Doc really acting like it’s cause of the Minecraft movie trailer he’s being headcannoned as fluffy, not like the fandom has portrayed him as furry/fluffy for years now…

You know how there are cheetas that need dogs for their anxiety? That's what Ren is for Doc but creeper and wolf version.
Creepers are prone to exploding at the slightest hint of danger, which tends to manifest as paranoia or anxiety in hybrids. Therefore, therapy RenDog!

Listen, i hate the new minecraft trailer as much as everyone else does.
However. They added furr to the creepers. FURR. Yk. Like fanartists do whenever they draw creeper hybrids (ex: doc or sam). Now listen, i know they didn't actually look at fanart for inspo... But the possibility of that happening is so fucking funny.
Also, that technically means furry creepers are just cannon now apparently. All those silly fanarts of fluffy doc? Canonically accurate now. Congrats to any fanartists who drew creepers this way, yall r blessed by Apollo apparently.
Im sorry but i genuinely think this is so fucking hilarious
(Or maybe im just sleep deprived, who cares)

Finalized design for my version of Etho for hermitcraft s10!
Warning long infodump ahead about the decisions made and general lore
So I've had this idea that redstone is like uranium. Powerful, can be used for energy + various machinery and scientific discoveries, used to increase the value of the everyday lives (uranium girls ref) but with the major cause of life deletion/life altering affects. I believe that it would cause more mutations within redstoners over the course of time they are exposed to it and the varying degree that they're covered in it. But redstone is a fairly new resource that has been discovered in the world of minecraft/hermitcraft. So the research behind it isn't as strong nor as known as it should be. Therefore every effect that happens to the pioneers of redstone is completely new and unheard of. Which might be the reason why some builders like Grian, Scar, Ren, Gem, etc are hesitant to fully learn redstone mechanics due to the unknown nature of it but still aren't fully opposed because of the benefits it has.
In my world of hermitcraft for season 10 it's built off of the fact that there's quite a few people leaning into that cybery, technological, sci-fi theme. Like the Punks, then Ren's Gigaverse and of course the nature of Doc in general. So the main story is that this world of hc2410 is that it's a world that was much similar to earth. It went through the usual set of technological feats bit by bit, culture by culture.
For a long time their main power source which fueled everything was glowstone, a semi renewable material exported from the Nether and harvested from blazes and the blaze rods. Blaze rods were grinded down then compressed into glass like bilets which were then heated, strained, and forged into various forms that were needed. For a while it was small 2x2 inch cubes mainly used in lamps and later 6x6 foot cubes for lighthouses. But as the age of the iron wore on, technology looked much like the era of the vacuum tubes.
Thus began the swap of simplified forms of glowstone into the complexities of tubes and the requirement of more materials and longer time to create these specialized parts. Though that didn't stop what pioneers were part of that era, these guys being Etho, Tango, Doc, and Mumbo. Now these guys were very basic hybrids, Etho an arctic fox, Tango a nether born blaze, Doc whom was a rare specices of creeper, and Mumbo who was actually just a human. It took long and multiple days worth of work to even produce what would be a 4 part machine in modern redstone technology with glowstone. Though these guys were at this point young and determined to optimize their creations.
Glowstone in itself was a relatively safe material to work with unless of course consumed, if consumed it would wear down the lining of the stomach, cause holes in the intestines, and heat the user to an unbearable degree akin to the infamous iron bull method of torture except it was your insides and only your insides being subjected to it. To the person that found this out would never be credited and largely forgotten in most history records. Mainly because he died such a painful death and most didn't want to remember it. So when Etho was working on the mines with his crew and discovered redstone there was a guess and perhaps a hope that it would be as safe as glowstone. Therefore safety percautions that were used with materials like obsidian and diamond were thrown out the window. Instead it was instantly collected into glass cylinders and brought back to the workshop to be played around with.
Thus the reason why for most parts of hc2410 many will be seen with previous and malfunctioning innovations or straight up tech from the glowstone era. One of these people is Mumbo who still uses comms from the glowstone era as a way to keep his small hometown economy running because any way to help Big Ron was a win in his book. Pearl is also another example user of older innovations or at least less redstone heavy variations. Rather going into the world of solar, and botany side of technology dubbed leafstone. Other variations of older innovations would also have to be old port towns who used wind and small hydroplants to keep their town running and connected with the rest of the world such as Gem's & Grian's hometown.
With Etho being the main guy who really played around with it and pretty much like at it like ate it like it was sugar was thee very first to experience the mutational effect of redstone. At first his left eye would begin to flicker with rapid involuntary movement, then followed a set of what would be dubbed "chromatic abberation" (etho would be the only one to experience this and no one can confirm what he saw was accurate due to the mental state he was in), and the onset of vision loss. But this wasn't the first and last effect, he would begin to develop a second tail and unusual pelt coloring akin to the color of the newfound material. Much like the later steps of his changes the second tail development was not a pain free one. As the months continued his mental state worsened, this was due to the psychoactive effects of redstone and already altered vision. He would begin to see things that weren't there in a translucent red glow often accompanied by intense localized migraines behind the left eye. It would get so intense and unbearable that in the middle of developing the infamous etho hopper clock he began to claw at his left eye but the fingernails weren't enough and instead used a screwdriver to try to get it out. However Doc and Tango would find Etho moments before a prosthetic eye would take the permanent place of a redstone scarred eye.
Although Etho did wear a mask during the initial stages of redstone development and technology it wouldn't be enough against the sheer intake the 4 went through. Therefore under the careful guise of Xisumavoid, who'd later become the main caretaker/medic and manager, and Doc they would make several changes to how redstone was regulated. Making a mandate that all personnel, consumer, mechanic, and who ever else would have to wear a respirator and gloves during the usage of redstone. You'd think this would be easy to get the crew to swap into using respirators at the very least but it was met with much hesitation and backlash due to the blukiness that came with them. It was already tough to pack around the canisters of redstone, glowstone tubes, and iron baseplates and now they also had to squeeze into tight spaces with a clunky mess? But again Doc and Xisuma found ways to make sure that each member found a way to have their own variation of resperation based upon needs. It wasn't too hard to make one for Etho because he already had a mask but his stubbornness rivaled Doc, and took a near fatal pass out due to lack of blood production, aka just more extreme anemia, and bloody nose to convince Etho to finally add that respirator onto his mask.
Despite however the apparent dangers of redstone it sent the world of hc2410 into a new world of technology seemingly overnight, from clunky 60s-70s style tan and heavy clunk switches into an age more similar to thin touch panels and streamlined designs of now but with the flair of the iconic synthwave/cyberpunk style deemed by the 80s-90s. Yet it was met with strife due to how time consuming redstone was even with several engineers helping out on one project and most innovations were only available to the richest before being thrown out for the latest and greatest.
Also you may recall, if you've made it to this point, that I mentioned that the 4 were basic hybrids. Well much like Etho the effects on the rest weren't simple nor painless, and varied quite differently from each other. But those will be covered once their designs are finished.
I thank you if you've made it this far and I'll see you on the next hermitaday posts! :3
Edit: I also want to include that one of the main design inspos is actually Snakeyes from Gi Joe because that man is absolute gender to me. So why not combine my two favorite guys into one character.
Edit #2: Added more text breaks bc I no longer have 5 am involuntary eye movement. Which is odd because you'd think I'd need more text breaks but it's the opposite.

Hermitcraft/life series zombie apocalypse au based on this post by @saphushia (reblogs irrelevant I just wasn't bothered to find the original post)
This is Doc's journal. He's keeping track of everything he knows about everyone. What they're good at, what they're not good at, can he help them with that? As to why his name is marked ??, it's been so long he doesn't remember. Some of them have their real names marked down because he already knew them before the apocalypse, some of them are because he heard them screamed when their loved ones thought they were dead. He won't talk about those. Not talking about his patients helps him cope with the ones that have died.
Ladders
Named Ladders because of his knowledge of every single ladder in the city.
Real name: Etho
Species: Arctic fox
Skills: Knows the city inside and out. Agility. High stamina. Night vision.
Hindrances: Blind in right eye. Issues with breathing.
Notes: Ladders is constantly wearing a gas mask, even though we've confirmed the virus is not airborne. He tends to run ladder to ladder, rather than any sane method of transport.
Stitches
Named Stitches for their skill in first aid, particularly stitches.
Real name: Cleo
Species: Human?
Skills: Physical strength. Good at first aid. Smooth talker.
Hindrances: Low stamina.
Notes: Stitches seems more tired lately. We think they might've been bitten...
Gemini
Named Gemini for her ability to get from one place to another as if she was already in both places.
Real name: Taylor
Species: Fox?
Skills: Close-range combat. High stamina. Night vision. Speed.
Hindrances: Long-range combat.
Notes: Gemini and Pearl are very close. Possibly siblings?
Impulse
Named Impulse for his extremely impulsive behaviour.
Real name: ??
Species: ??
Skills: Long-range combat. High stamina. Night vision.
Hindrances: Empathy. Impulsive. Insomnia.
Notes: Impulse appears human, but I've seen him when he thinks he's alone, and I... Don't know what he is, and I don't think I want to.
Skizz
Real name: ??
Species: ??
Skills: Smooth talker. Combat. Night vision.
Hindrances: Empathy. Low stamina.
Notes: See Impulse.
Beans
Real name: Joel
Species: Tanuki
Skills: Smooth talker. Combat. Night vision. High stamina.
Hindrances: Attachment to Shadow. Ego.
Notes: N/A
Pearl
Real name: ??
Species: Moth
Skills: Flight. Night vision.
Hindrances: Insomnia.
Notes: Pearl and Gemini are very close. Possibly siblings? Pearl has expressed disinterest in romance.
Grian
Real name: ??
Species: Avian?
Skills: Smooth talker. Combat. Night vision. Flight.
Hindrances: Struggle with sudden change. Attachment to Scar. Insomnia. Can be a control freak.
Notes: Grian appears to be a parrot hybrid, but he has also hinted at other hybrid features. And he definitely should not have such good night vision.
Bdubs
Real name: ??
Species: tbc
Skills: Knives. Speed. Camouflage. Finding/setting up bases.
Hindrances: Empathy. Long-range combat. Low stamina. Constant injuries.
Notes: Bdubs is some kind of moss creature. We just don't know what it's called. He is also a walking accident, with a concerning amount of scars and scrapes all over him. Not to mention the black eye that never seems to go away.
Scar
Named Scar for the slew of scars practically covering his body. He chose it himself.
Real name: Ryan
Species: Vex
Skills: Smooth talker. Combat. Night vision.
Hindrances: Empathy. Low stamina. Impulsive. Unpredictable. Mobility issues. Overworks himself.
Notes: Scar claims he's fine, but we've all seen him stumble over nothing and continue to run with a heavy limp. He leans against the walls a lot, and holds on when he thinks we're not looking.
Tango
Real name: ??
Species: Blazeborn
Skills: Smooth talker. Explosives. Computers.
Hindrances: Empathy. Insomnia. Water.
Notes: Tango can't get wet. Due to his species, even a single drop of water touching his skin puts him at risk of hypothermia.
Doc
Real name: ??
Species: Creeper, goat
Skills: Medical. Physical strength. Low empathy. Speaks German. (According to everyone else, that's a skill. I don't see why it's useful. Zombies don't speak German.)
Hindrances: Low empathy. Insomnia. Survivor's guilt. Aggressive. Impulsive.
Notes: I'm the person everyone comes to for medical stuff. Sure, Gem and Stitches can do it in an emergency, but they can't do big things. Doc misses Ren more than he likes to admit. He won't say it himself, but he pretends he's still alive sometimes. He talks to him.
Shadow
Named Shadow for her ability to hide. It's almost like she becomes a shadow.
Real name: Lizzie
Species: Human?
Skills: Smooth talker. Combat. Aggressive. Confidence. Camouflage.
Hindrances: Empathy. Aggressive. Impulsive. Insomnia.
Notes: N/A
Solidarity
Real name: Jimmy
Species: Avian
Skills: Physical strength. High stamina. Flight.
Hindrances: Combat. Unpredictable.
Notes: N/A
Major
Real name: Scott
Species: Human?
Skills: Smooth talker. Combat. Physical strength. High stamina.
Hindrances: Empathy. Insomnia.
Notes: N/A
Author's notes: I'm not saying empathy is inherently bad, just that those people have trouble killing things because of it. And Doc having low empathy both as a positive and a negative is for that same reason. He has no trouble killing, but he has trouble reassuring his patients.
Pearl is aromantic. She just doesn't have a word for it. That's what the 'Pearl has expressed disinterest in romance' comment is referencing.
Anything on Doc's profile in blue is because he refused to write it himself and someone else put it in. Likely Cl- Stitches.
Anyone without a reason for their name is just that. They don't really have one, or at least, not one anyone remembers.

How did mother spore meet her lovely hubby?
Tumblr media
@whatmoredoyouwangfromme
again, my eng aint that great so if there's any confusion, ask me and i'll clear it up as best as i can ^^;
---
so doc's a creeper and goat hybrid that is being kept alive by machinery. (why? idk yet lol. maybe bc he fought god or he exploded before idk)
He left his hometown in search of some place else to live in (why? again, the author is just incompetent at making up stories ><)
He set sail in a boat and ended up crashing into mother spore's island. Mother immediately sensed him and thought it was a HEP agent. He went to check out what happened only to find doc lamenting about his ruined ship. And mother is immediately intrigued.
he's never seen someone like doc before. A creeper and goat hybrid? the very idea is laughable to mother. But here doc stands, trying to salvage what was left of his ship.
Mother is even more intrigued of doc when it seems that her mycelium and fungus doesn't affect doc at all.
like i said, doc's half cyborg, so whatever machinery that's keeping him alive also disintegrates any bacteria- or in this case, mycelium spores from entering his system. Making him fully immune to mother spore's influence.
So, mother spore decided to play around with doc to test his abilities. She would make the mushrooms on her island shift and move around, confusing doc about his whereabouts (and also making sure doc doesn't get close to the mansion).
Then, she would send out her sporelings to play tricks with doc by placing traps. (the sporelings and mother would remain unseen by doc throughout all this)
but doc's a smart guy. Doc would stop trusting his surroundings and instead count his steps to determine where he is and make sure he doesnt get lost. He's also getting better at recognizing if there's a trap laid out for him and disarming them.
Mother would then get more and more frustrated by doc outsmarting him but at the same time very impressed by doc actually surviving and adapting on his island.
the sporelings would then get careless with making sure doc doesn't see them and one day, doc caught ren.
Doc saw ren wagging his tail while laying down traps and he picked ren up like a kitten, surprising both ren and mother. Mother was about to charge in and kill doc but stop bc doc just placed ren back down, letting him run away.
now, mother spore is even more curious about doc.
slowly, doc uncovered all the sporelings one by one.
and with every sporeling he caught, the closer to the mansion mother would allow him to get.
then one day, doc got to the mansion and mother spore is in front of it, waiting to give doc a final test.
Mother spore invites doc into the mansion for tea but doc politely declines, knowing the moment he set foot into the mansion, he would instantly become a dead man.
And mother spore was like "smart and polite. I like you." and let him leave the island scot-free.
But doc doesn't leave. Well, he would occasionally, to get supplies but he would always return to the island.
The sporelings would then get comfortable around doc and started to actually really like him and accept him as a part of their mushroom family.
mother and doc would also bond with each other and get really close. But each time mother invites him in for tea, doc would still decline.
until one day, when mother invites doc in for tea again, doc actually accepted.
Doc can't get infected by the mycelium, but mother made sure the food and drinks he gave doc that day weren't laced with mycelium anyways.

Xisuma has autism and well, grian made everyone a halloween sweater, and the wool is bugging Xisuma, making him itchy.
Xisuma stays quiet about it, not wanting to hurt his adopted brothers feelings, but doc sees xisuma as close to a mental breakdown and gets the sweater off.
Grian will make his older brother a new one that is softer for xisuma, and so the Doc doesn't go into overprotective creeper hybrid boyfriend mode again damn he is scary when he is mad.
Xisuma makes sure Doc stands down, because it's not Grian's fault! There was no way he could've known, and X didn't tell Grian... This is on Xisuma and he takes that responsibility!
But he does also love the new, soft jumper Grian makes. And he figures out wearing a thin shirt under the old one makes it bearable!
Doc prefers snuggling up to the new one, though.

sibling love
Evo!Jimmy: Guys, I have a question.
Evo!Grian: kys <3
Evo!Jimmy: I love you too.
??: Ah, yes. Siblings.
Really short, this is my last week of semester 1 at school, so everythings a bit busy rn
Words; 187
~~
Everyone sat in the Evo meeting room, which was an issue since the meeting room was only made to hold the members of Evo, not just the six strangers.
Grian was sat at the end of the table, multiple admin panels open as they tried to figure out how the hermits were getting home. “So.. what you're saying is that once the time is up we should just be teleported home.?” Doc asked, the cyborg-creeper hybrid squished into a corner.
“Yes,” Grian responded, not looking up. The hermits had noticed that Grian wasn’t that interested in them.. At all. This was understandable, as they were strangers who could threaten his players.
Shuffling could be heard, as the canary hybrid, Jimmy (Aka. Grian’s twin.) raised his hand. “I have a question… I don’t get it.” They all looked at Jimmy, who in turn ducked his head down awkwardly at all the attention. “Gri.?” he mumbled again.
“Kill yourself.” He responded, looking up to make a heart shape with his hands at his twin brother.
“Ahh.. i love you too..” He sighed in defeat.
“Ah.. siblings.” Gem hummed, giggling.

Tango saw red.
He did! Promise!
And Tango didn’t mean that he saw red in the metaphorical way, like people often claim to when they are very angry, though, well– he supposed that interpretation wasn’t necessarily wrong either, but still! He was furious and stressed, and he was having to pierce his tongue with his fanged teeth to bite back the long string of swears threatening to escape his lips.
Ugh, why did Grian insist that they attempt to stay PG while playing a death game?
He knew the answer, but that didn’t mean he cared for it, but Tango tried his best to not argue and abide by them anyway. It was a small price to pay to be included.
Tango was a blazeborn, and because of his heritage, his vision literally became tinted with red the more extreme his emotions became. Doc theorized that it was something related to how red his eyes were, but seeing how very few blazeborns even attempted to live a full life away from the nether and their birth Pyre, there was little information on them in the overworld, and the goat-creeper hybrid hadn’t gotten around to attempting in-depth research on blazeborn anatomy or culture before getting to know Tango.
Anger simmered violently in his stomach, threatening to boil over as he tried (and failed) to manage his stress and frustration. Everything seemed to be going wrong for him, and it was all piling up, and he wasn’t sure how much longer he could tolerate it all! His hair grew in both size and temperature as he stalked away from his murder snail and complained about the actions of others. Even while actively moving and talking, it was difficult to think clearly, difficult to focus!
The extra energy and adrenaline that pumped through his veins were the result of territorial instincts every blaze had ingrained in their code, aiding them as they protected whatever they thought of as theirs. If Tango lived his life like most other blazeborns have the last who-knows-how-long, then perhaps he could have cultivated his fury to be a mighty asset to his Pyre, likely tasked to guard a nether fortress from invaders, but that life wasn’t for him. Tango knew that for a fact, and even if he wasn’t as sure, he doubted his old Pyre would welcome him back with open arms after functionally deserting them.
Even if they would accept his return, Tango didn’t plan to crawl back to his old Pyre and prove them right, that he would regret leaving his home. There were times where he grew uncomfortably needy, desperate for a Pyre’s connection, but he’s learned to soothe himself by seeking out his friends. They were his Pyre now, even if he hadn’t expressed such a concept to them yet. They didn’t need to know the exact reason why he was suddenly clinging to anyone who would let him after emerging from working on redstone the past two weeks.
If the involuntary response had any uses for the life he led now, he didn’t know them. All Tango could see were downsides, his genetic coding maladapted to the world he was currently living in. Whenever his emotions got the best of him, he attempted to control himself, he really did, but it wasn’t like the fragility of the overworld could handle any margin of error like the nether could. Tango struggled often to tame the fire and bloodlust within him when every fiber of his being itched– screamed– to destroy, destroy, destroy!
Such an instinct may have been a strength to his ancestors, but it wasn’t to Tango, and he learned to despise this part of himself over the years. The willpower he had to gather in order to hold himself back– to prevent himself from becoming as hot as a dying star– was astronomical, and maintaining it was sickening.
When Tango’s vision went red, he would make senseless choices and take irrational risks, but there wasn’t much he could do. It wasn’t like he had a say in the coding of his genetics! It wasn’t his fault that he was hardwired for a much warmer climate, one where he could let off steam when it got this bad without causing irreparable damage! It wasn’t–
Do it, a voice in the back of his mind tempted. Burn bright and fierce. Show them how dangerous you really are. Make them fear you, Tango! Don’t let them view you as weak.
Tango shook his head as if to physically dismiss the thought, trying to bring himself back into the moment. If his friends were speaking to him, he wasn’t registering a thing they said. He knew that he needed to calm down, but the quickest way was to burn off steam, but it was too risky, it was too much! Too much, too much, too much–
He could accidentally hurt someone, which may have been fine if he was permitted to kill, but he wasn’t a red name yet, and he couldn’t break the rules like that without consequences, and he didn’t want the others to hate him or kick him out of the game... Tango didn’t want to lose his friends, his Pyre! He had worked too hard to get to where he was just to let it all slip through his fingers like grains of sand!
Smoke and fumes billowed off of him, unable to prevent their existence any longer. The rational part of his mind ordered him to jump into the water, to extinguish himself before this whole section of the map looked more like a meteor landing site than a base, but his body refused to obey. His body seemed to move without him consciously aware of what he was doing, and he could hear himself talking, but he couldn’t make out what he or his friends were saying. Focus, Tek! Focus!
Tango had to stay calm– try to stay calm– the normal way, even as his body was trembling with the effort. Even as he jumped around the base he hadn’t even managed to finish before someone (cough, Scar) took a flint and steel to it, attempting to outrun Tangastrapod, his snailificatior of death! Even as various snarls, growls, and irritated cries spilled out of him…
Everything was just building, building, building, and he braced for his will and spirit to finally Snap! under the pressure, and, and– it never came.
Instead, something pleasantly cold took Tango’s hand in their hold. The contrasting sensation seemed to snap Tango out of whatever funk he had entered, the red that flooded his senses clearing up as his consciousness was fully returned to his body. Tango blinked rapidly, encouraging his eyes to focus on the owner of the cold.
“It’s okay, Tango, just breathe,” Scott instructed serenely, tone even and touch soothing. “Big breath in, deep breath out, just like that. Good job, firefly, you’re doing great. Just like that, keep going, keep focusing on breathing and the sound of my voice.”
Tango did his best to match Scott’s exaggerated breathing, though he couldn't bring himself to maintain eye contact. As the blinding irritation eased, shame and self-consciousness took its place. Tango’s gaze fell to his right palm, the hand Scott was cradling gingerly.
Using his ice abilities, Scott traced designs made of ice on his up and down Tango’s arm. Because of Tango’s abnormally high body temperature, the ice designs didn’t last long, melting and then promptly turning into steam, but Scott didn’t complain. Instead, Scott simply acted as if the evaporated ice just gave him more of a canvas, replacing the designs as soon as the previous ones dissipated.
As Tango surrendered to the tranquil and pacifying nature of his boyfriend’s chilly touch, his emotions settled and his body temperature lowered enough for the flame on his head to shrink. Tango’s code prevented his fire from charring anyone or anything under a certain degree, which is part of what made his raging emotions so hazardous to those around him.
The ice designs Scott created began to last longer, Scott’s magic able to hold itself together against Tango’s typical range of heat. This meant that Scott’s canvas wasn’t renewing itself as fast, but that didn’t deter him. Instead, Scott expanded his canvas, trailing the artistry from Tango’s arm over his shoulder to spread the ice to his chest and then down his other arm.
Tango may have described it like a warm hug, but, well, it was quite the opposite, and it was fantabular, just so everyone was aware of that fact. He cracked a weak smile at the silliness of his mind, but it dropped after only a heartbeat of time as embarrassment took over as his primary emotion.
He slumped forward into his boyfriend, resting his forehead against Scott’s shoulder and sighing heavily. Scott wrapped his arms around him, pulling him closer to his chest. His boyfriend was so pleasantly cold that Tango wanted nothing more than to curl up in a comfortable bed and allow Scott to small spoon him, but that wasn’t an option right now… It wouldn’t be until the games were over. They were a part of different factions, and the session was still running, meaning they couldn’t stay still much longer or those stupid jerks would catch up, even though they seemed to have moved a decent bit away from their snails.
“Thank you,” Tango murmured, breaking the quiet peace sooner than he wanted, but he had already taken enough of Scott’s time. He knew it was important to Scott to play these games fair and by the rules, and the rules instructed against outside-the-game-earned favoritism, and Tango hadn’t done anything to earn Scott’s favor since Wild Life started. With how things have been going for him and his team, Tango was sure he’s done the opposite and he doubted that would change anytime soon.
“Of course, lovebug. It’s the least I could do.” Scott continued to rub gentle circles on Tango’s back as he pressed a chaste kiss against his forehead. Void, Tango loved him. “Feeling any better?”
Tango raised his head so he could look up at his boyfriend, forever grateful that Scott loved him back. Instead of a verbal answer, Tango reached up to cup Scott’s face with both his hands, gently guiding him down a few inches so Tango could kiss him. Scott allowed Tango to take the lead with the kiss, though he pulled away before it became too deep.
“I would love to stay here and kiss you breathless,” Scott started, sneaking in the flirt with a teasing gleam in his beautiful blue eyes, “but I don’t think our snails will leave us alone for much longer. I don’t know about you, but I would love not to go down a life when I could have prevented it.”
Tango’s tail straightened in alarm, spinning on his heel to look at where Scott had glanced. As expected, Tangastropod and whatever Scott’s snail was named were crawling dangerously close to them.
Scott interlocked Tango’s fingers with his before breaking into a mild run, pulling Tango behind him. “Come on! If they get too close, they will leap forward!”
Tango squeaked in surprise as he stumbled after his boyfriend, struggling to gain his footing at first, but he refused to let go of Scott’s hold, not yet. An amused laugh escaped Tango’s lips as he and his boyfriend ran away from their snails of death together, the humor not lost on him now that he was feeling better, and Scott joined in on his laughter, which was always music to Tango’s ears.
Scott hadn’t magically taken away his all-consuming emotions, of course… and Tango was sure he would become victim to them again, that much was to be assumed, but, well… Scott had been there for Tango when he had needed him, when he had needed an anchor to ground him to reality and help him regain control of himself, and that was more than enough for him. Tango knew it would all be okay, as long as he had his friends, his loved ones, his Pyre by his side.

I wasn't sure if you wanted him to be just an owl hybrid or for it to be combined with the rest of him, but then I had this idea so I went with it.
I swapped out his creeper and butterfly for Eurasian eagle-owl :)
Took a while but I had fun drawing it! Thank you for your vote.
