I've been making cave terrain with my new best friend Fiber Paste

I can't believe these are finally done! Took forever lmaoo

Some of the stalagmites are just scrap polymer clay I mushed up and painted and they match fine enough I think. I used various foams for the rest- the flat ones are cheapo craft foam i glued together in layers and the chunky ones are packing foam I chopped up and stabbed skewers into.

I coated everything in (white) gessopodge then added the fiber paste- gives them a stone texture and fills in all the holes, and I could also make little peaks in it for some extra stalagmites.

After it dried I primed them in black and did the basic dry brushing.

The hardest thing was definitely the cave pools cus I kept trying other mediums and fucking it up, but in the end I bit the bullet and bought some casting resin. (Used that on my swamp too)

Will probly make some scans of the DM screen I'm working on (painting in the background) as soon as I get some hinges for it

A miniature from the board game Monster Hunter (Wildspire Wasteland version) which is based on the video game.

This is a barroth which I have painted with the colour scheme a clicker from the Last of Us in mind, for potential future use in a D&D campaign set in Chult (which is known for zombies, dinosaurs, and zombie dinosaurs).

This version is definitely much more colourful that it traditionally is, but probably still enjoys ant as they are a formidable snack (see what I did there? Like formic acid from ants? No? Yeah that’s fair).

Anyways, I’m pretty happy with it

Sea Base

While waiting for paint to dry and to embark on my next painting exhibition, I give you: Sea Bases!

Lovely little bases they are. Rather than get annoyed with myself because I put a ton of work into a miniature and am delayed by the base not being ready, I learned from my previous annoyances and painted the bases first. They were also fun to paint.

I attempted to duplicate the water effect I made on the siren from a few weeks ago but then decided to scuff it up instead of leaving it smooth. Tiny little drops of color made these fun to paint.

On to the elves!

So i've also been working on Khârn the Betrayer recently, gotta say this has been so incredibly fun to paint and i'm so happy with how this turned out :D

Hopefully i can get the World Eaters combat patrol for Christmas, that way i can get more Berzerkers, some Jakhals, and Lord Invocatus too :P

The first of my clutch of big angry lizards is finished with a young Hydra. This one is an Etsy resin print, and it is the closest design I could find that resembled the enormous metal one that Crocodile Games offers. I've had so much fun painting plastic and resin miniatures the past few years it feels very strange and clunky to work with metal miniatures.

Painted one of the most terrifying creatures you can run into in D&D, a Marut!! Idk what possessed me to paint each of the dots... It was agonizing, but I'm super happy with how it turned out!

We luckily didn't run into ones that were at full strength (which surely would have led to a TPK), but this was the first time (that I'm aware of) where our DM actually had something planned for a party wipe. Glad it didn't happen of course... but I wish I knew how it would have played out!

Here’s another Chaos Dwarf from Checkpoint Miniatures. I picture this guy as a ranger and guide, leading people across Moor and Fen and into the deepest woodlands.

Wheelchair Wizard painted up and sealed for a friend who wants to use it in her game. I saw this figure in a pack and just had to paint it! She's been mostly done for too long while I was planning a narrative plinth for her, but Friend asked after her for tabletop so I finished her up with a simple base instead.

Finished the lava terrain for the light box

Getting good pictures of the box when it's on is hard, but it slaps in person.

Glued craftfoam to mylar and coated it with colored crackle paste (my enemy) and dry brushed. Lava is soft gel gloss mixed with a little red and yellow

Crackle paste sucks fr lmaoo maybe it's just Golden brand but I can't get it to work for the life of me. You can see the cracks up close in person but they're too fine 😵 maybe I'll try another brand next time

Welcome the paladin of Torm.

He's a silver dragonborn, but by the time I realized that the "silver" that came in my original Army Painter’s Speedpaints set didn't feel light enough and grey enough to feel like silver, I didn't feel like redoing it, so he looks kind of evil. I've since bought some other metallic paints, but it was too late for this one by then.

The figurine is from the Blacklist Miniatures: Fantasy Series 1 kickstarter.
