Makes sense. Spearmaster is literally the lightest slugcat in the game. They can fly with a squidcada when starving. With all this weight difference, it would make sense that Spearmaster is not only thin, but also smol

Did you know that, in Rain World, Spearmaster is actually canonically really small? Explanation under cut. Spoiler warning for the endings of Rivulet and Spearmaster.

If we assume that Looks to the Moon sits at the same height as Seven Red Suns, we can get a comparison between the sizes of Rivulet and Spearmaster.

By matching their head sizes between their ending images and their menu images, we can create this as a size comparison between them.

As we see, Rivulet is bigger than Spearmaster. But by how much?

I did some rotating of their images and overlayed them with each-other and created this.

As is clearly visible, Rivulet is far bigger than Spearmaster. Spear's tail is probably around about the same size as Riv's, but the scug has no torso! And this isn't just a matter of "Spearmaster is hunched over" because that'd be a really weird posture if so - the tail of a Slugcat is basically an extension of their torso rather than an appendage like with regular cats. This means that all things considered, Spearmaster's posture probably isn't interfering much.

In summary, Spearmaster is smol.

Spearmaster doesn't say anything, they just think about how much they think they failed.

[ Ooc notes: I wanted to use Wigglypaint for this gif thing, but my Chromebook wont let me. so I used BrushNinja instead, I think it still worked? (far too lazy to copy-paste the hex I used for Spears so I just used white as the outline color lol ]

What a strange mark they've got above their head.. not like any mark of communication seen before..

They seem.. focused.. yet anxious..

They turn to look around the room. They spot a few slugcats (you can choose who they see btw)

Important! Do not look for meaning in the statistics of the cards and their consistency in the game. These maps are based on the statistics of the Rain World game. Also, I did not add new symbols so that people looking at the cards immediately understood what the meaning was, and did not try to find a description of a new symbol. Thanks for understanding

I also made it so that Downpour characters are rare cards.(I do not know why, but let it be..)

i made speary dream too :D (featuring the correct aspect ratio this time)

I tried to keep it as canon compliant as possible, so the dreams mostly focus on the story rather than Spearmaster themself. Though I tried to make the last image give them a bit more character by showing how they miss Suns !

I want to draw Rivulet next, which will probably focus on just them being cute rather than the grander story of their campaign haha (if you have any ideas for things rivulet can dream about let me know i need ideas-)

i lowkey like the flats better but i spent too long on the background to scrap it ashfhhfg

suns and spearmaster as dr frankenstein and his monster! (because suns literally made spearmaster but kinda fucked up and wrong)

gourmand, survivor, and monk as a pumpkin, skeleton, and bee respectively! (i just thought these costumes were cute and matched their colours)

sliver and saint as ghosts (self explanatory honestly sliver is literally dead) and inv in a maid dress (idk if thats even a costume honestly that freaks just kinda like that)
