I want to know ppls genuine opinions on icebound ships. Cause i totally get the energy of each ship, i think basically all of them are super cute. But what are like. SHIP ships. Not just a cute concept but something more. Something that makes you pace around maybe jump up and down a little bit

CHILLS#and it hurts me so very much to think of how connected she felt to ward in that regard while he himself was preying on and manipulating her#tucking away every vulnerable detail she shared for later use#how he convinces her to trust him and that he won't turn his back on her just to be yet another person who has abused her#how when he starts talking about how he isn't a good man it must be so easy to think he's just like her - thinking she's bad and worthless#and wrong and unlovable because that's what abuse does that's what it does to you#and daisy is so keenly aware of that so much more self-aware than she's given credit for#abuse /#daisy who is actually able to articulate what ward was to her and who maybe misses what she thought he was sometimes because how could#it not be nice to for a moment have someone who understood#but who is also so keenly aware of who he is and what he has done

one thing i really really hope they eventually add back into, idk, a bg3 definitive edition or whatever is that cut camp event from act 1 early access, when ceremorphosis started and everybody actually got Sick. like. that shit was SO scary? watching everyone sweating and coughing and gasping for breath and having to reconcile with what — at the time — felt like a massive 'oh shit did i fuck up?! have we fucked up?! is this going to be the lamest tpk of all time?'? i miss it so bad honestly..... having one singular convo with lae'zel and then immediately auto-sleeping and never mentioning the sickness part again just aint the same and it never will be sorry :/

How come every other relationship in media that has had one person write a note to another because of separation, anticipating their death, different life choices, or some other gut wrenching reason has gotten a voiceover by the character(s) except daisy and coulson. DID THEY NOT GET THE MEMO

#listen I think I have a right to experience A Lot of annoyance over all this because I had to see ‘criticisms’ like that so often#this is a particularly hilarious one the same level as the people complaining about Daisy and Billy being the only ones on the Aurora cover#(there are changes with the shoot but them being the only two on the cover is the same as in the book lmao ya’ll can not read apparently#‘it’s an insult to the message of the book because it’s supposed to be the whole band on the cover and not just the Billy and Daisy show uw#you are talking about the scene in the book where the entire band in interview is mad/bitter about how they ended up going with only DB#on the cover even years later while Daisy and Billy in their interviews gush over how gorgeous and iconic the cover featuring just them is#like … ya’ll are conflating a general sentiment those chars were allowed to express with what the actual scene was grrr#it’s one of the best funniest parts of the book too like I love that part…#and if the complaint was ‘I’m sad the other interviews weren’t as extensive at that part in the show’ totally would be valid crit to me#I would have liked them to show everyone reacting in interviews too (they did show them esp Eddie be unhappy about it but#your right there wasn’t as much specific exploration in the show of how the side chars were effected. But they’re still side chars with sid#plots in the book lol#also only Karen actually deserves to be explored as a char the rest I’m more than fine with getting less and then instead investing far mor#in developing Simone’s plot and arc.)#there’s stuff with Graham I do think could have been useful/worth while thematically if they’d had the 13eps and could do it all (and I’m a#Graham hater xd) but I certainly wouldn’t prioritize it over the things the show did focus on#and it’s not remotely high on my list of things they didn’t focus on as much as I wanted. ofc#in fact like I said… I thought it was so funny they did not gaf about the Dunne brothers relationship 😭#like it is an interesting dynamic in the book there are good scenes. but I’m obsessed with their choice to not give anything to any of#Billy’s dynamics that aren’t the love triangle points and Teddy. respectable af#vs Daisy and to a lesser extent Camila both have way more developed dynamics outside of him incred#(another reason ‘they made Daisy and Camila center around Billy’ crit makes me roll my eyes#like in the sense that the love triangle is elevated in terms of focus sure. and people are free to have qualms about that choice#basically saying the show prioritized the romance for the characters and char work is accurate. saying they did that more for the girls and#less for Billy idk what show you were watching

The Daisy Jones & The Six producers were too coward to have the Camilla & Daisy scene and I am still in my feelings about it.

#watched im a virgo and some of pushing daisies#both incredibly autistic#and with the most disparate opinions on policing possible. lmao#im a virgo was good. interesting idea pretty well played out and clearly well considered#the metaphors were very cleanly drawn in a way that didnt feel heavy handed.#it is the 4th piece of media championing a young black person living the black experience in america that does a lot of hand holding about#systemic oppression that has come and come to my attention in the past 4 or so years. 3 of them coming out in the last 2#this one beat out wendall and wilde for the title of heaviest handed#it had a scene at the end in which the main antagonist had systemic oppression explained to him and he just. quit being evil after that. ig#implying that education will lead to action because no one wants to be evil. which is a choice. maybe im misinterpreting#but i think it was better executed than that film. certainly more fun to watch#i would recommend it! and i would like to see what the creators make in the future#when i say 'black american experience' i would like 2 emphasise that i know there is no singular experience nor is it an experience exclusi#to either black people or american people. but the genre is by and about people who want to highlight that experience#the others in the genre are they cloned tyrone and sorry to bother you. obviously.#ik live named peele's 'us' in correlation with this genre before but i have to kick it out because its too much of its own thing(compliment

the many frustrations of watching a screen adaptation that was almost better than the book
#so close and yet!!#and don't tell me adaptations arem't better sometimes#i am a book girl but shoeless joe v field of dreams is a prime example#are there things in the book that aren't in the movie that i enjoy? yes#was the movie right to streamline them? yes and yes#and sometimes it's so close and all the ingredients are there and then it becomes#wait no why did you do that#that was better in the book#i wasn't even married to this book i was good with the changes i was all on board!!#but this is just less good it is a weaker scene and weaker storytelling ahh whhhyyy#(this has been a tangent on finally finishing daisy jones)#(the karen x graham storyline was so much stronger in the book and would have translated cinematically so easilyyyyy whyyy)
