hello, it’s me again, calling with another creloise au. have you given thought to dancer!cressida perhaps? maybe ballerina!cressida? she’s grown up forced to meet impossible standards so she’s hard to the world around her and then suddenly she meets nerdy loser eloise, who feels like she’s the disappointment of her family, and cressida for the first time in her whole life is taught to view the world with a colorful lense, with a new softness, with more humor because eloise is a free-spirit who teachers her there more to life than all the impossible goals she’s always been forced to spend all her energy on. in turn cressida helps give eloise direction so that she feels a little less lost in her own life.

underrated friendship duo, that would have been so cool to explore in the show but alas: Cressida and Simon. They actually have a lot in common:

1. They both had shitty, cold childhoods with a father who made them feel like they're disappointments. Simon had Lady Danbury and that is why he's warmer than Cressida, who only had her mother who is also toxic like her father, but they both know what parental neglect feels like

2. They both kept people at a distance, Simon by being a rake and also aloof, Cressida by being mean and cruel.

3. They both become obsessed with someone challenges them, but is also warm, Eloise and Daphne (ignoring the rapey stuff with Daphne)

4. edit bc @saintdollyparton made an excellent point: They're also both hot and tall and in love with a Bridgerton sister.

I would have loved to see them interact and actually be like 'oh we're similar, lets be friends" and Daphne and Eloise are both like "wtf??" but then they're like "ah you got adopted by this cat proceed"

Guys....creloise notting hill au

actress!cressida who's a former child star trying to break into her serious actor era but people only define her by her wild scandals in her late teens/early 20s. The whole world thinks they know her but she doesn't even know herself. She's stuck in the mold her parents made for her when she meets bookshop owner!eloise.

bookshop owner!eloise is clumsy, charming, and disarmingly earnest. She grew up well in a loving family but she never quite fit the mold of what the bridgertons were supposed to be. She's struggling to make sense of what she wants in her life post-divorce and is living with her idiot roommate/favourite older brother benedict when she meets cressida.

All this to say that I wanna see them do the dinner fighting for the brownie scene, trying to one up each other with who's had a more tragic life so far. Also the "I'm just a girl, standing in front of a girl, asking her to love me." and the press conference "Indefinitely." scenes ofc.

Please tell me someone else sees the vision. 😂

Summary:

“What’s a stunning thing like you doing here?” And at first, it’s just the terror of being caught somewhere she’s not supposed to be. She would have played it cool, but her fingers have frozen on the zipper and her eyes… her eyes are on the most vicious looking angel she’s ever seen her life.

Pale blonde tumbling hair shining in what little moonlight there is peaking through trees and there’s… something red on her chin, eyes black but it must just be the darkness, and that red on her chin litters across the whiteness of her very old looking dress. She briefly registers that the wailing in the distance has stopped, but her eyes cannot move from the commanding presence of the woman in front of her.

Fanfic Idea for Creloise

Cressida is a single mom to twins. She’s also a very well known actress in the acting industry and model. Eloise is very well known screenwriter and director and former actress . Somehow neither of them have ever met nor worked on any projects somehow.

Enter Francesca who is a well-known broadway actress and music director. She is Cressida’s best friend. Having met Cressida her freshman year at NYCDA. It didn’t occur to Francesca to ever introduce Cressida to her older siblings (given all her older siblings were somewhere else in the world) so only Gregory and Hyacinth ever met and spent time with Cressida.

Anyways, Fran is babysitting the twins when Eloise decides to visit her in New York (Eloise was currently living in Canada with Benedict, having moved out of London where she had been living with Colin and Penelope until she had a falling out with Penelope and Colin having taking Penelope’s side) and takes her by surprise.

Eloise and Francesca were in the middle of a conversation when the sound of the front door opening and the sound of voices catches their attention.

“ Auntie Cissy!!” the sound of familiar voices has Francesca turning around, anticipating the familiar sound of tiny pitter-patter footsteps rushing towards her. She kneels, her arms out ready to catch the little bodies that she knows will fling themselves onto her. She chuckles when they do exactly that. Each twin wrapping their little legs on each side of her hips, as she did a quick twirl earning her the sweet sound of child laughters, ringing all over the house.

“ Hi my sun and star!” She greets them, pressing a kiss on their white blonde hairs.

Eloise is there dumbstruck because who the hell are those children? Given that she knows that none of their other siblings are in New York right now especially the ones with kids. So these kids calling her sister “ Aunt Cissy” (a nickname that Hyacith had called Fran when she was baby and couldn’t properly say Fran’s name) and Fran actually responding to it has her thrown off the loop.

She learns about Cressida aka Fran’s mysterious friend. And she has not the best reaction when she learns that her little sister’s best friend is the woman who had made her former best friend, Penelope’s life a living hell in high school. But then Eloise being Eloise actually gets intrigued about Cressida. She knows that Cressida has made it big in the acting industry and knows her name, has kinda stalked her once or twice once before curious to know about the blonde for some reason.
