d) treats everyone cruelly as soon as he gets power and tries to seize everything for himself,

e) finds it fascinating that he can stop a person's heart for fun, and

f) tries to murder Kirk instead of admitting that he's a danger to the universe,

and then chooses to replace him with Bones, a man who:

a) tries to save Kirk from heartbreak at every opportunity,

b) gets him to smile and relax by being genuinely interested in how he's doing and telling him that he's great and respected just as he is,

c) openly toasts intelligent and powerful women,

d) treats everyone kindly as soon as he gets power and tries to use it to help as many people as he can,

e) cries about how people suffered when medical treatments were less advanced, and

f) says, "Jim, I can't destroy life, even if it's to save my own. I can't."

I actually love movie theatres so much. no matter how many ppl are in the room with you it’s always fun. if you’re the only one there then it’s your own little private show. if there’s one or two more people then you feel like you’re sharing a little secret with these strangers you will never interact with. if the whole place is packed then you get to listen to the audience collectively laughing or gasping or ooohing in reaction to the fun bits. going to movies is just such a good time.

Privately craving for Lilia and Sebek to go off on a school trip together and leave Silver sick in bed. Like, oh, would you look at that, only Malleus is left to care for him... Malleus being so scared to fuck it up, but Lilia asks if he should come back to make Silver his cure-all recipe, and Malleus is suddenly very eager to take on the role of caretaker and very confident that he knows everything there is to know about a human's immune system

And Silver is so embarrassed and guilty every step of the way with Malleus caring for him too, like no he doesn't need water he can get it himself (he collapses the second he tries to get up) no he can go without a cold towel, please don't worry about him (20 mins later his fever is up to 104f/40c). Malleus isn't going to tempt fate by leaving him to attend his classes, lest he come back and Silver has gone into a coma, or worse. Silver is completely passed out with squirrels and birds sneaking into his room to lay with him and soothe him and Malleus is losing his mind trying to find a book that explains why his human isn't fully recovered by hour 2

LONG COVID FUCKING SUCKS BALLS

when i first heard it i was like "huh, that must suck. but it only lasts a few months so its not that bad"

AND THEN A YEAR WENT BY and scientists were like "oh fuck some people still have it. uh. oh no. it can last a while"

but I DIDNT KNOW THAT! I was living my life! And then I got covid for the second time. and it never fucking left. I haven't had my lungs be pain-free for a whole day in FUCKING YEARS

and the worst part? my general family doctor thinks its not a big deal. at least, that's what he ACTS like. he's like "oh i'm sure the constant pain ur in is just long covid. and i can't do anything phsycial that's immediate like medication sooo deal with it :) just exercise more :)."

next visit, 6 months later: "oh it's not gone? weird. it'll be gone in a few months. exercise so you can get stronger and banish it"

next visit, 6 months later: "ur still in pain and tired all the time? uh. exercise more."

next visit, 6 months later: "still?? u need to eat better and exercise more. ok bye."

me, next visit: "ya know what? it's been like 2 years. he's not gonna listen. i wont bother bringing it up"

so i stopped bring it up. i'm tired of him saying "exercise!" while i have repeatedly presented him symptoms that make it hard to do exercise anywhere near consistently. like. what even COULD he do if this turns out to be chronic? i know what he WOULD do. exercise exercise exercise. no other solutions offered, no advice on HOW to exercise with chest pain, just exercise.

Well, the game industry layoffs have finally reached my neck of the woods as well and I've been let go of my position as General 2D Artist at Redox Interactive.

Not sure what to do next, but I'll probably go back to university in September. I think it's time for a new chapter 💫

Finally starting to feel human again

Ok but actually how is covid 19 100% effective pain management for my severe, completely disabling chronic pain disorder. What ABOUT covid makes it completely override the severe musculoskeletal spasms I have DAILY. I can barely go one day without posting on here about how my bones hurt because they're desiccating, my spine hurts because I have deterioration and/or arthritis in 12 vertebrae, the pain presents as every muscle in my torso clenching and spasming basically all the time unless I'm cozy in bed. I cannot sit or stand for more than 9 minutes without pain. Why does having fucking COVID make me 100% pain free all day every day. Why does this happen dude

My mom has COVID and I'm starting to get sick and usually I assume it's a cold considering my symptoms but I dunno if it's also COVID. No fever, just a phelgmy cough, sore throat, and some body aches(?) Been currently masking just in case. Hoping that my symptoms fall off soon because I have a con this weekend and want to unmask.
