Also, Gawain's "body" being encased by Nimue's plants at the same moment as Lancelot faces up to the Trinity guard with that beautiful music, as well as the music that happens when they share a look in the torture tent END me.

So i’m head over heels in deep for this ship and here’s why

The Weeping Monk fights and captures Gawain and ends up revealing to the man that he’s Fey.

Then while in the Paladin camp Gawain doesn’t outright tell everyone about him bit he hints it enough that now Lancelot is nervous af and veeery confused.

So he goes and visits Gawain and asks him and Gawain! Gawain sees him! Not as the Paladins dog but as a Fey who has brainwashed, who’s lost! He calls him brother and starts saying things that perhaps he’s already subconsciously thought of like:

Then what happens?? Squirrel is taken prisoner and he tries to help him and gets slapped for it!!! Mayhaps Gawains words about how he doesn’t harm the children but stand idly by and lets it happen echoes through his brain in this moment? Cause he is no longer standing idly by while they hurt the boy! He’s now actively trying to help even if he’s a little awkward and unsure about it.

But here’s the thing, when we next see the Weeping Monk he’s since whipped himself BECAUSE HE CAN NO LONGER FEELS GOD GRACE!!! BECAUSE GAWAIN’S WORDS HAVE AFFECTED HIM SO MUCH THAT HIS ENTIRE SENSE OF SELF AND HIS BELIEFS ARE BEGINNING TO CRUMBLE AND HE ASKS IF FATHER CARDEN LOVES HIM BECAUSE HE WANTS TO FEEL LOVED AND SOMEONE HELP ME I HAVE FEELS

And Father Carden, omg I cant right now, Father Carden unknowingly gives Lancelot a piece of advice which turns out to be the final piece of the puzzle that finally pushes in the right direction that he needed. This right here:

“Do you have the will to do what is necessary to save your soul?”

What does Lancelot do next?

HE SAVES SQUIRREL FROM BROTHER SALT AND DECIMATES THE TRINITY GUARD AND LEAVES THE PALADINS!!!

HE HAD THE WILL TO DO WHAT WAS NECESSARY TO SAVE HIS SOUL!!! Just not in the way Father Carden had in mind!

ALL OF THIS BECAUSE OF GAWAIN!!!!!!!

BECAUSE OF GAWAIN’S WORDS! If Gawain hadn’t found out about him being Fey and then tried to reach through to him, I don’t Lancelot would have done any of that.

Yes this part of him, the good, was in him but I generally believe that without Gawain’s words to him in that tent, Lancelot might never have questioned things, might never have betrayed his beliefs and saved Squirrel.

It was Gawain that ultimately pushed him towards it and its because of this that I ship them so damn hard. No one could come close for me now (Sorry Nimue). Not when I have Gawain who was the person to push Lancelot on the path of redemption. Not when I have Gawain who was the first person to accept him for who he is. The first person to believe in him.

jesus, okay. bigb's fourth wild life session goes as follows:

bigb schemes with mumbo and grian to lure scott into their trap

cleo overhears. she rightfully gets mad at him

bigb tells her he was lying. cleo (RIGHTFULLY) does not believe him.

he says (TO HER FACE) that he's never done something like that.

SHE RIGHTFULLY REMINDS HIM OTHERWISE.

he goes crying to ren (wholesome box boys reunion!!!).

the way he explains the situation sounds like he deadass was going to help mumbo and grian and lied to cleo about lying. which is. hysterical.

ren ropes bigb along in his plan to kill and trap grian

while planning, bigb sees grian in the distance.

bigb lies about killing a pig for food, sneaks off and TELLS GRIAN. ABOUT THE PLAN TO KILL HIM.

bigb still ends the session allied with ren and martyn, neither of them knowing he snitched.

by the way both plots are executed about a million miles away from bigb. he doesn't even get actually involved with either scheme he's roped into. he literally misses the grian kill because he was too busy cooking.

and then he still meets with the Gs after all that, saying sorry to scott

and then he shoots pearl. which ends in him running away as she and cleo shoot after him.

all this to say: bigb is a go-with-the-flow kind of guy. in the WORST WAY POSSIBLE. this man is not as bound to the world of roleplay and alliances which means he does whatever the fuck he wants. i stand by my theory that this man thrives best when he's a lone wolf. he does not fucking care about anyone else, the only reason he has allies is for survival!! he's just a silly guy who does what he wants!! his principles are unknowable!!! his moral compass is spinning!!! he thinks consequences don't apply to him and he's wrong but he's not going to act otherwise!!! all he knows is eat hot chip and lie. and he drives me crazy
