Honestly really like the many different and varying interpretations of Naegami and I am just going to gush about it with some small Naegamigiri/Toenaegiri in there too for good measure! Another one is just, these two knuckleheads getting into hijinks cus Makoto is just a magnet for trouble and Byakuya just can't stop starting shit. Adding Kyoko in the mix for that goody good sprinkle of Naegamigiri/Tonaegiri also gives is slight Scooby Doo hijinks I also appreciate. Insert Benny Hill Theme. It is legit just, Makoto existing and crap happening, Byakuya making more problems, and Kyoko being the one who fixes all the bullshit. Though this version of the trio gets me too. Just: "Makoto gets in trouble, Byakuya causes trouble, and Kyoko also causes trouble sometimes but she knows how to course-correct" I guess chaotic gays just do stuff to my brain. Releases the happy brain juices into my body and soul. Like, just let them do arson! It'd be great! Or just, Byakuya doing arson while Makoto sheds a singular tear.

There's also other stuff like, what makes the Naegami in a non-despair au alter from the Naegami with despair? That kinda stuff. I eat that shit up. All the shit. Too much shit. Chronically. This stuff is just fascinating to me. Cus there's questions to be had such as would they be as close in a non-despair story without some meddling? And the best part is that there's no right or wrong answer in a sense. It's fluid and nice and it's cool. Specifically regarding tropes and stuff for these two regardless of despair or non-despair is that good good slow burn. Like, the two of them slowly hanging out more and getting to know each other and badabing, badaboom, Byakuya's definitely not crushing HARD and he's also SOOOO not having having an identity crisis too while we're at it. Another thing I like are interpretations where the two of them are equals in a sense or instances where it's not just Makoto helping Byakuya out. Basically, where both boys get to help one another. This also doesn't really matter if it's despair or non-despair. I just like these two being a unit together! It can be as small as Byakuya helping Makoto be more assertive and not a total doormat or Makoto teaching Byakuya that he shouldn't put all this stress on himself or just hitting him with the reality that his childhood SUCKED. Or just, hitting him with the fact that he kinda a shitty poo poo head! Not like that though! Makoto would never shake him and say something like that. It'd be more like Byakuya coming to the realization that he treats others bad and he's a hypocrite. I want him to suffer a bit before he gets to be gay with the egg/hj Gosh. I'm probably missing so many differing interpretations I've seen or had, dang it! This may be a bit incoherent for all I know. Though, me try. This is also getting a bit too long so... Loki x Komand'r (Blackfire)-The most perfect Marvel!Loki crack ship in existence. Spurned space royals with unhealthy sibling rivalries! Ice and Fire! Alien disabilities. Loathed by their subjects and mistreated by parents. Evil older sister and evil younger brother! Like I kinda want to analyze that a villainous princess is often presented as the older one and that a villainous prince is usually the younger one + the associations of age with gender (I know Loki is genderfluid but that happened until the 2010s and they were merely queer-coded until then).

Loki x Mordred-Usurper bastard (literal) princes keen on patricide. Also, is it me or does Mordred's death in La Morte d'Arthur is very reminiscent of myth!Loki's death in Ragnarok?

Not ship-related because there's too many characters, unless you want to play olympic polyamory. I'd love to see Loki interact with The Doom Patrol or The Umbrella Academy members. I feel they'd be kindred spirits in the whole super fuck-up/destined to lose departments.

With TDP, Loki would probably summon them for some bullshit, and it'd be a weird whacky Grant Morrisonesque adventure. Maybe Willoughby Kipling was fucking around trying to summon Baphomet cus of his massive crush, and ended up contacting Loki who told him of some impending disaster, but he has to remain a living battery. And so Kipling goes off to get TDP on it. It's also interesting that they all have regrets, and many of them were not kind people and are very insecure about themselves. So if Loki manages to get free, it'd be interesting to see how they interact. Maybe they try to convince him that the multiverse will be safe and try to get him out? Maybe he grants them a favor in return? TDP is the best super-hero adjacent show I've ever watched, btw. Highly recommend!

With TUA , they're all "adopted" through unethical means and were pitted against each other from birth, and grew up in a mansion with their very powerful and abusive adoptive alien dad played by Colm Feore (who also played Laufey in T1). Not to mention, a lot of them could pass as Loki variants (Luther is Captain America with some Thor thrown in, Diego's the knife guy with a rivalry to his blonde brother with a dysfunctional relationship to a bottle blonde whose childhood was ruined by a time organization, Allison's power is words, Klaus is a gnc queer disaster often looked down upon, Five is a cranky know-it-all and capable of timefuckery/ends up in fucked up places often, Sparrow!Ben and Luther have that fandom Thor and Loki dynamic in that Sparrow!Ben is constantly doing crimes and Luther bailing him out. Umbrella!Ben on the other hand was afraid of his abilities and died, Viktor was lied to about not being something he wanted to be and is trans while Loki was lied to about being something he wanted to be. Loki taking the role of a protective yet murderous eldritch older brother to the rest of them would be cool. And it'd be funny to have this eldritch guy bearing a very strong resemblance to their alien "adoptive" father show up and he's like "I'm gonna kill him AGAIN". Insert rant about how bad/inconsistent the characterizations and writing for both Loki and TUA characters became as time went on.

MCU:

Loki x Valkyrie is my MCU OTP. They both had to do horrible things they're not proud of to survive around a madman in a lawless place, and they're both foils to Thor. I guess they appeal to me in that they both were forced to learn to deal with the GM. They were in Sakaar long enough for that to happen. The fight scene between these two made me ship them. And I personally think Valkyrie was one of the good things in TR; I just think she's neat. I like that she met Loki outside of Asgard and has been outside of the loop. The dynamic of "Your adoptive dad forced me to fight his wars and then i ended up in a place where time runs differently" is intriguing. I don't know why I ship this with an intensity rivaling my shipping of Zutara D: I knew it'd not be cannon because Marvel are cowards, but I'm upset they are no longer standing next to each other!

Frostshield-A fic made me ship them. I liked that the fic HC'd that Loki was also sickly as a child, but he was vengeful. It showed that they dealt with being perceived as weak in very different ways.

Loki x Nebula-Loki might know her already, and they have a lot in common. They're even both blue! LMAO.

To cut myself with a knife i did the bread as a kid only finger it hurt and later when in the kitchens working i cut myself a few times with knifes

I cut out 3 varukas when i was about 11/12 with a knife it hurt but i did care i wanted then out gone and it worked.

Compared to the men Bill had come to know in his life, Javier Escuella was something else. Bill had noticed it ever since the boy began interacting with the lot of them, ever since he got used to the language and their way of life. He had adapted quickly, intrigued by Dutch’s philosophy like nobody else.

Javier was surely loyal, dependable and skilled. Even if Bill had been reluctant to trust the Mexican at first, by now, he was as much a part of their gang as he himself.

The man was busy polishing his boots now, his posture relaxed where he sat upon the wooden chair.

Camp had long since fallen quiet, most others retreating for the night to leave them by themselves at the campfire.

Bill cradled his second bottle of beer, which wasn’t too much, considering the time of day. He had placed himself on the ground comfortably, leaning back against a log and keeping his eyes trained on the dancing flames. At least outwardly. That he kept watching Javier out of the corners of his eyes wasn’t intentional.

“Somethin’ on your mind?” His eyes widened when he found Javier’s trained to his. He had let his thoughts wander, had given the other man a chance to catch onto his insistent glances.

Bill swallowed against the embarrassment, peeling his eyes away to take a deep swig of his drink. “Nuffin’,” he muttered, not daring to look at the other’s inquiring face again.

Javier kept observing him. Something akin to panic ran through Bill’s body all the while, his fingers clenching around the bottle of beer. The man’s scrutiny made him feel trapped, his eyes indicating that Javier knew something he didn’t.

He only allowed a relieved breath to leave his mouth when Javier finally returned to his work, focused his attention on his boot instead of Bill’s heated face.

The glances kept coming though, his eyes wandering, body betraying him despite his best judgment. Javier was observant and even though he didn’t raise his voice again, Bill knew that he noticed the looks he received.

His boot was shining already, the golden tip of it reflecting the light of the flames and drawing Bill’s eyes in even more. No one at camp seemed to keep quite as clean as Javier did. He was an odd outlaw altogether; way too delicate looking, too feminine, inconspicuous almost. It made him all the more dangerous.

He followed the man’s movements, watched the way his slim hands worked over the leather of his boot. Never before had Bill taken this much time to watch him closely. All he did looked elegant, his posture straight, ankle propped up on his knee. Bill knew that he was staring blatantly by now, that he no longer even tried to mask his glances as anything but admiration.

They were on their own by the main campfire, merely a passed out Uncle snoring further off to the side.

He had given in to his inappropriate desires before. Had received the punishment for his actions right away. They were free men now though, not held back by the conventions of society.

The beer in his hands was forgotten by now, attention fully trained to Javier and his boots. He sat upon his wooden chair like it was a throne, his impeccable appearance only furthering the effect.

Bill found himself breathless, captivated. He stared at Javier like a man discovering water in the desert. It felt like he was starving, dying of thirst; with his desires being neglected for so long.

When he glanced back towards the other man, trailing his eyes up to his face, there was a pair of dark ones staring at him. The expression within them unfathomable.

“C'mere,” Javier demanded, his voice quiet. He put his foot down to the ground, the boot clean and gleaming.
