On a brighter note I've taken to cleaning and reorganising the kitchen since I'm the one that mainly uses it now and it gives me serotonin to see my baking supply all neat and tidy.

Last week I tried my hand at making a no bake matcha cheesecake and a matcha bread with red bean paste yeee

#doing the braid for the bread was fun and it turned out pretty #the only thing i don't like about making bread though is that i can't tell when it's proofed enough lol #also the no bake matcha cheesecake turned out nice although the cream cheese was a lil strong #but the recipe had an oreo crust so that balanced it a bit #i also made a brownie style batter with ube extract instead of cocoa powder and i could've sworn i took a photo???#but welp the photo is gone to the void somewhere #it was very purple and i remembered in that moment why i hate doing brownies #and that's because of the bake time lol #anyway that's been my current adventures in baking 🤡🫡#also had a rare moment 2 days where i decided to just clean out the bathroom's sink cupboard/drawers at 2am #which took like 3 hours at which point i also decided to sweep and mop the house #cause apparently i can't clean at normal hours

Why must dieting be absolutely fucking miserable

#ed blogs please dni i am not associated with you #i’ve only been calorie counting for 2.5 days and i’m already SICK OF THIS #why is every food i like to eat like 200 calories per mouthful #i’m planning dinner because i’m SO hungry already and why is a dollop of mayonnaise like the same amount of calories #as a whole can of butter beans. what’s the reason for that #i’m NOT switching to light mayo. at that point i’d rather just cut mayo from my diet altogether #light mayo; reduced fat margarine; light cream cheese & reduced salt marmite all taste horrendous to me #light cheddar as well. i’m not eating it!!!#don’t get me started on having to cut out weed because i will just start crying #being sober turns me into such a hater but the last thing i need is anything that will increase my appetite #i’ll be fine in like a week once my body adapts to eating 2074 calories instead of like fucking… 3000 or whatever it was #most of which were junk. i’m very sad that i can’t eat more than one sweet or piece of chocolate per day but i’m just trying not to think #about it. and while i’m on the subject; since when are fibre one brownies so boring. i feel like they used to taste legitimately good #i’m going to take up running again. because then i will be able to eat more. but also i will be hungrier. i CANNOT win #they really need to invent a low calorie food that actually tastes good to me. every time i google it i’m like eurgh #celery and nuts. fuck off #if i didn’t have arthritis in my knee and a family history of heart problems i wouldn’t be doing this shit but alas! i probably should #i just want to take like 20kg of strain off my knees it should not be this hard. and yet!#personal

neither of the choc chip recipes i used come even close to the Family Recipe (variation on the back of the choc chip package) but i do not want to use shortening touching shortening makes me shiver and shudder and weep...... but i cannot keep getting disappointed by cookies. and no one else is gonna make em for me because they're gf and im the main one making them. throttling someone in secret government position for non gross feeling crisco

#IMPOSSIBLE. because it's crisco.#next time ill try making it with half browned butter half reg butter and the rest of the recipe the same as moms..... maybe thatll give the #flavor i need #the one i just tried used half cream cheese but for some reason it gave a sort of mushroomy aftertaste. and the texture was way off and it #just wasn't super flavorful at all..... idk maybe itll be better when theyre fully cooled off or frozen bc hot cream cheese often tastes #weird #UGH. maybe i should just stick to the tried n true fire brownie cookies because those refuse to fail me
