There I did it a fanart of each game in the Neir universe…Drakengard isn't really seen as canon to Yoko Taro or at least hasn't put it officially into the universe…from what I saw and researched and was told…with how eh the second game is kinda don't blame.

Anyway in Drakengard 3 which is a prequel we more or less find out about the origin of the cult of the watchers and a lot of interesting things…the tone can kinda get…crass/trying to be deadpool/semi meta and just eh but like the story is good. And this is One with her Twin she made from her own rib…yes we all see the religious allegory. There was concept art with the twins merged similar to the cult of the watchers symbol and I just wanted to draw something…I might draw the other sisters one day…oh that is a lot of people…ugh I have enough on my plate

An au I've been thinking about the lore for for a while but still have no plot so instead of a story you get my ramblings:

(Not mentioned in this post but this au does deal with self harm)

There's two different types of gods, gods confined to one dimension and multidimensional gods. One dimensional gods aren't really important to this, but they involve ESMP s2 Joel, s1 Lizzie and Jimmy, Aeor and Exor, Santa Perla, etc.

The only really important ones in this au are the multi dimensional ones, which there are three types of. Watchers and Listeners like normal, but also a third type that's based on Gem's ESMP s2 character called Walkers. As the name suggests, Walkers can move between worlds to carry out the Watchers will.

There's three gods on the traffic smp, Grian is a rebel Watcher, Martyn is a Listener, and Gem is an escaped Walker. All Walkers are wolf hybrids because they're kind of seen as guard dogs to the Watchers, it's basically a cult to be honest.

Gem and Grian didn't grow up together, but after he ran away, Gem was assigned to keep an eye on him, and that's how she got on Hermitcraft. Grian pretty much took one look at her and said "is anyone going to get her therapy?" When Grian heard she was being put into the life series and that the theme of the series was basically the Watchers giving orders, he saw a chance to help her escape their grasp. The Boogeyman task was specifically made for her so see how evil they were, he didn't count on how good she was at following directions.

Martyn is a Listener, unlike Walkers, Listeners are completely separate from the Watchers. Martyn was sent to keep the life series chaotic for the purposes of making sure it ends and the people aren't stuck in the Watcher's world forever.

I'm honestly obsessed with the whole "existing just to serve other people" thing right now. For her entire immortal life, Gem was taught to completely disregard her own emotions, the idea of even considering herself, much less prioritizing herself is such a foreign concept to her.

I kinda want to rant about how Grian and Gem grew up more because they're so traumatized so if someone could conveniently send me an ask about that I would be forever in your debt /j (I'm going to make the post either way because this is my blog and I get to talk to myself on here)

...so I was thinking about how Selene's community probably had a different image of Ondra from what we actually see in-game, and this is what I came up with:

has the physique of a pale elf, resembling the members of the community

exaggerated, larger-than-life proportions, specifically long neck and arms

face and heart both replaced with holes, representing oblivion

literally made of water, draws on the imagery of Ondra's Hair as her actual hair

holds Belafa in her hand (can be drawn as any phase of the moon)

wears beaded necklaces that represent the memories she collects

Ah Drakengard…due to a 7 hour video about the Nier universe I know of this game, Lore and story good and interesting, game play…oof…and Drakengard 2 is ignored when it comes to lore of the Nierverse…anyway back to the art.

Manah the creepy as hell child who is defiantly on my fictional children I wish to punt. High Priestess of the cult of the watchers…listen you don't have to play the game to know that is one messed up title for a child to have…and the scene with her dancing around a dead body…which is what this art is kinda based on…sans the dead body.

Heeeyyyy,,,, soooo... about that one au u're ramblin' aboot earlier... Hoe'd grian and gem grow up? Im honestly still intrigued, and little scenaroios are currently playing around in my head, but i wanna know of your rants/rambles abt theem!! Pls.

They were both raised in a cult but on completely different sides, Grian was raised to think that his species was superior to all others, he created the life series for fun the first time but meeting Scar kinda knocked some sense into him, it was kinda an owl house Collector scenario in which he went "oh shit people die when they die." He went back and started talking to other watchers about his friends and was subsequently yelled at by all the elders and put back in the life game, but this time with a mechanic installed to encourage the players to not be close, Last Life was meant as a punishment for Grian

Gem on the other hand was raised to be subservient, she grew up being taught to completely worship the Watchers, Walkers weren't allowed to talk to each other and the only words they learned were to take orders. I think this was mentioned in the original post, but all the Walkers are candid hybrids because they're all pretty much bundles of anxiety who've been ruined as a species. Gem was one of the "favorites" so she was sent out to Hermitcraft to keep an eye on Grian, who was kicked out for being a traitor.

Jumping around here but Grian's perspective would have been a literal horror movie, he's lost his entire family, life, and friends and is now being stalked.

The first time they really met and he tried to talk to her was in season nine, Grian was trying to overthrow Ren and Obviously the Soup Group was involved too, at this point Gem really didn't understand the concept of people actually wanting her input and was used to just going along with what other people said, so Pearl and Impulse want to overthrow the king? She'd just tag along.

Grian heard her talking to Pearl and afterwards tried to talk with her, she refuses to talk to him, repeatedly calling him a traitor, he finally loses his temper and tells her she's also a traitor and that what she's doing to Ren is exactly what he's doing to the Watchers.

After that, the Watchers decide that they don't want to risk Gem betraying them and that's how she got thrown into the Life Series, kinda backfires and she ends up leaving the Watchers after all

Kinda alluded to this in the first post, but Gem really struggles with self harm because for the first part of her life it was a defense mechanism, she would get lesser punishments for messing up if she did them to herself, and although she's working on it, it's a pretty hard habit to break, it took nearly a month for Gem to not start spiraling in every casual conversation she had, pretty safe to say that killing Scott and Impulse brought up some not so nice memories for her

This was a bit more about post childhood than actual childhood but ADHD brain makes the executive decisions here

Someone was watching him.

Aether could feel the eyes on him,always watching,no matter where he was,no matter what he did. No matter if he was awake or asleep,someone was always watching.

He didn't know who it was,and he didn't think he wanted to know. If he didn't know,if he didn't stop to think about it,he could feel at least a little at peace with the eyes.

He knew the walls had ears,people had told him that. People had whispered it under baited breath. What they hadn't told him however,was that the walls had eyes. Everything did. The sky,the sun,people he spoke too. They all seemed to keep their eyes trained on him. Watching.

Everything seemed fake. Even his dear Paimon was hiding something. Or more like,some one. Someone who knew of his presence,who knew of his past,and was bent on watching him all the time. Making sure that his every movement was seen and recorded under a watchful gaze.

The more he realized this,the more paranoid he became. What could he do to stop the watching? To get even a minute of privacy.

Privacy. It seemed like a distant dream now,the idea,the facade of having time and space to yourself. Privacy wasn't real. It was a fake,made up idea meant to give hope.

After awhile,he began to think of the one watching him as a God of sorts. After all,how else would they be watching him day in and day out,never letting up? How could they,unless they were a divine being of sorts?

He now worships the being,who he calls "The Watcher",fervently. The watcher protects. The watcher loves. The watcher is compassion and kindness itself. The watcher keeps you safe.

That was the mantra he had begun to repeat daily,whispering and talking to himself as he looked around paranoidly. To others he looked crazy. A sad man wandering the world in search for a sister no one had seen,worshipping a God no one had heard of.

But that was ok with Aether. After all,The Watcher didn't think he was crazy. And that was all that mattered.

Not sure if that's how I want the venom thing to work. I think it'll be a voluntary thing. I think I'll have it where I can choose to use it on my hands but with the cerata it's just always there. But for the purpose of this joke it can be done by accident!

This is also the first one where I figured out what Chos wears! Popular demand said I should give him clothes but with the arm web things I can't really use a shirt so just pants and a cape will do!
