He'd be trying all sorts of stuff like making funny faces or litteraly picking you up , but you'd scold him if you loose the thread and he'd look like a kicked puppy :) After you're done you'd hand him a scarf , similar to your house colors so that if he wears it outside it'll blend with the uniform .

He would be all like "i can't wear that out darling" And when you'd ask why he'd say that he's too manly to wear something cutesy like that and that he has an image to maintain . The next day you'd catch him wearing it while he smoked with his friends 🕺🏻

TOM RIDDLE

Mr marvalo has no reaction whatsoever when you hand him the cute crocheted bunny . He'd just nod and put it in his pocket kissing your head . Doesn't utter a single word . He finds it ridiculous - ridiculously cute but he throws the thought as soon as it comes . He'd rather be called a Hufflepuff than admit that he finds something cute coz pfttt?!?

He's a smartass though so he'd make that bunny - a horcrux . It's the first thing you made by yourself and he loves it so dearly that he splits his soul for it , besides who are you kidding no one would suspect a crocheted bunny to be the dark lord's horcrux .

He has a greatt fashion sense (that's something for being an Italian man y'all ) and he absolutely . loves . when you crochet him stuff . You often make him sweaters and gloves and he proudly wears it , his style adding charm to your stuff .

He also boasts it to his friends . Believe it or not he'd kinda have a fashion show upon everyone's request . He'd have a blank face (his resting bitch face) while he walks a straight line towards the couch filled by his friends , showing off the knitted sweater pretending to be a model as you laugh with mattheo . Also makes you stand up at last for credits offcourse.

My guy is in absolute love with you and tries to engage in everything you do so when you gift him a crocheted bouquet , he firstly squeaks like a girl upon recieving it and then tries to make a bouquet for you aswell . Him trying to learn crochet is like a love letter to you .

But in the process of making it , he turns it into a competition 😭😭 when he finshes making it and all your lovey dovey stuff is over he'd joke that his bouquet is better than yours ( it wasn't.) if you haven’t at least tried sewing or crocheting or knitting your own clothes, you really should. even if it’s just one time and you never do it again, i really think everyone should do it at least once

learning how to crochet was what finally made me grasp the abject horror of the fast fashion industry and realize just how laborious and time consuming it is. i have to take a few days off a week so my back/wrists don’t get sore — and i get to do this as a leisure activity in the comfort of my own home, rather than in a sweatshop. it takes dozens of hours to produce a single item. there is just something about trying it yourself that makes you realize just how little the people making our clothes are being paid for retailers to be able to sell clothes at such obscenely low prices.

i understood in the abstract that people were earning literal slave wages to make my clothes, but that concept wasn’t real to me in a way i could understand until i spent 14 hours making something that i myself wouldn’t have even been willing to pay more than $10-20 for if i saw it in a store.

i have not bought any new clothes since learning how to crochet. every time i see clothes at a store (especially obviously handmade items like crochet), and i look at the price tag i feel genuinely sick to my stomach.

i’m not saying everyone needs to make their own clothes in order to be against fast fashion, but what i am saying is if hearing about the conditions and wages secondhand has not been enough to make you stop buying it, if you find yourself becoming desensitized to the suffering of the people who make your things, you should try making something yourself.

you need to see firsthand how physically and mentally demanding it can be and imagine how much worse it would be if you were forced to sit in a sweatshop for 16 hours a day doing it nonstop, earning pennies an hour to do so. you need to spend weeks laboring over something only for it to turn out looking like shit so you realize just how much wisdom and technical skill goes into these supposedly “unskilled” and undervalued jobs. if the abstract concept isn’t enough to get through to you, then you need to get hands on.

The Maestra was a mother figure to her but she didn’t get everything she needed from her. She wasn’t warm enough since Lilia has always been a gentle soul. The hardened, sarcastic exterior she now puts on with new people she adopted because of her Maestra.

Heavy on the survivor’s guilt. For one, because of her coven in Sicily and also because of her witch sister who were killed during the trials, where she managed to get away after being tortured.

In this case, if the son existed in this universe, I believe the vampire Lilia fought and got the scar from turned him and he went on to live with the other vampires since he was afraid he’d hurt his mother if he stayed with her.

She met Stevie Nicks in LA when she and Lindsey were doing small gigs. Lilia had a little crush on her. More on that here

Loves stuff like needlework, knitting, crocheting. Her maestra taught her and it’s her way of remembering and feeling less alone.

The scarf had become a prominent article of clothing of Welt’s that it would become a main staple of his usual outfit, so much so to the point where people would easily recognise it’s absence should he ever take it off. That’s how often he wears it.

Gepard loves the sweaters that you knitted for him and would wear them no matter the weather.

It could be warm as shit and Gepard would still be wearing your sweaters regardless. Not because he felt as though he was expected to wear it, but because it had become his most favoured piece of clothing.

Serval and Lynx would mention about how he never seems to part from the light blue sweater with white snowflake deigns on it, and would ask whether or not this had anything to do with you; only to bear witness their brother’s face become red as a cherry as he attempted to find any excuse that would evade him of any answer all of their teasing.

He fails and his sisters -mainly serval- tease him restlessly for being puddy in your hands.

Gepard was more often seen in his armour due to his job but the moment he gets to be rid of it after a long day, he immeditly puts on the sweater you made for him and let’s out a audible sigh of relief as he then burrows his face into the soft, breathable fabric.

If anyone had asked where he go the sweater from he’d scratch the back of his head and say that the sweater was one of a kind, before adding on that you were the one who made it for him.

Needless to say it didn’t take much for any to know just how much he adored the sweater, from the way he spoke fondly, to the soft caressing the light blue sweater between his thumb and finger. He wasn’t as subtle as he liked to think he was.

The cabin was incredibly warm for the cold winter night; the fireplace roaring with a comfortable fire as a bar held some kebabs over the flames. There was cute old-fashioned Rudolph plate that had some haphazardly-decorated cookies on them; looking like piss-poor excuses of Christmas icons beside your neatly decorated cookies.

Leon was sitting in the rocking chair near the fireplace, his tail slowly turning the kebabs as you sat on the couch with your feet tucked beneath you, your fingers quick yet comfortable as you crocheted. Leon couldn't tell what it was that you were working on, and God help him, he was too shy to ask.

If he had to guess, it looked like the beginnings of a sock...or maybe a hat? Leon's face contorted into a frown as he stared at your hands, and he almost jumped at the sound of your giggles.

Trailing his eyes over your frame, he drank in the sight of you in cute flannel pajama pants that matched his own; a grey ARMY sweatshirt keeping you warm. Leon finally met your gaze, and he hoped that the orange light of the fire hid his blush.

"W-What is it?"

Leon almost cursed, his voice coming out a bit shaky, and you smiled wider, glancing back down at your project and resuming, the yarn sitting in a bowl on the ground jumping and unrolling with every hook and knot you created.

"You look like you're trying to solve a math problem."

Leon was quiet for a moment, trying to figure out what to say as he chose his next words carefully as if saying the wrong thing would spell out disaster for him.

"I'm just...trying to figure out what it is that you're making."

You hummed, taking a break to crack your fingers and stretch the poor extremities out.

"I'm making some sleeves. It's just too cold to not have some extra warmth."

Leon nodded, glancing out the window. It was dark outside, the sun having already disappeared around 5 o'clock, and Leon glanced back at the fireplace to check on the kebabs. He wasn't sure what to say or do, so Leon glanced at you from the corner of his eye, murmuring.

"It's...it's looking great so far."

You smiled at him softly, nodding gently to him, and Leon slowly let out the breath that he was holding before taking a large sip of his hot cocoa. Whipped cream and melted sprinkles coated his nose and upper lip, and before he could wipe it away with his tongue, you giggled at him again.

"You know, you could totally rock some facial hair if you tried to grow it."

Leon couldn't help but to make a face at you, amusement swirling within his chest as you snorted at his expression; hiding behind your sleeve and making his heart drop just slightly.

"No way. I can't really grow facial hair anyway. It's always patchy...besides my chin and upper lip."

Almost reflexively, Leon rubbed his mouth, wiping away the melted cream and sprinkles before glancing at you as you shrugged.

"That's a bummer. I think you'd look great."

Leon couldn't help but to joke back gently as if he was testing waters just like he had in Spain.

"I'd say it's a bummer too...since I'd be letting you down."

You looked up at him fully, looking a bit surprised, and Leon couldn't help but to look away; hitting himself internally for saying something so strange and weird. Instead, his heart began to race and his plagas shivered from within when you responded seriously.

"You could never let me down, Leon. You're handsome with or without the facial hair, and don't let anybody else ever tell you different."

Leon's mouth was slightly agape as he stared at you, and you offered him another smile before going back to work, humming gently to the Christmas songs that were playing on your radio.

Leon couldn't find the words to say; frozen within his seat as he tried to figure out what to do, and he leaned forward a bit before wincing; his wounded pincers scraping against the ground. You glanced at him through the corner of your eye, never once pausing your work as you asked him gently; the man becoming embarrassed again as he seemed to protectively curl in on himself.

"Are they bothering you again?"

"I'll be okay, they're just sore."

You hummed, your tone gentle but expression firm as you set your sleeve down within your lap again.

"That's not what I asked you, Leon. It's okay that you're in pain. You're not going to be in trouble for asking for help, okay?"

Leon was quiet for a moment, staring at you; nostrils flaring as he tried to detect any trace of a lie on reflex before feeling guilty that he even felt the need to search. You, however, were patient; gentle and caring and so fucking angelic that Leon couldn't bare to look at you any longer lest the light of the fire make you truly glow like a real angel that he couldn't help but to worship.

His heart was racing within his chest, lips becoming a bit dry, and Leon closed his eyes for a moment; calming his pounding heart, and he whispered softly as his chest suddenly tightened again and his limbs tried to curl in on themselves.

"I...I don't want to...to bother you."

You slowly slid off of the couch and walked to Leon, his eyes hyperaware of your movements, and you sat down on the ground in front of him, gently grasping his hands within yours as you looked up at him.

"Leon, you are never going to be a bother. You need help and that's okay. I know those scientists...the sergeants...the missions themselves...they all made you think that accepting help was weakness, and that's not true."

Leon was awestruck as you squeezed his hands gently before you gestured to his pincers and tail.

"This? This isn't weird to me. This isn't something to be ashamed of. What happened to you was unfair and it was terrible, and they didn't even bother to help despite having the means to. You were taken advantage of, and that's unforgiveable...and most certainly isn't your fault. What happened in Raccoon...in Spain...it wasn't your fault. You were just trying to help."

There were tears festering within his eyes, wetting his eyelashes and cheeks, and you sat up, tucking his head into your shoulder as Leon began to cry; holding you close to him like a lifeline as your words echoed through his mind.

It was one thing to tell something to yourself like a mantra over and over with hopes that one day while looking in the mirror, you would suddenly believe it. However, to hear someone say the words that he had needed to hear for years that didn't sound fake and rehearsed but were truly meant?

It broke him down like a goddamn skyscraper and bore his heart completely out of the ashes.

Leon was clutching you close as he cried into your shoulder, your sweatshirt becoming damp, and you gently rocked him back and forth; running your fingers through his hair soothingly. No matter how hard he tried, Leon couldn't steady his breathing, and when he began to hyperventilate, you pulled away.

Leon chased after you, but stopped when you took your sweatshirt off. His eyes widened slightly, his eyes raking over your skin as you adjusted your tank top before grabbing his hand and placing it right over his chest. In turn, you placed your hand on his chest, placing his other hand over yours.

You gazed into his eyes as Leon stared at you in awe, his fingers flexing slightly against your soft skin as you said to him softly, instructing.

"Feel my heartbeat, Leon. Feel the way that I breathe. I want you to match that with me, okay?"

Leon couldn't answer, and he closed his eyes to concentrate. With every rise of your chest, with every beat from your heart, Leon followed. He followed after you like you were the light at the end of the tunnel; clumsy and stumbling his way towards that relief.

He wasn't aware of his pincers wrapping around you as well, his tail curling around your ankle, and his fingers that were cupping your hand became soft; almost as if he would break you if he clutched too hard.

His blue eyes slowly opened, gazing into yours as you stared at him with a soft expression. Your voice was a whisper, but to Leon, it sounded as if you had yelled it from the mountaintops for all of the world to hear.

"I'm right here, Leon. I'm not going anywhere, okay?"

There was an urge within him; a desperate yearning to feel your lips against his and to take refuge within them; within your body, and he felt ashamed. Leon felt ashamed that he wanted to curl himself up inside of you to hide away from the world, and he swallowed thickly, whispering back with uncertainty.

"But what if I do? What if I lose control?"

"I'll pick you up and lift you back out of the snow again."

Leon looked up at you, and he shook his head before leaning down, resting his head onto your shoulder, whispering brokenly.

"I don't deserve this...I don't understand...why...why you're so kind to me."

"It would be wrong of me to judge you...when I know how you're feeling."

Leon didn't realize what those words had meant at the time; thinking that it was just a way to relate to him so he could feel more at ease, and Leon was comforted by the feeling of you resting your head against his own.

"If you're up for it, why don't we eat our cookies and put on some Rudolph on the projector...and maybe I can give you your Christmas present early?"

Leon was surprised, lifting his head from your shoulder.

"You..you have a present for me?"

You nodded before winking at him, wiping the remaining wetness on his cheeks away before standing to refill his cup of cocoa.

"I absolutely do. It's just not done yet."

You giggled and Leon realized with a start that the crochet project you were working on...it was for him. Whatever it was that you'd been working on for the last half hour...it was his. Leon felt emotional again, but instead of crying again, he smiled instead.

When was the last time he had received a Christmas present like this?

"I...I don't know what to say."

You shrugged, smiling kindly at him as you sprayed whipped cream into his cup, grabbing the rainbow sprinkles and a cherry for on top.

"You don't have to say anything. Though, can you do me a favor?"

"Anything."

His response was almost immediate, a seriousness coming over him, and you pointed to the fireplace with a wince.

"Can you throw those out?"

Leon cursed as the smell of burnt food met his nose, and he spun to the fireplace where the charred kebabs were burning. Leon felt apologetic as he carefully took the kebabs off of the spit and tossed them out the window. Glancing back at you, you both shared a look of silence before you hummed.

"You know what? I think I'm okay with pizza."

Leon couldn't help but to chuckle at you before asking shyly.

"Can I help?"

Your eyes lit up with excitement, melting the ice around his heart a little more as you nodded.

"Absolutely! Come along, little grasshopper! I have many things to show you!"

As you bustled around the kitchen, grabbing the ingredients that you would need to make homemade pizza, Leon stood there in the living room for a moment; just watching you with a smile.

He was starting to feel human again.

just how some of my favorite karasuno boys & girl would be dating a crafter. pls be nice this is literally my first time writing and posting a fic! (title says knit/crochet but it could really mean any fiber craft; weaving, tatting, filet, macrame, felting, whatever you want!)

with daichi, sugawara, asahi, nishinoya, tanaka tsukishima, hinata, kageyama, and shimizu (sorry no yachi or yamaguchi no beef i just simply do not care about them)

daichi

-daichi's the captain of a volleyball team, so he understands what it's like to pour time and energy into something you care about

-so he definitely respects you for spending time building your skills and working on projects

-if you make him something, he'll appreciate all the work that went into it, but I don't see him wearing things unless it's practical like a winter hat/scarf/sweater etc.

-daichi probably wouldn't join you in making things but would definitely be down for helping you out

-winding yarn, untangling things, grabbing you tools (winding yarn is such a pain, he's an angel for that)

suga

-might lowkey want to steal your hobby

-suga would pick it up either because he's really invested in your interests or because he thinks the craft itself is cool

-listen i love tsukishima but he's going to care the least out of everyone

-he thinks of it just as a hobby (like volleyball is to him)

-i see him being the type to enjoy spending time together but doing your own thing, so if you wanna craft, fine by him

-you guys can hang out and listen to music and you'll work on a project while he studies or reads

-if you make him something, he won't turn it down, but he also won't display/wear something homemade (unless it's basically a store-quality sweater he can machine wash. asshole)

hinata

-like nishinoya, he would be excited to receive anything you make for him and show it off to his teammates (definitely uses it to brag to kageyama about his s/o)

-would wear something you made for him all the time, and feel absolutely devastated if he loses or ruins it because he knows how much time went into it

-hinata will shamelessly distract you from a project just because he wants a kiss that very moment and can't wait

-i feel like he's too high energy to try and learn to craft with you since it takes patience and focus

-he might not understand how you like it so much, since it's not as exhilarating and active as volleyball (totally ignorant of how much skill, time, and concentration it takes)

-totally cool with it if you bring your wips to watch him practice and even play in games

-i feel like he would get a lil nervous hanging out with you alone, so if you have something to focus on and means avoiding eye contact, you'll save him lots of embarrassment!

-only after being in a relationship for a while does he realize how much time it takes to finish a product, and suddenly feels guilty about losing hats/scarves/whatever you've made for him (before he was just like oops)(lol)

shimizu

-she's gonna be outspokenly supportive of and interested in your hobbies, especially if you're one to show up and cheer alongside her at karasuno's games

-totally cool with it if you bring your craft tools on dates/to hang out, and enjoys calmly watching you work

-super perceptive, and like asahi, she will notice any hair/eyelashes that get into your project while you work

-i can even see her asking you for lessons, at first to spend time together, and then actually becoming very skilled and producing complicated and beautiful items

30 Days of G/t Self Care

I'm not fully sure where this idea came from, but here we go! I do enjoy a fun little daily challenge, and like most things my mind went to “but how can I make it G/t?” And here we are! Just in time for the new year, a 30 day self care challenge but… sizey. I wanted to make an actual calendar thing, just in time for the new year (though it can be started at any time, it's not specific to January). Check the days off, spread them out over a longer time, pick out just the ones that speak to you, whatever you want to do 😊 Here's the guide to go with it.

Day 1. Set aside a few minutes to take some deep breaths and focus on the present moment. To help ground yourself, perhaps wrap yourself in a blanket and imagine you are in a large, lovingly grasping hand, or hold a small item and imagine it's a tiny friend.

Day 2. Revisit some nostalgic G/t media. What first got you into this? Let yourself reminisce and remember why you love this in the first place.

Day 3. Make G/t art. It can be anything! Drawing, writing, crochet, pottery, you name it. No need to hold yourself to a certain standard or show anyone else, just take some time to be creative. Even if you don't deem yourself an artist, give it a shot and see if you enjoy it!

Day 4. Relax with a word search puzzle. I made a G/t themed one for you right here!

Day 5. Try out this journal prompt. If you could be tiny/big at will, what types of things would you do to relax? How might you extrapolate from this and apply it to your real life?

Day 6. Stretch your body today. What imaginary setting could you give yourself to make it G/t? Are you surrounded by gigantic furniture in your mind’s eye? Perhaps the yoga video on your phone helps you pretend you have a tiny instructor?

Day 7. Listen to some G/t music. This could be anything, from sizey music videos to songs with sizey lyrics to the Arietty soundtrack.

Day 8. Practice gratitude by listing out all the little things you're thankful for. (See what I did there?) Add some big things to the list for good measure.

Day 9. Practice stepping out of your comfort zone a little bit by talking about G/t, out loud if you’re able. Whether it's discussing with a friend (you brave soul), recording yourself on your phone (you can immediately delete it), or just mumbling to yourself in the shower. Maybe you’ll realize you want to make a G/t podcast and we all win!

Day 10. Here's a little creative prompt. Arrange everyday items to make a G/t scene (use toys, miniatures, or even fashion a tiny person out of paperclips or paper). Take a picture, share it if you like!

Day 11. Create a cozier space today to enjoy your G/t content. Grab some blankets, make yourself a snack or some tea, light some candles, whatever sounds nice to you. Sometimes it's making a mundane moment special!

Day 12. Make yourself something healthy to eat. While you prepare it, imagine how different the task might be to carry out if you were very big or very small. Maybe even have some fun making your snack in miniature too.

Day 13. Try out some affirmations today and see if you can make them both sizey and relevant to your life. Ideas of mantras could be “I am allowed to take up space,” “I choose to appreciate the little things today,” “I will achieve great things through small steps.”

Day 14. Go out into nature for some fresh air. Lean in close and pay attention to the small details, perhaps imagining a shrunken version of yourself or a small friend exploring.

Day 15. Challenge yourself to learn a new skill today to bring your Gt ideas to life. Maybe it's learning how to code, or making your own VR avatar, or learning a new art tool or technique. It's finally time to watch that tutorial you've been saving! 

Day 16. Pull out your dream journal, or start up a new one! Maybe we’ll figure out the whole lucid dreaming thing and come close to experiencing Gt, wouldn't that be the dream~ If this doesn't resonate with you, maybe start a journal to jot down your Gt daydreams instead!

Day 17. Relax with a crossword puzzle. I made a G/t themed one for you right here!

Day 18. Try to cross a few to dos off your to do list someday. Make it more fun by adding in some joke tasks in there, like “leave out a snack for the fairies” or “prep for borrowing trip tonight” or “meet with giant friend for coffee.” Maybe even schedule some real life Gt tasks - such as “work on chapter 2 of (Gt story you're writing)” or “plan a VRC hangout”.

Day 19. It's time to dress the part! Is there any way you can dress up or accessorize yourself in a sizey way? Maybe you have an oversized hoodie, or a necklace of a tiny Eiffel tower, or an old shirt with Tinkerbell on it. Did you know you can actually buy Arietty’s giant hair clip thing? Or if this better scratches your creative itch, maybe your objective is to make tiny accessories for a toy or figurine.

Day 20. Take some time to rest. Just allow yourself to lay down in a quiet, cozy setting for at least a few minutes and have some dedicated G/t daydreaming. 

Day 21. Try out a new exercise routine and use your G/t imaginings to make it more fun. Watching a new workout video? You’re a giant visiting the gym and that's your human instructor on the screen. Spontaneous dance session in your room? You're a fairy frolicking in a field of enormous wildflowers. Going for a swim? You're actually crossing a vast ocean, or maybe a small glass of water.

Day 22. Check out a new G/t story. Not a big reader normally? Just give it a shot!

Day 23. Give yourself a pamper night, whatever that means for you - face masks, cucumber water, a warm drink, candles, the works. Pamper night (face masks and stuff)

Day 24. Make or buy something for your G/t interests (miniatures or toys, “max”iature like a giant flower pillow, fairy-themed stationary, make a giant paper mache strawberry, etc)

Day 25. Relax with a coloring page. You can use any of your favorite artist’s lineart (just make sure to get permission and/or proper attribution if you want to post it). Here's an example option from me.

Day 26. Make a list of all the things you love about G/t. It's always nice to remember the various ways this interest might benefit our lives.

Day 27. Motivate yourself to try out a new hobby by making it G/t. Take that pottery class you've been meaning to take and make a giant acorn-shaped mug. Get into cosplay so you can dress up as a borrower. Dabble with watercolors and you may end up becoming a G/t artist. Study a new language and enjoy new sizey media you couldn't understand before. Whatever speaks to you! 

Day 28. Do a favor for your future self and make a self care kit for when you're having a hard time. This could include a journal or affirmation cards, or perhaps some grounding items like fidget toys, stress balls and mints. Add a little something G/t in there too. Perhaps some kind of miniature with an interesting texture, or a fidget toy in the shape of a person, or a stuffed animal of a giant ladybug to hug. 

Day 29. An act of kindness can do wonders for our mental health. Send someone in the G/t community a kind comment today, whether it's a long-time friend, someone you just met in a Discord group, or a comment to your favorite G/t artist. 

Day 30. Reflect on all the activities you’ve tried during this self care challenge and journal about it. What have you learned about yourself? What might you incorporate more into your self care routines going forward? Pat yourself on the back for investing some time and attention into yourself - you deserve it!
