Sitting on the kitchen counter, You watch Bob prepare lunch for the both of you, you're idly swinging your legs from your position atop one of the counters next to him, chomping on a slice of apple that he gave to you, swinging your legs a little harder, your heels hitting the wood of the cupboard below you. Bobby stops what he's doing and waits for a moment, giving you time to stop your actions yourself, when you don't, he resumes his preparation, chopping up vegetables, not looking at you as he speaks

“No more of that please, sweetheart.” He hums, but his request falls on deaf ears as you continue striking the cupboard door with your feet. Bobby glances up at you, feeling his patience beginning to wear now that he knows you're outright disobeying a simple ask.

“Darling. Stop.” He uses a clear, slow voice, waiting for you to finally listen and behave.

You look up at him with big, innocent eyes, your feet slowly coming to a stop, wiggling them up and down instead of hitting the door. You huff to yourself quietly, feeling that familiar prick of mischief come over you, watching him carefully to see how much you think you could get away with, you wait for him to turn around and focus on cooking before swinging your feet back to bang the door once more. But instead of a telling off or raised voice, this time you're met with a stern stare and a firm tap to the side of your thigh, strong enough to startle you but not hurt, leaving a warming sting on the affected skin for a few seconds.

“Get down and out of the kitchen, go to your room and stay in there until I call you” He uses a flat and uncompromising tone, an irritated expression on his face. But even despite his annoyance, he still helps you off the counter, swiftly and gently bringing you to your feet and guiding you to the doorway. Watching you leave to ensure you went up the stairs and not to the living room to watch tv. And although you whine and grumble quietly, you know better than to go against his words now, especially with a tone as final as that.

day thirty something thinking about the fact that apparently lou negotiated to take the first kissing scene from full on make out to something gentle since it's more in character for how he plays tommy

because lou finds tommy gentle and considerate because tommy never got to have that applied to himself 

because lou wants tommy to adore buck how buck deserves to be adored and not have lust steer the direction bucktommy are going together

because even lou knows tommy was seeking for permanence and while he was super into buck he was never going to push buck into anything he wasn't ready for

because tommy is the reliable and steady one, the one who knows you can't built anything long lasting on a whim or uncertainty or dishonesty

and when buck is honest about not knowing what he wants but wanting whatever it is with tommy, tommy says yes

because buck is gentle with him back, buck is considerate and seeking for permanence, too

Give me a two episode disaster arc where Tommy and Bobby are stuck somewhere awaiting rescue, tbh.

Give me Tommy with a big ole bump on his noggin and Bobby trying to keep him awake. Tommy admitting he's pissed at Bobby because he left his family and they got Gerrard out of it and he can feel that casually cruel attitude creeping back under his skin every time he hears a story about the shit Gerrard puts the team through. Tommy telling Bobby that when he pulled him into the office that day and silently slid the recertification paperwork for piloting across the desk, something had rattled loose in Tommy and he'd realized that the better person he was trying to to be wasn't going to be the best version of himself until he made a change and stopped letting the ghosts of his father and his superior officers and his captain haunt him.

Tommy reminding him that Bobby means the world to the 118, that they'd flown into a hurricane to find and save him, that for all that Tommy hadn't worked with him for long he'd always had Tommy's respect, but now Tommy is grateful for him, because Buck and Eddie and Chim and Hen have had him. Because he'd fostered a group that has pulled him into their ranks without question.

Give me Bobby panicking a bit when Tommy loses consciousness, because he's pinned and too far away to actually wake Tommy back up. Give me Bobby talking to him anyway, admitting that he's scared, that he's pretty sure his team has grown past him, that he's not needed anymore and he doesn't know where to go from there. He'd thrown out his book and thrown in with his team and now he's not sure what his purpose is when they don't need him anymore.

Give me Bobby getting frustrated and ANNOYED and yelling at Tommy to wake the fuck up and help him get them both the hell out of there.

Give me just the slightest hint of Bobby saying some Out Of Pocket Shit about how gone on Tommy Buck is and only finding out a week later that Tommy had heard that bit.

Gimme Buck on the outside, worried as shit but solid because it's Bobby and Tommy, and they've got each other, Buck knows it.
