Hey have we considered that the reason that one guy in the Prequels was really chill about offering some Jedi death sticks isn't some massive conspiracy that the Jedi are all doing massive amounts of drugs, or even that he didn't realize they were Jedi, but instead that arresting people for non-violent drug offenses is fucking evil and the Jedi aren't cops? Tonight we were out shopping for a last minute ‘quirky’ gift and I stumbled into the “wellness” section of this particular shop where you could buy things like roll on perfume bottles that upon further inspection had shards of ‘healing crystals’ suspended in essential oil based perfumes being sold as a ‘chakra rebalancing’ oil.

There was also what appeared to be an eye mask made out of rose quartz blocks threaded together (it did not look comfortable) and a handwritten note presumably from the staff about what it was supposed to help with. Everything from puffy eyes to migraines to mental wellness.

I couldn’t see a price tag but the sales person who caught me looking at it informed me cheerfully it was one of their best selling wellness items.

So, curious, I looked it up just now after we got home and reader, it’s $75.

Danny is a Fae at Starbucks

So! Danny works by Fae Rules, Names and all, but he has no idea about that because he was forced to run away from Home (and the Ghost portal) before his Ghostly Education could be completed.

He runs to Gotham and eventually gets a job at Starbucks, or some other Cafe.

He has to ask the question "Could I get your name please?" A LOT while working there. And unintentionally steals hundreds of Names by the end of his first day, much less a week or a month into his job.

One day, Constantine visits Gotham for a Meeting with Batman, but by the time he gets to the Meeting Point he has bigger issues to discuss.

This bird was recently posted by a breeder who is saying it's a new color mutation, and that the feathers are actually like this- the bird is not wet, it just looks like crap because the feathers are weak/soft (lacking keratin). He seems pretty intent on breeding more of it, as well, which imo is putting profit over animal welfare.

Hopefully enough other peafowl folks (or heck, regular folks, you're welcome to say something if you can be POLITE) will speak gently to him about it before it gets that far, and help him to reconsider. I've already expressed my own concerns to him. At least if he goes through with it, he'll be doing so well aware that he shouldn't be doing it. But I'm really, really hoping he reconsiders.

world's fluffiest noodle!!

i've been meaning to use my wood dragon's face & legs for a poseable creature ever since i made them, but did not have the energy. my partner suggested i could just make a little noodle, which would be way less cumbersome to handle, and the energy was summoned. i'm amazingly happy with the result & how flexible it turned out to be. it can also stand on its back legs, which was not intentional, but which i was delighted to discover.

this is also one of those projects that really validates my material hoarding tendencies; i have had this fake wool fabric for over 20 years. i remember making myself a vest of it as a tween, and then never anything from the leftovers, but finally they found their use.

Final manifestations for Book 7?

I'm trying REALLY hard not to build up any solid expectations, because I wanna go in ~fresh~! they're already so far away from anything I thought would happen (not in a bad way, I'm just accepting that I'm on Miss Yana's Wild Ride at this point and we're seeing this thing through 'til the end, by gum). so it's nothing too major, but:

they've been handing new crying expressions out like candy lately, I want to see some delicious Malleus tears.

honestly I want everyone to cry buckets. their tears sustain me. the more Silver angst specifically I get the happier I am.
