Two of the most famous gay couples in Chinese history are also the sources of some of the most recognizable queer symbols in China: the bitten peach and the torn sleeve. Stories that are partially legend, partially based in some reality, have expanded beyond what anyone could have imagined and shifted from a romanticized look at a homosexual romance to a term to be clung to as a historical hook from past to present; a reminder that there is a precedent for the kind of queer love that continues in contemporary China, despite attempts to stamp it out.

Since you're so attached covering yourself, is there any moments where you can't leave with out it? Or like stuck somewhere, being snagged/trapped in a thornbush?
"Yeah.... longe cloths can get trapped very often." 😮💨
"But I improvise. I can survive shedding a few inches. Clothing can be just be stiched back togeather once I return home." :]

Duanxiu pian
The Cut Sleeve.
Original Language: Chinese
Original Title: Duanxiu pian
Edited by Giovanni Vitiello
"The Cut Sleeve" is an anthology of fifty-one male homoerotic tales which was probably compiled during the second half of the last century. We know nothing about its compiler except for his pseudonym: Ameng of Wu. The collection includes literary and historical sources that span two thousand years, from pre-imperial times.
The title is drawn from this episode in the life of the first-century AD favorite Dong Xian.
«Once he rested - it was day - and he lay on his side, on the sleeve of the sovereign's robe. The emperor wanted to get up, but Xian hadn't woken up yet. Not wanting to wake him, the emperor cut off his sleeve, and then stood up: his love for him reached such a point!".»

honestly I think a really significant milestone in transing your gender is the point where you go ham and start cutting the sleeves off your t-shirts
