I love Tim and his ships sm. Me personally, I only really ship TimKon. Those two are perfect for eachother and have so much clear queer coding that it’s crazy, and they have dialogue that’s just. gay shaped.

I also get TimBart, I don’t ship it romantically but I get why people do!! Tim and Bart are close as well, and the balance they get between ‘depressed tired wet cat’ and ‘living breathing embodiment of adhd’ is great.

I also get TimBartKon, they’re a trio. They are always a trio, so many people like to bring up how TimKon has so much coding and one of the big examples they use is when Tim tried to clone Kon. You know who else he tried to clone? Bart.

The only Tim ship I don’t get is TimBern, or any ship involving those two. When Bernard first appears, he’s Tim’s bully. He actively makes fun of tim and puts him down and then that character is forgotten about until Tim comes out as bi, then they just rework his character and go “haha guys this is his boyfriend not bully ygs are crazy” and just forget about all the bad stuff Bernard did? Reworking a character is great and all but, it just feels a bit weird and out of place for me. There’s always going to be that certain toxicity for TimBern, at least for me.

okay, im gonna start off by saying you have all the right to not ship them, and im not here to defend timbern as a ship. im here to defend BERNARD DOWD.

first thing bernard does is give tim advice about teachers, and he clearly says they're gonna be good friends.

if bernard was a bully, tim wouldn't hang around him so much. besides, i hate it when people place tim as a helpless little boy who would get bullied. he has put himself in situations where he looks weak on purpose to keep his identity safe, but he's not a victim at all. tim is a social butterfly because he's really good at masking and reading people.

not to mention, both bernard and darla push tim a lot because they're trying to get him to open up and be closer to them, but he keeps pushing them away. tim is a professional liar.

and when tim has to quit robin and start hanging out with normal people, he invites bernard over.

and bernard is acting relatively normal, and he wants to play video games and talk about how hot tim's stepmom is.

bernard is a normal teenager who has no idea one of his friends is the hero he's so obsessed with. he even shows concern for robin dying and makes up an entire conspiracy theory about batman havin a robin orphanage. you can tell he's afraid of robin being gone for real because at this point they haven't seen robin in months bc tim retired.

i dont know what about all of these interactions gave you the vibe that he's a bully because all i see is a normal teenager teasing his friends and being jealous tim gets more bitches.

im not saying that bernard was never mean or weird around tim, but he definitely wasn't actively bullying tim.

bernard is obnoxious and cocky, yes. but thats just because they wrote him as a real person. he's the school's chameleon, maybe even a little bit of a loser, too. he knows everyone but keeps a safe distance so that he doesn't get pushed into a box. im not sure if, at this point, he was already in a cult or being indoctrinated, but when we see his parents and the dowd home in tim drake: robin that just doesn't look right.

also homie talk about "forgetting all the bad things bernard did" (which in my opinion is none but okay lets follow that logic) everyone forget about all the bad things batman did to tim, he was not a kind and loving mentor, he was cruel to both tim and steph. we forget that batman was kind of an asshole to damien in the beginning. all those things are forgotten for the sake of the batfam.

in conclusion: we're just so used to the idea that superheroes can only ever form strong friendship bonds by having near death experiences together that we forget that the secret identifies exist and that the people who know them by their legal name also means a lot to them. after all, these people are the reason why they're heroes.

First impressions on every contestant!

Millie

Was really interested on the possibility of a nerdy character from her introduction, but I feel like my biggest gripe with her is the whole “my generation” thing, it just feels slightly mean spirited and not realistic for a personality trait. Teens generally don’t like being told that their generation sucks or that they’re all dumb or have their use of technology criticized. The ones that do dislike their generation are those either trying to receive approval from older people or “I was born in the wrong generation” type kids. She’s just, unrelatable.

Axel

Her voice is higher than I expected, I like the survival theme and was surprised we got another zombie conspiracy nut in the cast (so happy we got a Shawn cameo/reference as well!) she really is like a mix of Jo and Eva with a sprinkle of Shawn and I wish we got to see more of her!

Priya

Super interesting to see a contestant raised by TD fans, and her intro was amazing! Baby and toddler Priya! Owen reference! She is 100% going to be an interesting character. I guess there’s also a subversion of a big Desi stereotype with her, she wants to go to med school but her parents want her to enter a more unconventional and unstable field, I don’t know exactly how to feel about this, specially since I’m not desi myself.

Zee

My man!!! I love me a skater/surfer dude and the Jude vibes are impeccable!! He is so chill and just here to vibe. I’ve audibly laughed at multiple of his lines and just love him so much. I also think he’s neat amputee rep, he’s casual about it and was just born that way, but can make fun stories up about it.

Ripper

Am I disappointed by the fart and potty jokes? Yes, but besides that I actually really like his character! An annoying bully who despite his best efforts is a loser. Also if his voice doesn’t fuel the nowen child headcanons out there I don’t know what will.

Damien

A total newbie! Very opposite to Priya in this case and also super interesting character trait for him, I hope both him and Priya can function a bit to show off the POV of both old and new fans alike. He’s also very entertaining :)

Scary girl

Exactly what I expected from her and more! She is very much one dimensional compared to most the rest but I love her! I love wildcards! So excited to see her shenanigans

Bowie

Introducing yourself as the first openly gay contestant is definitely a first impression! I’ve got to say I adore his competitive and scheming nature and you can tell he’s in it to win it, he also has amazing social skills and is overall an icon. I know not everyone will be into the idea of the first openly queer contestant being very stereotypical but I’ve always thought that just as while his sexuality isn’t the center of his personality and there’s at least another queer character that isn’t as stereotypical it’s all good, and by the looks of it that will be the case. Also I know multiple gay dudes that act just as him so I have a bias.

Chase

Did not expect a stunt Youtuber type guy but I definitely should’ve seen it coming, also DRAMA?? Pre established EXES??? I am so interested in seeing how this pans out

Emma

I love her voice first of all and I did not expect her to have been part of the stunt Youtuber group, hope the ex drama isn’t all there is to her character and I really enjoy her friendship with Bowie so far!

Oh I love her, we haven’t seen a character like her before and she has so much potential! A character that knows she’s underestimated and takes advantage of that? Yes please!

Caleb

Pretty much a Justin copy, I can’t really say much about him and we knew how things were going to pan out so I can only hope he’ll make if farther and get more development next season.

Hockey dudes! They’re such jocks and can sense the “makes fun of me lightly for being unathletic but cheers for me when I finally start participating in sports” energy from them so hard, they’re fun guys and feel so much like real teen boys.

Nichelle

An actual TV star! I didn’t see that coming but I love it! Love seeing the little flashbacks to her shows and movies and seeing someone in the show be treated as an actual celebrity, she’s also as far as I’ve seen pretty smart, level headed, and humble for a TV celebrity! So interested in seeing her work!

Julia

The influencer chick! Her intro was amazing and I definitely didn’t expect her to be into healing crystals, feel like she’ll be a very interesting character and I await her interactions with Nichelle.

One of my favorite things about Smosh is how everyone interprets the inter-cast relationships. Like Ian is obviously the dad, but then the other dad came back from buying cigarettes and now there's two dads again. And like Amanda gives off huge big sister vibes (pun intended) when with Shayne (imo remember) but also dommy mommy vibes to other people. And like Arasha is w/o a doubt Ian's favorite child, and cigarette dad has to like her because he likes Ian, but he doesn't just want there to be one favorite so he has to let her slap him super hard and not get angry. Chanse and Shayne are shippable but also bros. So are Damien and Shayne. So are Courtney and Shayne so are Shayne and anyone but Amanda. And Angela gives little sister vibes to everyone despite being 30. And then Tommy is Courtney's gay BFF who is just always at the house and Spenser is the older brother who had to go to college when everyone else was in Kindergarten and now sometimes his bangers miss, but they all love each other anyway. It's so confusing and interesting based on the vibes you feel.

I don’t have a big, overarching, destined by fate reason for my pick, and yet there was no contest in my head. I can’t think of a cuter match for you than Hudson.

There’s so many little things that work here that I love. Hudson is almost definitely an EDM, raver boy, so he would have all the amazing playlists to share with you. He also strikes me as an active dude, someone that’s not unfamiliar with fitness. (Maybe he goes before and after radio shifts to take advantage of those 24 hour gyms?) Also, because he presumably has good taste in movies, he also loves the 90’s Heath Ledger classic romcom (and Heath Ledger in general. Like I said, Hudson has good taste.)

In general, he’d be a really cute, supportive, fun boyfriend to have. Hudson would show up to any and all softball games he can, threatening to serenade you from the seats/bleachers like a cheeseball. If he can’t be there, he’s regaling his listeners with play by play updates between songs, because goddamn, Hudson would be the best hype man.

Priya: She gives me Courtney vibes but like a very nice and more shy version of Courtney.

Millie: She's like LeShawna but only the supportive best friend parts and not the sassy parts. Probably will be best friends with Priya.

Ripper: Getting a Noah and Owen fusion here. I'm guessing sarcastic and lazy.

Wayne and Raj: The male versions of Katie and Sadie. They also remind me of the step brothers, but hopefully less obnoxious. I think they will be fun. I can see them being a couple of bumbling buffoons always getting hurt. Basically I think they're both going to be Tyler.

Emma: She reminds me of Sadie from Steven Universe. Hoping she goes far and has a similar src of feeling unsure of herself and persevering anyway.

Gavin - all of them "Falsettos" and "Victor/Victoria" and "Rocky Horror Picture Show" - of course Gavin is getting flamboyant queer things with a more or less actually dramatic flair.

Huxley - "Mamma Mia!" - definitely knows all the songs by heart and is very much down to sing along to all of them together (maybe, if you're lucky, even to dance a bit).

Lasko - "Yentl" - hands down, I can't really explain it (or maybe I can because it's also very queer and about hiding your identity and being cast out form your community).

Damien - the obvious answer is "Hamilton" but also "Funny Girl" - you can't persuade me that he wouldn't admire the main character with her strength and determination.

Caelum - "Mary Poppins" (1964) and "The Sound of Music" - he definitely loves the main characters and enjoys singing along.

David - "West Side Story" - he gives me the vibe of loving old classics.

Asher - "To Boldly Go" (I'm joking but yes - there's a "Star Trek" musical) and "Little Shop of Horrors" - he likes his musicals comedic and a little campy.

Milo - "Chicago" - he definitely taps his foot the bit and does jazz-hands at you for a few days afterwards.

Vincent - "Tommy" - this man likes artistic slightly psychedelic stuff. (Or maybe I just don't know any vampire musicals that were actually filmed.)

Sam - "Carousel" - another old classics lover - be prepared for a discussion of morality afterwards though. (Be thankful I didn't put "Calamity Jane" or "Oklahoma!" here. /hj)

Avior - "Jesus Christ Superstar" - I don't know why I keep ascribing him oddly religious things, but that's just happening. Would cry together with me you during "The Last Supper".

Cam - "Brigadoon" - it's old and has some pretty soothing music and very nice scenery in it.

Elliott - "Labyrinth" - I bet he took some inspiration in his work from this. He also likes the animatronics and fairy tale themes.

Ollie - "Hairspray" - it's fun and light hearted and has a very happy ending and nice aesthetics.

Aaron - "The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals" (I'm half joking, but...) and "Gypsy" - because it's about finding your own way in world and yet again determination.

I then I thought of a way to get at least few of those mindless sheep to our side. I whispered something in Mari-bugs ears making her nod in agreement. Then she says

"Hey Rossi, Cesare!" She calls out. the whole class turns to her. "What do you think of Bi and gay people?"

"They are so weird. who would want to kiss the same gender" said Rossi and continued talking about her and 'Dami-boo' Then Rose, Julika, Nino, Kim and Nathaniel come to us. I raise an eyebrow at them.

Then Nino clears his throat and said "We are sorry. We figured out she was lying."

"Yes I understand why Julika, rose and Nathaniel are here but why you two?" I ask

Nino was really uncomfortable with that so he looked at Mari-bug and asked her to tell me "Bee Nino and Kim used to date." She says

"How did you figure out the bitch was lying?" Mari-bug says, to which they all let out a gasp.

I let go of the Katana and go out in time to hear that the tour is over and we are going to the Wayne Manor for our stay. They were the ones doing our tour.

He sent me an aura of a miraculous holder, oh and I forgot we defeated Hawkmoth and I found out he used to abuse poor Nooro. I fixed the peacock miraculous and took away Chat's Miraculous Turns it was that spineless idiot.

Monsieur Alfred reached Chloe's room. Next was Mine as we reached my room Monsieur Alfred said something that shocked me " Ho is Nooro doing Great guardian?" I blinked once then twice then said

"I knew you gave some sort of miraculous vibe. but... something bad happened to Nooro" I said

"Is Nooro Harmed?" He asked Worry evident in his voice

"we need to go in" I said motioning towards the room He nods and we enter the room thank god it is not pink and instead black. Then I let Nooro out "Nooro do you want to meet someone?" I asked quietly

she nodded so I asked her to turn around. She turned and saw Monsieur Alfred. She got excited and literally screamed In her soft voice "Master Alfred!" And nuzzled his cheek. I smile softly and say "This is the most she has spoken. She as abused by the last holder" "You can keep her for the time being." He nods and leaves with her hidden in his pocket. He peaked in and says "you can change into your Night wear and Thank you" I just nodded.

Bruce comes in starts his speech then allows us to eat. While we were eating, Damien comes in and says "I am home father" and the girl dropped her fork. we all saw how she looked horrified. Then Damien sat down and looked directly in her eyes while she did the same. It looked like they were having a conversation with their minds. Their facial expression turned from confusion and shock to anger to almost smiling. Suddenly the sausage hair girl said

Darkiplier - It’s always the edgelords that happen to be the first alter ego, huh? At least this one has a personality and a complicated-but-in-a-good-way backstory. (100/10, always angry but always fancy.)

Mayor Damien - I keep forgetting that this poor boy started out as a friggin mayor. (80/10, confused but a sweetheart with the best character development in my opinion.)

Seer Celine - She can stab me with her axe and I’d say thank you. (90/10, badass with a rad axe.)

William J. Barnum/Wilford Warfstache - (William) Has no idea what personal boundaries are, but is a sweetheart. (Wilford) Now has no idea what ANY boundaries are, but is still a sweetheart. (1,000/10, he’s crazy but he’s trying.)

The Dream - ajt-J - this is a really good, chill album. i really like the 90s vibes of U&ME. it feels dense/long so no matter how much i listen, i don’t feel like i know the album well

Ants From Up There - Black Country, New Road - this is a good, raucous rock album. it’s weird (in a good way). i’ve only listened to it a couple times
