Impulse has a problem.

That problem is his best friend. His best friend, who he has a crush on. His best friend, who is very, very openly aromantic and asexual. His best friend, who loves doing typically “romantic” things with all the people he’s close with. Things which, unfortunately, make Impulse’s heart feel like it’s about to explode. He’s just glad Skizz is so oblivious about Impulse’s “tiny” crush.

Smash cut to Skizz, who picked up on Impulse’s feelings for him even before Impulse did, and has been freaking out about it for months. He doesn’t want to hurt his best friend’s feelings, but, well… not saying anything just feels like leading him on.

(They have that conversation, at some point in time. But right now? Is not that point.)

At the heart of the issue is this: neither of them want to talk about it and risk losing what they already have. Impulse knows he can't be with Skizz romantically, but Skizz worries that's what he wants. Impulse thinks these 'romantic' feelings would ruin their relationship if Skizz found out about them, not knowing Skizz has known for some time.

So it's easier, isn't it, to just say nothing at all. Instead of realising there's still a conversation to be had that addresses those issues, and that 'best friend' or 'boyfriend' aren't the only options.

But until then, they'll skirt around this uncomfortable lump between them, until probably Gem or Pearl forces them to talk about it.

(It doesn't make for fun hangouts when they're both being so awkward!)

Stand Master: Odile

Stand appearance: Paperhouse is a large orange stando, large in appearance, appearing almost like a large wall with its front & back being completely flat. Its body contains patterns that resemble slim lines, resembling the pages of a closed book.

Abilities: Similar to stands like Heaven's Door and Enigma, Paperhouse's power deals with paper. It is more similar to the former in which it can turn things into paper (only non-living objects, however), telepathically being able to manipulate the physical properties of affected objects. For example, weapons like blades can be crumbled up into balls, and shields can be torn into. Only five objects can be paperised at a time, and anything affected will return to its usual state as soon as Paperhouse lets go of them (e.g. crumbled swords will spring back to their original state).

SO. Hi! This is mod enen, aka @crystaleevee4. I'm here because being a mod seems fun and I like reading people's headcanons! I have watched:

...So yeah! What I'm trying to achieve as a mod for this blog is More Headcanons, and just generally a larger audience (for more headcanons). While I won't always add on my own ideas, you can expect to pretty commonly see additions to your headcanons if I'm the one answering them! Be warned: I am an Imp n Skizz fan first and foremost, do NOT go to my personal blog if you want anything other than endless reblogs of the besties. Also, this is my first time ever modding for anything, so please be kind :)

So. Flowers.

Everyone gets them. They grow in their hair and sprout from cracks in the sidewalk when they step, changing in association with their emotions in any given moment. Lessons on flower language are in the curriculum at schools, to help people differentiate their emotions and promote communication among others.

Impulse gets flowers when he's around Skizz. They're daffodils and they're pink roses and they're blue roses.

Skizz gets flowers when he's around Impulse. But they're not those types of flowers; they're daisies, yellow and blue, and they're alstroemerias and sunflowers. Not the flowers associated with "romance" in any way.

The two of them grew up in a little town not too big on flower language; they never knew what the flowers they grew around each other meant. And they didn't particularly care.

...That is, until they moved to a big city for college, and made friends with the kind of people who did grow up around flower language, who do know the meanings behind the flowers the two grow for each other.

No one ever says anything to them until, in their second year of college, and the second year of the two being roommates, Skizz starts getting little daffodils in the mix.

(Just to make this a bit easier for everyone: the meanings I'm sourcing from this are daffodils (in impulse's case) for unrequited love, blue roses also for unrequited love, and pink roses for quote "admiration, happiness, and love". for skizz, we've got yellow daisies for joy, optimism, and friendship, blue daisies for long-term loyalty and trust, alstroemerias for friendship and strength, sunflowers for loyalty and happiness, and daffodils for new love/new beginnings. i wanted to go a bit further/add more flowers for both of them but im tired)

In their small town, everybody had their own story about what flowers must mean. The phenomenon had only recently began proper research, with brain scans now possible. Even then, it's still difficult. So, not much news spread to their little home.

And then their friends in the city kinda assumed they already knew. After all, Impulse is pretty obviously a cry for help.

So imagine their surprise when Skizz starts growing daffodils too and instead of rejoicing about reciprocated love, they're just excited they match now.

Yeah. It's probably time to stage an intervention.

Hello i am on my friend's account and thats why im using asks instead of comments BUT. for your qsmp headcanons. I like them but unfortunately two of them,, kind of wouldn't work out?

The "phil can't handle spice" thing. This is only correct if he isn't an avian. Why? Because birds can't taste capsaicin (the chemical that makes things spicy).

"Charlie doesn't really need his glasses as much as mariana" cc Charlie's prescription is, like, -6.5, which means actually he can't even legally drive without glasses and personally i think this would be the same with his character? Again, up to you!

Yeah that's it, once again I did genuinely like your headcanons and I'm not trying to say they're bad! Just pointing some stuff out

Okay I'm gonna be real honest and say I don't know jack shit about bird anatomy besides what we learn at school and like common sense things so nice to know, poor birds and their limited palate! And anyway I'm just going to believe he is very human in regarding that part bc I like to pick and choose things.

And regarding Charlie it's nice to know we are glasses buddy in prescription (mine is only a little bit lower but I also can't drive without glasses, wouldn't even try since I can't see shit without them) but I mostly adopted that HC because of that Minecraft skin of his that don't have glasses.

been thinking about my Splatoon au and went. What If It Was Skizzpulse. bc in the original idea they're just best friends but,,,, I'm in the mood for gay people tonight. also the original au was inspired by rose_kitty's ranchers-centric Splatoon au, which has ex-agent skizz, so..... yeah!

Skizz hasn't been sleeping well.

He doesn't know why.

Actually, that's a lie- he does know why, but he thought he got over it years ago! And yet, he's on his third day with about three hours of sleep in total, having woken up from night terrors he doesn't remember and then being unable to fall back asleep. And just because he doesn't remember them doesn't mean he doesn't know what they were about. Images of dead Octarians and Octolings haunt him on the daily. Even more after he learned they hadn't been attacking of their own free will. His roommate notices, of course. On the first day after the night terrors (re)started, he got some playful teasing from Impulse, who was unaware of why Skizz didn't sleep. On the second, there was genuine concern. And now it's the third day, and Skizz is pretty sure he's about to be subject to an intervention.

This is proven correct when Impulse practically ambushes him when he gets home, drags him to his own bed (his own, not Skizz's(!!! (skizz should probably be feeling less Emotions about this)), forces him to lay down, gets Kevin(bubblesmalonerefrigeratorjimmymadeyedugan(espacitoappleseed)) the mudpuppy to lay on top of him so he can't move, and then asks, "What's up with you?"

For some reason, that's all it takes for Skizz to cave. And, yes, Impulse put aside his own distaste for physical affection in order to cuddle skizz until he fell asleep (and stayed asleep), but no, that did not make Skizz feel any particular way! His hearts did not beat faster at the physical proximity, thank you very much! And he definitely didn't spend the next few days thinking about how caring Impulse is, willing to go through discomfort just to make his friends feel better...

Impulse just listened. He didn't interrupt Skizz, or try and comfort him, just made the appropriate noises when Skizz expected them (he didn't even realise he was expecting them!)

And he slept. Not peacefully, but not fitfully, either. Because every time he woke up, Impulse was drooling by his side and Kevin was lying across his front. He could feel Kevin breathe, or watch Impulse's chest rise and fall. And he fell back asleep, every single time.

How can he not think about it? What did he do to deserve such kindness?

Impulse would probably hit him for thinking that about himself too. Ugh! What a stupid, kind idiot.

poly zits sundial wedding rings. <- I do not ship them but the ring made me think of skizz and ik zits is a pretty popular ship involving him so.

Each of their rooms has a different design on the outside, with a message written by each of them on the rings. It seemed like a nice way to symbiose their love, and to remind themselves of it. Plus, the ring is super fun to spin on a flat surface. Just don't let Impulse hear about any of them doing it...
