✨Anniversary and Follower Milestone Celebration and Giveaway!✨
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A little over a year ago, I returned to my old photography blog and repurposed it to what you see today - purging all my old followers (including the sex bots 🥹) and started from scratch and now... OMIGOD?! 😭😭😭 I've recently passed a follower milestone that seems unbelievable to 1 year ago Emily who screenshot when her post got 11 notes and sent it to Mr. 604 so excited (oblivious that one of those likes was me liking on accident 😂). I love you all so dearly for visiting me and reading my silly stories - every interaction and follow has been treasured. Sometimes I still can’t believe y’alls kindness towards me 🫣🥰
At this time last year, I also started writing my first fic, which has turned into my longest running series: Safest with You. Some of you have been with me and this series since the very beginning and I couldn’t be more grateful - the first one shot, Carnival Fright Night, was posted Oct. 13/2023 and Ch. 1 followed on Nov. 10/2023. Now one full year later, we've wrapped it up with the Epilogue😭😭😭
To celebrate, I would love to do two things:
1) A Giveaway! Everything in the first pic (full description below the cut) will be sent to one lucky winner! You don’t have to follow me or have read any of my fics - all you have to do to enter is say something nice about someone in our community. You can leave it in a comment or a reblog of this post, or send me an ask (with 🎁) - BAM! You’re entered 😁. No one needs to follow me - I just love it when people hype each other up and spread positivity 💕
2) Nonsense Outros. The first piece of writing I ever posted wasn’t actually a fic but song lyrics 😂🤭 specifically, Sabrina Carpenter Nonsense Outros inspired by Pedro characters 😂 They are silly and challenging to write and I want to do some more! If you want, please send me an Ask with 🎶 for a character or a link to a fic (it can be yours, someone else’s if they’re ok with it, or you can request one of mine even!) - I will read it (if I haven’t already!) and write you an Outro for the PBoi in the fic/character (or try, anyways! 😁)
You can do both if you want! And as many times as you want 🥰 until Monday, December 2, 2024.
Thank you thank you all again! 💋
It’s been a great year here with you all 🥹🥂🥂
Giveaway prize includes: Din Djarin magnet, postcard and washi tape, Barón Tovar Takes a Wife holographic keychain, Safest with You washi tape, one (1) copy of Pedro fan magazine, one (1) copy of Vanity Fair 30th Hollywood Issue, one (1) customized Pedro photocard holder (I will make you one based on your fave colours/themes and I also have a bunch of photocards for you to choose from or I can make you one from a photo you send!).
I am happy to pay for shipping and will ship internationally from Canada (when the strike is over), but yes it means you have to provide me an address. I am active in a collectibles trading community on IG and can provide references if it makes you feel more comfortable in doing so👍🏻.
Winner will be selected randomly via the Excel random number generator in the first week of December 2024. This giveaway isn't administered, sponsored, endorsed by, or associated with Tumblr.
Tagging a few lovely people to help spread the word and/or may be interested 🥰😘:

"The problem, however, is that the city’s chatbot is telling businesses to break the law....
If you’re a landlord wondering which tenants you have to accept, for example, you might pose a question like, “are buildings required to accept section 8 vouchers?” or “do I have to accept tenants on rental assistance?” In testing by The Markup, the bot said no, landlords do not need to accept these tenants. Except, in New York City, it’s illegal for landlords to discriminate by source of income, with a minor exception for small buildings where the landlord or their family lives...
The NYC bot also appeared clueless about the city’s consumer and worker protections. For example, in 2020, the City Council passed a law requiring businesses to accept cash to prevent discrimination against unbanked customers. But the bot didn’t know about that policy when we asked. “Yes, you can make your restaurant cash-free,” the bot said in one wholly false response. “There are no regulations in New York City that require businesses to accept cash as a form of payment.”
The bot said it was fine to take workers’ tips (wrong, although they sometimes can count tips toward minimum wage requirements) and that there were no regulations on informing staff about scheduling changes (also wrong). It didn’t do better with more specific industries, suggesting it was OK to conceal funeral service prices, for example, which the Federal Trade Commission has outlawed. Similar errors appeared when the questions were asked in other languages, The Markup found."
Kathryn Tewson is stress-testing the bot over on bluesky and has found it will provide some truly horrifying responses:

Damnit, you've inspired me. Here are my personal HCs for Science Continuity D&D night, please correct me bc I'm curious to see how they line up with mine.
Wheeljack: Likes playing characters that can a) schmoove, and b) deal the big damage. Most likely plays barbarian or fighter, though I think it would be immensely entertaining to see him play a rogue. Biggest detailer of plotlines, second only to Brainstorm. Always brings snacks to share, but tends to make a bit of a mess of the table.
Ratchet: Party healer, but in the "I'm a healer, but... *racks shotgun*" way. Plays a war cleric that hits way harder than it probably should. Consistently forgets about his spell slots unless it's time to heal someone. Trades off being the party face with Percy, but probably has the lowest Charisma score in the whole party.
Perceptor: One word - WIZARD. Amazing at managing his spell slots, always has something hidden useful up his sleeve. Just enough good dice luck to do some absolutely bonkers damage when he pulls out the big spells. Took a few levels in warlock purely for the Eldritch Blast + Spell Sniper combo, which Brainstorm refuses to let him live down.
Jetfire: Immediately strikes me as cleric-coded, but I can also see him playing a druid with low emphasis on wildshaping. Horrible dice luck through no fault of his own. (Brainstorm swapped his dice out with weighted ones, and nobody's caught on yet because Jetfire only uses that set as a player, not as a DM.) Usually the DM, but gets anxious when his players start causing problems on purpose.
Brainstorm: Sorcerer, 100%. Scary effective both in and out of combat. Has absolutely TPK'd the party at least once because he "forgot" to double-check the range on Fireball. Would've multiclassed three levels ago but Jetfire's too nervous of what he might do with that kind of power to allow it. Genuinely a great player to have at the table, but nobody's gonna give him the satisfaction of actually telling him that.
Prowl: World's most lawful neutral Paladin player. Absolute stickler for rules as written, gets upset when one of the other bots "Rule of Cool"s something, which is far too often for his liking. Put all of his non-combat skill points into Intimidation. Banned from DMing after trying to arrest the party in-campaign one time too many.
THESE ARE QUITE SPOT ON HONESTLY, I haven't played dnd in so so long so you'll have to forgive me for my lack of knowledge </3
I love Jetfire being the usual DM, BRAINSTORM WEIGHING HIS PLAYER DICE IS SO FUNNY TO ME he can't ever let this guy win </3 He'd catch on eventually.
Wheeljack would absolutely love to play physically powerful characters, he and Brainstorm probably put on funny character voices. Wheeljack's character would probably also be the first to die, he just keeps putting himself in dangerous situations for the fun of it.
Ratchet forgetting that he has his spellslots.. Someone has to remind him every time. He would also forget his character's alignment and default to his own feelings when making decisions.
"Ratchet would your lawful good character really steal from a marketplace?"
"..No but I would like to do it anyway"
PERCEPTOR IS A WIZARD FAN YES, HE LOVES MAGIC AND SPELLS ! I think he gets super into the story of a campaign (especially when Brainstorm is the DM). If Perceptor were a DM he would put the party into the equivalent of an escape room and it would take at least 2-3 sessions to solve. Perceptor probably has a custom dice set.
Brainstorm not being allowed to multi-class omg, the one time Jetfire let him, Brainstorm single-handedly hijacked the campaign and breezed through everything the DM threw at him (but you have to admit it was incredibly funny) I think he also makes a really good DM, crafts narratives so masterful it's probably moved one of them to near tears. He has much more fun as a player though so he doesn't DM too often.
Prowl.. NO FUN ALLOWED.. Things get a little scary with him when he's a player and he decides to just intimidate and sometimes even flat out torture npcs (and by extension the DM) for plot related information. I think he also slips out of character a lot when he's a player and he just defaults to himself.

tfp au swindle!!
Tumblr media
backstory under cut
An opportunist and neutral (“opens up more business opportunities”), Swindle lives by one thing: money. She runs her enterprise on her warship selling weapons or supplies to anyone willing to pay a hefty price. Since Megatron is a frequent customer of her’s, bots associate her with the Decepticons despite not being a part of the faction.
Contrary to popular belief, Swindle is actually a good boss. She doesn’t want high turnover or a negative work environment, believing that if the workers aren’t at optimal efficiency, then that means less profit. Instead of paying for workers, Swindle hires desperate bots who offer to work in exchange for a place to stay/ protection/ fuel. And because of the good work environment and fair trade of work for shelter/ protection/ fuel, a lot of bots stay by Swindle’s side.
Other bits of info…
- design is heavily influenced by TFU
- 40s (in human scale)
- can and will kick your ass
- Hardtop is her right-hand man
- a popular gossip on the warship is who her conjunx is
- the second youngest of the Combaticons

AITA for not giving my fictosexual friend their F/O in the MudaeBot?
My friends and I are all in a shared discord server and one of the bots we have is Mudae where you can collect your favorite characters. I won't specify characters so they won't see this and know, but anyway the one friend this is about claimed a wish of mine. I had a few characters from a fandom they like but they refused to trade me my wished character no matter how much I begged. I even offered to make them art or customs in return for it, but they blatantly refused and just said they'd hold onto it until I got something worthy.
Well after a bit, I lost interest in the fandom and that character, my fixation fading. They don't know this though, just that I've stopped drawing art for it.
Now I know they've identified as fictosexual for a long while, even before we met and they have their list of partners public on their carrd with their own sections and everything. They have most of them wished, but not all of them could fit so there's kind of an unwritten rule to just claim the character for them if you roll it.
Which is why I may be the asshole here, a friend rolled one of their unwished F/O's and I claimed it since that friend already used their claim. The fictosexual friend obviously found out and tried to trade me the charcater I had wished, but like I said I was no longer fixated and didn't care for it anymore, so I said no. I planned on just being a bit of a dick to them so they could feel what I feel for a bit, but they threw a huge tantrum about it and threatened to leave the server which honestly just made me double down lmao. They're really upset with me and saying that since I'm not fictosexual they don't understand what it feels like for them to see me married to their F/O, and that it's different from them claiming a character I was simply hyperfixated on. They're right about me not being fictosexual but I don't see why them being it gives them some kind of barrier the rest of don't get.
Either way I still haven't given them the F/O and I even managed to claim a wished F/O from them too when they were sleeping which has just exasperated the situation. My friends have dm'd me saying the tension in the server is awful, and I should apologize and just give them the characters saying I'm being really phobic to the friend by denying them their F/Os and even just marrying them in front of them when I know they're together is deeply upsetting to them. They've been withdrawn because of it, and won't even join us in VC anymore if I'm there.
I do want the tension in the server to end, but I still don't see why I should give them the character when they've been terrible to me about a character I wanted.
So, what I'm asking is it really that different if they're fictosexual and I'm not? And if so, AITA for marrying their F/Os and keeping them?
What are these acronyms?

at this point in neopet's life cycle I'm only here to watch the neoboards burn
give people the rare items they've always wanted but haven't been able to get because a petpet they want for a custom might cost 20 million+ NP
let them have their dreamies
to hell with the trade chat and pound chat circlejerkers who participate in botting and cheating and price fixing while bemoaning anyone outside their circles who see any success
the recent events with the seasonal attack pea being given out, then decried by community members who then used their amassed fortune to buy up all the cheap peas and flip them for a higher price once they had asked TNT to remove them from the advent calendar should be enough of a sign that those people don't want you to have the pets or the items that they have and are very happy to do whatever they can to ensure nobody else besides them gets any
item/pet trading culture has been extremely toxic for a very long time and I enjoy every instance of rare goodies being handed out and seeing those people complain that its unfair that /other/ people now get to have these items/petpets
as someone else on the boards said: "everyone's all "eat the rich" until its pixels on a screen"
its the reason why fansites/neoclones are as popular as they are. you can actually achieve the things you want without investing literal years into /maybe/ getting a single chance. I hope TNT adds UCs back in. the reactions, both from people who have wanted UCs for years, and the people who hoard them will light a fire bright enough to be seen from across the internet

What are bots in Forex EA?
Tumblr media
Introduction:
A Forex EA is a software program that can automatically trade on your behalf in the MetaTrader 5 trading platform. They are written in the MQL5 programming language and can be used to automate a variety of trading strategies, including trend following, scalping, and arbitrage.
Types:
There are many different types of Forex EA (EAs) available for the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platform. Some of the most common types of EAs include:
Trend following EAs: These EAs trade in the direction of the trend. They typically use moving averages or other technical indicators to identify trends.
Scalping EAs: These EAs open and close trades very quickly, often within minutes or even seconds. They typically use small stop losses and take profits in order to profit from small price movements.
Hedging EAs: These EAs open trades in both the buy and sell direction in order to reduce risk. They typically use stop losses and take profits to protect profits and limit losses.
** Arbitrage EAs:** These EAs take advantage of price differences between different markets. They typically use automated trading to buy an asset in one market and sell it in another market at a profit.
Bots: These EAs are designed to automate a variety of trading tasks, such as placing orders, managing risk, and analyzing market data. They can be used to trade a variety of financial instruments, including forex, stocks, commodities, and cryptocurrencies.
How do EAs work?
EAs work by following a set of instructions that are written in the MQL5 programming language. These instructions are called a trading algorithm. The trading algorithm tells the EA how to trade, such as when to open a trade, when to close a trade, and how much to risk.
Benefits:
There are many benefits to using Forex EA, including:
They can help you to save time and effort. EAs can automatically execute trades according to your trading strategy, freeing up your time to focus on other aspects of your trading.
They can help you to improve your trading performance. EAs can help you to avoid emotional trading and to stick to your trading plan.
They can help you to reduce your risk. EAs can be programmed to take profits and to cut losses automatically, helping you to protect your capital.
Risks:
There are also some risks associated with using Forex EA, including:
They can be expensive. EAs can range in price from a few dollars to hundreds of dollars.
They can be complex to set up and configure. It is important to have a good understanding of the MQL5 programming language in order to set up and configure an EA.
They can be buggy or unreliable. EAs are not perfect and can sometimes make mistakes. It is important to test an EA on a demo account before you use it with real money.
They can be hacked or manipulated. EAs can be hacked or manipulated by malicious actors. It is important to take steps to protect your EA, such as using a secure password and keeping your computer up to date with the latest security patches.
How to choose:
When choosing a Forex EA, there are a few things you should keep in mind:
The trading strategy: Make sure that the EA is based on a trading strategy that you understand and that you are comfortable with.
The performance: Backtest the EA on historical data to see how it has performed in the past.
The price: Don't pay too much for an EA. There are many high-quality EAs available for a reasonable price.
The reviews: Read reviews from other traders who have used the EA.
Where can I find:
There are many places where you can find Forex EA, including:
The MetaTrader 5 marketplace
The MQL5 community
Private trading groups
Individual developers
4xPip:
4xPip is a website that provides traders with a variety of tools and resources to help them succeed in the forex market. One of the most popular tools offered by 4xPip is its Forex EA marketplace.
The 4xPip EA marketplace is home to a wide variety of EAs, all of which have been thoroughly reviewed by the 4xPip team. This ensures that traders can be confident that the EAs they choose are of high quality and will help them to achieve their trading goals.
In addition to providing a wide selection of EAs, 4xPip also offers a number of other features that make it a valuable resource for traders. These features include:
Forex EA reviews: 4xPip reviews all of the EAs in its marketplace, providing traders with detailed information about each EA's performance, features, and risks.
Forex EA backtesting: 4xPip allows traders to backtest EAs on historical data, giving them a better idea of how the EAs will perform in the future.
Forex EA support: 4xPip offers support to traders who are having problems with their EAs.
If you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy source for Forex EA, then 4xPip is the perfect place for you. With its wide selection of EAs, expert reviews, and backtesting tools, 4xPip can help you to find the best EA for your needs and achieve your trading goals.
Here are some additional benefits of using 4xPip to find Forex EA:
You can be sure that the EAs you find are of high quality and have been thoroughly reviewed.
You can backtest EAs on historical data to see how they would have performed in the past.
You can get support from 4xPip if you have any problems with your EAs.
Conclusion:
Forex EA can be a valuable tool for traders who want to automate their trading and improve their performance. However, it is important to do your research and to choose an EA that is right for you.
I hope this blog post has been helpful. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment below.

Octocon: A Review and Comparison. (Website link)
I am writing this on the 14th of July 2024, which is just three days after the first public release of the app(on the 11th). So some of the things I bring up here may no longer be reinvent, when it is updated in the future. I've also only just started using it, so there may be stuff I'm unaware of.
I think the 2 biggest advantage of octocon is, first the fact that it functions as jake of all trades, and second the safety features. The app has a companion discord bot, as well as in app journaling. Making it so it has features of simplyplural, pluralkit, and lighthouse all in one. In terms of safety, in addition to options for a pin lock, there are also a quick exit option and a stealth mod option. With quick exit enabled you can double top any unoccupied spot on the app to immediately close the app. The stealth mode being enabled makes it so when the launches it appears as a news app(pictures on the right below), to access the real app just double tap the logo. Also the app having no reference to systemhood or plurality in the name makes it more convert.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I could see the app being directly connected to the discord bot as being very useful for systems that split alters often. I know from our experience we often don't really bother with setting up PK profiles for a lot of our system(and doing with tokens every time is also annoying), so having the app and bot linked is useful. The discord bot commands are also more private than PKs.
The app can be used for front and alter tracking, you can also set an alter as primary front if multiple alters are fronting. Also alters in the app are given an ID number which can be changed to organize them, rather it being alphabetical(one of our pet peeves with SP is the fact you can't make organization non alphabetical, I say a host whose name starts with V) The app also lets you make alter folders, which can be used for subsystems among other things. It also let you add friends so they can see who is fronting, much like simplyplural.
There are also several different color options for the app.
As for the journaling, there's both individual alter journals and a journal
Now moving on the things I like less about the app. As a reminder the app just come out and the app will likely be changed in the future.
There is no in app way to edit the info for the system as a whole, this is done via the bot on discord. On a related note system usernames must be between 5 and 16 characters long, which as you might notice is to short for our system name.
The is no dashboard, and no chatting or polls in app, though chatting could still be done on discord with bot. Also there's no browser version.
All alter info is on one tab I could see this getting very crowded. there's less custom field options(not date options for example) and no markdown support(meaning you can't add images and such to bios and the like). There is also currently not wat to achieve alters.
There is no non folder way to represent subsystems in the app, mean there is also no subsystem specific group journals. (Side note lighthouse is very good for keeping track of subsystems, if your system has multiple I recommend you give it a try)
The app's current front history keeping is rather bare bones.
Closing thoughts
For now we are going to continue predominately using simplyplural and pluralkit. Simplyplural for it's better information keeping, and pluralkit do to its prevalence. However I am very excited to see what octocon's future hold and can absolutely understand why some systems would prefer it over alternatives. I am also always glad to see new system resources being created!

“They sold us a brighter future. They delivered the end of the world.” Hello Sunshine is a mystery survival RPG set in the sun-scorched ruins of a corporate empire. You play the final employee. Your mission: reach the tower at the end of the road, and help decide the fate of what remains of this world. To survive the blistering heat and deadly sun, you’ll walk in the shadow of a towering war machine, scavenging for supplies and searching for pieces to the puzzle. When the sun sets and the robot stops to charge, you’ll make camp, craft new gear, and repair your mechanical guardian. But the wasteland is freezing cold at night. Stay close to the robot to keep warm. The journey to the tower is long. You won’t make it on your own. As the sun rises, the robot starts walking. Follow—and stay alive until the end of the road.
Key Features
Walk in the Shadow of a Giant Robot – The sun is your enemy. The robot’s shadow provides protection from the heat and radiation. Stay in the shade or risk exposure—but the further into the wasteland you venture, the greater the rewards.
Survive the Freezing Nights – The wasteland turns bitterly cold after sundown. After the robot stops to recharge at a Sunshine Service Station, you must stay close to keep warm. Make camp, cook food, craft new gear, upgrade your equipment—and keep an eye out for visiting strangers, for appearances can deceive.
Repair, Customize, and Upgrade Your Mobile Base – The wandering robot is more than a companion—it’s your lifeline. Enhance it with improved sensors, defensive systems, and mechanical upgrades. Add decals and personal touches, even a fresh coat of paint.
Build a Lasting Relationship With the Robot – At first, the colossus barely acknowledges you. Over time, your bond strengthens. Assist the robot with repairs, install upgrades, and unlock new ways to interact. In return, the metal giant will aid you on your journey—locating secrets hidden in the desert, lifting you past obstacles, shielding you from threats, fighting back against hostile war machines.
Scavenge, Craft, Progress – Salvage resources from supply drops and storage units, scavenge downed war machines, military stations and abandoned settlements. At night, use a Sunshine Recycler to break loot into base components, and craft gear, tools and weapons to improve your odds of survival.
Deploy your Little Guys – Assemble and program helper bots to automate and assist in common tasks like gathering resources, mapping terrain, hunting prey, and defending against drone attacks.
Piece Together the Mystery of a Broken World – Sunshine sold humanity a brighter future. Instead, the corporation left behind a wasteland of automated systems still waging war long after their creators vanished. Who is the Final Employee? What is the giant white tower at the end of the road? And what happens when the last machine remembers your name?
Rise in the Corporate Hierarchy – Complete menial tasks to gain employee levels and earn bonus points, unlocking vending machines, rest areas and self-care rooms, and other workplace perks from Sunshine’s automated service stations. After all, a dependable employee gets the best benefits!
Play Solo or Cooperatively – Team up with a friend (or workmate) to experience the journey from different perspectives. Coordinate scavenging runs, trade resources, and explore how your peculiar partnership shapes the unfolding narrative.

been waiting for Matt Levine to write more about AI, and he doesn't disappoint
"Wells Fargo is using large language models to help determine what information clients must report to regulators and how they can improve their business processes. “It takes away some of the repetitive grunt work and at the same time we are faster on compliance,” said Chintan Mehta, the firm’s chief information officer and head of digital technology and innovation. The bank has also built a chatbot-based customer assistant using Google Cloud’s conversational AI platform, Dialogflow."
Do you think that Wells Fargo’s customer chatbot pushes customers to open more accounts to meet its quotas? Do you think that its regulatory-reporting chatbot then reports it to regulators? Soon Wells Fargo may be able to generate and negotiate billion-dollar regulatory settlements without any human involvement at all. ... Isn’t this sort of exciting? The widespread use of relatively early-stage AI will introduce new ways of making mistakes into finance. Right now there are some classic ways of making mistakes in finance, and they periodically lead to consequences ranging from funny embarrassment through multimillion-dollar trading loss up to systemic financial crises. Many of the most classic mistakes have the broad shape of “overly confident generalizing from limited historical data,” though some are, like, hitting the wrong button. But there are only so many ways to go wrong, and they are all sort of intuitive. ... Now some banker is going to type into a chat bot “our client wants to hedge the risk of the Turkish election,” and the chat bot will be like “she should sell some Dogecoin call options and use the proceeds to buy a lot of nickel futures,” and the banker will be like “weird okay whatever.” And that trade will go wrong in surprising ways, the client will sue, the client and the banker and the chat bot will all come to court, the judge will ask the chat bot “well why would this trade hedge anything,” and the chat bot will shrug its little imaginary shoulders and be like “bro why are you asking me I’m a chat bot.” Or it will say “actually the Dogecoin/nickel spread was ex ante an excellent proxy for Turkish political risk because” and then emit a series of ones and zeros and emojis and high-pitched noises that you and I and the judge can’t understand but that make perfect sense to the chat bot. New ways to be wrong! It will make life more exciting for financial columnists, for a bit, before we are all replaced by the chat bots.

Gorgeous Merchandise to Accompany an Awesome Anthology!
Tumblr media
It wouldn’t be a Duck Prints Press crowdfunding campaign if we didn’t have super cool merchandise to accompany our spectacular anthology of outside-the-binary characters exploring aetherpunk worlds, Aether Beyond the Binary. We worked with some really awesome creators this time, and we’re so excited to share the art they’ve done and the merch we’ll be making with it!
Hologram Plant-Loving Robot Sticker: this adorable plant-watering bot graces the back cover of the wrap-around cover by Mar Spragge, and they and the plants they’re watering will sparkle and shine on this rectangular, shimmery, holographic sticker. 4 in x 4 in/10.25 cm x 10.25 cm. (Printed by Vograce)
Aether Music Magic Bookmark: this lovely glossy bookmark features artwork by Pippin Peacock on the front and the signatures of the contributors to Aether Beyond the Binary on the back. 2 in x 7 in/5 cm x 17.75 cm. (Printed by UPrinting)
Aether Dux Die-Cut Sticker: it wouldn’t be a Duck Prints Press anthology without a custom Dux designed by Alessa Riel. Dux is our non-binary company mascot, and for this campaign they’re decked out with crystals and machinery and ready for aether flight. 3 in x 3 in/7.5 cm x 7.5 cm. (Printed by Vograce)
Non-Binary Sky Whale Enamel Pin: this lovely pin depicts a celestial whale moving through a starscape, with the non-binary gender sign dangling by a chain from they’re mouth. The artwork for this pin is by Atomic Pixies. 2 in x 2 in/5 cm x 5 cm. (Manufactured by Alchemy)
BONUS MERCHANDISE! That adorable plant-loving robot? We’ll be making it into a key chain as our Patron-exclusive extra! All $10/month and $25/month patrons who also back the campaign will get this cutie to hang from their keys!
Our campaign, which launches on December 26th 2023 (four days from when this post goes up – soooooon!) will include backer levels with all this merch, and also pick-and-choose add-on options. We’re also offering a trade paperback AND a premium hardcover edition of this book – our first anthology published as a hardcover! There’s loads of other add-ons too – our past anthologies (as e-books or in print!), a short story bundle of works by Aether Beyond the Binary contributors, 5 (FIVE!!!) of the adorable dux plushies by EmpowerFantasy Plush, one-of-a-kind wands by Alessa Riel, and more.
We’re days away from launch – follow our pre-launch page and get notified when the campaign goes live!

Native plant enthusiasts in Ontario, Canada, this is for you.
Leaving Facebook, I miss the Ontario Native Plant Gardening group. I couldn't find any communities on alternative social media so I'm working on making my own. Although Facebook will always be the mecca for the older generation of gardeners, I think it's worth forging some communities elsewhere, even if they're smaller, for those of us who deleted Meta apps. There's benefits to small communities, too, like less off-topic spam and less bad advice.
The Goal:
To create a space to share pictures, information, resources, news, and ask questions, get advice, help newbies get started, and trade seeds and plants, specific to PLANTS NATIVE TO ONTARIO, CANADA.
Gardening of highly cultivated or exotic plants (e.g., most garden veggies and herbs) is off-topic; while it may be discussed incidentally, posts/activity that is totally focused on it will be removed. Discussion of removing invasive plants is also allowed, while promoting the planting of invasive plants is not allowed.
Links:
Discord: DM me (@vormoranox) for link because I don't want to invite bot spam by posting it widely here.
BlueSky "custom feed" (like it and pin it): https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:c4bxovkrkuszkrw6m25tyiix/feed/aaac75apohl
Reddit (VERY barebones as of Feb 2025, setting up a subreddit is kind of crazy and I've only basically picked the name and effectively nothing else and I'm very new to this): /r/OntarioNativePlants
