Spider Bo Spider Bo Does Whatever A Spider Bo Does
Chapter 1
Bo stretched as they crawled out of bed. Sorcha was cooking, they could smell it. They did their morning routine and got dressed in a nice suit, combing their hair before coming downstairs.
âCooking pancakes?â They asked.
Sorcha looked over, his twin chuckling as she shoved a plate in their hand and threw a pancake in it. She plated her own and the two sat down at the kitchen table.
âYou look nice.â Sorcha said as she bit into a pancake.
âGot a job interview.â
âAlready?â
âYeah. Itâs that science lab. They need a secretary.â Bo ate a quarter of their pancake in one bite.
âDoesnât seem your style.â
âJobs are my style. Especially if itâs not fast foodâŚtired of coming home smelling like nuggets. Plus this pays more.â
She nodded. âWhen do you have to be there?â
âAn hour. Can I take the car?â
âBetter than a skateboard.â
They shoved the rest of the food in their mouth and saluted as they grabbed the keys and walked out the door.
The drive over was uneventful except for seeing a possum cross the road before leaving their neighborhood. They named the possum Frank.
They parked in the building parking lot known as Blackwood industries.
They carefully combed down their hair and adjusted their suit. They took a deep breath before getting out of the car.
The lab was nice, walls covered with different scientists with different projects Bo had never heard of. There was a woman sitting at a desk typing something. Her nametag read Lillian.
âexcuse me.â
She looked up.
âIâm looking for Mr. Harker. Im here for the job interview.â
She smiled. âThird floor, two doors down from the elevator.â She pointed to it in the corner.
âThank you.â
Lillian nodded, going back to her work.
Bo took the elevator up. It opened into a lab space where there were people working on different projects.
Bo looked around in wonder and then someone crashed into them, knocking them to the ground.
They blushed as they looked up at a handsome man. Around their age, dark skin, braided hair, bright blue eyes.
âOh my god.â He said, and Bo could see that reddish tint on his face as well. âI-Iâm so sorry! I didnât mean-I-Umâ
Bo chuckled. âI-Its okay. UmâŚcould you get up?â
âI-Yes Iâm sorry.â He pulled himself off the floor and then offered Bo a hand who took it and was pulled up. âAre you okay?â
âYeah. Im fine.â
âM-My names Link.â He held out his hand to shake. Bo took it.
âBo. Um are you-â
âMx Caldwell.â
The two looked over. Mr. Harker was standing there.
âOh. Hello.â Bo smiled nervously. âIâm sorry I bumped into-â
âI saw the whole thing. Mr. Herrons, please go back to work. We have an interview to conduct in my lab.â
âSorry sir. Nice meeting you Bo.â
Bo smiled and walked Link walk off.
âCome along.â
Bo followed Mr. Harker through the lab space into a private office area. Bo looked around.
The space was filled with spiders. They all had habitats along the walls and seemed to be well fed.
âThis is my passion project. Spiders are amazing creatures. Most of my experiments are about understanding these creatures. As I saw, you met Mr. Herrons, heâs based a few experiments off electricity.â
âThatâs so cool.â
âAs my secretary youâd keep track of all my calls, schedule meetings and appointments, and be the go between for me and the other scientists who work under me.â
âThat doesnât sound bad.â
Boâs leg felt itchy. They resisted the urge to scratch it.
âYour off days would be Thursday through Saturday, 4 weeks of paid vacationâŚI read through your resume. Itâs very impressive.â
Bo blushed. âIâm sure I donât know what you mean, sir.â
âDuring highschool you interned under your uncle, Damien Caldwell is that correct?â
Bo nodded. âI didnât want this job because of him.â
âI contacted your uncle.â He continued. âHe gave me a glowing reviewâŚyou helped him figure out how to make a similar serum to a spiders web. Strong enough to hold a person. While itâs still in the works your work on that project was a turning pointâŚwhy didnât you pursue it?â
Bo swallowed hard. They had expected all the normal interview questions but not this.
âIâŚme and my sister needed to put food on the table and get a roof over our heads. Didnât have time, I guess.â
âI understand. I would love to have you on my team.â
The itching was up their back now. They tried not to squirm.
âReally?â
âAs both a secretary and consultant. One good internship doesnât make a scientist, but your creative way of thinking would be a valuable asset.â
Something sharp hit the back of Bos neck. Bo yelled, making Mr. Harkens raise an eyebrow.
âAhh Iâm so excited!â They said, then rubbed their neck. Their fingers brushed against something which fell off in a second. They smiled nervously.
âGreat to hear it. Mx. Caldwell, welcome to Blackwood industries.â
The two shook hands.
âYou start in two weeks. Get all your affairs in order. Youâll be sent an email for all your bank information.â
âT-Thank you sir.â
He nodded. âHave a good day.â
Bo smiled and left the room, grinning.
Mr. Harker saw a spider on the table. He offered a hand to it and it crawled up his arm to his shoulder. He smiled.
Bo walked back through the hallway.
âHey. Howâd it go?â Link looked over.
Bo smiled. âI got the job.â
âTha-Thatâs great.â
ââŚdo you always stutter?â
Link chuckled. âonly around certain people.â
Bo smiled a bit, then swallowed hard. It felt like a knot had formed in their throat.
âyou alright?â
The lights were so bright. They blinked hard as the sounds of the building suddenly rushed to their ears. Every air conditioner, electrical outlet, even cars outside.
âBo?â
They looked up at Link and the world swam. âIâŚdonât feel good.â
They didnât know how but they ended up in links arms.
âYouâre burning up.â
Their mouth went dry.
âIâm gonna take you home.â
âC-Call Sorcha.â
Their hands felt wet and clammy as they handed him their phone. Something was wrong. They breathed shakily.
They didnât process much after that. The world was blurred. One moment they were in their car, Link saying something they didnât process the next they were being carried into a hospital. The next Sorcha holding their hand as an IV went into their system.
Then everything went dark.
âBo...Bo!â
They were in an endless expanse of darkness. They looked around. Who was calling their name? They sounded so far away.
âBo!â
The voice was unfamiliar but comforting.
âWho are you?â Bo called.
âBo!â The voice repeated. âI canât see you.â
âHello?â
Bo saw a flash of light in the distance. They started heading towards it.
âI canât see you.â
Bo started running as the light became brighter. âWho are you!?â
Bo gasped awake.
âBo!â
They looked over and saw Sorcha. She smiled in relief. âIâm glad youâre awake.â
âChacha, where are we?â
âHospital. Your friend took you here, and called me.â
ââŚWho?â
âHey.â They looked over and saw link who was holding sodas and snacks. âYoure awake.â
Bo nodded. âHow longâŚâ
âA week. The doctors didnât know what was wrong with you though.â
Bo stared at him. ââŚYou stayed?â
Link nodded.
They blinked hard, their head starting to pound.
âLets get a doctor in here.â Sorcha said.
It was two full days of testing and monitoring before they were allowed to go home. Link and Sorcha there to keep them company.
Finally they were allowed to go home when the headaches and pain subsided and the doctors said everything was back to normal.
Sorcha kept a close eye on them as they came back into the house.
âAre you sure youâre feeling okay?â
âChaCha, Iâm fine.â Bo chuckled. âNow itâs my night to cook dinner. Are you gonna hover over me the whole time or am I gonna have to lock you in your room?â
Sorcha rolled her eyes. âFine. But if anything goes wrong Iâm taking over.â
Bo rolled their eyes as they walked into their room, going to change.
They pulled off their shirt as they looked in the mirror. Then paused.
Did they have some muscle?
Bo felt their arm and found that yes, they had some. Which was weird cause they never exercised in their life.
âThe hell?â
âBo uncle damiens on the phone!â Sorcha called.
Bo threw on a clean shirt and ran to the kitchen.
âHow they doing?â Damien asked from the other side.
âOh you can ask them yourself.â Sorcha grinned and handed Bo the phone. They glared at her a bit before speaking.
âHey.â
âHey kiddo. I heard you got the job. How you feeling?â
âIm completely fine. The doctors said so. Probably just too many over night shifts in a row.â
âWell im excited to see you put that brain to good use. Itâs about time.â
ââŚYou didnât pull any strings, did you?â
âOther than giving you a glowing review, all of which was true, no. Thatâs all you kiddo.â
âThanks. Why donât you come over for dinner tomorrow? Weâll make your favorite.â
âHow could I say no? Iâll see you two then. I love you.â
âLove you!â both Sorcha and Bo said before hanging up.
ââŚYou look freaked out.â Sorcha said, raising an eyebrow.
ââŚI have muscles.â
Sorcha gave them a confused look.
Bo pulled off their shirt, letting it fall. Or at least they tried to. It stuck to their hand. They shook it, trying to get it off.
âThat isnât funny.â
âIts stuck.â Bo used their other hand to try and pull it off only to find that, that hand was stuck. âWhat the hell!?â
âDonât rip that shirt.â
âyou try getting it off then.â
Sorcha rolled her eyes and grabbed the shirt, tugging, only to discover she couldnât pull it off either. âOkay what the fuck.â
âThatâs what Iâm saying!â
Sorcha grabbed onto the edges of the shirt. âon three. OneâŚtwoâŚthree!â
The two pulled apart and Bo stumbled back and onto the wall, their hands sticking to it. âHuh.â
âWhat?â
Bo smiled and climbed up the wall, onto the ceiling.
Sorcha screamed.

Trump Show Trial For US Capitol Riot Planned By FBI-US Navy Operative Begins
By: Sorcha Faal,Â
An informative new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today questioning the sanity of socialist leader Joe Biden ordering two US aircraft carriers to conduct joint exercises in the disputed South China Sea amid tensions with a Communist China whose top naval officer Rear Admiral Lou Yuan previously warned his country's military might need to sink two US aircraft carriers and kill 10,000 American sailors to solve disputes over the South China Sea, notes this is occurring at the same time elites in the leftist US media, big tech giants and the socialist Democrat Party are absurdly claiming that the worst terrorist attack in the past decade occurred in the US Capitol on 6 January where four Trump supporters were killed and one police officer lost his life for still undisclosed reasonsâabsurd claims made astonishing in light of these same forces having supported the leftist terrorist riots seen all across America last year that cost a record setting over $2-billion in damage, killed dozens and injured hundreds.
Though most crucially to notice, is the âchilling factâ that what occurred at the US Capitol on 6 January was known about far ahead of timeâwhich is why President Donald Trump directly ordered the Department of Defense to put on standby 10,000 troops to protect the US Capitol and multible times offered them to the leaders of Washington D.C., who outright refused themâa refusal to use these troops offered by President Trump that analysts at the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) say was given on the orders of Thomas Caldwell, whom the SVR has long identified as being a secret operative of the US intelligence community since he retired from the US Navy, where he held the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI)âthen last month saw the FBI arresting Caldwell for planning the breeching of the US Capitol, and them calling him the leader of the far-right Oath Keepers militia groupâbut yesterday saw Caldwellâs lawyers filing documents with the US Federal Court proving that he has held a top-secret security clearance for decades, ran a consulting firm that did classified work for the US government, and worked as a section chief for the FBI from 2009 to 2010 after retiring from the US Navy.
All of which are facts being kept from the American people by their leftist media, big tech and socialist Democrat Party overlordsâas these maniacal forces are, instead, focusing all of their attention on putting on a Soviet-era âshow trialâ to unjustly persecute President Trumpâthat is a public trial in which the judicial authorities have already determined the guilt of the defendantâas the actual trial has as its only goal the presentation of both the accusation and the verdict to the public so they will serve as both an impressive example and a warning to other would-be dissidents or transgressorsâand in this sham impeachment trial of President Trump, sees the judge presiding over it being socialist Democrat Party leader US Senator Patrick Leahy, who already declared that President Trump is guilty before the trial even begins.
As this âshow trialâ begins today with a debate being held as to what power the US Senate even has to hold it, Trumpâs lawyers point out the facts that: âThe purpose of impeachment is to remove someone from office, and unequivocally, this impeachment trial is not about removing someone from office, as Mr. Trump left office on January 20, 2021âŚHe is now both factually and legally, a private citizenââthen sees Trumpâs lawyers warning that this âshow trialâ spectacle âopens up an absurd Pandoraâs boxâ, after which they ask: âWho will House Democrats try to impeach next, George Washington?ââthough best explaining what is really happening is the just published Wall Street Journal article âWhy Democrats Want a Trump Trialâ, wherein it reveals: âSo why hold this trial?...The answer is transparently politicalâŚHatred for Donald Trump is the Democratic Partyâs single most unifying principleâŚDemocrats have prospered politically since Mr. Trump was elected, and theyâd like to keep him as a foil for as long as they canâ.
With these socialist Democrats and their leftist media and big tech lapdogs failing to remember that last years impeachment of President Trump caused his approval rating to hit a new high, this new âshow trialâ sees them walking into political disaster once againâand as evidenced by the âshow trialâ deal just negotiated by socialist Democrat Party head US Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer and Republican Party head US Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnellâa deal that sets the stage for a rapid for ending this farceâand sees several US Senate aides, speaking on the condition of anonymity, saying they expect an acquittal vote as soon as next Mondayâwhich is Presidentsâ Dayâand whose hilarious irony of President Trump being acquitted on the day that celebrates past great American leaders is not being lost on anyoneâmost particularly his former campaign manager Brad Parscale, who yesterday said: âIf Trump asked me how to win againâŚI would run on being impeached twiceâŚThey are about to give him superpowersâŚThey just arenât smart enough to see itâŚItâs why we laughed at Mike Tyson in the HangoverâŚThey just donât get it yetâŚThey are about to make him a martyrâ.  [Note: Some words and/or phrases appearing in quotes in this report are English language approximations of Russian words/phrases having no exact counterpart.]
According to this report, with police state âshow trialsâ being designed as media distractions to keep citizens from knowing what their leaders are doing, this one involving President Trump is no differentâwith this being best exampled by this âshow trialâ being used to hide the 52 executive actions signed by socialist leader Biden intended to destroy Americaâits hiding a shocking 2018 video of socialist leader Kamala Harris laughing hysterically at the thought of President Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and Attorney General Jeff Sessions being murderedâits hiding the fact that Bidenâs CIA Director pick William Burns was president of a think tank that took millions-of-dollars from Communist Chinese Party-tied entitiesâits hiding the fact that Biden gave a top position at the Department of Justice to the nasty Pamela Karlan, who previously mocked and made fun of President Trumpâs young boy child Barronâits hiding the fact that last night Biden ordered all of President Trumpâs appointed US Attorneys to immediately end their investigations and resignâand its hiding the fact that yesterday 24 leftist US Federal judges suddenly resigned to become senior judges at the same pay so Biden can replace them with even more leftist judges.
As a further example of how deranged America is becoming, this report notes, this is being evidenced by whatâs has occurred since socialist leader Biden declared that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes would win the Super Bowlâa declaration followed by the greatest quarterback in history Tom Brady crushing Mahomes in this football gameâthatâs now resulted in Bidenâs socialist-leftist forces branding Brady a racist because he won this game during Black History Monthâthough one should expect such lunacy coming from a nation where more shocking evidence keeps being revealed about how the election was stolen from President Trump, and its US Capitol building now sees shining over it a weird hologram.

For what the American people can expect as Bidenâs socialist noose wraps ever tighter around their necks, this report concludes, it should see them noticing Germany, where in 2019, its socialist leaders ordered all of their coal fired electricity plants closed so they could rely on renewable energy---and is where today millions of Germans are living under a just declared state of emergency because a single power plant had a fire and cut off all heating waterâsocialist insanity being matched by Biden, whoâs just been warned by the Congressional Budget Office that his $15 an hour minimum wage will cost over 1.4-million jobsâand is why in the just published article âBiden's Early Returns Aren't Getting Any Better - Most Americans Expect It Will Get Worseâ itâs being reported: âDespite the fawning press, late-night show hosts, and cultural elites, Americans do not seem to be convincedâŚIn a new poll, 54% of American adults think the economy will worsen over the next 12 months or remain the same...Following President Trumpâs inauguration, 50% reported thinking the economy would be better in a year, which was the highest number recorded by Rasmussen since they started asking the question in 2009ââall of which while being viewed by President Trump, saw Newsmax host Greg Kelly telling his audience after vesting with him this weekend: âI Can Tell You This, His Spirits Are High â Heâs on Top of Everythingâ.

Spider Bo Spider Bo Does Whatever A Spider Bo Does
Chapter 4
They sped as fast as they could towards the lab. They wished they could go faster but the city was a pain in the ass to get through.
They finally made it close enough. They parked their car far away to make sure that no one knew it was theirs. They put on the mask, despite the stupidity of it. They pulled up their hood and hoped no one would recognize them.
They got out of the car and ran towards the action.
They first heard gunshots. Police, no doubt.
Bo snuck forward, careful not to give themselves away as they looked up.
âWhere is Caldwell?â An electronic voice called.
The man in a blue mask, hooded and covered in some odd kind of suit and gloves, floated on a board. He shot electricity towards the hostages he had below him, trapped by a sort of electrical cage coming from the board. The hostages screamed, covering their heads. Bo looked over and saw their uncle get out of the car, making himself known despite police trying to pull him back.
âIâm here. Iâm here. What do you want?â Damien held his hands up in the air, showing he had no weapons.
âNo, no.â Bo mumbled. They watched as the two looked at each other.
âWhere is the serum?â
Damien twitched. âI donât know what youâre talking about.â
âYoure lying.â
Bo frowned. He was going to get himself killed. Or someone else.
âLets try this again.â He floated down, and grabbed a man, hand lighting up with electricity as he moved it towards his neck. âSerum, or he dies.â
Bo had to do something. Whatever this Serum was, it had to be important. They moved and crawled up the side of the building. Maybe they could tackle the guy.
âThe fuck is that?â an officer called out.
Shit.
They climbed up the rest of the building, perching on the edge. Everyone was staring at them, including the masked person. He hadnât dropped the hostage but it was something.
ââŚWho are you?â The guy asked.
ââŚShit I didnât think of a name. Uh, Iâm here to stop you, guy!â
The man dropped his hostage, leaving him scrambling back to the others. The villain laughed.
âIs that so? With a cat mask on your face?â
Bo blushed under the mask. âShut it. Leave these people alone.â
âThis doesnât concern you. Leave before I kill you. Actually-â
A bolt of electricity was shot out of the manâs hand and Bo dodged quickly, their senses activating in the knick of time. The villain was suddenly in front of them and threw a punch. They got hit and were thrown to the ground, him on top of them.
They kicked him in the stomach, making him roll. They saw the electric cage flicker. They just needed to distract him enough for the hostages to escape.
They saw a glimmer of something metal and saw that he had pulled a knife. Then it lit up with lightning.
âYou bring a knife to a fist fight? How rude!â
They managed to dodge the knife as it hurled towards them. He shot electricity at them with his other hand. They were doing flips they didnât know they could do to dodge.
âStop it!â The man said. âStand still and let me hit you.â
âWhy the hell would I do that?â
They got shot in the shoulder. They yelled as electricity shot through their veins.
âThatâs why.â
They breathed heavily for a moment, and then got up. The man looked confused, the cage flickering once more.
âYou should be unconscious.â
Bo chuckled. âCool. Super healing.â And they punched him in the face.
He stumbled backwards and the cage disappeared, the hostages running to the police. The man scowled.
âJust answer me one thing.â Bo said. âWhat serum were you looking for?â
âheh. Fight me again, and you might just find out.â
He summoned his board, and flew away. Bo shook their hand which was probably bruised. Everyone on ground level stared at them. They paused for a long moment, then jumped off the roof, and into the trees, hoping they could find their car.
..
It took an hour to find it. But they finally made it. They jumped into their car and pulled off the mask, looking at themselves in the mirror. A black eye. They were sweating like crazy. They pulled off their jacket and gloves, pumping the air conditioner.
They looked at their phone. A message from Uncle Damien.
âHey kiddos. Iâm alright. Everyone is okay. Iâm going to the hospital with some of my people and making sure theyâre okay. And Bolo, I think I saw your Spiderman. He saved a lot of people. Tell him thank you. And when you see him again, tell him I have a present for him.â
Bo smiled softly. Despite the accidental misgendering it made Bo happy that he was okay.
They got back to the house, grabbing the clothes and throwing them in the laundry bin by the door.
âIâm back.â
Sorcha came out from the kitchen, holding first aid equipment. âyou got electrocuted. Take your shirt off.â
âSorcha I ca-â
âDid it sound like a request?â
Bo sighed and pulled off their shirt. Sorcha frowned at the burn marks already healing on their body. Their shoulder, down their spine was covered in a electrical burn.
âYikes, Bo.â
âIâm perfectly fine. Black eye and a good burn but Iâm okay.â
She frowned as she pulled them into the kitchen, making them sit backwards so she could probably clean their back.
âI saw the whole thing on the news. That was really dangerous.â
ââŚI saved a lot of people.â
âYeah you did⌠You need a better mask.â
âyou gave me the stupid cat mask.â
âIm gonna make a suit for you. And I wonât be taking no for an answer.â
Bo sighed. ââŚcan I at least decide on the colors?â
âyep.â
Bo chuckled. ââŚThanks chacha. Iâll help pay for it.â
âYou better with that swanky new job.â
âSwanky?â
âitâs a fun word.â
Bo chuckled, then winced at a spot she hit, not quite healed yet.
âYou have to be more careful next time.â
âWho says thereâs going to be a-ow!â Bo bit their lip at Sorcha hitting another part that hadnât healed over.
âSorryâŚI can see you healing. Its kind of amazing. But dangerous with any dirt that hasnât been cleanedâŚyou could get sick.â
âSorcha...â Bo sighed.
âIm just worriedâŚI canât protect you out there. I cant lose you.â
Bo turned to look at her. âSorcha. You wonât lose me.â
She stopped, hands dropping to her sides. She didnât look at them. âHow do you know?â she asked in a small voice.
Bo stood, pulling her into a hug. âBecause even if I die, I will haunt you for the rest of your life.â
She hugged them carefully. âpromise?â
âI promise.â
..
Link woke up at home. His chest hurt bad.
He got out of bed, going to the restroom to look in the mirror.
He had a huge black purple and green bruise on his chest. Shaped like two feet. The fuck?
He checked the time. 9 pm. Last thing he remembered heâŚ
âŚheâŚ
He hard blinked. What was he thinking about? His stomach growled. Time to make some dinner, he guessed.
His phone buzzed. Bo was texting him.
âHey we still on for dinner tomorrow night?â
Right he was supposed to go to the store today to pick out food. Heâd have to do it tomorrow.
âYeah. Any allergies or dislikes I should know about?â
âIâm slightly allergic to sesame seeds but thatâs about it.â
âOh really?â
âYeah. Gives me a rash but nothing life ending.â
âWell Iâll keep those out of whatever I make.â
âThanks. Iâm gonna bake something. Any allergies for you?â
âNope. Bake to your hearts content.â
Bo sent a thumbs up, making Link chuckle. He put down his phone and started cooking dinner.

Spider Bo Spider Bo Does Whatever A Spider Bo Does
Chapter 3
Bo brushed their hair back, swallowing hard as they stood in front of Tony and Shoneys pizza. They just had to grab the handle.
Just the handle.
Donât rip off the door like this morning.
As gently as they could, they opened the door. Inside they could see Link. He waved.
Bo smiled, waving back and joined him at the table.
âHey! Itâs good to see you!â Link grinned.
âYeah you too. How are you? I havenât seen you since the hospital.â
âIâm good.â Link said, eyeing Bo over. Bo blushed at seeing Link linger on their lips, then their arms. âYou look really goodâŚ.been working out?â
âYeah, actually. Doing some rock climbing.â Bo chuckled nervously. They hated lying but a necessary evil, they supposed.
âThatâs a dangerous hobby.â
âHeh, I guess.â
The two ordered their slices and Bo paid quickly.
âSo, you excited to start work in a few days?â Link asked.
âOh absolutely.â Bo bit into their pizza and swallowed before speaking again. âI got a letter from my previous job that Iâm already let go from itâŚIâm guessing thatâs something to do with not wanting to pay the medical.â
Link frowned. âThatâs really shitty.â
âYeah but Blackwood has better medical so it is what it is. No use fighting it when I have something better.â
Link shrugged. âIf you say so.â He took a bite of his pizza. âSo do you like video games?â
âYeah, actually. Have you played any Zelda games?â
âDude ive played all of them.â
Bo grinned. âBet I can beat you at smash bros.â
âYou, me, tonight. My apartment.â
Bo chuckled. âSorry Iâm having my uncle over for dinner. How about tomorrow?â
âitâs a date.â
Bo blushed.
Link blushed. âNo-not like that. I mean, unless you want it to be like that. Oh my god.â
Bo chuckled, smiling. âid like it to be.â
Links face turned red up to his ears. âMe tooâŚIâll make dinner.â
âId like that. Iâll bring dessert.â
âSounds good.â
Bo was about to say something when they started feeling weird. Time slowed down. Something was wrong they could feel it.
They caught something in their hand. Like it was instinct.
They looked over. One of those heavy salt shakers. It would have hit them in the face, maybe given them a black eye. They looked over and saw a teenager, probably not older than 14. He was yelling some hateful things but Bo had heard worse, besides, the manager was getting on his case for them.
âOh my god. Are you okay?â Link asked.
âIâŚyeah, yeah Iâm good.â
âHow did you do that?â
Bo didnât have an answer. Nothing that didnât sound completely insane, anyway.
âluckyâŚI guess.â
âextremely.â
Link looked down at his phone, blinking. There was a weird look on his face. Bo couldnât place it.
âI have to go.â Link said. âWork, you know? Are you going to be okay?â
âIll be fine. Go back.â
Link smiled. There was something behind his eyes, odd and like Bo was suddenly unfamiliar. It made Bo nervous for a reason they didnât know. They watched Link hawk down the rest of his food and ran off.
They called Sorcha. âDude, youâre never going to guess what just happened.â
..
Bo was making fresh fudge in the kitchen while Sorcha was making dinner next to them.
âI canât believe a 14 year old tried to assault you.â
âThatâs not the point. Itâs like I have a new sense for danger.â
âA tingle?â
âKind ofâŚbut itâs more like time slowed down to let me see what was wrong and my body reacted accordingly.â
â...Huh.â
The doorbell rang.
âIâll get it. Can you keep mixing my fudge?â
Sorcha nodded and grabbed their spoon as Bo walked to the front door and answered, opening the door to Damien Caldwell.
âBolo!â
âhi uncle Damien.â
Damien pulled Bo into a hug. Bo hugged back tightly before leading him to the kitchen.
âIs that your fudge I smell?â
Bo chuckled. âI know you like it warm. And Sorchas making your favorite.â They grabbed onto their spoon and continued mixing as they spoke.
Sorcha came up and hugged Damien tightly.
âHey Chacha. You kids spoil me.â
âWell we have to bribe you somehow.â Sorcha said, grinning.
The two separated.
âOkay at least let me help.â He said, setting down his things.
The three smiled, shoulder to shoulder in the kitchen, each taking on their own thing.
âThis is familiar.â Damien said at the end. âI remember you two being kids and me lifting you up to help you cook.â
Bo chuckled. âYeah. And weâd cook better than you.â
âHey!â
Sorcha giggled as she plated everything and Bo poured the Fudge into a container to set before covering it up.
The meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and corn off the cob were delicious as they began to eat.
âSo, uncle DamienâŚâ Bo began, looking st their food. âHave you ever heard of someoneâŚgaining muscle after an accident?â
He raised an eyebrow at his Neicphew. âGaining muscle?â
âYeahâŚI was uh, reading about it online.â
âProbably some fake stuff. You shouldnât believe everything you read, you know.â
âY-Yeah I know.â Bo bit their cheek. âWhat about sticking to walls?â
âSticking to walls?â Damien looked at Bo. âOh youâre messing with me. Which video games are you referencing huh? Some sort of spiderman?â
Bo chuckled. âYou got me. But if it was too happen in real lifeâŚwhat do you think would be the consequences?â
Damien swallowed some food, thinking. âHm. Well, there would be a change in the body fundamentally. Sickness maybe, though hard to say what that would look like, Iâm not a doctor, but depending on the type of spider and whatâs been done to it, not to mention the body and itâs own factors, you could develop a better jump capability , and be able to stick to wallsâŚdoes your spiderman do that in the game?â
âYeah. Um, also he has some of sense. For danger.â
âAh, a warning system. Must be a really good mechanic. Some spiders have that you know, you should ask Mr Harker. He works with the spiders.â
âI donât think heâs intoâŚvideo games.â
âHe doesnât strike me as the sort, true. But itâs obviously sparked some curiosity in you. Maybe heâd like to hear it.â
âI donât knowâŚIâm just starting in a couple days.â
Sorcha had stopped eating, looking at her phone.
âSorcha?â Bo asked, noticing her expression.
âTheres been an attack. At damiens lab.â
She pulled up the video.
âWe are standing outside the Caldwell institute, reporting live as a-â
The reporter was cut off by a strike of electricity to the camera. There was some screaming.
Damien went silent, then stood. âBoth of you stay here.â
âUncle Damien you shouldnât go there itâs dangerous.â Sorcha said.
âI have people there. Good people. I wonât leave them. Stay here. Iâll be back.â
Damien didnât leave room for them to argue as he walked out the door and sped off.
Sorcha and Bo looked at each other.
âBoâŚDonât.â Sorcha pleaded quietly. She knew what her twin was thinking.
âI have to help.â
âdo you?â
âWhatever that was, it might be like me. And like uncle Damien said, thereâs good people there. Somebody has to help.â
Sorcha sighed. âOkayâŚbut youâre not going in that.â
A couple minutes later Sorcha dug through her closet and threw Bo a green skimask with a cat on it.
âReally?â
âIts this or a plastic mask, and that wonât surviveâŚthis. Stop being a wimp put it on.â
They grumbled and did so, then covered the rest of their body with jackets and gloves. Unfortunately they only had fingerless gloves from their week long goth phase in highschool. It would have to work.
Sorcha pulled Bo in for a hug as they were headed to the door. âBe careful.â
âI will.â
She pulled away and nodded, watching them speed away in their own car.
She hoped they wouldnât die.

Spider Bo Spider Bo Does Whatever A Spider Bo Does
Chapter 2
âWhy was your first instinct to climb up the wall?â Sorcha yelled.
Bo shrugged from their place on the ceiling. âI donât know. Just felt like it.â
âGet down from there before you break the ceiling open.â
âFineâŚif I can figure it out.â
âBo.â
They chuckled and tried to concentrate on unsticking. Then they fell directly onto sorcha. Sorcha yelled out as she was thrown to the ground under her sibling. There was a silence for a second, then the two laughed.
âDude. You have powers.â
âSo it seems I doâŚwanna use them irresponsibly?â
âLike you had to ask.â
The two looked up at a tall building, looking around to make sure no one was watching.
âYou should climb up that backwards, freak some people out.â Sorcha said.
âI barely know how to do it normal.â Bo laughed. âBut what I can doâŚâ Bo pulled up the hood of their jacket. If the police were called, they didnât want to be caught. They climbed up, looking for a pole to jump on. Luckily there was a light not far from the building.
This could either go really good or really bad, they thought. Sorcha was right there though. They jumped to the light post and stuck to it, hanging.
Sorcha screamed and then laughed. âGod youâre dumb! Can you pull yourself up?â
Bo nodded, then used their upper body strength. Something they had never used before outside of school and even then they couldnât do it this well.
They perched on the pole, grinning. âThis is so cool!â
âYoure like a spider!â
âYeahâŚyeah I amâŚâ they paused, jumping down and stumbling but getting their footing back in a moment. âSorcha I think I just realized something.â
ââŚ.that tone is concerning.â
ââŚI think one of Mr. Harkens spiders bit me at the lab. He was doing experiments on them. I thought it was just a weird feeling but-â
âThat would kind of explain the spidey powers, and the fact that you passed out for a week. If your body was being changed like some kind of comic book character it makes sense.â
Bo bit their cheek. âIâm nervous. What if it kills me?â
âif it was going to I think youâd already be dead. Lets cross that bridge when we get to it, okay?â
Bo nodded. ââŚitâs dinner time. What you say we stay out and get some sushi?â
âNow youre speaking my language.â
The two walked a bit down the street.
âWe should talk to Link.â Sorcha said. âHes a scientist.â
âHes not a doctor though.â Bo said as they approached the restaurant.
âHed be able to figure out whatâs going on. Better than either of us. Weâre no geniuses.â
âTrue.â They walked in. âIt might be dangerous though. I mean, what happened to meâŚif it gets outâŚcould be bad. Not just for me, for you, for anyone Im associated with.â
Sorcha paused. ââŚyeahâŚyeah youâre rightâŚbut letâs talk to uncle Damien tomorrow night. We donât have to disclose anything butâŚletâs get some information. Beyond jumping and acrobatics.â
Bo curled in on themselves. Eyes flittering side to side as their brain began running away.
Sorcha kicked them under the table.
âOw!â They rubbed their leg.
âIts gonna be okay. So stop letting your stupid head race like that. I wonât let anything happen to you.â
âThanks ChaCha.â
âYeah. By the way, I got links phone number. Heâs been asking about you, and I think it would make him feel better if he got answers from you.â
âWait. Heâs been asking about me?â
âYou sound excited.â
Bo blushed. âI-No. Itâs justâŚhe didnât have to wait at the hospital.â
âHe was very sweet. I think heâd be good for you. He likes you, and was concerned about you. You need friends. Beyond me.â
âKettle meet pot.â
âBo.â
âIâll try. Okay?â
She smiled, and gave him Links phone number.
Link woke up in a strange place. His head felt like it was made of cotton his mouth was dry. A blur moved over him.
âCongratulations Mr. Herrons, your experiments have been deemed ready for the next phase.â
âWhâŚâ
A mask was placed over his mouth and nose. He breathed in chemicals, and his eyes rolled back in his head.
There were vague feelings. Electricity coursing through his body. It hurt. He couldnât breathe. He tried to scream but it felt as if he didnât have a mouth to scream from.
He faded in and out and he forgot the pain. He forgot the fear. All he remembered was falling asleep in his chair at work.
Link snorted awake.
He blinked, sniffling. His body hurt. Probably from the way he had been leaning over his desk. He popped his back, stretching out.
There was no one else in the lab space. Not the first time heâd woken up alone after a long night.
He checked his phone, a text from Sorcha.
âHey Bo has your phone number. Theyâll be texting you soon. ;)â
He raised an eyebrow at the winky face as he marked it as read.
âHey, I need to repay you for staying in the hospital with me and my sister. When are you free?â
Link smiled, adding Links number into his phone before replying.
âTomorrow, I have an hour lunch around 1âŚdo you like pizza?â
Link thought it was too late at night for Bo to respond but surprisingly, Bo answered fairly quickly.
"I love pizza. See you tomorrow."
Link smiled to himself, hung up his lab coat, and walked out of the building.
