Steve isn’t prepared for how happy Billy is when he finally moves out of Cherry Lane.

Oh there are dark days. Days when the clouds have no lining, silver or otherwise. But there’s joy too, breathless joy.

Billy buys a new earring, giggling like a kid when he puts it on in the mirror. They make breakfast for dinner and he grins like a loon, eating with his mouth full and grossing Steve out. Billy laughs in bed, doesn’t take it all so serious anymore.

Billy reads comic books, it turns out. Or he always would have, if it wasn’t for babies. Steve finds him arguing with Dustin over the counter at the family video, throwing around words like power fantasy and Magneto, like he was born to be a nerd.

Billy grabs happiness with two hands, and it makes Steve want a little more of that joy in his own life. He starts running out to the ice cream truck. He kisses Billy sticky sweet by the pool, where he swims for the first time since that horrible night. Billy being happy makes him happier, makes him want happiness more.

“I love you, Blue,” He whispers at night when Billy finally uncurls from his tight spiral and sleeps starfish-style on their bed.

“Love you too, Bambi,” Billy grumbles. “Make me so fuckin’ happy.”

It’s been some time and Dustin and Steve go to see Wayne. Maybe he is moving out of Hawkins and they go to help with packing or maybe they just wanna check on him and he is reminiscing Eddie. Either way he has punch of old photos out. School photos, birthdays, first concerts, various different types from different ages.

One photo really catches Steve’s eye tho. It’s a group photo from the early 70s, taken in the summer. Steve asks Wayne “Why do you have this?”, seemingly little shocked and bewildered by the photo. Wayne looks at the photo and smiles telling it was taken in a summer camp Eddie once went. “That’s my boy” Wayne tells pointing one kid among the others. Dustin also looks at the photo and smiles. It seems like a good and happy memory.

So Wayne and Dustin get little puzzled when they hear choked sob coming from Steve. He is trying to hold it together but not really succeeding, his hands in his hair pulling so hard it can’t be comfortable. Just walking away from them now, fighting the tears. Rather weird and strong reaction for a mere summer camp photo, especially coming from Steve… Till you take a little closer look at the photo.

Because yes, with his buzz cut hair and thousand watt smile there’s little Eddie. Little Eddie who has his arm over another kid’s shoulder, pulling closer a little boy with a sweet smile, chestnut hair and tiny moles dotted on his face.

Anyways here it is!!! It's been a year!!! What the fuck!!! A very cool year, made a lots of friends and moots, went crazy over a couple crossovers dragging a few specific people with me down... and got really good at my art yippie yaay!!

I can feel the impending dread of everything that will come in 2025 so I shall enjoy this while it lasts <3

Sneezed so hard i broke a blood vessel in my eye and then i looked over and saw (maybe) a roach (small) on the wall i think todays the day i try taking wellbutrin again

#i was on it as a teen and it was fine. i tried it again over the summer and my blood pressure elevated after like a week…?#ended up in the er. they didnt see anything wrong so i just assumed it was the wellbutrin #its gotten a little better cuz i got more careful with sodium but well its still high. so. wellbutrin probably didnt cause it #still gonna… start with a quarter pill… because im crazy…#i have bp meds to counteract if it goes up. but it was probably Just me.#the kat goes meow

If it's a rebrand, it's pretty scummy especially with the massive merch sale (and the two IG stories of them just bing chilling?? but it's good to know that they're still friends and that it's not health related). If it's leaving for good, it's weird that they've privated almost all their videos but understsandable if they've burnt out. Either way, it's been sad and disappointing, but thank you for all the belly laughs and knowledge for the past... 7 years for me, apparently! Sheesh

I'm repping Team Theme Park in the Summer Nights Splatfest and often when I think of theme parks I'm reminded of when I used to visit Six Flags during Spring Break or summer vacation

As such I decided to draw some art of Marvin in a neon Six Flags inspired outfit based on my Splatfest team

I haven't touched life after in like 2 weeks but also in that time I've finished a 20pg comic for summer of lawlu so also I think I'm gonna stop being precious with life after and doing quicker pages cuz I did 31 pages of it in 2 months being precious which is.......so much longer than this comic took me lmao
