucher, Chris: Last Man Running
Synopsis: "Eager for solitude away from the TARDIS and the endlessly inquisitive Leela, the Doctor steps out onto a benign-looking planet. But the apparent tranquillity hides a terrifying secret...
The TARDIS has arrived on a world of violence, where hideous creatures hunt and kill endlessly, vying for supremacy at the top of the food chain. But is evolution on the planet natural or engineered by some higher power? And why has an aggressively suspicious alien police force sent a secret mission here?
With no one safe from the planet's tireless predators, Leela's warrior instincts are tested to the full. The Doctor, meanwhile, begins to suspect that there is a scientific purpose to the planet — one married to a sinister intelligence.
Whatever the data being collated from the planet, the Doctor soon realises its usage may have far-reaching consequences for all humanity... "
Why it's Hunt: The TARDIS has arrived in what essentially amounts to a supersoldier training ground, where everything in the environment is hostile and out to kill them.
Brooks, Max: World War Z
Zombies will chase humans for as long as it takes to catch them. A zombie will chase a human into the sea, over a cliff, into a raging inferno, it doesn't matter. A zombie will go after any living prey that it can find, and eat it to death. In the chapter where the astronaut from the International Space Station is interviewed, he mentions one zombie that chased after a small animal in the desert. When the animal burrowed under the sand, the zombie started digging for it, even as sand continued to pour back into the hole, filling it just as fast as it was dug. The zombie was digging nonstop for five straight days before it apparently lost the animal's scent and gave up.
Christie, Agatha: And Then There Were None
"First, there were ten—a curious assortment of strangers summoned as weekend guests to a little private island off the coast of Devon. Their host, an eccentric millionaire unknown to all of them, is nowhere to be found. All that the guests have in common is a wicked past they're unwilling to reveal—and a secret that will seal their fate. For each has been marked for murder. (...) When they realize that murders are occurring as described in the rhyme, terror mounts. One by one they fall prey. Before the weekend is out, there will be none. Who has choreographed this dastardly scheme? And who will be left to tell the tale? Only the dead are above suspicion."
Spoilers: So this book's plot is the last great hunt of a Hunt avatar: Judge Wargrave. Who did the typical hunt avatar thing of joining the law to get his feel and now lets himself go all of springing a trap on his prey and playing with them like a big cat.
***
Ten people, trapped on an island, all of them murderers who escaped justice. They are slowly picked off one by one as judgement for their crimes, causing them to search desperately for the killer before turning on one another, evoking themes of paranoia and betrayal akin to MAG 176: Blood Ties. {Spoilers: The killer was the judge, who had gone into law enforcement to sate his desire for killing and punishment, much like Daisy Tonner did)
Connell, Richard: The Most Dangerous Game
A ruthless hunter named Sanger Rainsford is stranded on Ship Trap Island and meets General Zaroff. Zaroff, a hunter who is bored with hunting animals, hunts Rainsford for sport.
***
Big-game hunter Sanger Rainsford and his friend Whitney are traveling by ship to the Amazon rainforest for a jaguar hunt. Rainsford falls overboard while investigating the sound of gunshots in the distance and swims to Ship-Trap Island, where he finds General Zaroff and his manservant Ivan. Zaroff, another big-game hunter, knows of Rainsford from his published account of hunting snow leopards in Tibet. Over dinner, he explains that although he has been hunting animals since he was a boy, he has decided that killing big game has become boring for him. After escaping the Russian Revolution, he purchased Ship-Trap and rigged the island with lights to lure passing ships into the jagged rocks that surround it. He takes the survivors captive and hunts them for sport, giving himself handicaps to increase the challenge. Any captives who can elude Zaroff, Ivan, and a pack of hunting dogs for three days are set free; to date, though, Zaroff has never lost a hunt. Rainsford denounces the hunt as barbarism, but Zaroff replies by claiming that ‘life is for the strong.’ Zaroff is enthused to have another world-class hunter as a companion and offers to take Rainsford along with him on his next hunt. When Rainsford staunchly refuses and demands to leave the island, Zaroff decides to hunt him instead. Rainsford uses traps and cleverness to outmaneuver Zaroff, killing Ivan and one of the dogs before jumping into the sea. Disappointed at Rainsford's apparent suicide, Zaroff returns home, but finds Rainsford waiting for him, having swum around the island to evade the dogs and sneak into the chateau. Zaroff offers congratulations for defeating him, but Rainsford prepares to fight him, saying that the hunt is not yet over. A delighted Zaroff responds that the loser will be fed to his dogs, while the winner will sleep in his bed. The story abruptly concludes later that night by stating that Rainsford enjoyed the comfort of the bed, implying that he killed Zaroff in the fight.
Crichton, Michael: Jurassic Park
Big hungry dinosaurs vs. small tasty humans. Muldoon commented that the raptors were cruelly intelligent and liked to hunt for sport as much as for food. It was actually justified because (as Malcolm realizes) the raptors discovered that humans are an easy meal and become a favored prey. Meanwhile, the Tyrannosaur seemed to be stalking Dr. Grant and the kids in particular, even leaving behind a Hadrosaur kill to pursue them down a river. At one point it's even waiting at the bottom of a waterfall with its jaws open, hoping they'll fall inside.
de France, Marie: Bisclavret
Covers several common themes of the Hunt -- loyalty, betrayal, and werewolves. Bisclaveret is a werewolf trapped in his lupine form by his wife's treachery, and is hunted by his king, who does not know his identity.
Dostoevsky, Fyodor: Crime and Punishment
The whole book is about feeling certain that your crimes are about to be uncovered, always looking behind you for the pursuing policeman, the hand of justice that is sure to catch you at any moment.
Doyle, Arthur Conan: The Hound of the Baskervilles/Sherlock Holmes series
As per this post: "I know he's already been in the Eye Poll, but trust me, he's such a Hunt guy. All of his observational skills aren't Eye (he'd probably think that was cheating), but the result of a finely trained mind and keen, Hunt-enhanced senses. He's relentless in his pursuit of criminals, trekking for miles through city and country alike to track down a suspect. He gets bored and listless without the thrill of the chase, as Watson has so often remarked, as though something was sapping his energy. Feed your god, or it will feed on you."
Fletcher, David: Hunted: A True Story of Survival
The author is pursued for the entire book by a furious mother bear after he kills her cub in a series of escalating cinematic attacks and escapes.
Household, Geoffrey: Rogue Male
A bored, upper-class British sportsman is found on the grounds of an unnamed European dictator's residence with his hunting rifle in hand, and subsequently arrested. His claim, maintained under torture, that he was stalking the dictator purely as an exercise in the skill of the hunt and that he had no intention of firing is so audacious that it is almost believed — but nonetheless he cannot be allowed to live. To execute such a well-connected Briton would cause an international incident, so his captors decide to kill him by throwing him over a cliff so that his body will show injuries consistent with accidental death. Though badly injured he survives and manages to make his way to the Channel and from there back to England. Where he discovers that home does not mean safety, nor an end to the pursuit.
Hunter, Erin: Warrior Cats
this book series has inspired children for year after year to run around pretending to be feral cats on the playground. it's hunt.
***
This book was made for The Admiral
***
The concept of your housepet running off to join a feral cat society just feels Hunt-y to me.
Kavan, Anna: Ice
The book follows a male protagonist who feverishly pursues a young nameless woman from country to country as society collapses due to a beginning of a new ice age. People flee their cities to go south, so a lot of the scenes take place in the wilderness and the forests. The protagonist often fantasizes about the woman being torn to shreds by wild animals as she flees a pursuer, and often compares her to prey animals.
King, Stephen: Cujo
A formerly friendly St. Bernard turns into a killing machine after being bit by a rabid bat.
Lem, Stanisław: The Hunt
A runaway is chased by humans with dogs. As the story evolves, it becomes clear that it is a robot, an intelligent machine, one of many created by humans to be hunted. For this reason it was endowed with wit and strength and an ability to be afraid, so that it would run away and make a hunt interesting: "... a tangled plot full of surprises, a forest strategy, a duel of cunning, of tactics, including laying double trails, dodging, looping the scent back on itself, crossing white-water streams and aerial bridges formed by fallen trees". A little girl helps him to hide, but eventually it turns out that her goal was to lay her hands on a gun and shoot the hunted robot herself. It is well known that Lem was ruthlessly burning his unpublished works, and the researchers were puzzled why Lem kept this one. Stanisław Bereś attempts to explain this as follows. Lem never wrote and seldom spoke about his life during World War II in Nazi-occupied Lwow. However one can decipher subtle hints about his experiences of that time in various Lem's works of fiction. Bereś points out an obvious parallel of the runaway's hopeless struggle for his life from The Hunt story, with the experience of the Jews during the Holocaust, including Lem's own. Therefore Bereś suggests that Lem felt overexposing himself in the story, therefore he set it aside and eventually wrote another, a more entertaining version and possibly forgot about the older manuscript.
London, Jack: Call of the Wild
The story follows Buck—a mix of St. Bernard and Scotch collie—throughout his journey as a sled dog. Buck’s story begins at the house of Judge Miller in Santa Clara, California. Here, Buck is a beloved domesticated pet, living comfortably. However, after gold is discovered in the Yukon territory of Canada, Buck is stolen by one of Miller’s gardeners as the demand for sled dogs increases. The gardener sells Buck to dog traders and makes a profit, and Buck is soon shipped north, abused and beaten as he goes. Along with a sweet, unassuming dog named Curly, Buck is sold to two government couriers, François and Perrault, who put him to work as a sled dog. Buck is soon overwhelmed by his surroundings, particularly when he sees a group of huskies attack and kill Curly. As Buck is forced to adapt to the wild, his primitive instincts begin to surface. It is during this time that he makes an enemy of the lead sled dog, Spitz. The two fight a number of times, and Buck consistently undermines him in the hopes of diminishing his authority. After a final, decisive battle, Buck kills Spitz and appoints himself as the new lead dog.
Mallory, Thomas: Le Mort D’Arthur
Large portion of it is about the Quest for the Holy Grail and how all the knights keep setting out to find it and failing

Melville, Herman: Moby Dick
Ahab goes on a mad, doomed hunt for a white whale that may or may not be an eldritch abomination and represents God/nature/life, despite the numerous signs that he should give up on his quest and live a fuller and happier life. Unsurprisingly, everyone except Ishmael gets killed by said whale, with Ahab getting tangled in his own harpoon line and dragged down to the depths (in an ironic echo of his own words about how a drowning creature stays down the third time).
Messingham, Simon: The Doctor Trap

Simmering tensions lead to a detour off the trail and straight into a waking nightmare; and then into something far worse. Something that will test them in horrifying ways.
Perrault, Charles: Little Red Riding Hood
You know why
Pierce, Tamora: Huntress
Corey wants to fit in with the cool kids at her school and ignore her family's oddball religious practices. However, the group of popular kids that Corey has befriended regularly hunts people for sport. They try to hunt her when she refuses to participate, only for the Goddess that Corey's family worships to appear and hunt them instead.
Pinkwater, Daniel: The Werewolf Club
A boy whose parents raised him to be a dog inadvertently joins a club of actual werewolves.
Povey, Jeff: The Serial Killers Club
When our unlikely hero runs into a murderer, he ends up killing the killer. Then he goes through his attacker's wallet and finds another shocker: an invitation to a party hosted by Errol Flynn. Errol Flynn? Isn't he dead? Intrigued, our hero crashes it - and discovers the Serial Killers Club. Its mission: share thrills and make sure members don't target the same victims. With aliases from old Hollywood, they include "Tallulah Bankhead", "Richard Burton", and soon, "Douglas Fairbanks Jr.", our hero himself. But "Dougie" isn't going to waste the innocent. Instead, he plans to knock off the "stars" one by one. And when they notice their numbers dropping, he'll have to answer a killer question: is he one of them - or not?
Obviously there are some strong Hunt element here, killing killers, questions of morality, becoming the monsters that you kill, etc. But also, "Okay, I know how it sounds, but Murder Club wasn’t supposed to be like this."
Pratchett, Terry: I Shall Wear Midnight
The villain of this novel is the Cunning Man, the spirit of a witchfinder who sows suspicion of witches among the people of the Disc in hopes of reigniting the witch hunts.
Pratchett, Terry: The Fifth Elephant
"The Scone of Stone, an ancient dwarven artifact, has been stolen, and without it, the new Low King of the Dwarfs cannot be crowned. It's up to Sam Vimes and the Ankh-Morpork City Watch to travel to Uberwald and unravel the dark conspiracy surrounding the theft. Also, Vimes fights werewolves."
Not the strongest contestant, but Vimes does spends a chunk of time being hunted down by werewolves
Preiss, Byron: The Secret
This book contains 12 gorgeous, detailed paintings. Each painting contains clues to the location of a treasure box. Originally published in 1982, only 3 of the treasure boxes have been found. For over four decades, people have been possessed by obsession with finding the treasure boxes, a hunt being passed down by parents to their children. This is very reminiscent of the Hunt ritual we see in MAG 133: Dead Horse. The promise of a treasure pulling people in to a neverending hunt.
***
The Secret is a treasure hunt created by Byron Preiss. The hunt involves a search for twelve treasure boxes, the clues to which were provided in a book written by Preiss in 1982, also called The Secret. These boxes were buried at secret locations in cities across the United States and Canada that symbolically represent events and peoples that played significant roles in North American history. Anyone who uncovered one of the treasure boxes was entitled to exchange it with Preiss for a precious gem; after Preiss died in 2005, his estate assumed the responsibility of honoring the terms of the treasure hunt. As of 2024, only three of the twelve boxes have been found. Preiss kept no record of the treasure boxes' exact locations before his death, leaving it a possibility that the remaining boxes may never be recovered.
Schenkel, Rudolph: Expressions Studies on Wolves
This is THAT study. The one that was conducted on a tiny sample of wolves in captivity, yet so quickly taken up by pop culture? The one that gave us the Omegaverse, but also a whole new hierarchy for toxic dudebros to measure themselves up against.
Sheckley, Robert: The Seventh Victim
Takes place in a world in which society that has eliminated major warfare by allowing members of society who are inclined to violence to join The Big Hunt, a human hunting game in which participants alternate between being a "hunter" and a "victim". The protagonist is surprised to learn that his intended victim is a woman, something which he has never heard of. As he tracks said victim down, he begins to fall for her -- but will love or death rule the day?
Spoiler: It's death. But not hers!
Shusterman, Neal: Red Rider's Hood
In this second entry in Neal Shusterman's Dark Fusion series, he twists the familiar fairy tale of Red Riding Hood into a brooding story about a city plagued by gangs. Red, a boy famous for cruising around in a blood-colored Mustang, takes on the Wolves after they rob his grandmother He decides to beat them by joining them to learn their weaknesses After a while, however, he finds himself drawn to the pack. At the next full moon, will Red take up their murderous ways or will he take them down?
Sin, Damien: The White Tiger of Kalimantaro
Two retired ex-cops travels to the Indonesian jungles to hunt a divine white tiger, only to realize the tiger to be old, mangy, lice-ridden and ready to die of age and disease. They kill it anyway, along with several other animals that they encounter along the way, in gruesome detail. Then the real white tiger shows up, and it turns out to be a god-like entity the size of an elephant possessing supernatural necromantic powers, given how it resurrects the old, slain tiger into a tiger zombie...
Stine, R.L.: The Werewolf of Fever Swamp
There's something horrible happening in Fever Swamp. Something really horrible. It started with the strange howling at night. Then there was the rabbit, torn to shreds. Everyone thinks Grady's new dog is responsible. After all, he looks just like a wolf. And he seems a little on the wild side. But Grady knows his dog is just a regular old dog. And most dogs don't howl at the moon. Or disappear at midnight. Or change into terrifying creatures when the moon is full. Or do they?
Stoker, Bram: Dracula
Dracula is all about the hunt and the hunted. Dracula hunts the innocent for their blood, stalking them and draining them to turn them into hunters in their own right. The protagonists, in turn, hunt Dracula. A Leitner version of this book would probably turn anyone who read it into another Trevor Herbert.
***
Famous for introducing the character of the vampire Count Dracula, the novel tells the story of Dracula's attempt to move from Transylvania to England so he may find new blood and spread undead curse, and the battle between Dracula and a small group of men and women led by Professor Abraham Van Helsing.
Dracula has been assigned to many literary genres including vampire literature, horror fiction, the gothic novel and invasion literature. The novel touches on themes such as the role of women in Victorian culture, sexual conventions, immigration, colonialism, and post-colonialism.
Takami, Koushun: Battle Royale
From Goodreads: "(...) a class of junior high school students is taken to a deserted island where, as part of a ruthless authoritarian program, they are provided arms and forced to kill one another until only one survivor is left standing. (...)"
I mean, the concept of hunting each other until only one person remains in video games did get named after it, so it's a prime Hunt candidate for me.
Thompson, Hunter S.: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Gonzo journalism featuring Thompson and his Samoan lawyer on the hunt for the American Dream by way of semi-biographical of a road trip, reporting on a biker race, a lot of booze and drugs, and deliberate confusion.
Traditional: Actaeon
(Summary via Wikipedia) Artemis was bathing in the woods when the hunter Actaeon stumbled across her, thus seeing her naked. He stopped and stared, amazed at her ravishing beauty. Once seen, Artemis got revenge on Actaeon: she forbade him speech – if he tried to speak, he would be changed into a stag – for the unlucky profanation of her virginity's mystery. Upon hearing the call of his hunting party, he cried out to them and immediately transformed. At this, he fled deep into the woods, and doing so he came upon a pond and, seeing his reflection, groaned. His own hounds then turned upon him and pursued him, not recognizing him. In an endeavour to save himself, he raised his eyes (and would have raised his arms, had he had them) toward Mount Olympus. The gods did not heed his desperation, and he was torn to pieces.
Other versions of the myth suggest his fault was bragging that he was a better hunter than Artemis, not seeing her naked.
Van Allsburg, Chris: Jumanji
A Leitner version of this book would cause the jungle to manifest physically in your home, with new animals escaping to hunt you down with every page turned.
Vega, Danielle: Survive the Night
Julie lies dead and disemboweled in a dank, black subway tunnel, red-eyed rats nibbling at her fingers. Her friends think she’s just off with some guy—no one could hear her getting torn apart over the sound of pulsing music.
In a tunnel nearby, Casey regrets coming to Survive the Night, the all-night underground rave in the New York City subway. Her best friend Shana talked her into it, even though Casey just got out of rehab. Alone and lost in the dark, creepy tunnels, Casey doesn’t think Survive the Night could get any worse . . . until she comes across Julie’s body, and the party turns deadly.
Desperate for help, Casey and her friends find themselves running through the putrid subway system, searching for a way out. But every manhole is sealed shut, and every noise echoes eerily in the dark, reminding them they’re not alone. They’re being hunted.
Trapped underground with someone—or something—out to get them, Casey can’t help but listen to her friend’s terrified refrain: “We’re all gonna die down here. . . .” in this bone-chilling sophmore novel by the acclaimed author of The Merciless.
Yoshitomi, Akihito: School Ningyo (School Mermaid)
A horror manga / anthology series by Akihito Yoshitomi about Japanese school girls who really want boyfriends. But rather than going through the trouble of getting the attention of a boy, talking to them and just being themselves, they decide on a much quicker way to do so... By hunting mermaids in their school and eating their flesh.

Spider Bo Spider Bo Does Whatever A Spider Bo Does
Chapter 1
Bo stretched as they crawled out of bed. Sorcha was cooking, they could smell it. They did their morning routine and got dressed in a nice suit, combing their hair before coming downstairs.
“Cooking pancakes?” They asked.
Sorcha looked over, his twin chuckling as she shoved a plate in their hand and threw a pancake in it. She plated her own and the two sat down at the kitchen table.
“You look nice.” Sorcha said as she bit into a pancake.
“Got a job interview.”
“Already?”
“Yeah. It’s that science lab. They need a secretary.” Bo ate a quarter of their pancake in one bite.
“Doesn’t seem your style.”
“Jobs are my style. Especially if it’s not fast food…tired of coming home smelling like nuggets. Plus this pays more.”
She nodded. “When do you have to be there?”
“An hour. Can I take the car?”
“Better than a skateboard.”
They shoved the rest of the food in their mouth and saluted as they grabbed the keys and walked out the door.
The drive over was uneventful except for seeing a possum cross the road before leaving their neighborhood. They named the possum Frank.
They parked in the building parking lot known as Blackwood industries.
They carefully combed down their hair and adjusted their suit. They took a deep breath before getting out of the car.
The lab was nice, walls covered with different scientists with different projects Bo had never heard of. There was a woman sitting at a desk typing something. Her nametag read Lillian.
“excuse me.”
She looked up.
“I’m looking for Mr. Harker. Im here for the job interview.”
She smiled. “Third floor, two doors down from the elevator.” She pointed to it in the corner.
“Thank you.”
Lillian nodded, going back to her work.
Bo took the elevator up. It opened into a lab space where there were people working on different projects.
Bo looked around in wonder and then someone crashed into them, knocking them to the ground.
They blushed as they looked up at a handsome man. Around their age, dark skin, braided hair, bright blue eyes.
“Oh my god.” He said, and Bo could see that reddish tint on his face as well. “I-I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean-I-Um”
Bo chuckled. “I-Its okay. Um…could you get up?”
“I-Yes I’m sorry.” He pulled himself off the floor and then offered Bo a hand who took it and was pulled up. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah. Im fine.”
“M-My names Link.” He held out his hand to shake. Bo took it.
“Bo. Um are you-“
“Mx Caldwell.”
The two looked over. Mr. Harker was standing there.
“Oh. Hello.” Bo smiled nervously. “I’m sorry I bumped into-“
“I saw the whole thing. Mr. Herrons, please go back to work. We have an interview to conduct in my lab.”
“Sorry sir. Nice meeting you Bo.”
Bo smiled and walked Link walk off.
“Come along.”
Bo followed Mr. Harker through the lab space into a private office area. Bo looked around.
The space was filled with spiders. They all had habitats along the walls and seemed to be well fed.
“This is my passion project. Spiders are amazing creatures. Most of my experiments are about understanding these creatures. As I saw, you met Mr. Herrons, he’s based a few experiments off electricity.”
“That’s so cool.”
“As my secretary you’d keep track of all my calls, schedule meetings and appointments, and be the go between for me and the other scientists who work under me.”
“That doesn’t sound bad.”
Bo’s leg felt itchy. They resisted the urge to scratch it.
“Your off days would be Thursday through Saturday, 4 weeks of paid vacation…I read through your resume. It’s very impressive.”
Bo blushed. “I’m sure I don’t know what you mean, sir.”
“During highschool you interned under your uncle, Damien Caldwell is that correct?”
Bo nodded. “I didn’t want this job because of him.”
“I contacted your uncle.” He continued. “He gave me a glowing review…you helped him figure out how to make a similar serum to a spiders web. Strong enough to hold a person. While it’s still in the works your work on that project was a turning point…why didn’t you pursue it?”
Bo swallowed hard. They had expected all the normal interview questions but not this.
“I…me and my sister needed to put food on the table and get a roof over our heads. Didn’t have time, I guess.”
“I understand. I would love to have you on my team.”
The itching was up their back now. They tried not to squirm.
“Really?”
“As both a secretary and consultant. One good internship doesn’t make a scientist, but your creative way of thinking would be a valuable asset.”
Something sharp hit the back of Bos neck. Bo yelled, making Mr. Harkens raise an eyebrow.
“Ahh I’m so excited!” They said, then rubbed their neck. Their fingers brushed against something which fell off in a second. They smiled nervously.
“Great to hear it. Mx. Caldwell, welcome to Blackwood industries.”
The two shook hands.
“You start in two weeks. Get all your affairs in order. You’ll be sent an email for all your bank information.”
“T-Thank you sir.”
He nodded. “Have a good day.”
Bo smiled and left the room, grinning.
Mr. Harker saw a spider on the table. He offered a hand to it and it crawled up his arm to his shoulder. He smiled.
Bo walked back through the hallway.
“Hey. How’d it go?” Link looked over.
Bo smiled. “I got the job.”
“Tha-That’s great.”
“…do you always stutter?”
Link chuckled. “only around certain people.”
Bo smiled a bit, then swallowed hard. It felt like a knot had formed in their throat.
“you alright?”
The lights were so bright. They blinked hard as the sounds of the building suddenly rushed to their ears. Every air conditioner, electrical outlet, even cars outside.
“Bo?”
They looked up at Link and the world swam. “I…don’t feel good.”
They didn’t know how but they ended up in links arms.
“You’re burning up.”
Their mouth went dry.
“I’m gonna take you home.”
“C-Call Sorcha.”
Their hands felt wet and clammy as they handed him their phone. Something was wrong. They breathed shakily.
They didn’t process much after that. The world was blurred. One moment they were in their car, Link saying something they didn’t process the next they were being carried into a hospital. The next Sorcha holding their hand as an IV went into their system.
Then everything went dark.
“Bo...Bo!”
They were in an endless expanse of darkness. They looked around. Who was calling their name? They sounded so far away.
“Bo!”
The voice was unfamiliar but comforting.
“Who are you?” Bo called.
“Bo!” The voice repeated. “I can’t see you.”
“Hello?”
Bo saw a flash of light in the distance. They started heading towards it.
“I can’t see you.”
Bo started running as the light became brighter. “Who are you!?”
Bo gasped awake.
“Bo!”
They looked over and saw Sorcha. She smiled in relief. “I’m glad you’re awake.”
“Chacha, where are we?”
“Hospital. Your friend took you here, and called me.”
“…Who?”
“Hey.” They looked over and saw link who was holding sodas and snacks. “Youre awake.”
Bo nodded. “How long…”
“A week. The doctors didn’t know what was wrong with you though.”
Bo stared at him. “…You stayed?”
Link nodded.
They blinked hard, their head starting to pound.
“Lets get a doctor in here.” Sorcha said.
It was two full days of testing and monitoring before they were allowed to go home. Link and Sorcha there to keep them company.
Finally they were allowed to go home when the headaches and pain subsided and the doctors said everything was back to normal.
Sorcha kept a close eye on them as they came back into the house.
“Are you sure you’re feeling okay?”
“ChaCha, I’m fine.” Bo chuckled. “Now it’s my night to cook dinner. Are you gonna hover over me the whole time or am I gonna have to lock you in your room?”
Sorcha rolled her eyes. “Fine. But if anything goes wrong I’m taking over.”
Bo rolled their eyes as they walked into their room, going to change.
They pulled off their shirt as they looked in the mirror. Then paused.
Did they have some muscle?
Bo felt their arm and found that yes, they had some. Which was weird cause they never exercised in their life.
“The hell?”
“Bo uncle damiens on the phone!” Sorcha called.
Bo threw on a clean shirt and ran to the kitchen.
“How they doing?” Damien asked from the other side.
“Oh you can ask them yourself.” Sorcha grinned and handed Bo the phone. They glared at her a bit before speaking.
“Hey.”
“Hey kiddo. I heard you got the job. How you feeling?”
“Im completely fine. The doctors said so. Probably just too many over night shifts in a row.”
“Well im excited to see you put that brain to good use. It’s about time.”
“…You didn’t pull any strings, did you?”
“Other than giving you a glowing review, all of which was true, no. That’s all you kiddo.”
“Thanks. Why don’t you come over for dinner tomorrow? We’ll make your favorite.”
“How could I say no? I’ll see you two then. I love you.”
“Love you!” both Sorcha and Bo said before hanging up.
“…You look freaked out.” Sorcha said, raising an eyebrow.
“…I have muscles.”
Sorcha gave them a confused look.
Bo pulled off their shirt, letting it fall. Or at least they tried to. It stuck to their hand. They shook it, trying to get it off.
“That isn’t funny.”
“Its stuck.” Bo used their other hand to try and pull it off only to find that, that hand was stuck. “What the hell!?”
“Don’t rip that shirt.”
“you try getting it off then.”
Sorcha rolled her eyes and grabbed the shirt, tugging, only to discover she couldn’t pull it off either. “Okay what the fuck.”
“That’s what I’m saying!”
Sorcha grabbed onto the edges of the shirt. “on three. One…two…three!”
The two pulled apart and Bo stumbled back and onto the wall, their hands sticking to it. “Huh.”
“What?”
Bo smiled and climbed up the wall, onto the ceiling.
Sorcha screamed.

Deklan Blackwood (26)
Tumblr media
Background:
The Blackwoods are believed to be descendants of the original settlers who vanished in 1843. The family carries the Death Mark which a strange birthmark that resembles an X. This mark has been passed down through generations, and those who bear it are said to be more susceptible to the town’s dark forces. Deklan has the mark on the left side of his chest, a constant reminder of his family’s cursed legacy.
Deklan and Damien's childhood was defined by their father's descent into madness and their mother's tragic death. While Damien was traumatized and developed a fierce, protective streak, Deklan took a different path. He learned to mask his fear and pain with charm and manipulation, quickly realizing that he could use his charisma to his advantage.
Their grandfather, Henry Blackwood, took in both boys after their parents' deaths. Henry's strict and secretive nature only fueled Deklan’s desire to rebel and control his own destiny. Unlike Damien, who immersed himself in survival skills and the town's dark lore, Deklan sought power through social dominance and manipulation.
From a young age, Deklan exhibited a sadistic streak. He enjoyed playing mind games with other children, exploiting their fears and weaknesses for his amusement. His charm and good looks made it easy for him to manipulate others, and he relished the control he could exert over them. He often toyed with his brother Damien as well, though he never crossed the line into outright cruelty. Their relationship was complicated, with Deklan oscillating between genuine care and sadistic teasing.
As Deklan grew older, his manipulative tendencies evolved. He became a notorious player, using his charisma to seduce and discard women and men with little regard for their feelings. His conquests were many, and his reputation as a heartbreaker spread throughout Blackwood Hollows. Despite his superficial charm, there was always a dark edge to his interactions, a sense that he derived pleasure from the emotional turmoil he caused.
Unlike Damien, who delved deeply into the town's cursed history in a bid to understand and perhaps break the curse, Deklan saw the town’s dark secrets as tools to further his own ends. He used his knowledge of the supernatural to intimidate and manipulate others, gaining influence and power in a place where fear was a constant companion.
Despite his sadistic nature, Deklan maintained a relatively decent relationship with Damien. He viewed his younger brother as a useful ally, someone who could handle the physical dangers of the town while he dealt with the social and psychological aspects. They often worked together, with Damien’s brute strength and Deklan’s cunning forming a formidable combination.
Deklan's sadistic teasing of Damien was always tempered by a twisted form of affection. He genuinely cared for his brother, in his own way, and would step in to protect him if needed. However, he couldn’t resist pushing Damien’s buttons, enjoying the reactions he could provoke.
At 26, Deklan is a master manipulator, using his charm and knowledge of Blackwood Hollows’ dark history to maintain his grip on the town’s social dynamics. He is feared and respected, a figure who navigates the town's supernatural threats with ease. He also has his own home that is a small, worn down cabin.
Meeting You:
You just moved to Blackwood Hollows to get away from city life. The surroundings are a little eerie and your neighbors are a bit strange. You're not sure of your way around just yet, but thank god Deklan is here to help...right?

Note
Not just Damian, Helen from TAMA and Blackwood from TCT are all cluster b villains who are treated terribly. TBS has a constant cluster b issue.
Will we ever stop vilifying cluster b characters?
I haven’t listened to TAMA or TCT, since tbs already lost me shortly before the finally and honestly haven’t interacted with the fandom in literal years but i remember it rubbing me the wrong way back then and now have the right vocabulary to pin point my issues with the show.
Like, for a show that prides itself on being inclusive and morally good, it really only made itself easily digestible, creating a bunch of characters to work as the good victims whose trauma only manifests in ways that are easy to understand and like in contrast to Damien who should just try harder to have his symptoms be socially acceptable, because there is a right and a wrong way to be mentally ill and if your diagnosis can’t be turned into an aesthetic, you’re fucked.
It’s obviously a product of its time, you can see the 2016 tumblr ethics written all over the text. I just honestly hope that some of the people who were very open about their hatred for damien have since recognized the writing for what it really is.

Shepherd S-Teir Essence
DISCLAIMER: So this is my first Essence idea I'm doing publicly for people to join in on, if they want. I'm not great with Essence lore, but designs I really really like doing. I'm going to put some ground rules for the essence below. For now though, here's a little bit of info on the lore.
~~
"Today was supposed to be a joyous day for me, for us."
"For once I don't have to worry about lowly humans messing with our lives. That is why it rains when the foxes are to be married. To keep the bad away."
"But now? The rain is weeping, cold and in misery. I've lost so much, given them so many chances to prosper, but they all run away, calling me a foul beast..."
"Will you be the bride-to-be? Or are you here to strip me of my chances of happiness once more?"
~~
S-Tier: Twofaced-Fox Groom - Pearce Whittaker The groom who is half man, half beast. Countless maiden's were fated to him, and yet all have washed away like the rain on his special day. He will get what he wants, even if a little sacrifice entails.
A-Tier: The Vixen Bride - Carmilla Blackwood @ask-idv-outcast The bride who came to be. Her world spins at the lack of understanding. Is this a reality? Or is this a twisted fantasy of possession and desperation? Pleading is endless. A-Tier: Hindered Ijiraq - (OPEN) The objector to this nightmarish event. Shapeshifting into what he must, Protecting the Vixen Bride is all that matters. To pry the claws off a fox, you must be in the exact situation, and take the rightful role back.
B-Tier: Deathly Officiant - (OPEN) The preacher who's gone cold. Nothing more than a long, skeletal remain of who they once were. Adorned with the antlers of an elk, they must ensure this wedding does not end in humanity's downfall. B-Tier: Wilting Willows - Ameillia Thomson @ask-idv-gas-specialist To toss the petals at a wedding is almost necessary, and yet here, everything is dead and lifeless. While there may be no joy in such a place, there is always a small glimmer of hope. All roles must be played, no matter how bitter it may be. B-Tier: Ouroboros Bearer - Eiji Narukami @idv-artists-trio-trio The rings bind lovers indefinitely. Vows are made, and promise till death. This is the eternal cycle of destruction and re-creation. Fighting through skin and bone, you must be there for your beloved always. B-Tier: The Urayuli Usher - Victor Grantz/Campbell @ask-victor-grantzcampbell A large beast who finds the to-be-brides lost in the woods. Those who have gone missing lie at the hands of a beast with high-pitched shrills. Yet here, they serve as peaceful creatures seeking to guide those destined to fate. B-Tier: Maid of Shallowness - (OPEN) Jealousy, Hatred, Pettiness. All things accumulated to malice. The maid who wished to be the best, to have a gorgeous wedding. The plot only thickens when trying numerical times to replace the bride. Even if bloodshed is the last resort. B-Tier: Best Man's Sorrows - (Damien Hardwick @idv-sinful-deities Pity, Regret, Ashamed. The things that make the Best Man feel sorry for countless brides and their frivolous ends. With little to no power, all they can do is weep enterally at what could transpire next. If only someone could stop this nightmare once and for all. ~~
RULES:
One person per blog, sorry homies with the multiple characters on one blog. U_U a. OCs and canon characters are allowed btw!!!
First come, first serve. That's the rules man. Once all the roles are filled, that'll be it so I can work on designs.
Skin Recommendation ideas would be cool! If you have any questions, you can message me here on Tumblr, or On Discord if you prefer! My User is JustMandika#2840.
Don't rush me on the skin making. I absolutely hate that and it might make me procrastinate longer.
~~ So yeah, that's it. If you want a character to be in this little essence idea I did, please lemme know in my inbox here for shepherd. I'll answer in due time, I promy ( Xv X) b
