check this bullshit out lmao
You guys are bringing me like rotten food, like im a baby vulture or something.
I love how India is not forcibly occupying Kashmir bc its perfectly normal to switch off the internet for years and arrest all democratically elected leaders and dissolve parliament when you're not an ovcupying force. I've never seen anyone claim Hinduism is responsible for the rise of Nazism, only point to how much Savarkar admired Hitler and Mussolini and its a pity that Jewish folk are seeing solidarity with a Hindutva movement that is fundamentally unconcerned about that. Do they know the RSS apes Nazi salutes and aesthetics?
I do love the Brahmins don't have any institutional power line and the upper caste/lower caste division is made up by white people stuff, bc it is the most blatant way to be sure this person has no real familiarity with Indian culture or history outside of like propaganda, because like, all Hindu texts enshrine the moral, legal and cultural superiority of Brahminism. Why does Eklavya the archer have this thumb cut off for daring to study archery in the Mahabharata? What does it mean that lower caste children cannot drink or eat at the same tables as upper caste children even in India's best universities exactly? Anti semitism has real roots in the history of Western civilization, from ghettos to the holocaust, permitting its association with the made up logic of Hinduphobia – which doesn't exist in India and outside of India is just plain racism is terrible. Upper caste supremacy is the bread and butter and organizing principle of Indian society for centuries, Hindutva politics dominates every single cultural sphere in India.
I also like that the Israel/Palestine is cast into India/Pakistan despite the fact Pakistan is a soverign nuclear armed state that is rapidly destabilizing at the moment due to US influence that India has very little to do with it. Most Pakistanis are also unaffected by India, in that India does not actually occupy Pakistan and enforce apartheid on its citizens despite right wing fantasies. Pakistan and India gets in standoffs with each other! The most significant amount of Kashmiri organising is for Azad Kashmir. Pakistan occupied Kashmir deserves to be free too.

I might piss off the Academy X crowd with this one, but what exactly did they see in the character of Surge? I just don’t see the character’s appeal, especially considering how blatantly racist & Islamophobic she was towards her fellow teammate/roommate Dust in the series’ opening arc…
Also, can I just say that even without having read this series myself, I’ve personally always HATED the official title of the book, “New X-Men,” and instead just refer to it as “Academy X” since I personally associate New X-Men with Grant Morrison’s classic run. Seriously, Marvel needs to buy a FREAKING thesaurus for the titles of their books!
From New X-Men: Academy X (2004) #2 by Nunzio DeFilippis, Christina Weir & Randy Green.

If you use what is going on in Palestine right now as an excuse to be actually antisemetic in any way, you're a bad person.
You're awful. This is not up for debate.
Blasting Kanye, like he'd give a shit about Palestinians, is not pro-palastine. You're just being antisemetic because you know he is. No trolls/clowns allowed. These are human lives here and there are more being lost by the day.
White supremacists are not allowed in any propalastine spaces. Eat shit, Andrew Tate.
I'm very sorry to anyone for using their community specific tags. I'll retag if you pm me, but I won't take this post down.

Alright fuck it, I'm going to ignore good advice and make the post:
MW3 predictions
Either Soap or Ghost is confirmed queer in the form of an offscreen male romantic parter, either current or in the past, and the topic is never brought up again (a la Laswell's wife).
After the above, the chemistry between them is turned down a whole lot in a way that feels really awkward OR there is a love confession immediately before death a la Cas and super hell.
Gaz dies first (either alone or with another member of the 141) and this sparks Price going berserk and doing the most insane and immoral shit imaginable. This either gets him killed, get other people killed, or both.
Roach is back and they give him a bunch of talking lines, removing any hope of a canon non-verbal character.
If Farah and Alex are back and seen together, they either make any chemistry between them nil or somehow work into the plot that Farah isnt/is no longer Muslim (I hate this idea but it's what I think they'd do if they put them in a relationship).
Laswell's wife is literally never mentioned again.
The summary of the plot is the Russians did it and the United States has done nothing wrong ever in its life (except this one American guy but he was brainwashed or otherwise convinced by the Russians).
The Ghoap dynamic will be heavily played up in advertising including how the actors talk about it only for it to be 0.2% gay and way less obvious about anything going on between Ghost and Soap than in MW2. We will very likely be queerbaited I'm calling it right now.
All of the above is false and I will not be dodgeballed by Apollo. Please I'm begging let everyone be happy and queer or we will throw a fit and boycott the game istfg Activision.
This is all based on how I think Blizz Activision will handle its new COD fan base which comes from experience as a long time Blizz games fan (OW fandom started in 2016 or so then switched to WoW a few years later. I've been here a while.)
I would really love to be wrong, but on the occasion that I'm not a) yall will need someone to blame and im okay being that person and b) I wanna be able to say "I told you so" because I'm petty like that lmao
#current affirmation as I offer wine and incense to Apollo: these are false prophesies#these things will not come to pass and we will not be harmed#our love for this game will not be abused for profit and we will not be made to suffer for our love#we will be given something good at the end of all of this even if it is bittersweet and we will not be thrown half baked unhappy tropes#i will it so so may it be#yall dont yndetstand that this is both a joke and totally not a joke and yes im actually praying#maybe if i call myself a prophet or oracle Apollo will prove me wrong just to spite me#and then well all be happy#faes pew pew boys#also just loosely#cw: Islamophobia#oh also to Alex and Emp... im sorry for not taking your advice and not posting it#im defense im tired and was left unsupervised 😂

ce: Politics
So, my first bout of political artwork(s) are taking a little while as I strike -kind of involuntarily mind you since I don't have work to strike from- but still. They're Pro-Palestine pieces.
When we're talking about something as important as the value of human lives being lost by the thousands in an act of genocide, I start to choke up. I'm intensely afraid of saying anything that could be misconstrude as wrong or do more harm than good and I'll be real I think that stupid fear has been keeping me from talking at all, which I know now is the real important thing. I know I won't loose any friends or job opportunities for saying my peace. It's just so terrifying. Children are literally being murdered and families WIPED OUT and my government doesn't care one bit, or is even approving. What an awful, evil time to be alive.
Well, just wanted to give you a fair warning as I know my blog doesn't veer towards politics all that much/if at all, but Palestine art is coming and hopefully really soon. Besides the continued thoughts under the 'keep reading', I will also be eventually asking for help on what brands to buy after the strike/where to buy second-hand materials. I'm a slow learner and money is tight and can't afford trial and error for tech. I ought to start now.
This is a question to the Jewish people reading this, what do I say to avoid attracting antisemitic microaggressions in my activism? Yes, this is about Palestine, but a) there are Jewish Palestinians, and b) assuming all Jewish people are inherent zionists is wrong.
Though I've experienced far less of the latter directly, I have been seeing a disturbing amount of neonazi altlight kids trying to chime on pro-Palestine discussions (like I even have to say WHY they're actually critical of Israel?) and not as many people noticing them when they ought to be, or at least not until it's too late. I've been seeing less tactful activists commending people like Andrew Tate for saying Palestine is colonized. Because, you know, Andrew Tate the human traffiker and racist chud TOTALLY cares for the Palestinians and doesn't have alternative motives for criticizing Israel. And that's not all. I legit saw someone quoting Bin Laden in regards to decolonization.
Like there aren't a million people - indigenous peoples, Muslims, Christine Quintasket, Nelson Mandela, @decolonize-the-left, Redbone, Seth Rogan even, Susan Sarandan, Jenna Ortega, and you know, Palestinian folks you could ACTUALLY be quoting? I'm sorry to get on my high horse about this- but it strikes me as deeply Islamophobic that that's either the only Muslim person you can come up with, and/or that your attributing innocent people being slaughtered with Bin Laden.
So yeah, I'd really just like to know what things to say and not to say or get a good idea of it anyway as I do this. I'm exhausted...not that it's any where near as close others right now.

Where can I find Free Palestine protests and Ceasefire protests?
A super international and continually updated list of actions can be found at Samidoun: Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network's:
Calendar of Resistance for Palestine 2024
They list events by date, then alphabetically by country, then by city - and it's common for them to have dozens of actions listed for a single date, especially on the weekends.
The United States especially often has 40+ events on a single day, especially on the weekends.
Events are posted with links to the event info posted by whoever's hosting the vast majority of the time.
Look blow the read-more for a list of many of the countries that have been on this protest calendar, in alphabetical order, since I know so many websites/lists of actions are country-specific
*Obviously this isn't the only good source of listings for protest events - there are many others. This is by far the biggest/most international roundup I've found, though, so I started with this. If you know another good place for finding ceasefire protests/events, please feel free to add it in the notes, bc I'm planning to put a bigger roundup together once I find enough other sites
Countries that Samidoun has listed/does list protests for include (in alphabetical order):
North America:
United States
Canada
Mexico
Puerto Rico (listed separately in anti-colonial solidarity)
Hawai'i (listed separately in anti-colonial solidarity)
Europe:
Austria
Belgium
Bulgaria
Denmark
England
Finland
France
Germany
Greece
Hungary
Iceland
Ireland
Italy
Netherlands
Norway
Portugal
Romania
Scotland
Serbia
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland
Wales
SWANA Region (Southwest Asia/North Africa)*:
Bahrain
Iraq
Jordan
Kuwait
Lebanon
Palestine
Tunisia
Turkiye (Turkey)
*Samidoun notes that "We know that these events are mainly international and that the Arab people are marching everywhere for Palestine – we will be honored to add more Arab events whenever we are informed!"
Asia:
Bangladesh
India
Indonesia
Japan
Malaysia
Maldives
Pakistan
South Korea
Africa:
Kenya
Mauritius
Nigeria
South Africa
Tanzania
Tunisia
*Duplicating North African countries (well, Tunisia) here from the SWANA list btw
South America:
Brazil
Colombia
Chile
Peru
Venezuela
Australia and Oceania:
Aotearoa (New Zealand)
Australia
#reminder that “palestine” and “cw war” are the tags for all of my posts related to palestine#and that I only post relatively positive news about progress toward peace and resistance actions and the like#btw do NOT mess around in the notes with islamophobia OR antisemitism#neither are even remotely acceptable#palestine#cw war#free palestine#free gaza#israel#middle east#gaza#palestinian genocide#genocide#cw genocide#nakba#second nakba#ceasefire#palestine genocide#ceasefire now#palestine protest#gaza protests#gaza strip#gaza genocide#war crimes#ethnic cleansing#colonialism#anti zionisim

if you're subscribed to the washington post, it's time to cancel your subscription
as if their coverage of the genocide in gaza wasn't bad enough, this is now the kind of vile racist shit they're apparently okay with publishing in their editorial cartoons
and if you're unfamiliar with the artist, michael ramirez, here are some of the cartoons he's made for other publications:
(putting them under a read more because there are so many of them and they're all disgustingly racist and/or islamophobic)
#free palestine#israel#gaza#racism cw#islamophobia cw#there's a ton more cartoons i could add#this guy is vile even for a political cartoonist#and the fact that WaPo is willing to publish this guy? and now????#just as the number hit 10 000 dead civilians - 4000 of them children - this is the guy they chose to ''satirize'' the ongoing genocide#i already hate the WaPo (see: their coverage of any global conflict ever) but this is low even for them

Reblog to eradicate sanatan dharma faster. It is a casteist and misogynist vision of hinduism steeped in chauvinist lies.
Would you also have the same issue if the masjid was built instead of the mandir? then I agree with it otherwise not
Yes, if I lived in a Muslim majority country and masjid was being built and communal hatred was being incited against the country's minorities in the name of said building, I'd be saying the same thing. OBVIOUSLY. If something is wrong, it's wrong. Unlike some people, my stance on human rights doesn't change because they happen to belong to a different label.
On a different note, why are people always doing this strange what-aboutery? Do they think the situation changes just because you change the arbitrary labels? Or do people want a "gotcha!" moment for me?

"Former President Donald Trump vowed to reinstate his travel ban that barred people from some predominantly Muslim countries and expand it to prevent refugees from war-torn Gaza from entering the U.S.
“I will ban refugee resettlement from terror infested areas like the Gaza Strip, and we will seal our border and bring back the travel ban,” Trump said Thursday evening in Washington at an event alongside Republican donor and billionaire Miriam Adelson.
“Remember the famous travel ban? We didn’t take people from certain areas of the world,” Trump added “We’re not taking them from infested countries.”
Trump initially put in place a version of his travel ban—one of the signature measures of his presidency—a week after taking office, triggering chaos at airports and sparking protests. Judges blocked the initial ban but changes to the policy eventually led to it being upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court, which rejected claims that it targeted Muslims."

it feels so insane to have to say this but islamophobia is a racist belief that does not protect you in any way. islamophobia has only the capability to perpetuate violence. you sacrifice your own humanity in the act of dehumanizing others. palestinians deserve freedom from state violence and liberation from this decades-long occupation, palestinians deserve resistance, palestinians deserve to worship and to dream and to live and live in peace. no amount of duplicitous fearmongering can change the truth of that

The Vulgate Cycle (13th century) contains the funniest piece of bigotry I've ever read, in which the author reveals that he apparently believes that the pre-Christian inhabitants of Britain were all Muslims, and worship Jupiter, Apollo, and a completely made up god ("Tervagant").
"Muslims worship Mohammad so we killed or converted them all" is grade school, yawn/fuck off. Seemingly believing that "pagan" and "Saracen" are not two different words is so wrong it's hilarious.

Thes racist far right cunts are fucking setting hotels on fire and attacking people and a mob of these shitstains set up fucking race verification for people driving on a certain road, asking drivers if they are white or british. Mosques are being attacked and no area is fucking safe because even if your area hasnt got a group of neonazis gathering this weekend, the inevitable rise in racist, Islamophobic hate crimes might, with the widespread acts of blatant hatred and racism of this weekend inspiring some fuckers to act out their racist and violent fantasy's.
Hell I wrote this then stepped away to look more stuff up and those more individual hate crimes are already happening, people getting dragged of busses and dragged out of cars and stabbed. Don't let anyone make you think the blame for this doesn't lie on the government's militant anti immigration stances, and their Racism and Islamophobia, as well as on the press and news media that perpetuates the same bigoted bullshite. Social media is absolutely a factor but don't let the entire blame be put on it and ignore the racism in the government and mainstream news. Not to mention reports of police threatening & assaulting counter protesters and waving to fascists they know.
My heart goes out to the immigrant, black and Muslim communities and people that are the focus of this vile hatred and violence, as well as those people who are isolated from their communities in the countryside. Noone should ever have to go this and yet our government and news are hellbent on fanning the flames of hatred that lead to awful events like this
The far right racist and xenophobic riots [im not fucking calling them protests] that have been happening here across the uk are fucking disgusting. Some small good measures are being put in place [extra security for Mosques] but the fact that this country is so deeply racist needs to be fucking adressed and dealt with. the far right protesters are already being arrested and tried, however I wonder how many counter protesters will also be dragged into the court rooms with the aim of 'fairness' despite in several cases being there to protect the hotels and communities first, and having to be human barriers before the cops eventually show up
#It's really good to see the counter protests#But it's just so awful#Not to mention how widespread#I don't think the 2011 ones were as all across the uk as this#I've been on holiday and not keeping up with the news#My mums phoning up her students and ex students rn#We don't think anything large has happened in our area but this will absolutely embolden racists to carry out hate crimes in their local#Community's#cw: racism#cw: islamophobia#cw: fascists

Richard Dawkins' meltdown in the early 2010s was so prophetic for what would happen to *gestures at every old British celebrity* in the past few years. Within just a few years he went from quietly respected to giving interviews where he ranks which types of rape are the worst, calling a Muslim teen wrongfully arrested for playing with a clock a "ISIS child soldier", and repeatedly trying to shut down feminists by using Muslim women as a blunt object to say they don't have it so bad so stop complaining, all while doing a lot of "I don't believe [bad thing], I'm just asking questions, y'know" on the side
Confirming all that I learned that he promoted a conference run by evangelical Christian Nationalists in 2019 since, while he "didn't support their religious beliefs", he did support their speaker's rants about "post-modernism", which. That checks out tbh
