look at that brilliant hammock! (though i have been informed it was likely not made by this individual spider)

it’s hard to see but it has the most gorgeous orange chelicerae 🍊

there was another huge nest nearby. didn’t see who lived there though. i think this is the best discovery i’ve had down there to date

you said prompts and so I just emerge from the depths to howl about a concept that is So Important: my beautiful malewife steve harrington finally receiving the constancy and domestic comfort of a romantic relationship!!!! idk how properly to explain it? I guess the sure footing of two people who know and love one another like students, we’ll acquainted with their field of study but constantly learning nonetheless? idk for some reason the scenario that pops to mind to encapsulate it is thus:

Robin coming crashing into the apartment she and Steve share in Chicago and there’s steve sitting at the kitchen table with righteous bedhead. he’s blearily munching on some toast in just a pair of boxers and she immediately launches into the tale of her latest Gay Situationship Crisis. and reader walks in in one of his tee shirts and a pair of panties, waving to Robin who manages an “oh hey gmorning” through the middle of her monologue. reader knows where the coffee is and knows that Steve is useless until he has a cup (and that he NEVER makes coffee when anyone else is around; she thinks he likes the reminder that he doesn’t wake up alone in the house), so she goes about getting the water boiling while Steve “hms” his way through robins story. like just him scooting back and patting a thigh when she has two mugs in hand, her settling into his lap and having him wrap his forearm around her waist. and they’re this placid unit, listening intently and quietly communicating to one another through nonverbal cues while they accompany Robin through the hurricane of her emotions; the eye of the storm.

half an hour later, when Robin has successfully decided on next steps (she really just needed an audience) and banged back out the door to profess her undying like or whatever, reader turning around to Steve and mumbling “gmorning baby” and giving him a little kiss before she heads off to wash her face. and Steve is left in the kitchen with his mug and this curling, glowing warmth of knowing that he had this every single morning, and more of it to spare throughout the day.

ROMANTIC CONSTANCY MAN!!!! GENTLE, DOMESTIC INTIMACY SHOWERED LOVINGLY UPON STEVE’S SHOULDERS!!!! it makes me FERAL🫠
